The Sims Freeplay- Wedding Belles Live Event

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys- may differ from actual version

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER

ONCE THE 7 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS TO PURCHASE ANY PACKS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore arts and crafts items or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!

This latest live event is wedding themed, start now to unlock brand new items, hair styles, outfits and even a wedding venue house template so your sims can get married in a proper ceremony! Update your game to the latest version now to access this new event!
Live Events are very similar to a community event but this time you don’t need help from everyone who plays the sims freeplay to unlock the prizes, there are only personal prizes! If you haven’t already you need to update your game to the wedding belles update for this event to appear

Check out my Guide to Completing Live Events (including tips!) HERE!

This event is only here for 12 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event

NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

Can’t find your arts and crafts stations? Click on the craft station in your event tab to get the option to find your station, it will take you to the house where your stations can be found!

NOTE: I completed this on the Early Access Beta so some information may be slightly different but I will update the post as I complete the event.

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the wedding cake event button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the Flower Power pack! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SPs or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the flower power pack (click on the wedding cake event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)
Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the wedding cake event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus gems as well if you speed it up!

Stuck on these tasks? Watch my video here:

34.Wedding Ceremony and Reception (Wedding Venue Template!)

You will only unlock the wedding ceremony and reception if you manage to buy all the other personal progress prizes in the time limit, the first one built is free after that they will cost simoleons. I absolutely love this house, the ceremony space in the garden is elegant, the first dancefloor in the dining room looks beautiful at night and then your sims can party the night away on the second floor!

You can built it on a standard or premium house lot, the only difference is there is a larger gap between the seating for the ceremony and the house. It isn’t often I say this but I do actually prefer the standard one

You also unlock the industrial grill, fridge (kitchen section) and countertops (countertops section) as well as the wedding instruments and two bars (decorations section)

Watch my wedding ceremony and reception tour here:

How do you get your sims married here?
1. Your sims can already be married and still use the ceremony to get remarried or your two sims need to be engaged with the option to get married in the interactions between those two sims
2. Have your guests seated- select watch ceremony on the chairs
3. You will need someone to officiate the wedding, have this sim click on the wedding arbour and select the option to officiate wedding
4. Get the first sim into position, have this sim select wait for partner on the wedding arbour
5. Time to get married! Have the second sim select get married on the wedding arbour
6. A pop up will appear asking what how you want your sims to live in when they are married (this is the sims last name they will take)
7.They will walk down the aisle, stare into each others eyes for a few minutes, kiss and will be married!
8. If your sims weren’t already married a pop up will appear to say they are now married- you can remarry them again and again here (as long as its to the same sim!)

Watch their wedding video here:

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles,  300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.

Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future.

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.

  1. Did the wedding bells live event already get started, or will we be able to start the 12 day time limit later this week? I won’t be able to play for a couple days so I’m thinking of how I’ll still get the most out of it.
Thanks so much for how much this blog has already helped me so far.

  2. I’m not wedding crazy or anything but I love this update! The dresses and hairstyles are so modern and beautiful! Super impressed and excited. Your blog is the first place I go to for questions on new updates, you do such great overviews and answer questions you know players will ask before anyone even has a chance to. Thanks so much for everything you do!

  3. Restocking time isn’t 2 sec in my game 😦

  4. Hey! Can you change the property and build a house here instead?

  5. How do earn more than 30k lifestyle and social points up til level 29? ive tried cooking like youve suggested but i think it is still take time (although other options are way slower). im at level 40 i dont cant even get up to 200 LPs and forget about my SP… if you have answered this, i apologise.

    • This is the early access version of the game I get sent so I can complete these events quickly before they are released so I can create posts and videos ready for the release date so they pack it full of thousands of LPs and SPs so I can speed up everything, my game has a lot less LPs and SPs but I still think the cooking hobby is one of the best ways to earn LPs quickly 🙂

  6. It’s a good thing they gave us more days for this one. We need like 1000 CCs this time – may the spin plant gods bless us!

  7. Do my sims have to get married to use the hair styles and dresses? A lot of my sims are already married 😮 does the hair last longer than the wedding?

    • No they don’t but as I said in the post you can get your sims remarried here even if they are already married.
Once you unlock the hairstyles they will be in your wardrobe forever.

  8. Are adults the only ones who get to wear the bridesmaids and groomsmen clothing? Is there anything for teens?

    • There is nothing for teens unfortunately, just adults.

    • I apologize to thegirlwhogames I asked this same question in my comment, I didn’t see this answered here before! @Anonymous, theyre offering sets (in the store for real money) for toddlers and preteens, so I wish they would offer them for teens too! I will say though, I couldn’t resist getting the pack for the toddlers and they are just darling! Especially the little bitty tuxes for the boys! 😊😊

  9. Hi! I’m wondering if I update the game the progress I’ve made so far won’t change on anything, right? And, the event has already started or it will start once I update the game?

    Thanks!

    • All your progress remains, the only thing that will change is you will be able to access the new events and changes, the event has already started but if you update soon you will still have most of the time limit, if you update too late you will miss out on this event.

  10. Hey how’s it going? I read your blog all the time for the latest updates and I was wondering if you know when the new long hair hobby event will start? Also you are so beautiful and you should go into modeling

    • I don’t know for sure but it will probably be starting some time this week, usually after a live event they give us a few days break before starting the next event 🙂
      Aw thanks!

  11. I love this new update!!!! The clothing and hairstyles are lovely and the furniture is pretty neat too! The house is great as well! Until now I have been marrying my sims in an empty lot that I fitted out to be a wedding reception (and the romance island occasionally). I am almost done with the event and I am running a little short on constructor coins. Do you suggest using the flower patch frequently as well as continuing to create candles? (P.S Sorry if you have already answered my question).

  12. Do the dj set and speaker play a wedding theme

  13. I really really love this update, fingers crossed i complete it! Thankyou so much for all your posts and the time and effort you put into it, without it i’d be completely stuck!!!

  14. Do u know where I can get the floor tht they dance on

  15. is it better to make more items for a longer period of time, or less items but faster?

  16. They wont cut the cake even though they are partners. What should I do?

  17. Love the video you made – really entertained me… and makes me want the house even more now 🙂 Well done x

  18. I think I started this event on time but I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it. I’m only at the reception decor right now and there are only 5 days left on my timer. I really want the wedding lot though. Would you recommend buying SP just to get it, or is it not worth it?

  19. Hi! I’m deciding whether to just only buy the things I want or try to buy everything and unlock the house. Is it fairly easy to get the wedding venue template? I don’t have much sps sadly….

    • These events aren’t easy so I recommend you buy all the packs you want first and then if you have enough resources you can buy the others and hopefully manage to buy them all in the time limit!

  20. If I am unable to unlock all the prizes in time, will I still have a chance to buy the Wedding ceremony home template with LP’s, SP’s, or simoleons after the event is over or will it be gone forever?

    • No you won’t be able to, you will have a few days after the time limit is up to use the resources you have but you won’t be able to make anymore, if you don’t have all the resources you need you can use social points to buy the rest and if you buy them all you will still be able to earn the wedding ceremony during that time. If not you will need to wait for them to bring this event back again before you have the chance to win it again.

  21. I have a question regarding the end of live events. After unlocking all the prizes, there still are unused resources that are turned into simoleons at the end of the event. Is there any difference in value between the collectibles? Ex: Is a candle more valuable than a constructer coin- and vice versa? Thanks 🙂 I just don’t know whether or not to use up the rest of my candles on the spin plant for constructer coins

    • It’s hard to tell as it converts them quickly but it doesn’t appear to earn you more money for different items, you just get more simoleons the more items you have left to convert.

  22. If you complete the event and they give you the house will they not let you use it if you have not completed multi stories renovations quest?

  23. I managed to get everything in only 9 days. I always miss the beginnings of these events so I’ve never completed one before. I got everything without spending any money or using any SP. I just had to be vigilant of resetting the timers every 2.5 hours and putting them on 6.5 or the 8.5 hour option overnight.

  24. Hi! Your blog is very useful, thanks for updating it so often!

I wanted to know if I build the house on a lot that is not on the beach, will it still have the garden on the water like that in the photo of the preview?

  25. Oh my god I just completed te event! I never thought I would be able to do it, let alone complete it four days in advance… and I didn’t use ANY sps! It really looks like EA is making those events less impossible to complete! (:

  26. So I know I’ve read the answer to this question somewhere on your blog but now I can’t find it. Almost done with this event, I have one candle station that’s fully stocked, the rest only have 4 remaining. Do I sell them all and start from scratch for the next event? What about the other stations? All my pottery stations are fully stocked at this point, will they start fully stocked for the next event?

Also – I read on EA’s website that there’s a glitch if you place the wedding venue on the Mysterious Island, not sure if that’s fixed yet? Does the game allow you to have more than 10 sims at the wedding venue?

    • You probably read the answer here: https://thegirlwhogames.blog/2017/07/16/the-sims-freeplay-how-to-complete-live-events/
I think its best not to sell them as you will have to buy them again for the next event, also I wouldn’t recommend storing them either as you will lose all the stock and will have to restock them before you can start making the arts and crafts items in the next event.

It doesn’t look like that has been fixed yet, the only advice they give is to not build it on the mysterious island but if you have you should contact them, they haven’t said they have fixed it yet but hopefully they will! No, you can still only have 10 sims at the wedding venue.

      • I had no idea that storing the craft stations is what puts them down to zero for the next event! I always keep them, but put them into my inventory for next time. I am going to leave mine out this time–thanks for the tip!😊

      • You’re welcome! Definitely a good tip to know! 🙂

    • I just built the wedding template in Mysterious Island with no issues.

EA said ” If you purchased the template after July the 20th it should not be broken”

  27. Is it just me or does the fridge look like the athletic fridge that we got when we did the aerobics quest? I’ve got 2 days to harvest 300 cc, 20k pots, glass and jewelry I’m half way there, I hope I make without having to use real money or social points. This time I’ve only used the sp to instant restock, and my lps to get sp!

    • It definitely looks a lot like the fridge at the health hub, we didn’t unlock it during that quest though so its nice that it is available as part of this event 🙂

  28. Hi, your blog is very helpfull.. but I got something to ask.. did the marriage sims have to stay in the house with the wedding cake sign or not? Because I just moved them to the new house and created a new sim on the house with the wedding cake sign..

    Thanks😊

  29. So for most of the events you have to go on every 2.5 hours to get every prize?? I have a life and a job its impossible lol. I got the hang of doing 8 hr overnight but the 2.5 is just too frequent.

  30. Two more days and I’m still lacking 16k glasswares, 6k jewelry and 9k pottery. I don’t think I am able to finish this 😭😭😭

  31. Hello! I’m currently working towards completing this event and I think I’ll manage to unlock all the prizes! However, I’m hoping that instead of leaving the wedding venue as it is I can convert it into a living space for sims… my question is do you know if it is possible to remove the outside wedding seating area? If it were to stay there I don’t think it would do much good to covert the rest of the house because it would still look like a wedding venue :/

  32. Is those toddlers outfits in the pic useful to get

  33. Update, I’m going to make it. I’ve actually collected all the items but I’m going to let my sims finish their 8hr session. I actually made using only life points and social points!

  34. Thx for all the help I was able to get the wedding reception house I’m so happy

  35. SO EXCITED! I JUST COMPLETED THE EVENT. I’M REALLY SURPRISED THAT I COMPLETED IT ALL WITH! TIME TO SPARE… but then again i’m on holiday and not in school.

    • Well done! I managed to complete it earlier too 🙂

    • I work a full time job Monday – Friday, so have my Sims on the 8 1/2 hour option a lot (while I’m at work, and also while sleeping) and I was able to complete it, so I think this event was just much more possibly to complete than the others we’ve been getting.

  36. Okay so the event ends in a couple hours and I am lacking some items. If I do for example a 2 1/2 hour collecting, will I not be able to collect those items when time is up? Also, do I have to buy and claim before the event ends or can I do that in the the limited time after the event ends? Apologies for my english and many thanks, I love your blog! Very helpful 🙂

    • Once the time is up you cannot collect anymore arts and crafts items or constructor coins so no you won’t be able to collect them once the time is up unless you speed it up with social points before the event is over. You will have 2 days once the event is over to buy any packs you have left. Your English is good! 🙂 Thanks!

  37. I just wanted to thank you so much for all that you do and for being so thorough in your postings–your site is such a help!

I just finished the event, and I’m thrilled with the wedding house! With these events, I usually build the house for example yard and background stuff, then tear down the house and keep the furniture or sell it and build my own house, because no offense to EA, but I can build a much better house myself 😜. I’m thrilled with this one though–I really appreciate when EA listens to their players. They definitely stepped it up this time! I adore all the little touches like the swans in the pond behind the lot, the GORGEOUS dance floor, bathroom stalls (which I have wanted forever!) and the instruments for the wedding band being all white to go with the occasion. Usually the houses at the end of these events are just bunch of things that we already have access to, so I love that there are some exclusive items. It makes it much more worthwhile! One thing I was disappointed about was not getting the wood-tiled floor in the wedding decor pack like it was shown, but I guess it’s only in the house. Not a big deal though! I was also hoping they would offer wedding party outfits in the same colors for babies, teenagers and seniors–they seem to be left out!

Quick questions: do you happen to know if toddlers and preteens can be in the wedding as flower girls/ring bearers as the pic shows? I kind of doubt it, but that would be so cool! Also can the wedding party walk down the aisle and stand up with the couple like in a real wedding, or do they have to sit with everyone else?

    Thanks again! 💖💖

  38. The event is ending in 6:20 hours and I still am making glass for the first selection of wedding dresses. They will be done after the live event is over, would I still be able to collect the glass and buy the dresses???

    • Unfortunately not, you will need to use social points to speed up the action and collect them before the time is up otherwise you won’t be able to collect them.

  39. Anyone else super disappointed with the finished event? After spending lots of time and a little cash unlocking everything in this event I am sooo disappointed that the lot will only allow 10 people at a time. Why have four huge tables in the lot if there’s no way they can be sat on?! Any ideas why there are restrictions on amount of sims per lot to begin with? Some kind of sim health and safety rules? Also sims won’t actually eat at the dining table so that ruins that affect for me. Definitely won’t be going all out to unlock everything on an event again. Posting here as I couldn’t find any other feedback method that isn’t ‘technical support’.

    • The reason why we cannot have more than 10 sims in a house is because some devices just cannot cope with too many sims in a house at one time as it uses too much RAM, more than some devices have so it just causes the game to crash. The developers want the game to be accessible to as many people as possible which cannot happen if the game crashes constantly! A good way to give feedback is through social media so if you have facebook or twitter you can send them a message and they will pass on your feedback to the rest of the team

  40. Will this quest happen again? When I started the quest there were 7 days left to complete it and now I found out that there should have been 12 days. I might not be able to claim all the prizes. 😦

  41. Question, what is the glitch with the mysterious island wedding venue?

  42. So I won the wedding lot and I wanted to redesign as a home for my sim, and I wanted to change the exterior wall but the arches out front don’t change is there someway that I can.

  43. Thanks for the walk through! Your posts here are invaluable.
I have to say I’m super ticked off that the wedding venue is just like a normal house in that you can only have a certain number of sims there at a time. I wanted a full party!!

  44. Do you know if these live events ever comes back? I’m kinda sad since I was so close to winning the venue but I wasn’t able to get it 😥

  45. Can my sims still complete an action if it runs over the time limit?

  46. I recently redownloaded the game but I do not have an events tab?

  47. I love this event! I used the 2 hours 30 minutes option like you suggested over and over (and the longest one when I went to sleep) and got the wedding template with 2 days ahead of the limit. Thank you so much! Just a question: can you put things over the industrial counters? I tried to put a toaster and a microwave in the kitchen of my wedding venue but I couldn’t 😦 had to change a couple of counters for small tables. Thank you again!
