How do I visit neighbours? Check out this post!

My neighbours don’t have an item I need, what do I do?You could find a neighbour to add on the neighbours needed page on this site or skip the goal with LPs.

How do I skip a social task with LPs? If you cannot complete a task and you want to skip it, click on the task in your active tasks tab and then click on the orange button next to the task, it will ask if you want to skip the task. It will cost 10LP to skip a task:

I don’t want to add neighbours! Is there another way to earn social points? Yes, you can earn SP by completing Live Events too but these events aren’t always available, you can also use the social point flower but this will cost you 20LP. Completing social tasks means you can earn more SP although sometimes the rewards are only XP

My neighbour added something to their town for me to complete a social task but I can’t find it! Why? To see the latest version of your neighbours town they will need to Save to the Cloud and then you will be able to find the item and complete the task

I don’t have any neighbours! Can I complete tasks in Another Simtown, the default neighbourhood? Yes you can but it is really lacking in a lot of items so you won’t be able to complete every social task there, this post shows you what you can find in Another Simtown

The Sims Freeplay- Items Needed To Create The Best Social Tasks House!

Do you often visit a neighbours town and you cannot find the items you need to complete social tasks in one place? This post will stop you being that neighbour and instead be able to create a house full of all the social items needed so you can become the best neighbour in simtown!

find my list of Social Tasks here

The house ideally needs to be at least 2 storys so you can add a firepole

Garden Items:

  • A pool with an inflatable pool toy and a diving board
  • A pool for your neighbours to clean (doesn’t have to be a dirty pool)

TIP: I think its best to have 2 pools, one clean and one dirty so if your neighbour is looking to swim they don’t have to clean the pool first

  • Poolside Recliner
  • Sleeping Bag
  • Garden Patch to plant:

TIP: again you could have two garden patches, one that they can use to plant and the other one with a sim eating plant that they can negotiate with it (grow lettuce until it turns into a sim eating plant)

Pets:

  • A Cat
  • A Dog and a Frisbee

Main Career and Hobby Items (these can be brought from the promotions r us store once they have been unlocked):

  • Auction Podium
  • Guitar
  • Easel
  • Telescope
  • Camera
  • Soccer Ball
  • Fashion Studio
  • Fire Hydrant
  • Mirror
  • Woodworking Bench

I’m not sure exactly how many of the hobbies appear in social tasks so I’ve only listed the most commonly asked for hobby items here but I would recommend you have all the hobby items you can in this one house. My house below is still a working progress, each time I unlock a new hobby I add that item to the house, some may not be needed to complete tasks but they will be helpful for neighbours completing time limited hobby events!

  •  Haunted Items– for the ghost hunting hobby (these can be found in buy mode, look for the red ghost symbol!)

img_7640

Other Important Items:

  • Car
  • Teen Study Desk
  • Preteen Bookshelf
  • MP3 Player
  • Magazines
  • BBQ
  • Foosball Table (although there is one in Another Simtown!)
  • Trampoline
  • Phone
  • TV
  • Stereo
  • Computer
  • Toddler Building Blocks
  • Bookcase
  • Toilet
  • Sink
  • Shower
  • Bed
  • Wardrobe
  • Sofa
  • Chair
  • Bath
  • Coffee Machine
  • Teapot
  • Fridge
  • Oven:

TIP: It is best to have 2 ovens, a normal one so your neighbours can bake items and the other one that is on fire (cook brownies until they cause a fire so your neighbours can extinguish it)

Also its great if you have some places in your town such as The Mall, Community CenterCampgrounds and Snow Park built!

What about a pet farm? When it was possible to have more than 2 pets in a house some players created pet farms which neighbours like to visit to find treasure from these pets quickly, it isn’t possible to make one anymore.

Once you have finished editing your house you will need to Save to the Cloud so your neighbours can see the changes you have made.

The Sims Freeplay- Visiting Neighbours

This is just a quick post to show you how a sim visits a neighbours house.

You need to be level 9 before you can start social tasks and access the party boat

Click on the world symbol (flashes to a gift) to access the party boat:

1- It is a good idea to have a look at your active goal tab to find out what goal you need to do at a neighbours before you send anyone there, you don’t want to waste time sending an adult when a preteen needs to do the goal.

2- Click on the party boat and find the neighbour you want to visit and click on visit

image3- Select the sim you want to send there, only a sim who isn’t busy can go

  1. Only one sim can visit a neighbour at once
  2. You can only visit one neighbour at a time
  3. Babies and Toddlers cannot visit neighbours

image4- Set your sim on the action to complete the social tasks goal, this will be the only active task you can see while at a neighbours house (I am currently working on a list of social tasks)

5- You can now leave your sim at the neighbours town and go back to yours (as long as they are busy) click the green world symbol with the arrow

image6- And they will show up first on your simtracker back home, there you can click on them to go back to your neighbours

image7- When your sim has finished the task you can send them home by either using the green world symbol again or by using the house with the arrow in it symbol on the simtracker

image

They will go home on their own when you go back to the neighbours town to see them when they finish a task if they have been in a neighbours town too long

(they will stay there about a day unless they are busy or you don’t check on them, then they will stay longer)

NOTE: your neighbour won’t even know you have visited them, any action you do in their town will not affect their game

Help! My neighbours can’t see an item in my town, why is that?

They can’t see it because they aren’t seeing the most up to date version of your game, you need to connect to the cloud for them to see this version of your game.

Do you have a list of Social Tasks? Yes, you can find that post here!

Unsure of how to add neighbours? or Need more neighbours?

or Unsure what items you need in your town for neighbours?

Only have access to Another Sim Town? Find out what it contains here!

Can’t see any neighbours in your party boat after adding to Facebook using android?
