- Have 5 sims sitting in front of the podium (click on chairs and select attend meeting- works with teens, adults and senior sims- can be cancelled after task is complete)
- Host the town meeting- 12 hours 30 minutes (auction podium)
- Make an espresso- 20 seconds (using coffee machine at community center)
- ‘Object!’ at the podium- 4 minutes
- Powercord presentation- 4 hours 20 minutes (using blackboard)
- Have a teen look at the pirate- 2 minutes
- Have a teen talk to the pirate- 7 seconds
- Talk to the pirate (again)- 2 minutes

No, preteen is the stage before teen.

Maybe you mistakenly call a preteen and not a teen. I also made that mistake and wait for my preteen to grow.

Thanks, for your help I am finally finished! And is Benjiman a teenage boy? He doesn’t look like a Adult male well tall but still boyish. I just finished the puppy quest two days ago. I got a lot of cute t-shirts, but I missed the Poodle. I am almost finished with the kitten one, and then I was surprised with a long haired quest. I had to have one sim give up cooking to start it.. so now I have two sims in cooking.

If you have another teen already you can use them to talk to the pirate, if not you will need to turn a younger sim into a teen

I have an issue with the “send a teenager to the community center”. I called one, but it doesn’t let me complete the goal. I exited out of the app and restarted my phone but it still doesn’t work.
It might have been because I sent him as a toddler as one of the 5 sims for the previous goal and made him into a teenager while he was still at the community center.
How can I fix this problem?

Try sending the teen back home and trying again
If he was a toddler you would have needed to age him twice because the preteen stage isn’t teen so would not complete the goal

The times have changed, for example if only takes four minutes to convince the pirate to stay and it takes a minute to dance with the pirate etc. but thank you for the help!

But, i’m gonna asking you something. I have problem while playing this quest. Idk why. But, everytime i finished my last task to “say goodbye to the pirates”, my sims always suddenly stopped working. And everytime i back again to the game it always stopped. Once i back to the game, every single task other sims doing while finishing the “say goodbye to the pirates” is suddenly gone. What happen to my sims game? Its confusing and also frustrating. Please help me!

One of my games has been doing this a lot lately, the problem is it cannot cope with the amount of memory you are trying to use and it crashes the game, causing your sims to stop what they are doing. Try restarting your device before going back on to finish the task and that should hopefully stop it crashing for a while but this isn’t a permanent fix, you will need to keep restarting every so often when the game starts to get slow again.
I’m confused. Accdg to your post, version 2 has 4days time limit. I just started this quest and it says my time limit is 4days. But when I have a teen play sea shanty it took 5mins36secs which is supposed to be 8mins(as what it says on your post). So I don’t really know what version I have. I’m ccurrently on ‘host meeting’ 12hrs 30mins
Quest times are changed everytime the game is updated, it would be impossible for me to redo all quests everytime the game is updated so maybe they have just changed the time for this goal.

I love your blog 🙂 I just wanted to add something regarding The Pirate and his Goddess – I don’t know if there may have been an update , or perhaps a glitch with mine, but I was not able to move forward on solving the 2nd clue without having built the Snow Park – the parcel at the Swim Center only appeared after I ignited the fireplace at Snow Park. Just thought it may be worth mentioning. Thank you so much for all that you do!
You don’t need to look at the parcel, the answer is in the post, you just tell the pirate the answer.

You need to go to your neighbours town and find an easel there, then you can select practice painting. If they do not have one you have to add a neighbour who has an easel or use LPs to skip the task.

Thank you for all your very informative posts. Because of these I am able to conclude if I’ll be able to finish each quest on time right as it appears for me. Unfortunately, I will not be completing this quest on time as I do not yet have a teen. I wish there were breaks in between quests to take a moment to enjoy the game. It’s very frustrating finishing your quest in the nick of time only to immediately have the next timed quest appear! I normally look at your blog to look for the extended time period tasks to have it timed where it becomes available right before I go to sleep! So thanks a bunch!

Because they updated the time and I was told about the change but I haven’t redone the quest myself since to take a new picture. The pictures are mainly there just to show you how to do a task anyway, for accurate times it is best to read the post, not the picture.

Do i really need 5 sims to be sitting there to host the podium or i can just host it with no one?
No, you can cancel them sitting once you complete that task and then you can just have one sim there to host.
Why when I wanted to finish the last mission of the Pirates (say goodbye) it wouldn’t work well… When I clicked “2 minutes” to say goodbye to the pirates the Sims was stopped and exit from the game…. Cam you help me..? Thanks for your answer 🙂
Try restarting your device and then try again, this should allow you to complete the task without it closing.
For the 2nd part of the pirate quest where you’re following the clues, I went to the swimming pool with my teen but you’re not allowed to search for clues there and there is no parcel, so looks like you have to build the snowpark after all.

Does the teen and the pirate become in love?
Not really, the teen gets a crush on the pirate but that is it really, he leaves once the quest is complete.
A strange thing happened to me a couple years ago on my iOS. While playing during the mystery island quest a pop up came up telling me I didn’t finish in time to unlock the pirate outfits. This is much before I knew there was a pirate quest and I don’t know if I somehow screwed up/lost that quests prize, I have yet to reach it since I don’t want to get start aging and refuse to miss the prizes along the way. XD (I currently reside in the teenagers questline)
Anyways, just thought it was a funny glitch/experience.

It has to be the one at the snow park but the answer is in this post so you don’t need to do that, just go find the pirate with the correct answer.

Is there a faster way to level up the island monuments?
The quickest way would be to use LP to buy the resources you need otherwise it takes forever to upgrade all of them
