Discovery Quests can be completed in any order (although some will only appear once a previous discovery quest has been completed) but you can only complete one discovery quest at a time.

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Why can’t I do a discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Do I have to do a discovery quest?
If you don’t start a discovery quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started a discovery quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start discovery quests whenever you like, there is no rush!
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests
Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete a quest in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit
I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal
Some times are really off/ different goals show for me, why is this?
This will be because the quest has been updated recently, I try my best to keep the posts up to date but it is difficult as I cannot redo every quest each time the game is updated. If you notice any changes please let me know so I can update the post

Hello there. thank you for this great blog. I just recently back playing the sims free play after 55 weeks on break and its really surprised me with so many new quests need to be done. I just have 1 question, if u dont mind answering, did the time limit will begin right after i click to build the Sorcerous Supplies store or after the building completed? I can see on the post that some quests you said “Build the xxxxx to access this quest”. All the building now needed more than 2 days to finish. I really want that dragon pet but im scared to start it in case i failed to complete it on time 😦 Anyway thanks again for your hard works on this blog xoxo
You’re welcome! The time limit for the quest will start once the building is complete (you will need to click on the building once it is constructed and the quest will begin)

Thanks weightlessmagic , but while doing the a dance to remember quest , I saw another discovery quest that when you find a puppy at the park starts . Did you do it ? I can’t find anything starts with a puppy . I don’t know the quest’s name . I think it starts at level 12 because when i was level 11 I didn’t find it .

I am currently on level 16 on the sims freeplay the puppy has been at the park for a few levels now everytime I click on it it says something along the lines that I’m in another quest to come back when I’m not so I did just that and same thing again how can I get the option to mess with the puppy
As explained in this post you cannot complete discovery quests at the same time, finish one of these you are on first and then you will be able to do this quest.

You must be doing one of the discovery quests that is listed in this post, you cannot do this quest until one of them is complete.

I would recommend completing the balcony quest next then the basement one, mainly because I just love designing houses!

No it isn’t a problem as you don’t have to age your toddler during the quest for toddlers (make sure you have a toddler before you start the in da clubhouse quest though!)

Unfortunately you do but it isn’t really possible to build a balcony without a second floor! There isn’t much you can do apart from complete all main quests in order until you can do that one, then you can do the balcony quest.

So if I’ve done all the major quest and ask but completion of the mall why is there a cruise ship docked that days I can not complete yet? And after I have completed that is that it? Is the game over?
That ship was part of an event that was around a while ago but that is not available to complete right now, they will probably bring it back again one day though.
And no, the game is never over, they constantly update it with new quests to complete to keep it fresh.

Is the bubble (as shown in the first picture in this post: https://thegirlwhogames.wordpress.com/2015/08/01/the-sims-freeplay-nanny-knows-best-quest/) above the nanny’s head? If not you will need to find that bubble in the park and click on that to be able to start this quest.
Hello again Ms. Amazing! Can I do a discovery quest and a time limited hobby event at the same time? Say for example, A Dance to Remember and the Spell Casting Hobby event. Especially since they are both time limited… Or is it better not to start a discovery quest while a time limited event is happening, particularly for those like me who still have few sims (8 or less)?
You can do discovery quests and time limited hobbies at the same time but as you are still early in the game I wouldn’t right now. You probably still have so many main quests to do which it is is best to make those your priority until you have the money and sims to be doing a lot of timed events/quests (when the main quests are over you might get a bit bored and want some of the other quests to do then!)
But that is just my opinion if you want to do another discovery quest while completing a timed event now then you can!

The styles of time quest is not currently available, it is not a discovery quest, it is a limited time quest so it is only available for a certain amount of time when they add it to the game.
Hi! I don’t know how it happened but when I finished Saved by the Spell I ended up with Pretty little Planters started. Sadly, I do not have the mall yet. Is there a way to reset it so I can do a discovery quest that I can actually accomplish?

Thanks! You can do discovery quests whenever you like so you don’t have to complete them as soon as they appear, they will be available for you to do at a later date.
I am at level 52 and have completed all the discovery quests listed as well as all hobbies. Im just wondering what do i do now? Are there any more quests updated to the game by the creators or should I just go ahead and delete the game. I have unlimited money, LP’s, and Social points. My town is top notch from penthouses to every architech home they provide. I know there are things that still need to be unlocked because i have a second Sims game on my device that has items my other game doesn’t have but nothings popping up to allow me to unlock them. What do I do at this point? Did i beat the game or what???
They update the game every month or so adding brand new content, quests and events so there is always plenty to do, the game never ends!

Yes, you cannot complete another discovery quest until you complete the one you are currently on. Discovery quests don’t go away until you complete them.
I think one quest is missing. It’s called “A Bump-y Ride” and it starts after you build the Maternity Store (located between the recording studio and the real estate workplace). I’m saving money for it now so I barely know anything about it but I can send you the tasks once I finish. I have no idea which level it is available from though.

I have finished the Peaceful Patios quest and can’t find Bree to start Lovey Dovey Balconies. I thought she was in the park but it turns out she’s not. Where is she?
She should appear in the park 24 hours after you complete the patio quest as long as you have already completed the multi story renovations quest as you need a multi story house before you can add a balcony.
Having a bit of a dilemma. I started the Basement of Kings quest recently, only to discover I needed a pet to complete it! I have not yet started/done the Puppy Odyssey quest, so I cannot get a pet. Will I never be able to do another discovery quest because of this? I can’t finish the basement one because I don’t have a pet, but I can’t unlock pets because you can only do one discovery quest at a time! Please help!
You don’t need a puppy for this, you just need a pet so once you have built the pet store you will be able to get a pet to complete this task.

Hey. I was doing a dance to remember quest and I couldn’t complete it in time. When I try to click on other quest like I try to do a bumpy ride quest, I can’t do it as it tells me to complete the other quest. Does it mean that if I couldn’t complete the quest (a dance to remember), I cannot proceed with other quest?
Even if you don’t complete in the time limit you still need to complete the quest before you can move on to another discovery quest.
I love your blog, it is very helpful for my sims journey! Though for these discovery quests do you have a recommendation of the order you should go because I reviewed some of them and I saw that they need certain stuff in order to complete? Thank you!
