The Sims Freeplay- Holiday High-Rise Update

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys (Presented by EA GameChangers) may differ from actual version

Time to enjoy a well deserved holiday/vacation with the latest Sims Freeplay update (available from the 4th June) keep reading to find out everything that is happening in this update!

Complete the Holiday High-Rise Live Event (no longer available) starting on the 4th June for 10 days to unlock stunning hotel themed items and the holiday condo. Once the event is complete you can get to the holiday condo from the sea voyage boat so your sims cannot live here but they can visit this location and it can be edited

SimChase Season 2: Last Resorts starts on the 16th June for 7 days

SimChase Season 3: Summer Daze starts on the 4th July for 7 days

I will not be creating a new post about SimChase for each season, the only thing that is different is the prizes shown here, click here for more information if you are new to SimChase

I am really not happy that we have two SimChase events in one update! Apparently they have improved SimChase by shorting the time it takes to complete the challenges and slowing the rival sims progress down, I still won’t be completing a SimChase event but let me know if you notice these changes and whether they improve it or not

Returning Events?

The Dream Daycare Live Event (available now) will return on the 27th June for 11 days, complete in the time limit to unlock gorgeous items for infants and toddlers and the daycare template

Returning Quests?

The Missing Claus Quest (available now) was the 2018 Christmas Quest, if you didn’t complete it then from the 17th June you will have your chance to complete this 13 day quest in the time limit to unlock the Rustic Farmhouse

GLITCH: can’t find the branches to collect truffles on the sixth set? Most players are having this issue please contact the makers for support

The Styles of Time Quest ( available now) will be back from the 2nd July, complete this seasonal quest to unlock hairstyles and hats for your adult sims

What else?

June is Pride Month, for a week from the 18th June you will be able to claim a free shirt from the specials tab of the online store for teen and adult sims to celebrate:

There are new time limited prizes when you complete the 9 day pregnancy event in the time limit and earn the baby bonus between the 24th and 28th June:

If you start the 9 day pregnancy event anytime during the time frame you have the chance of earning the maternity items in that pack if you complete the event in the time limit, for example if you start a pregnancy event on the 28th June and complete in the time limit you will earn the items above

You need to have completed the first pregnancy event in the A Bump-y Ride Quest before you can earn the maternity prizes

Blog News: I have now added a Time Limited Quests page so you can see all the quests that have previously been available for a limited time and whether or not they have returned (there is also a Time Limited Events page too if you didn’t already know, this contains links to all Time Limited Hobby Events, Community Events and Live Events)

I will be on holiday between the 13th- 22nd June so I won’t be online at all during this time

  1. I’m ecstatic that the Dream Daycare event is returning. This is the fourth round, but I still have a few more prizes left to earn due to not quite understanding how it worked the first time, and then not having enough time to collect everything for the second and third time. But I WILL finish it when it returns this month, no matter what, and it will be the first live event I totally completed.

I’m excited about the Holiday High-Rise event, too, even though I know I won’t get all of the prizes in one round, ha.

  2. Hello, I recently completed the Snow Problem quest and had got the Snow Chalet, but there’s a problem that I had encountered which is the furniture.
I wanted to change the sofa to another colour so I kept the original one into my inventory and I selected the same sofa with a different colour and wanted to place at the same place where the original one at but it kept flashing red that I am unable to place the sofa even though there’s space to put it at. I had also tried remove those windows, painting, fireplace and doors still unable to place the sofa.

So hopefully that you able to help me, thank you !!
    I am playing Sims freeplay.

  3. I am not sure about the SimChase part. But i would love to have the haristyles that the prizes…

  4. At EA play they said something about cosmetics and clothes for LGBTQ+ for TSFP, TS4, and TSM. Are the cosmetics coming to The Sims Freeplay?

  5. I skipped out entirely on the first SimChase event, I counted the hours and it was simply not reasonable for me, even being able to check in on my tablet any time. This time around it is much easier, indeed, the rival is slower and we are faster, so I’m hopeful I’ll complete it (but I’m at home on “vacation” right now, so I understand it will be harder for those who are working). I’ve won 1st and 2nd episodes no problem, just remembering to check in when the clock was up, the rival waits for us to begin our day, and even if I missed a few precious hours in the morning of the 2nd day because of an exam there was still plenty of time to complete it (although I skipped the collection mission, I could repeat it, I had time, but I hate random drops almost on the same level that I hate soup, so for me it was worth it).
The thing that irks me the most is the cost of the mastery lessons; these two days had me spending too many §§§ on those (but SP cost seems to be lower than last time), which is just.. thanks a lot, it took me months to built up my treasury, and another SimChase in a month?? Luckily I’m home, I’ll be grinding out LPs for the SP flower, to alternate the spent currency, and to skip any further collection missions. Multi-Sim missions are fine, but random-drop dependant collection missions are awful.
I’m working through the 3rd day; things are harder, but still not unattainable, but there’s a mission I have no idea how to complete. “Map Misteries: Find the clue on the SimTown Park map.” There’s no map?? In the park??? I can only see the Commodore, there? I’ll complete the remaining missions, and if I really can’t figure it out I guess I’ll skip it. Bye-bye, SPs. They did make it easier, doesn’t mean they made it fairer. No one can really be blamed for skipping this SimChase, too.
Hope you’re enjoying your vacation, WM! We’re all eagerly awaiting your return!

EDIT: I figured it out: the map is posted on the side of the park’s toilet, we have to click on the toilet. I never noticed it had a map, LMAO, guess I assumed it was just random flyers. The things you never notice until you need them XD

  6. Is there a place where one could find fellow Sims Freeplayers to become “neighbors?” No one I know plays this game, but I would really like to be able to collect social points for events such as these with those neighbor quests…thanks!

  7. I stand corrected from my previous assumption on a previous comment here; day 4 of this SimChase, and the mastery mission is either one million simoleons or 45 SPs. Also the cumulative hours for the total of the missions keeps increasing, I already did more than half so I don’t have the full numbers for the math, but it was over 16 hours. Grinding LPs for the stupid SP flower that keeps spatting 3 SPs for 20 LPs! I’m still going to try and complete this event because I already got attached to the final prize, but this is definitely the first and last time. Do these people know how long it takes to accumulate one million simoleons for a FreePlay free player like this one? More than the time available between SimChases, that’s for sure. Will report back on whether I get the final prize or not. Grand lesson, kids, is don’t even try to complete this stupid event, there’s better uses for your time and resources, I’m just a person who makes bad life choices, don’t be like me.

  8. Hi! My app has already updated to the most recent one, but the Pride shirt isn’t showing up anywhere. Is anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve it?

  9. You wanted someone to report back whether the changes they made to the SimChase made it better. Considering I’m a completely free player, and all my resources are the exclusive result of grinding over time, I’ll let the numbers speak for themselves:
I got the final prize in the SimChase. Final balance: down from nearly 6 million simoleons to 2,5 milion, grinded about 500 LPs, spent them all plus the 100 something I already had on the SP flower, now I only have 3 LPs, won and spent between 200-300 SPs to do the missions so I could actually sleep, left with only 1 SP. Last day the missions were a total of 21 (twenty-one!) hours and I have the screenshot to prove it, with another 3h collection mission that, if not sped up or skipped would have to be repeated twice (aka 21+6=27 hours total, apparently that’s how long EA thinks a day lasts which would explain a lot) and the mastery mission cost, again, over one million simoleons (also, what’s the point of making the SP choices so close in prize but so different in time? 14 SPs to cut 30 min, or 15 SPs to cut 2 hours? Gezz, I wonder what maximizes my money’s worth).
Was the prize worth 3M simoleons + 500 LPs + 200 SPs + the grinding to get those + throwing to the wind the months! of putting my Sims to work to accumulate 6M simoleons so I could do the main missions in time to get the limited time prizes, because yeah, I haven’t completed those yet!? Worth it? Not worth it.
They did make the challenges easier… in the first two days. By the third day people are already invested, and by then it’s human nature to want to get the thing you worked for, and they hit you with the true cost of the missions. Money leeching at its worst. Disregard for the players at its finest. Don’t do SimChases unless you’re already a pay-to-play player, and are willing to cash out
WM, please, use my story as a cautionary tale. Best of love to your work in this website.

  10. Hi, I have problem with the returning quest “missing santa”. On day 6, at the task “collecting truffles” I can’t find the tree branches to collect the truffles. I’m stuck there. could you please help 😦

    • The makers have finally released a fix for this so you should be able to complete it now, you also should have received 125LP so you can speed up the tasks and catch up

  11. If we start the pregnancy event before the 24, does that mean we can’t access the new items if our event carries on through the 24-28?
