How to find your Player ID
Your Player ID can be found on the game, click on Settings (green dots) and you will see it at the bottom of the screen or from settings click on info then on about, scroll down to the bottom of the about tab to find your Player ID:

When i move around the windows in my house, the floor gets dark even though the lights are on. We can fix it by restarting the game but its really annoying.

I have went to my neighbours town for a first time, when I get there I get on level 12. Then it crashes and I am back on 98% through level 11. Glitch?
what happened was it didn’t save you levelling up before it crashed
To stop your game crashing when visiting a neighbours you may have to turn your device off and on again before you visit one or this could happen again.
Hi I logged into my game and when I look at my houses on the town map 2 of my houses have its grass as a black unfilled shape, plus the other 3 houses have sea instead of grass. What should I do?
Maybe try closing the game and opening it again
My hobbits percentage bar is werid like it flashes when you do the hobbits but the percentd is still 0% I been to try up so I can finish the slasa dancing quest to unlock the villa but I can’t unlock the trophy if I can’t levels up!!! It been annoying for couple days now……it limited time quest so I’m kind stress and annoyed -____-

This is a glitch but it doesn’t stop you from levelling up, the hobby bar % just goes back to 0 everytime you do the hobby but if you look when you finish the hobby it will show the correct % before you start it again
Hello, thanks for your blog. I’m losing simoleons after completing some tasks. I thought I had noticed this before but wasn’t completely sure. I thought I would lose 500 or 1000 simoleons after gardening or cooking or whatever. This time one of my sims completed work and the game asked if I would like to visit the sim. I clicked yes and then lost 40,000 simoleons. This is the most I have lost at one time. As I mentioned before, this has happened a previous number of times losing smaller amounts. I’ve never used a cheat. Any suggestions? Thanks!

One time it didn’t save an i have been closing the game and opening it up again
this isn’t a glitch, this happens sometimes, save to the cloud before you close your game each time and this shouldn’t happen.
This glitch was cool: my sim was swimming, and while she was in the pool,I sent her to work, and when I sent her to work she changed into her work clothes, and swam out like that! Another glitch I have was that when I go to a neighbor’s house, their sims are always inspired in one house, and their needs and pet’s happiness are drained in the other houses (weird because most of their sims keep peeing)

I’m Ve noticed this with my neighbors also! It’s strange that one house is always inspired and the rest are peeing on themselves..lol
A lot of words are blacked out on the game. It started when I began the need for steed. Also my sims won’t level up or get anything new when doing hobbies.
That sounds like a technical issue, maybe you should contact EA
I just had a spaceship fly through my town at 1:07am, I tried touching it on my iPad but it did nothing. What does it do?
are you on a quest that involves the alien osiris? If so that will be why.
For some reason, when I do certain things— like open the Sim Tracker and the Town Map— these green squares show up. When my Sim does something to fill up a square and the square highlights and flashes green— that’s what they look like. I was wondering what they were?

That is what they are, they are just appearing in the wrong place, it does it on my game all the time, there is nothing to worry about

When trying to visit a neighbors town to complete a task, it completely closes my game. I have also noticed most of my neighbors no longer have the houses they once had. I have looked to see if my game needed to be updated but there is no update found at this time. Im playing from my Kindle… anyone else have this issue?
closing when you visit neighbours is a RAM issue with your device, your device is trying to use more memory than it can handle so it crashes
I haven’t heard about neighbours no longer having houses they once had, the only thing I can think of- have they changed their houses since you last visited?

My device got an update randomly, and it said I didn’t complete the Christmas quest in time, but got 10 lp, and gave me 1 lp for a weekly quest I never did. I have never used a cheat. Is this bad, and will it erase data?
lots of people have had this glitch, it shouldn’t have done anything apart from giving you LPs
I found this glitch. Apparently when you put all lights in your house to auto they are supposed to turn on only when there is an active sim or pet roaming and doing something around, and sims should be awake. But there are times even without a sim nor pet inside a room the light is on. It doesnt affect much of the gameplay just the aesthetic night scence idea. When I get out of that house and return sometime it fixes itself. Is this a normal occurence? Or are there something you could share that i should know of?

I’m doing the salsa quest and I’m stuck on talk to dancers. I talk to them for 15 minutes and nothing happens. I’ve tried talking to them twice but it still says that I need to talk to them.

Store repairs icons inaccessible. Keep saying it will be ready in x amount of days? Got burger bar up an running?
you have to wait for those days before you can access those areas.
Hi…I love your website! I just added a baby and when I clicked on the crib, there were 2 more babies on the floor! I bought cribs for them, but couldn’t name them so now I have I named baby and 2 with just a surname…what should I do?
There isn’t much you can do really, you could ultimate makeover to change their name but for 12LPs each its not going to be cheap!
My sims just had quadruplets….there are 3 babies on the floor and 1 in the crib….

The new Sunset Mall will not allow me to build it.
It says I must be level 12 and have the park built. I meet both qualitifcations but it shows that I don’t have the park built for some reason.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi! So I’m on the Mysterious Island quest and I’m at the goal where I need to Call A Friend. For some reason though every time I call a friend on the phone it does not complete the goal. I’ve tried it 3 times now. The progress bar states I’m at 33% of the quest, but to the right of the bar (where a picture usually is) is just a blank box. How would you suggest I fix this? Thanks for any help and thanks for the great blogs!
I suggest you contact EA to see if they can fix this issue for you as this is a techincal issue so unfortunately there is nothing I can do

Hey, sorry to put this in the glitches blog but I wanted to know how to get more than 1 sim to go to the neighbours towns
you can’t, only one of your sims can go to a neighbours at once
My competition centre is really messed up. Every time I click on it when a competition is available it says I came in fourth on something I didn’t enter. And didn’t even put a Sim in for. Then it tells me I have to wait 32 hours, and after that time, it does the same thing again! I just keep getting told I got fourth when I have no sims competing. Do you have any advice? I love this blog, it’s so useful and there’s many quests I’ve only managed because of this, your dedication to this and patience with answering questions is incredible! 🙂
I have heard about a few people having problems with their competition center changing the competition while they are competing but I haven’t heard of them being rewarded for something they haven’t even entered! But in a way you are getting money for doing nothing which isn’t that bad!
All I can suggest is you contact EA to see if they can fix this issue for you as I can’t really fix technical issues, sorry!

sorry I can’t really do much to help as this is a technical issue, you will need to contact EA to see if they can fix it for you.
Some glitches I have noticed:
– Occasionally, when I open the game, inspired sims don’t sparkle. At the same time, if I look at the town map, some yards are “flooded” with water texture, and some are black. When this is happening, slip & slides and fountains also look strange. This corrects itself after a while.
– If I close the game while a sim is riding the broomstick, the hobby doesn’t show as completed in the sim tracker when I return – just a barely-started progress bar. Going to view the sim involved shows him waving happily, though.
– If you have sims cleaning up trash (restaurant or bar cleanup, opening the mall) and you leave the location to look at another sim, when you return, the “click me next” indicator cloud will be hovering over an object already in progress by a sim. Clicking it makes it go away or appear by the actual next item if there is one.
– Praising a dog that is holding a toy gives a funny result – the dog and the sim will be offset by the same distance that the dog traveled between clicking “praise” and dropping the toy. So your sim will be several steps away, petting an invisible dog, while the dog enjoys an invisible belly rub.
– If your sims like to cook and then leave a stack of plates on the floor (don’t judge me!!!) sometimes you get the amusing Toddler Squatting In Quiche or Cat Sleeping On Spaghetti effect.
– This is more poor gameplay logic than a glitch, but roommates seem to take the surname of the householder, regardless of marital status or desire to maintain identity. Does a male sim take a female householder’s name? Don’t know.
– On the fancy lot next to the lighthouse (might also work elsewhere) the householder lost ownership of his home when a roomie moved in. Now she has his surname, and the lot shows her face in map view.
– Cats will jump up on the (red/brown/white/black) dining chair and follow the laws of physics, but when they jump down, they ignore the existence of the chair back.
– Dogs and cats will happily stand around with their heads stuck through a door.
– Others have noticed this – going to work straight from the pool is hilarious, and looks like the sim object fails to interact properly with the floor object, in that the game doesn’t distinguish completely between floor as solid and floor as water.
– Salsa dancers use a 3×3 floor grid to dance in, but may step outside this depending where in the activity cycle they are when the activity time is up. This leads to a couple of funny and/or annoying things: Annoying – if their step-out collides with another couple at the end of the activity, the offending couple doesn’t complete the activity and no award is given (not sure about XP). Funny – the frustrated pair don’t change out of their dance clothes. Also funny – if the step-out is too close to an exterior wall, one sim ends up outside.
– Tiny fishing glitch – the huddled eaten sim is visible a couple of frames too long when the big fish goes back into the water.
Recently I have been having a issue getting my sims to go to the bathroom in certain places. I have a adult and senior in the ski park and neither can go to the bathroom when I cic use bathroom, nothing is in the way of the door or path. I’m having this issue as well in the community center with my sims. Is this a update issue since the mall quest?
Yes this is a glitch some players are experiencing in the latest update, hopefully they will fix it in the next one
One major glitch I have noticed is with the new burger bar.. Anytime I go to click on it for any interactions, the game freezes and shuts down…
I forgot to mention it is happening in two games, both mine and my daughters and on numerous devices.. So it’s not a ram issue.. We both use new iPad air 2’s and also an iPad 4th and 2 regular iPad airs.. We also tried to play on an iPhone 6 plus and a Galaxy S5, with the iPads, iPhone and GS5 all other apps are closed out. 😦
It sounds like a RAM issue to me, the only thing you can really do is not use the burger bar or you could try contacting EA to see what they say
In one of my houses the to is always on and playing even when there is no one in the room and no one is watching it. Is this normal?
Its just a small glitch, get someone to watch it again and it should turn off when they finish.
I have noticed, at least 5 times, that the message will pop up saying I have obtained enough of the resources to level up one of the monuments.. “Go build it up now” something like that. And I’ll hop on over to The Island, and none of the monuments are ready. Most times I still lack at least 4 of the last resource: like gold, the pink bubble, the lava rock (never get these darn ones), or the wind thingy.
I usually have buttloads, like at least 100, of 2 of the resources, but there is always that last one that takes forever. So when I do get that pop up message telling me that I finally got what I needed, I get excited.. Then let down when I go to The Island. It isn’t every time, but I have screenshot at least 3 times where this has happened.
Has anyone else noticed this?
P.S. I also had a chick sitting in the oven once, just chillin like it was a chair. It was funny.
I haven’t noticed that happen before- that is really strange and would really annoy me too!

Hello there! Im trying to get my horse to start show jumping and it says the gate hasnt been fixed yet and i should “press the icon above the gate to fix it” but it is fixed and my sim just stands in front of it! Might you have any suggestions? Thank you

Hello! The only thing I can think of is have you fixed the right gate? The showjumping gate is the one on its own. If you have I think you will need to contact EA to see if they can fix this problem.

hi, I was doing the salsa hobby with two sims and one of my sims had the fishing hobby that I wanted to change and when I had them salsa, my other sim who didn’t have a hobby got the salsa hobby and my sim who I wanted to change hobby still had the fishing hobby! I cancled and when I looked at the simtracker my other sim(the one with the salsa hobby) had no hobby. I’m pretty annoyed since my other sim didn’t get the hobby like I wanted to. is this a glich or something?
This isn’t a glitch, the sim who picks the dance is the only one who levels up so the other one will still show their previous hobby, just get the sim with the fishing hobby to pick the dance next time and have the other sim wait.

I recently am having an issue with the sim eating plants. Negotiate does not work, and the plants just pops right back up. I have tried rebooting my phone and checking for updates but nothing has worked. I even grew some watermelons which do not give you a plant eating sim and I somehow still got one. Tried to contact EA just having a problem finding the exact place were I do that.
Is there anything you know that could help?
Are you doing the lunar new year quest? Growing watermelon causes a sim eating plant to grow during this quest, so once the quest is over it should sort itself out.
I added a baby, but I got 2, and 1 of them was just called the last name, Sparkes. I didn’t want to waste Lps on an ultimate makeover , because I don’t have many, so I just deleted it.But I still don’t know why. Any ideas?
This is just a glitch in the game at the moment, if you close the game while adding a baby, you get two
Sometimes when I plant, two sims plant the same thing at the same time, but only one of the garden plots show the plants growing. It’s not really a problem, because it still gives me the money/XP.
Whenever I do certain things, I notice two green squares side by side on my screen. It goes away after a few seconds but I was wondering what it is. I thought maybe it had to do something with Osiris but they show up even when I have no quest with Osiris.
Are they flashing green squares? If so then it is just the flashing outline that appears when you fill up a sims needs appearing in the wrong place, it is nothing to worry about
That same glitch happened to me when I was in the screen where you name the baby and choose its skin color… I switched out of the app with that screen still open, to check my list of names and personalities… When I switched back into the game, I had two babies in the same cradle after I had named the baby… And the first baby did not have a last name. So I restored from the cloud and lost half of a days work but I did not want to chance having my game be totally destroyed. I should also mention that the extra baby was one more Sim then I was allowed to have in my town at the time!

Its just a glitch, if you close your game it should be back to normal, it isn’t anything to worry about
my ipod died but before it did I was adding a baby and when it recharged and I got back on it and went to readd the baby right so after I did that I noticed the 1st baby I added before it died was on my floor so now I have 2 babies and im over my simtown count im not upset because I have twins but just wanted to know if that is weird.

I was clearing the lot 4 of the mall and the app crashed when I went to finish the last piece now it says that the lot 4 has to be cleared but it already has been. I can’t proceed with building the mall at all because it sees the lot 4 hasn’t been cleared bc of the crash. Any ideas I can do to get it to see the area has been cleared?
Area 4 is also at the front of the mall on the left hand side

have you tried restarting your device? If that still doesn’t work go onto facebook, into settings and remove the connection between the game and facebook and your sim will hopefully be back in your town
If that still doesn’t work you may need to contact EA
Hi! Not exactly a glitch, but I wanted to ask a question if you knew the answer.
So I figure you’ve heard about the baby glitch for the new Mall update. I’ve watched many videos on this and I know how to do it, but I was wondering if, when you add the babies, your not giving them names. So they end up with no names. How do I give them names?

I relocated a cat to a different house and the cat is in the street in the back of the yard (backyard). It cant move really, except to stand and lay down. I’ve tried calling it over, I’ve tried relocating it again, I’ve tried selecting Interactions with it… nothin works. Poor kitty is just stuck all alone in the street.
Does restarting your device help?
No, restarting hasn’t helped, my poor cat is stuck in the street on the other side of the backyard fence 😦 lol. On a side note, do you know if the ‘baby glitch’ where you have unlimited babies from restarting the game, continues if you do the cadtle update? I would hate to lose that. Mits really handy for getting orbs quick, & i have a lot of them gardening as well.

I’m at level 20 and I send my sims to their jobs then save and log out and logging back in shortly after stopping the game mybsims are right back at where they were before sending them to their job

I’ve noticed with version 5.11.0 (latest sims) on Android that when I leave the game to another app and return to the Sims Freeplay that all actions that were taking place reset on me. Items earned for hobbies (ex – Bears in the Toddler Playhouse hobby) before jumping to another app were missing as if never earned from the start. Whatever actions I executed on were reset — strange stuff…. Anyone else encounter something similar?
My iPad is always doing this so now I always save to the cloud before closing to stop this from happening

The quest for hibernate at a neighbors house and stargaze at a neighbors house is not working. I’ve done the hibernate 3times now. Is there something in doing wrong?
you can’t have two social tasks at once, go to a neighbours and click on active tasks to see whether you have to hibernate or stargaze at a neighbours
The other one is probably a weekly task.
Does this happen when you are doing social tasks in neighbors’ towns? You may be finding an item that would complete a level on one of their monuments but it doesn’t mean it is enough to complete a level on one of yours “back home.”
Hello…wondered if you may be able to answer. Unsure if it’s a glitch or if I just didn’t earn him. It’s the pet dragons that didn’t appear in my pet store. Is this unusual? Thanks:)
you needed to complete the book of spells quest in the time limit to unlock the dragons
I see. I thought so, but then read online that it should’ve appeared after the quest was completed. That just figures. I love him.

It only appears after you finish the quest if you complete the quest in time, it you don’t you won’t unlock the dragons
whet you go to the a closet and chose ”change into swim suit” our sim change into their swim suit but if you use the simtracker to sent your sim somewhere else Example;another sim house, they will randomly change into their everyday clothes again. I don’t know why?

I seem to be having the problem with task of 3 sims in a deep sleep and constantly in their work clothes regardless of wardrobe changes , showers etc. Cant even register with EA at the mo to ask them. Agghhh, lol.

have you updated the game? you should just be able to click build on the mall if you meet all the requirements, and have nothing else building, there is no quest to tell you to build it
