This is going to be a very quick post as there isn’t much to say about the pet salon but I have been asked about it.
If you don’t know where to find it it is near the competition center (the location can be found on my town map post)
What can you find in the pet salon?
If you complete the A Puppy Odyssey quest in the time limit you unlock outfits for your kittens and puppies that can be brought from the pet salon
The main reason for it though is to buy collars for your adult cats and dogs so they can go to the Pet Park (which can be built once you complete the life dreams and legacies quest) to complete the Cat Show, Dog Agility and Dog Obedience hobbies!
You can also buy Christmas antlers and hats for your adult cats and dogs!
How do you buy items?
The pet salon works the same way as the sims salon, you select the pet you want then you can choose the collar, hat, headwear or outfit for them to wear and click the green tick in the corner to buy
Dog– collars, hats and headwear
Cat– collars, hats and headwear
Puppy– outfits (if you complete the A Puppy Odyssey quest in the time limit)
Kitten– outfits (if you complete the A Puppy Odyssey quest in the time limit)
How do I remove an item? Click the back arrow which is the first box on the options
If I replace an item with another one, would the first be stored? No, you would have to buy it again
How do I send a pet to the pet park once they are wearing a collar? Click on the pet and select, send to pet park

I was disappointed by the Pet Salon. It has such little items that it doesn’t really warrant a separate building.
I really want the pet park and pet salon, but dont want to do the life dreams and legacy quest due to automatic aging 😦 annoying
You can still build the pet salon without completing the life dreams but unfortunately not the pet park

I was sooo excited about this until reading this post… Been saving up for this building I thought you could dye dogs hair what a bummer!
I have purchased several collars for a cat – the simoleans are deducted from my total, but the collar never shows up, so I can’t send the cat to the pet park. I’ve rebooted the game and my machine. Any ideas about this glitch?
How strange! You seem to have tried all my suggests so you may want to contact EA to see if they can fix this issue for you as unfortunately I cannot fix technical issues.
This happens to me too. Has EA replied to you?
They replied to me and told me to save the game in the cloud and reinstall. I did but it didn’t work. It’s a major glitch for me. I can’t do the pet park hobbies.

I bought the reindeer antlers for my dog and then for some reason I could then purchase the dog collars, but it won’t let me have any collars without the antlers! Ha ha it’s very strange. See if it works for you.
I have the exact same problem- I buy the cat collars, but they don’t show up so I can’t send the cats to pet park. I’ve even tried different cats, none can be collared.
I’ve tried buying a collar for adult dog and cat but they aren’t wearing them, is this beacause I haven’t completed life dreams and legacies quest? Love your website you’ve helped me so much on sims freeplay 😀
How strange, you don’t need to complete the life dreams quest to be able to buy collars for your cats and dogs.
All I can suggest is did you definitely click on the button to purchase the collar? If you did maybe try restarting your device and trying again or you may want to contact EA to see if they can fix this issue for you as unfortunately I cannot fix technical issues.

I have the same issue. I contacted EA 4 days ago. Still no response. I can’t move forward with the hobby till its fixed. 😔
Unfortunately there isn’t much you can do apart from wait for a reply, if they don’t get back to you within a week or so try again
Hi! I’m still saving up money to built the pet salon. What happens if I finish the puppy odyssey quest before finishing building the pet salon? Would I still be able to get the puppy outfits?

Why does it seem like after I put the outfits on my kitten and puppie they now cry, Is that normal?? like maybe they dont like the outfits
Maybe they just need picking up to improve their happiness?
