Completing this quest unlocks the snow park and the ability to change the weather in your sims town! If you complete in the time limit you will unlock snow outfits for all your sims. You can still complete this quest to unlock the snow park and weather machine once the time is up but you won’t get the snow outfits

Version One

- Search for UFOs in the park- 1 minute 30 seconds (using the telescope)
- Be nice to an alien- 1 minute
- Become friends with an alien (to bring him to your house, use the simtracker and click the whistle)
- Go to park
- End is nigh on soapbox- 9 hours 30 minutes (in park) (can be started early)
- Become best friends with an alien
- Browse internet- 4 minutes
- Be nice to Osiris (the alien)- 1 minute
- Spend 16,000 on electronics
YOU NEED TO BUY FROM THE ELECTRONICS SECTION OF THE HOME STORE TO COMPLETE THIS GOAL
- Negotiate with a sim eating plant- 3 minutes
Grow lettuce until it turns into a sim eating plant, this part can be done early, click on the sim eating plant to negotiate with it.
- Read fine literature- 12 hours (can be started early)
- Be rude to Osiris- 10 seconds
- Woohoo- 5 minutes
- Deep sleep- 6 hours 30 minutes (can be started early)
- Be funny to Osiris- 10 seconds
- Play electronica on stereo- 2 minutes 42 seconds
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now build the Snow Park and begin the Figure Skating Hobby you also unlock the weather machine, keep reading for how to use it!
NOTE: the Snow Park is needed for the Seniors quest so build it before then
Using the Weather Machine- firstly the weather machine can be found in the electronics section for S70,000, you can have one per household
Once placed at a house you can:
- Make it day all the time, or night all the time regardless of the time of day
- You can make the weather random
- You can make it rain (so you can use umbrellas!) (your sims can also get struck by lightning which makes them inspired!)
- You can make it snow (so you can freeze pools and complete the ice skating hobby on them)
To get the weather back to normal you can resume day/night cycle or select blue skies
Time Limited Prize: Snow outfits
Is the prize worth it? Yes I think so, the snow outfits are free and they include snowboard suits and other items like woolly hats and earmuffs! Perfect to wear at the snow park!
Where can I find them? Outfits, hats and earmuffs (hair section) are in the wardrobe.

- Warn simanity (soapbox in park)- 1 day (can be started early)

I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 16 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 16?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
Why are there two versions of this quest?
Some quests have two versions, as when the makers have updated the times for quests they haven’t updated them on all devices so some players still get the old times
How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker,this post explains more about the simtracker
How do I become friends with the alien?
Be nice to Osiris until your sim becomes friends with him, do this again to become best friends when you get that goal
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
I have spent S16,000 on items but the goal will not complete, why?
Make sure you are just buying items from the electronics section of buy mode
How do I negotiate with a sim eating plant?
You need to grow lettuce until it turns into a sim eating plant then when it has you will be able to negotiate with it
How do I get my sims to woohoo?
You need two sims who are partners to be able to get this interaction
I already have a world globe, do I have to buy another one?
Yes you do or you cannot complete this quest
I don’t have a stereo, where can I find one?
You can buy one from the electronics section
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Snow outfits
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the snow park and weather machine before you can move onto the next quest

No, you cannot redo quests

Heard somewhere that the telescope disappeared with the Christmas update. I can’t find mine either. Not sure how to contact anyone, working 14 hours today so will deal with it tomorrow.

I can’t find the telescope in my part either. what can I do before my time runs out? Everyone has that commented back saying look in the middle of the park its not there
I don’t understand why no one can find it, this must be a glitch if it isn’t there, if so there isn’t anything I can do to fix it.
I have to say it was tough to find on my first go, but on the second go I noticed that there are at least 3 dotted around the park. The most obvious direction I can give is to find the one on the bridge on the opposite end to the fishing rod. That’s with the latest update on Android so if you’re on the same platform I can’t imagine the telescope not appearing.

I found the telescopes; at first I couldn’t find them and I was mad about not being able to start the quest, but they appeared once it got dark. I don’t know if that is totally unrelated, but hopefully it will help someone. 🙂
I also didn’t have the telescope at the park. After searching in vain, I put the game down and came back in a few hours and now it’s there :)….. By the way, I just want to say I love, LOVE, your blog. This game wouldn’t be as much fun without it, so thanks so much 🙂

Near the ducks, you probably cant get to the one over the water so it is probably a glitch

You need to get to the next level before those will light up, have a look it will say L.4 or something, this means you need to be at level 4 before this one can be collected.

Hi I tried to make my sims have woohoo but my girl did get undressed and the boy but then the girl got dressed back again and she walked awy from him

Can I use my toddlers to do things like hibernate , deep sleep and watch a movie marathon or would it not count?
sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, I would always use an adult to be on the safe side unless the goal asks you to use a specific aged sim.
Can you start items early like ther hibernation, fine literature etc?

Hi, um I know this has nothing to do with this quest, (but this the one I’m on), but I bought a dog by accident, and I’m wondering that if I put it up for adoption, I will get my LPs back. Will I?,because I’m wondering if I should just keep it.

I finished this quest a while ago, but do you know why my sims can’t use the bathroom at the snow park? Every time I try to tell them to use it, there’s a blue footprint thing, but I don’t see anything blocking the bathroom. And there’s nothing I can do about rearranging the furniture since it’s at the snow park. Please help!
This is a glitch for some players in the latest update, hopefully they will fix it in the next one!

Hey just wanted to tell you that EA probably listened to people’s complaints because now theres 3 telescopes available in the park- one beside the ducks, one in the bridge opposite the fishing rod, and another beside the chess sets. I thought it was a glitch on my ipad but i saw my friend’s android and its the same there ss well. 🙂

you don’t need to complete in time to get the weather machine, it should be the first thing in the electronics section and costs 70,000

So, this is a random question, but I have 350 LPs and I am not sure if I should use them to finish things early or invest them? Obviously, that’s what I’ve been doing but I hate waiting so long for things to finish.
Its your decision, I can’t tell you what to do, but if you want to complete quests in time to get the prizes I would consider using some to speed up tasks

I just use them when I want to, if I want to buy an item, I will buy it, if I want to save them for a house, I save them but I use them mostly for speeding up tasks though in quests.

is there any way i van get ahead of these tasks someway? like can i get another one of my friends to become best friends with the alien while one does the soap box?
Yes you can become best friends with the alien beforehand and you can also bake croissants, read fine literature, watch a movie marathon and deep sleep early, everything you can usually do in the game you can do early.
Hello just an FYI, for the hibernation part it can be done early and i used my toddler since they are always hibernating. Just leave them on stand by and don’t go in the house in which they are hibernating. I discovered this on accident. Happy Simming and thank you for all your helpful tips. ♡♡♡
A tip you might want to add above: babies don’t do much so if at the begining of your quest you have them hibernate it helps A LOT, also I found the telescope easily. I love your blog and it helps me soooooo much thanks
They say you need to buy for $16.000 in electronics but don’t know what to do I bougth a fridge a range and computer and it didn’t work what else do I need to buy to make it wor k please
no you need to buy items from the electronic section so computers, tvs and phones, not just electrical items.

You have to make a new sim eating plant, so plant lettuce until it grows into a sim eating plant then you can negotiate with it

I always end up here when I need help 🙂 second, I don’t have the Costume and Swim store because I was saving for it but then the Sunset Mall quest happened and the restaurant quest happened, and every time the value of my town goes up the cost of the Costume and Swim store goes up. Anyways, if I finish this quest in time, and also all the other quests I’ve finished that grant outfits, will they be available once I build the store or does that need to be built first?
