The Sims Freeplay- Luxury Laundry Live Event

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys- may differ from actual version

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER!

ONCE THE 5 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS TO PURCHASE ANY PACKS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore arts and crafts items or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!

Do you want items such as washing machines, dryers and ironing boards in your simtown? Complete this event to unlock those and other highly requested items.

Live Events are very similar to a community event but this time you don’t need help from everyone who plays the sims freeplay to unlock the prizes, there are only personal prizes this time! If you haven’t already you need to update your game to the dance party update for this event to appear

This event is only here for 5 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event

NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

NOTE: I completed this on the Early Access Beta so some information may be slightly different but I will update the post as I complete the event.

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the scissors event button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the gurgle free sinks! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SPs or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the gurgle free sinks (click on the scissor event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the scissor event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus gems as well if you speed it up!

Stuck on these tasks? Watch my video here:

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles,  300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.

Thank you for everyone who let me know what Laura Craft does!

Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future.

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.

I'm a 22 year old from England who is passionate about being creative, I would like to say I'm good with words but I'm really not! Hopefully you will find my blogs helpful and entertaining! Enjoy! x

  1. So many cool stuff! I’ll have to put all my Sims to cook, so I can have LPS to transform in SPS because I want everything, I don’t want to choose. I completed the party event and the prom event, I’m hoping to complete this one too. Good luck to everyone! May the spin plant be always in our favor.

  2. If we unlock all the prizes but don’t have enough supplies to buy them all, which ones do you recommend to use the supplies on?

  3. Thanks for all that info – only thinking about the number of resources needed, I think I’ll say goodbye to a full night’s sleep already 😉 Good luck for you if you gotta complete it once more with us others!

  4. Question! After purchasing the tiles, would they still remain free and available after the event, even if I don’t use them?

Also! This is the first event I’m participating! (Not counting the previous party event since I joined in the last 2 days). What advice would you recommend to be able to finish the event? Right now I have 2 candle stations.

And thank you so much for your amazing blog! You are super helpful! I have completed all quests in time so far c:

    • They will still be free once the event is over.
It is best to have all the candle stations and try to do the shortest option as much as possible, that way you will earn the most candles and be able to use your left over candles on the spin plant to earn constructor coins without using social points.
      You’re welcome!

  5. Love the tiles but it’s hard to get really excited about this one or the last party room. I guess losing the French chateau has made me bitter 😁 Thanks for showing us the prizes!

  6. Do these do anything? We have never needed a washer and dryer before in sims.

  7. Should I put 4 sims to make candles?

  8. Doesn’t this event seem short? Others have given us 8-10 days to complete. Is it possible to finish this one?

  9. This live event has me puzzled. When would clothes ever need to be washed??? That is not something I have encountered in this game.
    Thanks!

  10. i just wish they give us more time to finish this live event. It’s impossible to finish within 5 days (especially for those who don’t have access to their phones all the time!)

  11. Okay, so I’ve been crunching numbers on the different items needed and the length it takes/took to get to unlocking the later stations, and honestly I don’t think 5 days is really enough for this challenge – and if so just *barely* and/or with help via social points. We’ve already gone through two days and even doing the short option all day long with no gaps + the long one at night, I still haven’t collected the 14,000 candles needed for the prizes needing candles to purchase, let alone am I anywhere near the nearly 40,000 pottery needed. In fact with the pottery, over the past two days, I haven’t quite managed 14,000 pottery, so assuming a 7,000 average, that leaves one about 5,000 short (I could admittedly be adding the numbers wrong, and not taking into account bonuses or anything like that). Still, it seems this one was definitely rigged against us (not that they all aren’t, but the party house one seemed way more reasonable imo – it was a couple days longer, right?). I’m bummed because this is an event where I definitely want all of the things because it feels like an all or nothing scenario (to me). Having a laundry room without managing to get the washer and dryer, or only get only of the two, would just be sort of annoying.

    • I agree I have done the same with no bonus ( well maybe 200). I really wanted everything mostly the washer and dryer. Don’t really care for the tiles.
Love the game. Thanks a lot for the blog without it I would have never got pass a certain part.

  12. I love all the prizes for this event but sadly I don’t i can finish this event on time. It sucks that this event is only 5 days long and the amount of resources needed are more than what we can make. I feel that it is really very hard to unlock all the prizes unless you involve real money. I find that many live and community events lately are getting harder and impossible to complete it. I hope ea will bring back the events

  13. What happens if you don’t complete and not manage to buy the prizes? Can they be bought from the store? Or will the items be lost?

    • They cannot be brought if you don’t manage to complete it, you will have to wait for them to bring the event back again to get another chance of completing it and earning those items.

  14. Hi, love your blog! What did you mean when you said you completed this already on the Early Access Beta, can everyone do this?

    • Not many people get this, I get access to the beta version of the game to make the post and video before the event is released so its all ready to go when it needs to be, I still have to complete it on my own game once it is released.

  15. I’m so excited about this! For the first time (other than a community event) I’m actually having enough items! Then again, I’ve gotten into the habit of writing down how many of each, how long it will take to get that many, and so I have a plan of action lol. I make sure to set it for a longer amount before I go to bed to try to get as much as I can, and then check it as soon as I get up to get as many as I can. Right now I have everything unlocked except the last three (construction coins, SP, other construction coins, and the final prize). I just need more glass so I can get the washer and dryer. I haven’t gotten the benches or shelves, but I mostly want the washer and dryer. I also bought Laura and so that way every two hours I can get another 500 glass and hopefully have enough! I hope these quests come back so I can finish what I didn’t get (this, and what was the last one, the dance house? And I know there was one before that. I finally finished the island and the spa, and maybe one other, but I have hope this time! Two days and all I need is like 12000 glass…. fingers crossed!

    • Good luck! I only need constructor coins now (as usual!) so hopefully the spin plant will be in my favour this time so I can get the last two packs- the shelves and counters!

  16. You are the biggest help for the Sims Freeplay! If I want to know anything about quests or live events, I go to your blog. Plus you are very knowledgeable and realistic. I love your post about how the live events are so hard to complete, because I can never complete them either! Thanks for being a big help and keep being awesome!

  17. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to Freeplay. Tired of waiting I paid off the ransom for 15 constructor coins.

  18. I unlocked every single thing in 3 days because I really wanted all of them. But the spin plant hasn’t been in my favor, it’s frustrating. I Just keep making more candles and spinning for 1 or 2 coins. I still need to purchase the washer and dryer, gotten the rest. But I don’t have so much sps and when I spinned 20lps, I got just 3sps. Now I’m out of lps too. I’m so frustrated, I really want all the prices, I’ve barely slept in the last 4 days. What can I do about the spin plant situation? I don’t want all my efforts to be in vain.

    • Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do about the spin plant, it is just luck and I usually seem to earn 1-2 coins each time but this time I got the jackpot so was able to complete this event but I haven’t completed an event before this one for a very long time due to the spin plant issue. All you can really do is make as many candles as possible so you can use as many as possible on the spin plant. Hopefully you will be more lucky in the next event!

  19. Hey if I managed to unlock everything but I have not managed to claim because of lack of constructor coins, will everythingbe gone or will there be a buffer time given after the 5 days to earn enough to purchase? Because I rmb it happened for one of the events previously! Correct me if I rmb it wrongly thank you!

    • You have 2 days once the event is over to purchase the prizes using the resources you have already collected or social points, you cannot collect anymore resources in these 2 days.

  20. having a hard time getting lps and consutions coins if i can get 100 more i well have the last bit needed

  21. Yaaaaaay I completed the event! (First time since I’ve been playing this game) (; . Even though we only had 5 days to do it, I feel like ea made it slightly easier this time, so I had just the time to collect all the arts and crafts and constructor coins I needed! Sooo happy 😊!!!

    • I also completed it without buying Laura Craft or using any SPs and LPs, so I’m over the moon right now! 😜

    • Same! This is the first event I’ve managed to complete for ages thanks to 3 grasshoppers on the spin plant 🙂 it was easier as we needed to collect less resources so thanks EA for listening!

  22. I really hope the next live/community event will be one we have already done before, so I have a chance to finish the other ones as they were harder to complete…

  23. So I started playing this a few months ago while I was recovering from an illness and I’ve played every day and night since. Now that I need to get back to my life I’m worried about what will happen with my Sims if I take a break for a few days at a time or (gasp) delete the app all together until I can come back. My husband and kids say its time to live in the real world for awhile.

    • As long as you save to the cloud before deleting the app you will be able to download your saved data when you reinstall, nothing else will happen to your sims, they may just be in a bad mood when you return but they won’t die

  24. Wish there was more time to complete task.loved the idea of having a washer and dryer. Hoping the events come around sgain

  25. Would you recommend the option of 2hrs 30mins over the 8hrs 30mins one? Because it looks like you can make more with the first option.
