THIS EVENT IS OVER

Did you miss out on items such as washing machines, dryers and ironing boards last time this event was available? Good news, its back again for 6 days! Complete this event to unlock those and other highly requested items.

This event is only here for 6 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event

NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

Can’t find your arts and crafts stations? Click on the craft station in your event tab to get the option to find your station, it will take you to the house where your stations can be found!

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the scissors event button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the gurgle free sinks! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SPs or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the gurgle free sinks (click on the scissor event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the scissor event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus gems as well if you speed it up!

Restocking

Each station (apart from the first candle one) comes with a stock of 9 which means you can use the station 9 times before it needs to be restocked (if you got your stations out of your inventory they will all need restocking first (apart from the first candle one)) When you need to restock you will have two options:

Restock 18 uses which happens instantly but will cost you 10SPs

Restock 9 uses which will take you 2 hours 30 minutes but will be free

NOTE:

if you store the station you will lose all the stock so when you place it again you will need to restock
if you cancel making something using a station you will lose that stock so if you had one stock left and then you cancelled that action you would need to restock before you can create anymore arts and crafts items

Your Progress:

Click the scissor button in the top corner of your game to see your progress

Daily Goals

Check on the first tab every day because if you complete all the daily goals you will get additional constructor coins

NOTE: remember to click CLAIM once you have completed a daily goal to collect the reward and remember to claim your free constructor coins and free items each day!

Prize Progress

The prize progress is how far you have got on this event, the more arts and crafts items you make the more prizes you will unlock

NOTE: the bar at the top of the personal progress tab shows you how close you are to unlocking an item, the more arts and crafts items you collect the more the bar will fill up. Once you have unlocked an item on the bar at the top you will be able to use the arts and crafts items you have collected and constructor coins to purchase that pack which you will then be able to find in the home store.

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

What is the minimum and maximum amount of coins you can earn on the mega spin plant? The minimum is 10 and the maximum is 500

Now on the coin flower patch you can see the chances of getting the different combinations on each spin plant, click on the green i button to see:

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles, 300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.

Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future.

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.

The Sims Freeplay- Groovers ‘N’ Movers Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

This event unlocks activewear outfits for your adult sims! You have 7 days to complete the aerobics hobby collection 7 times, each time you complete the collection you unlock a new activewear outfit for male adults and female adults.

If you completed this event last time you won’t get it again, if you started it last time you will start from where you got to, for example if you completed the collection 3 times last time you will have to complete it 4 times this time to unlock all the outfits.

If you haven’t completed the A Grooving Guru Quest yet you will not be able to complete this hobby event as you will not have access to the Aerobics Hobby yet

If you have completed the quest you will get a pop up to accept this event, it will remove the aerobic moves you have already created from the collection so you don’t get a head start.
If you say no you can start it from the active tasks tab, you will not get any extra time if you start this late.

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one sim working on it, you can buy up to 14 aerobic steps from the promotions r us store and you can also use the one at the health hub so 15 sims can complete this hobby at once (see the Aerobics post for more information)

-if you don’t already have a sim at level 6 then do the longest option until they level up- they level up quickly in this hobby so it won’t take very long! You need to have a sim at level 6 to find all the moves to complete the collection (if you have previously completed the collection you do not need to get another sim to level 6 to complete this)

-remember to click start new collection on the aerobics hobby collections list once you have got all the moves

-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.

The Sims Freeplay- Teen Life Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

The teen life event is back again but it’s only here for 7 days, you will need at least one teenager in your town to be able to participate in this event!

To get all 7 teen furniture and hairstyle packs you need to complete the teen idol hobby collection 7 times. You get a new pack each time you complete it, once you unlock a pack you get to keep it even if you don’t find them all.

If you completed this event last time you will not get it again, if you found some packs last time you won’t need to find those ones again, for example, if you unlocked 5 packs last time you will only have to complete the collection twice this time to finish the event.

NOTE: you need to have completed The Road To Fame Quest AND have a teenage sim to be able to start this event

You are completing the Teen Idol hobby so will need to buy teen idol instruments from the teen section of the home store, click here to read the Teen Idol hobby post

You need to firstly accept this quest, it will remove the teen idol notes you have already created from the collection so you don’t get a head start.

If you say no you can start it from the goal tab

Once you have said yes you now need to complete the collection 7 times in 7 days!

NOTE: you can have up to 5 teens completing this event!

NOTE: YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL FIVE ROWS TO GET ONE PACK!!

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one teen working on it- you can have a maximum of 5
-it is easier if you have all the sims in one house, maybe build a room for them so they are all together but you don’t have to!

-you don’t have to level up for this hobby you just need to find all 3 notes on each instrument:

first row- keyboard notes (1 hour, 54 minutes or 48 minutes)
second row- bass guitar notes (2 hours, 1 hour 50 minutes, 1 hour 40 minutes)
third row- drum kit notes (3 hours, 2 hours 40 minutes, 2 hours 20 minutes)
fourth row- electric guitar notes (4 hours, 3 hours 40 minutes, 3 hours 10 minutes)
fifth row- microphone notes (5 hours, 4 hours 30 minutes, 4 hours)

SELECT THE WRITE NOTES OPTION ON AN INSTRUMENT

To complete quicker have one teen on each instrument if you can! You can buy 1, 2 or 3 star instruments, if you buy the 3 star instruments you can find the notes quicker.

-remember to click start new collection on the teen idol hobby collections list once you have got all the pieces
-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.

The Sims Freeplay- Sassy Stockings Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

A brand new hobby event has begun, complete this event in the 7 day time limit to unlock 12 pairs of stockings, you unlock 2 styles of the stockings each time you complete the fashion designer hobby collection so you will need to complete the collection 6 times to unlock all the stockings. If you have never done the fashion designer hobby click here for details.

You need to buy a fashion studio from the promotions r us store to complete this hobby

You need to firstly accept this event, it will remove the fashion designs you have already created from the collection so you don’t get a head start.

If you say no you can start it from the active tasks tab, you will not get any extra time if you start this late.

If you already have a sim as a level 6 fashion designer (or previous have) then you will complete this a lot quicker as you aren’t waiting for all the designs to become unlocked.
It is really helpful to have loads of sims doing the hobby, and have them doing the 10 minute option over and over if possible!

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL FOUR ROWS TO GET TWO PAIRS OF STOCKINGS!!

12 FASHION ITEMS= 2 STOCKINGS

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one sim working on it
-it is easier if you have all the sims in one house, maybe build a room for them so they are all together but you don’t have to!
-if you can, do the 10 minute option over and over, you will find the most designs this way (once you have a sim at level 6)

The Sims Freeplay- Night of the Candy Monsters Quest

THIS EVENT IS OVER

Once you update your game to the Brilliant Backyard Update you can complete this Player Favourite Event* in the 9 day time limit to unlock the Halloween costume packs, each set of goals unlocks a new costume pack

*What are Player Favourite Events? These are events or quests you opt in to complete for a second chance to complete them, you will be able to start these within an open period date if you haven’t completed it already. These are optional so you will need to click on the green play button next to the title of the event in the active tasks tab to start:

If you completed this quest before you won’t be able to complete it again, if you started it but didn’t finish it last time you will have to start from the beginning again unfortunately

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

First set: Complete the first set of goals to unlock the Fawn and Reanimated costume set for adults

Browse for a costume- 48 seconds (computer)

Call a costume store- 4 minutes (phone)
Go to the park
Approach the purple monster- 3 seconds

Hide at the park- 2 hours 20 minutes (bench)

Talk to Misty in the park- 5 minutes

Watch the Halloween news- 10 hours (TV)
Talk to Misty again- 25 minutes
Practice scaring a sim- 1 second (select interaction between two sims)

Build courage- 7 hours 30 minutes (chair)

Collect candy pieces (5 pieces)- 5 hours 30 minutes (click on purple candy monster, you can get more than one candy piece each time you do this and more than one sim can do this at once- I had to close the game and open it again for the other 4 monsters to appear)

Wait for Xhours Xminutes (time depends on when you completed the first set) NOTE: you can skip this for 10LP to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Second set: Complete the second set of goals to unlock the Astronaut costume set for toddlers

Form a party plan- 5 minutes (interaction between two sims)

Send Halloween invitations- 12 minutes (computer)
Ask Misty for advice- 7 hours 30 minutes
Practice scaring- 1 second
Show off scaring skills- 7 hours 30 minutes (Misty)

Scare the orange candy monster- 1 second

Pout on a seat- 7 hours 30 minutes
Ask Misty what happened- 25 minutes
Collect candy pieces- 4 hours 30 minutes each (you need to collect 30 pieces- you find 2 each time so you need to scare 15 purple monsters to complete this goal- I had to do this in 3 sets because only so many appeared each time, if you can’t find enough close your game and open it again to see if more appear, if they still don’t you may have to wait a few minutes)

Wait for Xhours Xminutes (time depends on when you completed the first set) NOTE: you can skip this for 10LP to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Third set: Complete the third set of goals to unlock the wild Unicorn and Lion costume set for Preteens

Tell others about costumes- 4 minutes (computer)
Think of a solution- 6 hours (chair)
Take funny selfies- 1 hour 30 minutes (click on a sim)

Email selfies- 16 minutes (computer)
Joke with a sim- 5 minutes (select interaction between two sims)

Have nightmares- 7 hours 30 minutes (bed)

Collect candy pieces- 3 hours 30 minutes (110 candy pieces this time?!) TIP: You get up to 5 candy pieces each time but if you wait for the time to reach 1h 59m you can use 1LP to speed up each and get 5 candy pieces!
Wait for Xhours Xminutes (time depends on when you completed the first set) NOTE: you can skip this for 10LP to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Fourth set: Complete the fourth set of goals to unlock the Fairy and Scarecrow costume set for Teens

Ask about Halloween Party needs- 5 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
Check for food supplies-8 minutes (fridge)

Make something roasted pumpkin flavoured- 7 hours (BBQ)

Buy a stereo
Turn on the stereo
Listen to spooky music- 5 hours
Ask Misty what to do-8 hours 30 minutes
Collect candy pieces- 2 hours 30 minutes (225!) TIP: You get 2 or 3 candy pieces each time but if you wait for the time to reach 1h 59m you can use 1LP to speed up each and get 6 candy pieces!
Wait for Xhours Xminutes (time depends on when you completed the first set) NOTE: you can skip this for 10LP to start on the next set of goals early. You will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal.

Fifth set: Final set- unlocks the rest of the costumes (two more for each life stage except babies and seniors)

Show Misty scaring skills- 5 minutes
Send a sim to the park
Scare the orange monster- 2 hours 30 minutes
Hide behind a park bench- 2 hours
Talk to Misty- 9 hours 30 minutes (at park)
Place candy on the ground- 4 hours 30 minutes (X at a house)

Send a sim to the park
Distract the orange candy monster- 6 hours 30 minutes
Place candy around the orange monster- 1 hour 30 minutes (on an x, only one sim needs to do this)
