The Sims Freeplay- Dream Daycare Live Event

THIS EVENT IS NOW OVER

ONCE THE 11 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS TO PURCHASE ANY PACKS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore arts and crafts items or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!

The dream daycare event is back for 11 days to unlock toddler and infant content! If you completed this event last time it was available you will not get it again, if you started it last time but didn’t complete it you will start from where you got to last time, for example if you only had one prize pack left to buy you will only have to collect enough resources to buy that prize pack to complete the event.

If you didn’t start this event last time you will start from the beginning!

Live Events are very similar to a community event but this time you don’t need help from everyone who plays the sims freeplay to unlock the prizes, there are only personal prizes! If you haven’t already you need to update your game to the dowtown high update for this event to appear

Check out my Guide to Completing Live Events (including tips!) HERE!

This event is only here for 11 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event

NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

Can’t find your arts and crafts stations? Click on the craft station in your event tab to get the option to find your station, it will take you to the house where your stations can be found!

IF YOU UNLOCKED ALL THE STATIONS LAST TIME THE DREAM DAYCARE EVENT WAS AVAILABLE YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO UNLOCK THEM AGAIN THIS TIME, YOU CAN USE THEM STRAIGHT AWAY

Even if you did this event last time you will still get most of these goals:

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the playground event button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock moonlight siesta! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SPs or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the moonlight siesta pack (click on the playhouse event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you completed it in this event last time

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the playhouse event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus gems as well if you speed it up!

  • Restock 18 uses which happens instantly but will cost you 10SPs

or

  • Restock 9 uses which will take you 2 hours 30 minutes but will be free

 NOTE:

  • if you store the station you will lose all the stock so when you place it again you will need to restock
  • if you cancel making something using a station you will lose that stock so if you had one stock left and then you cancelled that action you would need to restock before you can create anymore arts and crafts items

Your Progress:

Click the playhouse button in the top corner of your game to see your progress

Daily Goals

Check on the first tab every day because if you complete all the daily goals you will get additional constructor coins

NOTE: remember to click CLAIM once you have completed a daily goal to collect the reward and remember to claim your free constructor coins and free items each day!

The prize progress is how far you have got on this event, the more arts and crafts items you make the more prizes you will unlock

NOTE: the bar at the top of the personal progress tab shows you how close you are to unlocking an item, the more arts and crafts items you collect the more the bar will fill up. Once you have unlocked an item on the bar at the top you will be able to use the arts and crafts items you have collected and constructor coins to purchase that pack which you will then be able to find in the home store.

The grand prize for claiming all the prizes in the event is the Toddler Playground House Template, you can only unlock the template if you buy all the prizes:

You can see more details about the template in this post

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

What is the minimum and maximum amount of coins you can earn on the mega spin plant? The minimum is 10 and the maximum is 500

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles,  300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.

Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future.

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.

  1. Hi! I just unlocked the “little bookworms” in the dream daycare live event but didn’t get a prize in the daily goals for “unlock or buy a prize” even though I have not claimed the prize for this goal yet. Do you have any idea why? Thanks for any help!

  2. When we use items to purchase one of the items we’ve unlocked, does or total items needed to open the next milestone change?

Sent from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note5.

  3. Hi. Love your blog. It’s very helpful. I didn’t complete this event the first time but am very close this time. However, I’m confused about the grand prize. Is what you get just a backyard toddler playground without a house? If so, is it to be added to an existing home or do we get the playground and have to then pay to construct a house in front of the playground? I’m very confused. Thanks in advance!

    • Thanks,I’m glad it helps!
The prize is just the playground so when you build it you then need to build a house on the plot in front of it, you cannot add it to an existing house.

  4. Is using the mega spin plant for 25SP worth it? Also, what’s the highest and lowest number of constructor coins you can win with the mega spin plant?

  5. There is a glitch in my game in that every time I use a garden patch, blue or regular, the game freezes and I can’t collect and continue, or respin. I have to shut down the window the game is playing in and start the game again. Have you heard of this before or know of a fix?

  6. Hi. Do I have to purchase unlocked prizes in order? Or can I continue to collect resources for certain items that I want to purchase first?

  7. What was the length of time between the first event and this one….and do you think it will come around again? I’ve got the max # of stations and have had them all going pretty much around the clock but Ive only once gotten more than 2 constructor coins when I use the spin plant. I bought Laura Craft and used a slew of SP to get to where I am now but frankly I’m tired and getting a little jaded. I’m only 58 coins into the creative coloring table set so that’s something like 800 more constructor coins to reach the end with only 3 days left to go. I caved and used LPS when it came to the makeup artist event but I don’t think I want to spend any more money while the game seems so unsatisfying lately.

  8. Hello I was wondering what different amounts of constructor coins you can win by using the mega spin plant, before I use my sp to use it.

  9. Hi! If I use SP’s to unlock a prize, will it also take away resources? For example, I have enough resources to unlock the Cozy Reader, except I’m short 1 Constructor Coin. To unlock it without the coin, I’d only need to use 1 SP.

If I opt for the SP (versus earning that 1 extra coin) will it also take the resources that I do have allotted for the prize? Or leave them- using the SP to fulfill/replace all the resources needs.

  10. Do you know when you’re no longer able to collect resources? Like say the event ends at midnight, could I have all of my sims start making resources at 11:50pm so they would continue making them after the event officially ends and I could collect later on? Or do they all cancel their actions automatically when the time’s up?

Thank you for all the work you put into this blog! It’s really helpful 🙂

    • As soon as the time limit is up they will stop making resources so you won’t be able to collect anything that finishes after the time is up.

You’re welcome, I’m glad it helps!

  11. Is this event likely to return again? I am on my second attempt and still 3 items away from getting everything so just curious before I start using up my SP’s etc (which still won’t get me everything) – Many thanks – great blog yet again x

  12. I just completed the event and purchased all the prizes but I don’t see where I can get the playground?

  13. How long do you think it will be before this event comes back around? I bought Laura and have every station maxed since it started but I probably won’t complete the requirements for the last unlocked item before the playground launch. Just six hours left now and there’s just no way. Kinda disappointed…

  14. How long was it since the last time this event was held? Just curious since I didn’t make it.

  15. Hiii, this is my first time doing this day care thing I noticed you said it came out before do u think it will come out again inche futre or would I just have to unlock the downtown highschool?

    • You don’t have to have the downtown high to complete this event, hopefully it will return again one day for those who didn’t manage to complete it but I don’t know for sure.

  16. I wasn’t able to get all the items in time but it says I have a day to buy the rest of them. If I do will I be able to unlock the playground lot as well?

    • Once the time limit is up you cannot collect anymore resources or coins but you can still purchase the last packs you need, if you don’t have all the resources you can use social points to buy the last items you need. If you manage to purchase them all in the remaining time then you will be able to unlock the playground yes.

      • This game is so disappointing. I played round the clock and had half the prizes won from last time and still couldn’t unlock all the prizes because I was missing constructor coins. I refuse to spend real money on a game so two prizes short of unlocking the template. Why do they make it near impossible to win constructor coins? Even following your advise and using all the candles on the spin plant wasn’t enough.

      • I completely agree with you, I wrote a post about them being impossible in February: https://thegirlwhogames.blog/2017/02/12/the-sims-freeplay-impossible-events-arent-fun/ and to give them credit they have made them slightly easier recently but I think maybe because this was a repeat of a harder one they didn’t change the difficulty of it to bring it back, hopefully you will find newer ones they release in the future easier!

  17. When will this event be back again I was so close to finishing?

  18. Hi, I wasn’t sure where to post this but I had a random question. A lot of new houses have a brick wallpaper inside and some have red brick outsides that are new. I was just wondering what you need to do to get those because I don’t have them. Thanks!

  19. can i still buy those stuff even if the event ended?
