When the sims freeplay release a new version of the game you need to update it on your device to enjoy the new content, this post explains how to update your game manually and automatically on an apple, android and kindle device.
MANUALLY UPDATING- you need to do this every time they release a new update
Apple Devices
On an apple device you need to go to the app store (the red circle number notification is how many updates you have available)
1st Method- Updates Tab
One way to update is by opening the app store, clicking on the updates tab (1), finding the sims freeplay in the list and clicking update (2)
2nd Method- Searching
You can also update by searching for the game, to do this open the app store again, click the search button (1), type in sims freeplay in the search bar (3) and the game will appear with the option to update (4)


Android Devices
On an android device you need to go to the play store:
1st Method- Updates Tab
One way to update is by opening the play store, clicking on the lines symbol next to where it says google play (1) and a slide out menu will appear, you can then click on my apps and games (2), find the sims freeplay and click update (3)
2nd Method- Searching
You can also update by searching for the game, to do this open the play store and click on the search bar that says google play (1), type in the sims freeplay (2) and the game will appear (3), click on it to get the option to update (4)

Open the appstore (1) and click on the search symbol on the top right hand corner (2), type in the sims freeplay and click search (3) and the game will appear click on it (4), to get the option to update (5) once updated click open (6) and it will update your new content before you can continue playing (7)
AUTOMATIC UPDATE- should update automatically when a new version is released (once set up as shown below)
NOTE: sometimes the game doesn’t automatically update, if this happens to you you will need to follow the steps above to manually update
Apple Device
To set up your apple device for automatic updates you need to select settings from the home screen (1) and scroll down
to itunes and app store (2) click on this and find the section titled automatic downloads, make sure the updates tab is turned on as shown in the picture (3)
Android Device
On an android you need to go to the play store (1) and click on the lines symbol next to where it says google play (2) and a slide out menu will appear, you can then click on settings (3) and the first setting is auto update apps, (4) click on this and a pop up
will appear, change this from do not auto update to auto updates apps at any time (5)
Kindle Device
On a kindle you need to go to the appstore (1) click on the lines symbol next to where it says appstore (2) and a slide out menu will appear, you can then click on settings (3) and the second setting is automatic updates, (4) click on this and click the tick where it says enable automatic updates (5)
