Now we have completed Sim Springs we have a brand new but similar event to begin! Rustic Acres is the first neighbourhood in the new Rocky Heights area which will be available from 14th October 2024 (with the Sims and Simsibility Update) The aim of this event is to complete daily tasks to renovate house lots in the new neighbourhood, you will need to have completed the first neighbourhood of Sim Springs: Sandy Suburbs before you can start this one. There is no rush to begin this, it will be available in the future when you are ready to start.

In Rustic Acres there are 4 house lots that need renovating:

Unlike Sim Springs where the final lot was a community lot, all 4 lots in Rustic Acres are house lots.
The lots need to be renovated in the order listed above, you cannot do up more than one lot at a time and the next won’t unlock until the previous one has been completed. The time limit to complete a house is 10 days (14 days for the final lot) with tasks to complete each day in Rocky Heights, similar to Sim Springs Events if you don’t complete in the time limit you will have to pay to be able to move on but there are prizes available, the extra zesty prizes contains a house template that can be placed in Rocky Heights or Simtown.
- Once the first Sim Springs neighbourhood is complete you will be able to build the bus stop in Simtown (next to the Sim Springs bus stop) to begin this event:
- Once you head to Rocky Heights the time limit for the first house will begin (the house is already built)
- You can skip the tutorial if you remember how Sim Springs events work or you can complete the tutorial if you need a recap:

Daily Tasks
- Daily tasks must be completed at Rocky Heights
- You can only complete one task at a time, unless it is a build task (buy items etc) then you can complete at the same time as another task
- You can complete these tasks in any order
- The tasks you need to complete will have the Rocky Heights symbol on them:
- More than one sim can be used for tasks that require multiple sims
- You will need to buy some items such as trees, couches and computers to be able to complete tasks in Rustic Acres, if you have a 3 star item at a house in Simtown you can store it in your inventory and place it in Rustic Acres rather than buying a new one
- Trash cannot be removed until you get the task to remove it
- If you skip using SP on tasks that require you to clear up items it will remove those items
- For tasks that require you to find items in objects if you use social points to quick complete you can find more
- For tasks that require you to spend money you can buy items and then store them, this still counts TIP: I would save building rooms/ basements etc and placing flooring and wallpaper for when you need to spend money
- For tasks that require you to place a certain number of items, if you store one of those items already in the house you will need to buy or replace it. For example, if you need to buy 6 windows and there are 3 there already but you store them all you will need to buy 6 windows rather than buying 3 more
- Investment tasks are like mastery classes in SimChase, the more you spend, the less time it takes to complete
- The lower the star rating, the longer a task will take to complete, I have included this in the tables below
- If sims are inspired they will complete actions faster, I have also included these times in the tables below
- You are aiming to complete the daily tasks within 24 hours, if you take too long you will have to pay to move on
- For tasks that require more than 10 sims to complete at once you can spread them out throughout the houses you have unlocked in Rustic Acres, for example at Maple Grove you need to Watch 13 TVs so you can have 10 sims at Maple Grove and the other 3 in The Orchard or Clover Cottage

This house template is available on a standard and a premium residence under the driveway homes tab (if you build it on the Clover Cottage lot in Rocky Heights you will be building the standard as that lot is 18×18) the first one is free, after this it will cost simoleons depending on how many houses you have already built:

Do I have to use the House Templates given during the event? No, you can keep the house you have been creating during the event but there is always the option to demolish that house and replace it with the template
You don’t have to complete this event in the time limit to unlock the grand prize (your sims can live at Clover Cottage and you also unlock visual upgrades to Rustic Acres) you will get them once the event is complete:

Happiness Level
You will need to complete a certain amount of Neighbourhood tasks to level up the Rocky Heights Happiness:
- Content- 50 Neighbourhood Tasks
- Optimistic- 100 Neighbourhood Tasks
- Exuberant- 150 Neighbourhood Tasks
- Sim-sational- 200 Neighbourhood Tasks
There doesn’t seem to be any rewards for upgrading the Rocky Heights happiness level yet (maybe this will be added with the next neighbourhood!)

The Girl Who Games 
the second site (orchard) requires timed tasks that require more than the lot limits but don’t allow the option to do the action for the previous lot in the new neighborhood. You have to have sims do it in the same lot in multiple shifts which will either miss the deadline or require sp to skip. I was planning on doing all of the lots quickly with sp and I had to stop on the end of the orchard and hope they fix the issue rather than getting stuck on the other lots since the actual prizes are so boring and even the zest prizes are really basic and pointless anyway. It needed the new lots but they made the expansion really boring and useless. Really don’t want the original buildings from the quest so I put others in the lots but they need to stop requiring timed tasks that require 18+ sims and are only available on one lot with a lot max of 13.

The tasks that said anywhere in Rocky Heights did not work anywhere but the orchard days 5 and 6. I’m hoping that the 2 hour tasks for 18 sims will work in clover cottage so they can be done simultaneously. If not this glitch will be frustrating.

For the second and later lots in the new neighborhood, the tasks that require more Sims than you can have on one lot are NOT working on the other neighborhood lots so you can’t have 14 or 22 sims working on the task at once. You have to do multiple shifts of them on the current lot which will prevent completing without penalties and loss of timed rewards.

I am level 65 and can only have 13 Sims per lot. I noticed that some tasks require more Sims and normally I can just have the extra Sims at a different house in the new build area complete the task in question, however with this update that isn’t an option for me. Is this a glitch or is this just favoring players who have high VIP status who can have more Sims on one lot?

Hi, I am doing the Orchard currently. I noticed that when I have a task which says „Do x anywhere I. rustic Acres, up to 17 sims can help“ the task still can only be done at the Orchard house. In lover Cottage, the task is not offered. This means of course that every task that requires more than 13 sims (the top number I can have in any house) has to be done twice and is twice as long. Is this a glitch? Or is this on purpose? It’s pretty annoying!

When doing tasks that should be allowed in a house “anywhere in Rocky Heights” only the current house at the Orchard allows sims to do the task such as find socks. The other house does not. This seems problematic for completing a four hour task because 17 sims need to complete it. I think there is a programming flaw

Hi, just passing along several of us are having an issue with being unable to go back to Clover Cottage to get more Sims complete tasks, as described below and which always worked in the other new neighborhoods. If we attempt to go back to a completed house, then that special option (such as nuturing plants) is not an option in the previously-completed house.
Specifically, I had my max 13 Sims in one house, The Orchard, completing the nuture plants chore. It required 17 Sims to complete, but when I went back to Clover Cottage and added 4 additional Sims, that option did not generate on the menu when I clicked on any plants to nuture. (I know they were eligible plants, because the Sims in The Orchard got the option.)
Anyway, I and another player submitted ingame requests for help. I received one reply from ingame help telling me to send a screenshot, which I did, but have heard nothing further.
I hope they correct soon. If not, it will derail completion of the entire Rustic Acres, without spending hundreds of points to quick complete. So far (I’m on Day 9), I have had Sims complete the tasks in the one house under renovation, but I have to put them through it twice. When these multi-Sims tasks exceed 12 hours and they have to be completed twice, it will stop the progress.
Sorry for the rambling post – very frustrated the first day this happened, but then I found on the EA forums other people are having the issue.

This, below, is what I was referring to, that is impossible to do in Rustic Acres:
For tasks that require more than 10 sims to complete at once you can spread them out throughout the houses you have unlocked in Rustic Acres, for example at Maple Grove you need to Watch 13 TVs so you can have 10 sims at Maple Grove and the other 3 in The Orchard or Clover Cottage

In Sandy suburbs, when you got a task that required more sims that could be on a lot, you were able to use two lots to complete the task. I don’t seem to be bale to do that with Rocky Heights. For example, I need 18 sims to complete a task, I can use 13 on the orchard, but I cant use 5 in clover cottage to complete. Is this the same for anyone else?

You only need to have completed the first neighbourhood of sim springs to begin this one.
in Rocky Heights, I can’t go pass Apathetic for happiness level; am I missing something?
You won’t be able to increase the happiness level until they add a new area to Rocky Heights.
