Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys (Presented by EA Creator Network)
The second neighbourhood in Sim Springs, Palm Promenade will be available from 13th June 2022 (with the You DOT You Update) the aim of this event is to complete daily tasks to renovate house lots in the new neighbourhood, you will need to have completed the first neighbourhood, Sandy Suburbs before you can move on to this one. There is no rush to begin this, it will be available in the future when you are ready to start.

In Palm Promenade there are 4 more house lots that need renovating:

3 of the lots are house lots and the final lot, Barter Boardwalk is a community lot which once unlocked can still be customised like a normal house lot but your sims cannot live in them. You will also be able to place any item from the decoration section of buy mode in the community lot for free!
The lots need to be renovated in the order listed above, you cannot do up more than one lot at a time and the next won’t unlock until the previous one has been completed. The time limit to complete a house is 10 days (14 days for community lot) with tasks to complete each day in Sim Springs, similar to Downtown Developer Events if you don’t complete in the time limit you will have to pay to be able to move on but there are prizes available, the extra zesty prizes contains a house template that can be placed in Sim Springs or Simtown.
- Once Sandy Suburbs is complete you will get the task to ‘Build the Road to Palm Promenade’ click on the orange Sim Springs symbol on the task or the bus stop in Simtown to go to Sim Springs:
- You will see the roadblock sign, click this to get the option to build Palm Promenade:
- Once built you can build the first house Cactus Cave, the timer will begin once this house has finished building:
- You can skip the tutorial if you remember how Sim Springs events work or you can complete the tutorial if you need a recap:

Daily Tasks
- Daily tasks must be completed at Sim Springs
- You can only complete one task at a time, unless it is a build task (buy items etc) then you can complete at the same time as another task
- You can complete these tasks in any order
- The tasks you need to complete will have the Sim Springs symbol on them:
- More than one sim can be used for tasks that require multiple sims
- You will need to buy some items such as trees, couches and computers to be able to complete tasks in Palm Promenade, if you have a 3 star item at a house in Simtown you can store it in your inventory and place it in Palm Promenade rather than buying a new one
- Trash cannot be removed until you get the task to remove it
- If you skip using SP on tasks that require you to clear up items it will remove those items
- For tasks that require you to find items in objects if you use social points to quick complete you can find more
- For tasks that require you to spend money you can buy items and then store them, this still counts TIP: I would save building rooms/ basements etc and placing flooring and wallpaper for when you need to spend money
- For tasks that require you to place a certain number of items, if you store one of those items already in the house you will need to buy or replace it. For example, if you need to buy 6 windows and there are 3 there already but you store them all you will need to buy 6 windows rather than buying 3 more
- Investment tasks are like mastery classes in SimChase, the more you spend, the less time it takes to complete TIP: check how much it would cost to skip with SP it may be cheaper or the same cost as the investment without the wait time
- The lower the star rating, the longer a task will take to complete, I have included this in the tables below
- If sims are inspired they will complete actions faster, I have also included these times in the tables below
- You are aiming to complete the daily tasks within 24 hours, if you take too long you will have to pay to move on
- For tasks that require more than 10 sims to complete at once you can spread them out throughout the houses you have unlocked in Palm Promenade, for example at Tall-Tree House you need to Take 12 Floral Photos of plants so you can have 10 sims at Tall-Tree House and the other 2 in Cactus Cave

This house template is available on a standard and a premium residence under the driveway homes tab (if you build it on the Cactus Cave lot in Sim Springs you will be building the standard as that lot is 18×18) the first one is free, after this it will cost simoleons depending on how many houses you have already built:

I really like this house template, I love how they have a mezzanine to see into the basement from the ground floor, it makes it feel more open and less dark like most basements do. The only part I don’t like is the kitchen as it feels dark rather than following the light theme like the rest of the house

Do I have to use the House Templates given during the event? No, you can keep the house you have been creating during the event but there is always the option to demolish that house and replace it with the template
Once you have completed the whole 10 day event you will unlock the Green (S102,500) and Tan (10SP) Elephant Ear Pots. You don’t have to complete this event in the time limit to unlock these prizes:
Once you have complete Cactus Cave you can take a break for up to 7 days before the next timer begins, to start Tall-Tree House you will need to click on the house lot to build it:

This house template is available on a standard and a premium residence under the driveway homes tab (if you build it on the Tall-Tree House lot in Sim Springs you will be building the standard as that lot is 18×18) the first one is free, after this it will cost simoleons depending on how many houses you have already built:
The premium house is double the size of the standard. The standard looks like it is two apartments, one on the ground floor and one on the second and third floor whereas the premium has a separate building- the ground floor is attached but the second and third floor has 1-2 squares gap between the apartments. The premium makes this into four apartments, the two apartments on the premium are a slightly different layout. That explanation probably makes no sense but there is far too much going on on this house lot and it’s difficult to describe as it’s hard to see exactly how the layout works!
Do I have to use the House Templates given during the event? No, you can keep the house you have been creating during the event but there is always the option to demolish that house and replace it with the template

The ground floor of this house lot is a shop and the first floor is the apartment. On the premium residence the shop and apartment are twice the size they are on the standard:
I like this template, some of the extra zesty prizes have been put to good use to create this with a bright, natural theme that looks like a cute shop and seems perfect for Palm Promenade. My only criticism would be the kitchen, I need more countertops and they need to match! The counter nearest the door frame on the premium residence (fridge on the standard) is a different colour to the other one and the sink. The oven is also too dark, it doesn’t match the light wood in this build.

This template is available on a standard and a premium residence under the driveway homes tab (if you build it on the Barter Boardwalk lot in Sim Springs you will be building the standard (even though it is actually a premium sized lot to begin with!) the first one is free, after this it will cost simoleons depending on how many houses you have already built. If you build it in Sim Springs it will on the community lot so your sims cannot live there but if you build in Simtown your sims will be able to live at the boardwalk as it will be a normal house lot.
Barter Boardwalk is a row of shops and at the end there is a park, on the premium residence there are more shops and a bigger park. Again I really like this template, between the shops on each side you have the lampposts and clocks and tables outside the cafe to create a realistic looking path.
The shops on one side are two story, the other side is a one story building but the coffee shop has a basement which is the storage area and toilets

Do I have to use the House Templates given during the event? No, you can keep the house you have been creating during the event but there is always the option to demolish that house and replace it with the template

Happiness Level
You will need to complete a certain amount of Neighbourhood tasks to level up the Sim Springs Happiness:
- Content- 55 Neighbourhood Tasks
- Optimistic- 105 Neighbourhood Tasks
- Exuberant- 175 Neighbourhood Tasks
- Sim-sational- 250 Neighbourhood Tasks
Once you reach these milestones you will earn these prizes:
- Content- Improved Highway and Birds in Sim Springs (visual changes to Sim Springs) S5,000 and 1 Mystery Key
- Optimistic- More Birds in Sim Springs and Basic Canal (visual changes to Sim Springs) S10,000, 10LP and 1 Mystery Key
- Exuberant- More Birds in Sim Springs and Completed Canal (visual changes to Sim Springs) S20,000, 10SP and 1 Mystery Key
- Sim-sational- Sim Limit Increased by 1, More Birds in Sim Springs, Large Trees and Durable Roads (visual changes to Sim Springs) S30,000, 15LP, 15SP, 3 Mystery Keys, 4 hairstyles, 4 outfits and 4 shoes for female adult sims
We didn’t complete enough neighbourhood tasks in Sandy Suburbs to level up but we do in Palm Promenade so we can reach the level of Content. You will see the improved highway and birds flying over Sim Springs:

You can spend real money to help you complete these events, there are 2 options:
Budget Toolbox (this is for the lot you are currently completing only):
- 50% Lower Time Requirements
- 50% Less Sims Required
- 30% Cheaper ‘Skip Wait’ (skip to start the next day early cost)
- The 1 hour daily task auto completed (probably Check in with Johnny)
Jumbo Toolbox (this is for all 4 lots in Palm Promenade from when you purchase it):
- 50% Lower Time Requirements
- 50% Less Sims Required
- 30% Cheaper ‘Skip Wait’ (skip to start the next day early cost)
- The 1 hour daily task auto completed (probably Check in with Johnny)
- The missed day penalties are 20% cheaper

I didn’t finish the library and it says it’s blocked. Does that mean I won’t be able to do the new area?
You will need to finish the library before you can move on to palm promenade. It may be blocked if you need to pay to move on as you didn’t complete in the time limit.
As a non Facebook player I don’t have a player ID. How do I get a problem resolved ?
Player ID isn’t about facebook, you will find it in the game under settings (3 dots) and at the bottom of the screen you will see your player ID.
I beg to differ but Sims Freeplay is indeed tied to Facebook. When you click on settings you get this , Player ID ( Not logged into any social network) Also when you try to log into the Party Boat you get the following: Not Signed In Please log in to sign in with Facebook.
I have been told if you are playing on an android you also have the option to log in with a google play games account to get a player ID.
Hii! Can u help me please? Im working on palm promenade and when I finish certain house it doesn’t show up in the driveway homes tab? Will they show up later or is there something else?
Did you complete the zest zone in the time limit? That is the only way to get these house templates.
Thanks for all this help/advice. Just 1 question: I have tried (twice) to purchase the Jumbo toolkit boost to help complete the tasks, however whilst my game updates with the VIP points, it does not update to reflect the additional toolkit bonuses (ie, time to complete tasks is not reduced, number of sims required is not reduced etc). I have tried contacting support to get the bug fixed, but get no response. Do you have any suggestions on who/how to raise this issue as I would really like to purchase the toolkit and have it work to help complete the entire Promenade? Thank you
That is strange, have you tried to restore your purchases? Click the 3 white dots button, info and then restore purchases. I have passed on your comment to the makers to see what they suggest but let me know if that works.

ps. once I have purchased the toolkit it does come up with an error message: “Store Error 20013: General error. Please try again later”. This message follows after I have had to do the European Bank payment authentication process. The 17.99 is still deducted from my bank account but then the error message appears. I have been able to get a refund from Apple so that is not the issue, but I would still like to purchase the toolkit as I want to ensure that I am able to complete all the tasks including the neighbourhood tasks. As previously mentioned this has happened twice (15 June and 17 June) when trying to make the purchase, both with the same error message. Thank you for your help about kettle glitch. I couldn’t do the task with none of my kettles then when I Google my problem I came here and read about Red kettle. I found silver one in my inventory but only one sim could do the task with it. I found Red one in one of my houses and other four sims could have their cups of that, Idk why. So I finished all palm promenade tasks.
So im having trouble in the Cactus Cove
Day 2 tasks. The tasks asks to wash dirty dishes but there are no dishes in the basement or anywhere. Wasnt sure if it makes you go in order until they appear or if i need to contact support due to a glitch.

Are you placing it in palm promenade? You can only complete those tasks there.

Hi, has anyone found a solution to the ‘brew floral tea’ neighbourhood task as I’m having the same issue as Marika – I’ve placed various kettles in Palm Promenade but my SIMs are unable to complete the action. Is there a work around other than spending SPs to skip the task?

I’ve got this aswell. I purchased every single kettle & it’ll have the option to brew flowered tea but the action will stop within 30 seconds with the sim saying no option. I also have no idea what to do next.
The makers are aware of this issue and are working on a fix.
I finally got this to work using an electric kettle (mine was red) that actually has “kettle” in the name. It wasn’t unlocked in my game but I had one in my inventory from an architect house.

Unfortunately I can’t find any kettle to work. I have contacted Firemonkeys support and they have confirmed that they are aware that there is an error with this task and the development team have been notified. A fix will ultimately be made in a future game update but due to the backlog of fixes needed they can’t say how long it will take to come out (however the task is not time limited). So unfortunately it’s either wait for it to be fixed or use SPs to skip the task.
The makers said they can gift you a teapot that works so I would recommend asking
I’ve continued to play around with this and finally found the ‘Green Tea Set’ worked for me and my SIMs were able to complete the ‘Brew Flower Tea’ task using this item.
The Green Tea Set worked for me. I had a free one in Kitchen Items, and all 5 Sims could brew their Flower Teas from it, one after the other. When the last tea was brewed, it automatically completed the task without waiting 22+ hours. I am so thankful for this forum.
Hello I haven’t got any free templates of the houses or even the option to buy, the only houses there are the normal ones I can build in simstown. Is there a way I can still build the houses even if it’s not for free?
Unfortunately if you didn’t complete the zest zone in the time limit you won’t be able to build these houses.
I noticed tonight when checking for an update in the Google Play Store that it says Palm Promenade ends on 8-7-22. Do you know if it’s true that it won’t be available after August 7th? Also, any idea when the next update will be available? And thanks for all your time and effort maintaining your website.
Palm Promenade definitely won’t be ending then, it will be available until you are ready to complete it
when will i be able to do the Berry Boulevard part? i don’t know how to move on as i’ve done everything but there’s just no more tasks for me to do, and when i click the task icon and then click berry boulevard section on the task bar thing, all it says is “construction site! permission permits are pending – there could be something here to see later.” … any ideas? i don’t know how to move on!
Berry Boulevard is not available yet. Only one sim springs event is added at a time.
I’m guessing that’s not coming out until June 2023. This happened with Sandy Suburbs and Palm Promenade, so it only makes sense that future neighborhoods would be released in consecutive summers.
If you have to buy an extension at the very end does it mean I wont get the template for barter boardwalk? I don’t see it in my houses.
You won’t get the house template if you don’t complete the zest zone in the time limit, as you need to pay then you probably missed a deadline so you won’t get the house template.
I finished the tasks for Barter Boardwalk in Palm Promenade, but it’s not showing for where I can build in a lot. Is it true that if you fall behind you won’t get a template? This was my second fall behind but still got the first three…the boardwalk was one of two I wanted the most. It would really suck if you lose out after having done all that work for nothing.

It doesn’t make sense because I bought an extension before that and still got a template; so I technically DID finish in time. I wasn’t even off by that much, I don’t get it. That was the one I wanted the most because it had shops and I demolished the “shops” I built in the past. I’m not great at designs so it was great seeing a promenade of shops. This sucks 😡
If you missed a deadline but managed to catch up you would get the template but if you don’t then unfortunately you can’t earn the house templates.
I’m sorry, that just doesn’t sit right especially since they do repeats on events and there’s a chance you can get a template you missed; yet for here you lose it for good. It’s all confusing

I finished the barter boardwalk within the time limit but it said they weren’t happy with the progress (whatever that means) and that I’d have to buy a time extension to move on (to the neighborhood tasks). Does anyone know what it means about unhappy with the progress and why I had to buy the extension anyway? I’m very confused.
When they say they are unhappy with the progress it means that you didn’t complete one or more of the days in time.
I’ve just messaged EA, I went to go & build & despite completing the quest & zesty quest I wasn’t awarded the Barter Boardwalk template. I’m not very happy at all. I even took the day off work to finish it. But assumed it would go straight into my house templates. Currently making the town happier. But I’m so disappointed. Your blog is brilliant. Keep up the good work.

Hi, I’ve finished all the daily tasks in Palm Promenade, but I’m stuck on the next bit. I need to get 5 Sims to brew Flower Tea, but they refuse. I’ve tried different kettles, and different surfaces. They just keep refusing. Luckily this doesn’t appear to be a timed event. Any ideas?

To do the flower tea you need to do this task last, you can use a teaset or a kettle. If you put the teaset on a table and move the chairs so the sims can make the tea and then sit down to drink it.
Hopefully this will work for some people, if not they can contact support and they will gift them a teapot that works!
Can you “pause” the game between building the houses in Palm Promenade, or does time just keep going???

Hi. Thanks for all your posts & videos. My question pertains to when tasks are skipped using SP. I skipped a few tasks using SP during the neighborhood tasks sets. I thought once skipped and paying a premium (SP is expensive), the task was done. Instead, I am on the last set of neighborhood tasks and instead of just the 13 tasks shown above, I have 19 as the previously skipped tasks using SP are back. Is this a glitch? I don’t want to spend SP again to skip these tasks. I also don’t want to do them since I already paid to save time to not have to do them. Thank you.
The neighbourhood tasks that require you to place a certain amount of items will appear each time if you haven’t placed those items on the previous set of goals so unfortunately your only options are to use SP again or place those items to complete this.
The 1 star Green Tea Set worked for me! You can use the same tea set if you wait long enough for the sims to receive their tea and sit down. Then another sim is able to use the same tea set. Once they have all received their tea and sat down, the task will complete. I hope this helps! Love this page blog!!!

Deadline extensions don’t work on sim springs events.
I completed Barter Boardwalk in Palm Promenade on time, support has acknowledged that I did indeed complete it on time but I still do not have the template at all for Barter Boardwalk, it’s just not in the list of houses. This is obviously a glitch. I’m really upset since support will do nothing. I feel so cheated because everything was done in time. Please help.

Hopefully, the author of the original post is on Facebook, otherwise she/he is out of luck. If you are not on Facebook you are not provided with a player number. Sims Freeplay/ EA do not seem to be interested in correcting this problem.
This issue isn’t affecting everyone without facebook. I did ask the makers about this but have yet to receive a concrete answer, I have asked again and will let you know on your original comment if I hear anything back.
