The Sims Freeplay- Holiday High-Rise Live Event

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys (Presented by EA GameChangers) may differ from actual version

THIS LIVE EVENT STARTS ON 4th JUNE

Complete this brand new live event (starts 4th June) to unlock stunning new items to create the most amazing hotel suites and if you complete the whole event in the time limit you unlock the holiday condo! This event is only here for 9 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event

Check out my Guide to Completing Live Events (including tips!) HERE!

NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

Can’t find your arts and crafts stations? Click on the craft station in your event tab to get the option to find your station, it will take you to the house where your stations can be found!

Want to skip the tasks list? Click here to head straight to the prizes!

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the hotel button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the Path of Discovery pack! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SP or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the Path of Discovery pack (click on the hotel event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the drinks event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus arts and craft items as well if you speed it up!

You also unlock the Silver Seafood Platter (S130,000) which can be found in the decorations section (I don’t think you get the first one free)

I love the idea of this, it is great we can edit the condo and it doesn’t take up a house lot but I am disappointed because most of the items in the condo are 1 star. In this event we unlock 1 star and 3 star of most items so why couldn’t we have had the more expensive 3 star items in the condo?

Watch my tour of the holiday condo here:

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Constructor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LP, I can then turn the LP into SP using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LP- the social point plant now costs 20LP so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

What is the minimum and maximum amount of coins you can earn on the mega spin plant? The minimum is 10 and the maximum is 500

Now on the coin flower patch you can see the chances of getting the different combinations on each spin plant, click on the green i button to see:

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles,  300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.

Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future. I personally don’t ever buy her, if I don’t manage to earn enough items or coins in the time limit I just wait until the next time the event is available!

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.

Check out my Guide to Completing Live Events (including tips!) HERE!

If I don’t complete this event this time will I have to start from the beginning when it returns? No, you will start from where you got to this time!

Time to enjoy a well deserved holiday/vacation with the latest Sims Freeplay update (available from the 4th June) keep reading to find out everything that is happening in this update!

NEW LIVE EVENT

Complete the Holiday High-Rise Live Event (no longer available) starting on the 4th June for 10 days to unlock stunning hotel themed items and the holiday condo. Once the event is complete you can get to the holiday condo from the sea voyage boat so your sims cannot live here but they can visit this location and it can be edited

NEW SIMCHASE (sigh)

SimChase Season 2: Last Resorts starts on the 16th June for 7 days

SimChase Season 3: Summer Daze starts on the 4th July for 7 days

I will not be creating a new post about SimChase for each season, the only thing that is different is the prizes shown here, click here for more information if you are new to SimChase

I am really not happy that we have two SimChase events in one update! Apparently they have improved SimChase by shorting the time it takes to complete the challenges and slowing the rival sims progress down, I still won’t be completing a SimChase event but let me know if you notice these changes and whether they improve it or not

Returning Events?

The Dream Daycare Live Event (not available yet) will return on the 27th June for 11 days, complete in the time limit to unlock gorgeous items for infants and toddlers and the daycare template (the link is to the post from last time this event was available, I will create a new post when it returns)

Returning Quests?

The Missing Claus Quest (available now) was the 2018 Christmas Quest, if you didn’t complete it then from the 17th June you will have your chance to complete this 13 day quest in the time limit to unlock the Rustic Farmhouse

GLITCH: can’t find the branches to collect truffles on the sixth set? Most players are having this issue please contact the makers for support

The Styles of Time Quest (not available yet) will be back from the 2nd July, complete this seasonal quest to unlock hairstyles and hats for your adult sims (the link is to the post from last time this event was available, I will create a new post when it returns)

image

What else?

June is Pride Month, for a week from the 18th June you will be able to claim a free shirt from the specials tab of the online store for teen and adult sims to celebrate:

There are new time limited prizes when you complete the 9 day pregnancy event in the time limit and earn the baby bonus between the 24th and 28th June:

If you start the 9 day pregnancy event anytime during the time frame you have the chance of earning the maternity items in that pack if you complete the event in the time limit, for example if you start a pregnancy event on the 28th June and complete in the time limit you will earn the items above

You need to have completed the first pregnancy event in the A Bump-y Ride Quest before you can earn the maternity prizes

Blog News: I have now added a Time Limited Quests page so you can see all the quests that have previously been available for a limited time and whether or not they have returned (there is also a Time Limited Events page too if you didn’t already know, this contains links to all Time Limited Hobby Events, Community Events and Live Events)

I will be on holiday between the 13th- 22nd June so I won’t be online at all during this time

26.Poolside Bungalow- you can only claim this pack if you have purchased all the other packs in this live event

This house can be built on a standard or premium residence, you will find this under the driveway homes tab when selecting which house to build. The first one is free then they cost simoleons depending on how many houses you have already built. You can add up to 4 cars to this house lot!

The other three car parking spaces need to be unlocked by purchasing with simoleons:

  • Additional Space One: S250,000
  • Additional Space Two: S750,000
  • Additional Space Three: S1,500,000

Once you purchase an additional space you will be able to add another car but you need to have more than one adult/senior sim living in this house to add more than one car otherwise it will just switch their car to the new one you have just brought. For example if you wanted 3 cars in this house you need 3 adult or senior sims living in this house.

The only difference between this house on a standard and a premium residence is the garden, there is outdoor furniture behind the bungalow. You will find the in-ground spa available on both the standard and premium residence which can be moved:

Completing this event also unlocks the in-ground spas in the store (check out my post on how to add and use the spas here) as well as Grey Concrete pool and patio paving, Tall Oak Slats (window), Oak Slats Double (door), Black Cube Partition, Black Fan and Gold Rubix Mirror Double (decorations) Oak Sunside Table (dining room) Black Danging Lamp (lighting) and Oak Floorboards (flooring)

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Constructor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

You will only unlock the wedding ceremony and reception if you manage to buy all the other personal progress prizes in the time limit, the first one built is free after that they will cost simoleons. I absolutely love this house, the ceremony space in the garden is elegant, the first dancefloor in the dining room looks beautiful at night and then your sims can party the night away on the second floor!

You can build it on a standard or premium house lot, the only difference is there is a larger gap between the seating for the ceremony and the house. It isn’t often I say this but I do actually prefer the standard one:

You also unlock the industrial grill, fridge (kitchen section) and countertops (countertops section) as well as the wedding instruments and two bars (decorations section)

Watch my wedding ceremony and reception tour here:

How do you get your sims married here?
1. Your sims can already be married and still use the ceremony to get remarried or your two sims need to be engaged with the option to get married in the interactions between those two sims
2. Have your guests seated- select watch ceremony on the chairs
3. You will need someone to officiate the wedding, have this sim click on the wedding arbour and select the option to officiate wedding
4. Get the first sim into position, have this sim select wait for partner on the wedding arbour
5. Time to get married! Have the second sim select get married on the wedding arbour
6. A pop up will appear asking what how you want your sims to live in when they are married (this is the sims last name they will take)
7.They will walk down the aisle, stare into each others eyes for a few minutes, kiss and will be married!
8. If your sims weren’t already married a pop up will appear to say they are now married- you can remarry them again and again here (as long as its to the same sim!)
