YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE PIRATE AND HIS GODDESS QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
This quest unlocks the sim sign and teen idol hobby for your teenage sims to complete, most of this quest is completing the hobby. If you complete this quest in the 7 day time limit you will unlock premium 3 star instruments. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the hobby but you won’t get the premium instruments

NOTE: You need a teenage sim to complete this quest
- Buy a stack of magazines- these can be found in the living room section of buy mode (you won’t be able to buy anything else until you buy these)
- Make a teenager read teen celebrity magazine- 4 minutes 33 seconds (click on the stack of magazines and choose the teen celebrity option- only a teen can read this!)
- Make a teenager watch funny cat videos- 1 hour 40 minutes (on the computer)
- Send a teenager to the park
- Create a plan to become famous- 6 hours 10 minutes (using the blackboard in the park on the pier)
YOU HAVE NOW UNLOCKED KEYBOARDS:
- Buy a keyboard from the home store (in the hobby and career items section)
The next goals have you completing the Teen Idol Hobby, each time you use one of the instruments you unlock in this quest you will write a piece of music, once you find all pieces of music you will have completed the hobby collection.
- Write music (using the keyboard to find notes- cheapest keyboard takes an hour)
- Write 3 pieces of music (you have to find a new note to be counted as a piece of music using the keyboard so you need to find 2 more new pieces of music, when you have found all 3 you will unlock the next instrument)
YOU HAVE NOW UNLOCKED BASS GUITARS:
You unlock different instruments with each line of notes you find, the higher star rating the instruments have, the faster your sim will write music
Once you’ve found all the keyboard notes you will unlock the bass guitar which you can buy from the hobby and career items section of buy mode (cheapest takes 2 hours to make music) then when you have found all the bass guitar notes you unlock the drum kit and so on..
- Write 6 pieces of music (you need to use the bass guitar to find the next 3 pieces)
YOU HAVE NOW UNLOCKED DRUM KITS:
You can buy a drum kit from the hobby and career items section of buy mode
- Write 9 pieces of music (you need to use the drum kit to find the next 3)
YOU HAVE NOW UNLOCKED ELECTRIC GUITARS:
You can buy an electric guitar from the hobby and career items section of buy mode
- Write 12 pieces of music (you need to use the electric guitar to find the next 3)
YOU HAVE NOW UNLOCKED MICROPHONES:
You can buy a microphone from the hobby and career items section of buy mode
- Write 15 pieces of music (you need to use the microphone to find the last 3)
When you complete the last row you will unlock a magazine photoshoot, this is a resource needed to upgrade the sim sign, keep reading for more information!

Once you complete this quest you unlock the Sim Sign
You will find the sim town sign near the premium residences by the estate agency- you need to upgrade it to get the chance to earn a bonus in revenue. When you upgrade it to level 3 you unlock the teen idol mansion- the first one is free! To upgrade the sim sign you need to collect the resources, to find these resources you can redo the collection and when you finish a line you get a resource or you can find them randomly when you do an action!

Time Limited Prize: Premium Instruments
Is the prize worth it? they are 3 star instruments so you can complete a collection quicker without buying the 3 star instruments that cost LP (but there is no difference between premium and 3 star instruments apart from the cost)
Where can I find them? In the hobby and career items section
Cost? Keyboard (S6,000) Bass (S6,500) Drumkit (S6,000) Guitar (S6,200) and Microphone (S5,500)

Can I use a neighbor’s house to write the pieces of music if I don’t want to buy the 3 star instruments?
No you can’t, you have to complete quests in your town.
How many times do you have to complete the teen idol hobby to get the sign to lvl 3?
You need 30 of each resource to build it and each time you complete the collection you get one of each resource you need

I am just gonna post this comment here because, I can’t post a comment on the other post which is about neighbors, so i have this friend on facebook and then when i visit her town my town suddenly increased its value everytime i visit it. I don’t know what’s happening and don’t know how to stop it, will this affect my game? Because I didn’t cheat though it just increasing si much! Thankyou
It is just a glitch, nothing to worry about, they may fix it one day but it doesn’t really affect your game.

No, buildings and houses prices only increase when you build new places and houses, your town value does not affect this, believe me this is not a major problem so don’t worry about it.

Are you using the guitar? You need to use the guitar to find pieces 10,11 and 12
I just bought a new guitar and found one new piece, but the progress still stops at 83%.

Writing the 6 pieces of music is taking a really long time. I tried many times, 20 to be exact. I also wasted diamonds on the hobby area and I keep on getting the same notes over and over again. Please help and I love your blog. 🙃
Are you using the bass guitar to find these notes?

I’m preparing for this quest and want to know if the sign costs. Do I need to start saving up?
The sign doesn’t cost anything apart from the resources it takes to build it.
I wanted to ask can I get the notes and stuff with LP like the first set to get it was 3 LP if you wanted to skip it so will the task still accepted or no? Also If I don’t finish the quest in time can I still unlock the teen idol hobby to get the mansion?
You can’t skip the quest goals but you can use LPs to do a lucky spin on a row to get one of the notes in that row on the hobby collection.
If you don’t finish the quest in time you just don’t get the time limited prize, like it says in the FAQs section of this post, you will still unlock the hobby and sim sign to unlock the mansion once you complete the quest.
Can I still do this quest with more than 1 teen because I have 3 teen sims right now and it’s not letting me start this quest even though I’ve completed all the quests before it and I’m on level 21.
Yes the amount of teens you have doesn’t matter but between the teenagers quest and this one you have to complete higher education and the pirate and his goddess, have you completed both of those first?

All you can do is keep going as you will find it eventually, there are no tricks to it unfortunately.

But I’ve found myself in a sticky situation… I have thousands of magazines from a glitch and am still on the Higher Education Quest that has no time limit. Before I finish that quest, I was wondering if I am going to have to sell ALL the magazines in my inventory before I can buy one or will it let me buy it from the home store once I get to that goal? Thank you so much again!
You’re welcome! There is a way you should be able to complete this without placing them all, you firstly need to place one and then click on it and select the blue duplicate button, when it turns to the green duplicate button it should give you the option to buy the next one instead of placing one for free 🙂

You need to update the sim sign to level 3, you earn the resources to upgrade the sign by completing the hobby several times. Once the sim sign is fully upgraded you will be able to build the teen mansion for free. when you said that we have to redo the hobby do you mean completely? like make the sim forget what they learned from the music hobby and make them start a new hobby then make them go back to the music hobby to win the things for the sim sign? sorry if it was confusing🤧🙃
No, you click to restart the hobby collection (the screen that appears each time you find an item when you complete the hobby) once that collection is complete you need to restart the collection to be able to find the items again to win the resources for the sim sign. Restarting the hobby collection won’t make your sim lose their hobby level. You can only make them forget the hobby by changing them to a different hobby but even if you do this you will still be able to find all the collectibles without having to unlock the instruments again. Sometimes it is helpful to make them forget a hobby once they reach the highest level so you can collect the rewards again for levelling up.
