The Sims Freeplay-Produce Market Live Event

Complete this live event rerun to unlock grocery themed items and if you complete the whole event in the time limit you unlock the grocery store template. This event is only here for 10 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event.

Check out my Guide to Completing Live Events (including tips!) HERE!

NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

Can’t find your arts and crafts stations? Click on the craft station in your event tab to get the option to find your station, it will take you to the house where your stations can be found!

Want to skip the tasks list? Click here to head straight to the prizes!

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the Store Flooring pack! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SP or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the Store Flooring pack (click on the event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SP, you will get the bonus arts and craft items as well if you speed it up!

This template can be found under the driveway homes tab and built on a standard or premium residence, the first one is free then they cost simoleons depending on how many houses you have already built. You can add up to 4 cars to this house lot!

Even though this is a grocery store you can still edit it and add sims to live in this house like you would a normal house

The other three car parking spaces need to be unlocked by purchasing with simoleons:

  • Additional Space One: S250,000
  • Additional Space Two: S750,000
  • Additional Space Three: S1,500,000

Once you purchase an additional space you will be able to add another car but you need to have more than one adult/senior sim living in this house to add more than one car otherwise it will just switch their car to the new one you have just brought. For example if you wanted 3 cars in this house you need 3 adult or senior sims living in this house.

I really love this grocery store, they have made it look like it was a house that has been converted into a store, there is even a staff room and store room. It is just a shame again that it is using up another house lot!

The difference between this template on a standard and a premium residence is the store itself is bigger on the premium residence (the toilets, staff room and store room are the same on both sized lots)

You also unlock:

Windows Section: Oak (S115,000) and Green (11LP) Market Windows

Doors Section: Silver (S105,000) and Black (10LP) Shop Doors and Silver (S115,000) and Black (11LP) Double Shop Doors

Decorations Section: Green (S115,000) and Silver (11LP) Hanging Scales

Outdoor Decorations Section: Oak (S165,000) and White (16LP) Market Stalls

Walls Section: Blue (S700) and Green (S700) Market Mural Tops and Blue (S1,100) and Green (S1,100) Market Mural Bottoms

Watch my tour of this store here:

I have created my own Grocery Store using the Snow Chalet template from the Snow Problem Quest, watch a tour of that store here

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Constructor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LP, I can then turn the LP into SP using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LP- the social point plant now costs 20LP so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

What is the minimum and maximum amount of coins you can earn on the mega spin plant? The minimum is 10 and the maximum is 500

Now on the coin flower patch you can see the chances of getting the different combinations on each spin plant, click on the green i button to see:

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles,  300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.

Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future. I personally don’t ever buy her, if I don’t manage to earn enough items or coins in the time limit I just wait until the next time the event is available!

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.

Check out my Guide to Completing Live Events (including tips!) HERE!

Once the event is over it will convert your unused resources into simoleons, the conversion rate is half the amount of resources, for example, if you have 10,000 candles left over you will earn 5,000 simoleons, if you only have 1 of a resource left over you will only earn 1 simoleon. When a new live event becomes available you start from 0 resources

If I don’t complete this event this time will I have to start from the beginning when it returns? No, you will start from where you got to this time!

The Sims Mobile-Sim Festival Event

Presented by EA GameChangers

In the April 2021 Sims Mobile update a new event has been added, in this post I will explain how to complete a Sim Festival Event.

Now Emily and llamazoom are no longer part of the game (read my update post here for more information) they have been replaced by daily tasks and Sim Festival.

Sim festival events aren’t always available, when they aren’t you can still complete daily tasks to earn rewards but when a sim festival event is available it will last for 50 days and you can earn Prize Tickets by completing daily tasks and season tasks.

Season tasks are only available during a sim festival event and these offer a larger prize ticket reward than daily tasks, they also last for the whole season with more added every few days.

The more prize tickets you earn the higher prize tier you will reach, there are 60 tiers in total for each season and different tiers unlock different prizes, each season different prizes will be available. Click on the gift tab on the left of the sim festival screen to see the prizes available.

There are two prize tracks for each festival season, the ‘Free Pass’ and the ‘Festival Pass’ the free pass doesn’t contain much, if you want the best prizes you have to purchase the festival pass with real money (they aren’t trying to be subtle about their money grabs anymore!):

It’s important to note that even though you have brought the Festival Pass you will still need to complete daily and season tasks to unlock the items on the progress bar, you don’t automatically unlock them by buying the pass.

  • The festival pass can be purchased at any point during the event so if you have already completed a few tiers you will immediately access all those prizes when you purchase the pass.
  • The festival pass will last for one event only so if you wanted to earn festival pass prizes for the next event you will need to buy another pass.

If you unlock the NPC during the event you can build up a relationship with them and make them playable, you also unlock their clothes so you can use them on your other sims.

The house template once unlocked can be placed from the Designer Homes Catalog in buy mode, the first one is free but if you wanted to place it again it will cost:

Sim Festival

Sim Festival is a new event that works with your daily tasks. Sim Festival Events aren’t always available so when they aren’t you can still complete your daily tasks but while sim festival events are taking place you can earn prize tickets by completing daily tasks and season tasks (season tasks are available during a sim festival event)

Prize tickets unlock rewards such as house templates (keep reading for more information) wallpaper, flooring and non playable characters.

I will warn you now that this new event is a huge money grab, you will have to buy the Festive Pass if you want to earn the higher end items, click here to read my Sim Festival post for more information on how to complete this new event

Demolishing a House

Want to quickly delete your sims houses? This is the feature for you!

Click on the bulldozer symbol in buy mode, it will ask you if you want to clear the lot, select clear all and your house will be removed and all the items will be stored in your storage:

Watch my Demolishing a House video here:

House Templates

If you don’t like building your own houses you can now place 2 premade house templates instead. These can be found in buy mode in the Designer Homes Catalog (click on the house on the scroll symbol):

You can preview each house before you decided which one to place. Watch my House Template Tours video here:

If you have a house on a lot already but you want to replace it with a house template you can, the bulldozer will remove the house already there and all the items from that house will be placed in your storage, the new house template will be added in its place.

If you love the new house template so much you want to place it on more than one lot then it will cost to place it again, also if you have any land expansions in the way of the new house template it will overlap these removing them so you can quickly build without clearing expansions. If a house is too large for a lot it won’t let you place it.
