The Sims Freeplay- Chocolatier Halloween Event

THIS QUEST IS OVER

This time limited hobby event unlocks Halloween costumes that you could have unlocked last year and the year before in the Halloween Quest, if you completed that quest then you won’t get this event as you already have all the prizes! If not then you need to complete the chocolatier hobby 7 times in 7 days to unlock all the costumes.

If you managed to unlock some of the costumes in the quest you won’t need to find those ones again this time, although they have changed the sets so if you unlocked some of the costumes during the quest but not all it will probably look like you have to unlock all of them in this event due to the pairing up, for example, if you unlocked the toddler astronaut costume in the quest but didn’t unlock the preteen pirate skeleton costume you will still need to complete the collection to unlock the pirate skeleton costume.

You need to firstly accept this event, click yes on the pop up then you can buy a chocolatier bench from the promotions r us store if you have never done this hobby before, you can buy up to 15:

They can then be found in your inventory under hobby and career items so you can place them in your house.

For more information on the Chocolatier Hobby check out this post

12 CHOCOLATES= 1 COSTUME PACK

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-buy as many chocolatier benches as you can, 15 is the maximum!

-have a sim in a neighbours town so you can have an extra sim working on it

-have at least one sim working on getting to level 6 so all chocolates are unlocked (you only need one sim to reach level 6) you can use LPs to speed your way through the levels- I waited until the time was 1 hour 59 minutes and used 1 LP to speed up one sim so he reached level 6, levelling up in this hobby is quick so it shouldn’t take you too long!

-if you want to speed it up, wait at least 15 minutes until the timer is 2 hours 59 minutes or below then it will only cost you 2LPs instead of 3! This post may help if you want a quick way to earn LPs.

-remember to click start new collection on the top of the hobby collection list once you have got all the chocolates otherwise you won’t find any new items, this post tells you how to do that.

-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.

Prizes:

The outfits can be found in the wardrobe in the outfits section, if you cannot find one of the outfits you may be looking in the wardrobe with the wrong sim as each outfit is only available for one age group and most only for one gender, for example the Scarecrow Pumpkin can only be found in the wardrobe for a male teen.

First set: Scarecrow Pumpkin for Male Teens and Fawn for Female Adults

Second set: Frankenstein’s Monster for Male Adults and Fairy for Female Teens

Third set: Dracula for Male Adults and Zombie Cheerleader for Female Teens

Fourth set: Viking for Male Teens and Witch for Female Adults

Fifth set: Candy Monsters for Toddlers and Ghost for Female Preteens

Sixth set: Astronauts for Toddlers and Pirate Skeleton for Male Preteens

Seventh set: Lion for Male Preteens and Unicorn for Female Preteens

Thanks for reading!

NEW GAME: Home Street- The Basics

A new game was released this week called Home Street, I am going to explain the basics of the game and what I think of it so far.
When you first begin the game you customise your character and then they move into a house that you can also customise as you progress through the game:

The aim of the game is to produce materials on workstations to complete jobs and tasks. You start with the easel workstation to produce paintings and new workstations can be brought from the shopping cart when you level up and unlock them:

Once a material has been produced a pop up of that item will appear, click on it to collect it:

Materials will go into the storeroom which has a capacity of 40 items to start with:

To produce materials you need to use thoughts, you produce these in the thought bubble icon by clicking on the thoughts at the top of the screen, underneath them it tells you how long it takes to produce them. I think they could change this to make it easier to see when an item has been produced:

You do only have space for 40 thoughts which fills up quickly, I hope this won’t be another one of those games where the items you need to upgrade are hard to find!

How do you know what thoughts and materials you need?

Underneath the picture of the item you are making there is a picture or several pictures of the items you need to make that item, for example, cupcakes require 1 fun thought and carrot cake requires 1 fun thought and 1 vegetables. Vegetables aren’t a thought, they are an item you make using the garden bed:

Once you have created materials you can complete jobs (phone symbol) if you have the materials you need click complete to earn your reward, some jobs require thoughts instead of materials:

Producing materials and completing jobs helps you to complete tasks, completing these unlocks places around the town:

Where are these icons located?

  • Tasks (top left corner)
  • Shopping Cart-buy items and decorate your house (bottom left corner)
  • Friends- connect to facebook to add friends and save your progress (next to Shopping Cart)
  • Jobs (bottom right corner)
  • Thoughts (next to Jobs icon)
  • Walls icon- changes the walls in the house to half wall, full wall and no wall (top right corner)

So far I like this game, it does remind me of SimCity Build It with the material producing and also the new The Sims Mobile game although I think the controls and graphics are more basic than those games. This game does crash a lot on my poor old iPod so I haven’t been able to play it for long however that’s due to the age of my device and not the game itself but I will definitely be playing it more once I get a new iPad and I will actually be able to play The Sims Mobile when it is released (which disappointingly isn’t compatible with older devices, just so you know!) as well as many other new exciting games!

Have you tried Home Street yet? What do you think?

Unsure where to find the storage or how to upgrade your storage? Check out this post!

The Sims Freeplay- Halloween Quest 2017: Ghost Flustered

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/Firemonkeys

THIS QUEST IS NOW OVER

There is a brand new Halloween Quest this year! To begin this quest you will need to update your game to the Halloween update. The time limit for this quest is 9 days, if you manage to complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock Halloween Sleepwear for all your sims to wear!

There are 5 sets of goals to complete, each set of goals you complete earns you a prize, the first four unlock a body paint for all your sims and the last set unlocks body paint and the sleepwear. I am not sure yet if you have to wait between completing each set like last year, previously after completing a set you would have to wait for a certain amount of time before being able to continue with the quest unless you are behind.

Check out my step by step video of this quest here

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

First set: Complete the first set of goals to unlock the red body paint for all your sims

  • Answer the phone- 48 seconds

  • Calm sim on a phone- 40 minutes

  • Search a home lot- 1 hour 40 minutes (click on candy pile at front of house)

  • Go to the park
  • Discuss paranormal activity (select option on Wizard)- 4 hours 10 minutes

  • Discuss paranormal scene findings (you’ll find the Wizard at one of your houses)- 1 hour 40 minutes

  • Travel to the Wizards cottage (click on the wizard)

  • View ghosts in crystal ball- 2 hours 30 minutes

  • Discuss stopping ghosts with Wizard Wickham (go home first)- 5 hours 50 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE RED BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Second set: Complete the second set of goals to unlock the yellow body paint for all your sims

  • Apply red body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the red paint to apply it to that sim)

  • Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the red body paint)- 4 hours 10 minutes (TIP: this only takes 5 minutes if one of the sims in a pair is a preteen so you can just use the preteen to complete this 5 times!)

Still confused? There are three options to this task:

  1. Have a sim with red body paint select the interaction to trick or treat with another sim, do this 5 times with those 2 sims, this is the longest option and I wouldn’t recommend it
  2. Have 5 pairs of sims (10 sims), have 5 of them wearing the body paint and then select the interaction to trick or treat with another sim without red body paint on, do this with all 10 sims so you are doing this 5 times all at once to complete it quicker
  3. If you have a preteen then use them! With a preteen all the trick or treat tasks only take 5 minutes so give the preteen red body paint and then they can select the interaction to trick or treat with another sim and do this 5 times, so much quicker than the other two options! If you don’t have a preteen use the second option

  • Talk to Ghoulio the Ghost- 10 hours 50 minutes

  • Plant corn- 20 minutes (using a garden patch, can be started early)
  • Give corn to Ghoulio- 4 hours 10 minutes

  • Grow watermelon- 1 hour (using a garden patch, can be started early)
  • Give watermelon to Ghoulio- 9 hours 10 minutes

  • Ask Ghoulio for help- 4 hours 10 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE YELLOW BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Third set: Complete the third set of goals to unlock the blue body paint for all your sims

  • Apply yellow body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the yellow paint to apply it to that sim)

  • Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the yellow body paint)- 6 hours 40 minutes (TIP: this only takes 5 minutes if one of the sims in a pair is a preteen so you can just use the preteen to complete this 5 times!)

  • Give Hack scaring advice- 12 hours 30 minutes

  • Go to the park
  • Talk scares- 50 minutes (click on Hack)

  • Approach statue- 50 minutes each (you need to complete this 3 times but 3 sims cannot complete this at the same time, you can have one sim complete it 3 times)

  • Ask Hack for help- 2 hours 30 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE BLUE BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Fourth set: Complete the fourth set of goals to unlock the green body paint for all your sims

  • Select blue body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the blue paint to apply it to that sim)

  • Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the blue body paint)- 4 hours 10 minutes (TIP: this only takes 5 minutes if one of the sims in a pair is a preteen so you can just use the preteen to complete this 5 times!)

  • Talk hopes and dreams- 7 hours 30 minutes (click on Warts)

  • Apply body paint to Warts- 5 hours 50 minutes (click on Warts again)

  • Ask Warts for help- 50 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE GREEN BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Fifth set: Final set- unlocks more body paint and the sleepwear for all life stages

  • Select green body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the green paint to apply it to that sim)

  • Find last ghost-2 hours 30 minutes (click on Warts)

  • Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the green body paint)- 9 hours 10 minutes (TIP: this only takes 5 minutes if one of the sims in a pair is a preteen so you can just use the preteen to complete this 5 times!)

  • Reason with Capsworth- 5 hours 50 minutes

  • Pursue Capsworth to the park (go to the park)
  • Interrupt Capsworth- 50 minutes

  • Study at candy stash- 4 hours 10 minutes

  • Reveal truth- 10 hours 50 minutes

  • Speak to Wizard Wickham- 2 hours 30 minutes (click on wizard and select request backup)

  • Listen to ghosts- 15 hours 50 minutes

  • Thank ghosts- 4 hours 10 minutes
