2. Yours is my go to place for answers. Regarding the orbs, the only way to get them is to let your sims age and die right? I don’t want my sims dying. I only did one to complete the Lifestyles quest chain.

   • Yes that is the only way unfortunately, now you have done the quest your sims will age and die whether they have earned an orb or not

3. I’ve heard you can use a platinum orb to make your sim immortal. I assume it’s any of these four types, so long as it’s platinum? Also, is it possible to keep your sim immortal at the teen and adult stages? (I’d like to keep my teen idol and an adult that accidentally got a special clothing item, but I won’t bother if they’ll age to seniors.)

   • Yes that is correct, you can pause a sim at any life stage using a platinum orb

4. Do you need simoleons to build these places or are orbs enough? I’m almost at the quest and I wanna know if I need to save money to build these places or if I can spend them now. Thanks! Btw, I love your blog! It’s so helpful.

     • Thank you! I still haven’t finished building the rooftop lounge in my restaurant and the shops in the mall so it’s nice to know I can start building them now.

     • It says you need the pet salon to use the pet park. Does it need simoleons as well?

     • It costs simoleons to build the pet salon, not orbs.

5. I clicked on the beach and it showed which orbs to have in order to build but it also showed how many lps to use to get orbs. Can you explain how this works?

   • either use orbs or just complete using a lot of LPs.

6. OMG it takes tooo looonggggg to upgrade an orbs, is that just me or it happened to you too? And it takes looooonnngeerrrr to collect all those island ‘speciment’ to make the mountain exploded! For how long you could build all the building and monument on this game without spending LPs?

   Tho i alr finish the main quest (thanks for all your precious guide honey and yes i hate to see my sims died) and now start the mall one, i suddenly realize that i still have so many things to do OMG againnn ps.thanks for the cooking hobby tips, i’m working on it 🙂

   • It takes forever, I still haven’t finished building everything! Especially not the monuments!
     But its good having stuff still to do in the game, it would be so boring if you had finished everything 🙂

7. Oh this is awesome! Thank you 🙂 unfortunately I found this a week after I’d opened the last place but before that I couldn’t find this info ANYWHERE!

   • And also, is it just me or is it painfully slow to get pet orbs? The geek and entertainer orbs seem to be much faster!

     • Yes it is, probably because there is no job life dream for pet orbs

8. I wish they’d put any of the other jobs towards Animal Fanatic orbs. I completely agree that it is so painfully tedious to get through it, I usually put my babies on it since adults take forever. Firefighters could “save animals everyday” or artists could “paint animals all day” (they already have that as an earlier life option) or even politician would work with “make laws that protect animals.”

   But what I really wanted to post about was the total number of life orbs needed. I like to have a complete visual of what I need, and work on all my bronze, then silvers and so on. So I did the math (for every platinum orb is you need 1 bronze, 1 silver and 1 gold to be able to get to that 1 platinum) and here is what you need in the overall for all the life orb related areas:

   Arcade:
   17 Bronze
   14 Silver
   9 Gold
   1 Platinum
   41 Sims in total to get all the orbs you need for the Arcade

   Beach
   25 Bronze
   8 Silver
   (love this the most because I was able to build everything so quickly)
   33 Sims in total to get all the orbs you need for the Beach

   Carnival
   25 Bronze
   21 Silver
   14 Gold
   4 Platinum
   (feel that this may take the longest with how many gold and platinum orbs needed)
   64 Sims in total to get all the orbs you need for the Carnival

   Pet Park
   20 Bronze
   20 Silver
   9 Gold
   1 Platinum
   50 Sims in total to get all the orbs you need for the Pet Park

   Making for a grand total of 188 Sims that you will need to send to the afterlife to get all the orbs you will need.

   And like I mentioned above, I like to work on all the bronze I’ll need for each personality, then once all those are in inventory, you can use the ones you need to work on your silvers, leaving any bronze behind that will be used as a bronze.
   I am still quite a ways off from having some of these done (still need 16 geek orbs, 36 entertainment orbs and 35 animal fanatic orbs), but being able to see the overall need makes it way easier to track them and helps me avoid going over on inventory with any of the orbs.
   Thanks for everything you post, I love to keep things organized and your blog really helps me keep track of things.

   • Your comment is still in moderation, as I have to update the post the comment will be in moderation until I get around to it otherwise I will forget. Sorry I haven’t done it yet but I have a lot going on right now.

     • When I posted this comment, my original comment had disappeared completely, when normally, while awaiting moderation, it is visible to me, but has that disclaimer on the bottom. It has shown back up, but it was gone for over a day. Sorry for being so hasty to assume such, but it has happened before.

     • So about a month later and my original comment isn’t any where to be found (at least is it no longer visible to me). i know you have a lot going on with how much everyone comments on your site and the updates, but the information i provided could have still been posted as a comment until you got around to updating the post. I thought I was being helpful in letting you and everyone else know how many sims it takes and how many of each level of orb you need to accomplish all the orbs you need.
       I guess I’ll just keep to myself and not comment on your site anymore.

     • Sorry but this is actually my hobby, this is probably the first time in a month I have had a chance to sit down and try and sort everything out. I have updated it now, I’m sorry, I am trying my best but life does have to come first.
       If I did post it I would have completely forgot to add it to the post.

10. When I first read this post I was only concerned about the orb used to build the places so I didn’t notice the others. Now that I checked it again, I just realized that I still have a looooong way to go. I thought after I built the places I can finally work on getting platinum orbs and creating permanent sims. Thank you for your great blog. Have you already unlocked all the hobbies that requires orbs?

12. Hi, do you have an idea which life dream gets through the animal orbs the fastest? Some of them only increase 1%! Thank you 🙂

    • for adults I usually select I want to play frisbee with a dog- 9 hours

13. Your total numbers are a bit off.
    Arcade should be:
    17 Bronze
    16 Silver
    9 Gold
    1 Platinum

    Beach is correct.

    Carnival should be:
    26 Bronze
    21 Silver
    17 Gold
    4 Platinum

    Pet Park should be:
    20 Bronze
    18 Silver
    9 Gold
    1 Platinum

14. What is the easiest place to get using orbs?x

    • the arcade but the place you can complete the quickest overall is the beach as it only requires silver and bronze orbs.
