     • I love your posts; always so helpful! Just wanna mention. I am only level 40 and didn’t have up to 28 Sims; I believe it may be different depending on the level you are but I didn’t have to spend nearly as many lifepoints and didn’t have to use as many Sims. I’m on the 12th day now and I already spent a good portion of LPs so I look forward to getting this template. Thanks for the help!! Without this post I wouldn’t have known to keep up on my cooking hobby (SO MANY LPS NEEDED AHH)

     • You’re very welcome, I’m glad the cooking hobby is working for you! It does seem to differ depending on the level you are on, 28 sims is the max you would need if you were at the highest level in the game.

   • Hi! I just got the new update and I found a gift box on my sims lot. I tried open it but it said that I had to move it in build mode. I can’t move it! Please help!

     • You’re welcome, I’m glad it helps 🙂 Can you find the gift box at a different house? You may want to try and open it there, also it might help to have a sim standing right next to the box before you click on it to open it.

   If I complete the hearth of stone quest will I get the 2 story lake house if I haven’t done the multi story renovations quest yet?

     • This is a known glitch which should be fixed by the next update

4. Sorry, I know I posted this comment, but it was in the wrong blog post!
   You said that we need to wait a certain amt. of time before being able to start on another day’s quest, unless we are behind, then we’ll start straight away. I will be on a field trip where I can’t bring electronics for 5/13 days of the quest– (using lots of LP) could I theoretically complete 5 days’ worth of tasks in the remaining 8 days? Or would I just have to miss out on the 5 prizes? Thanks!

   • Yes you could complete 5 days worth of in 8 days (if you save up your LP now!) as each day has to be completed before you can move onto the next.

     • Is there no way to speed up the picking spices? No way I can complete that with 1 sim repeating it over and over and I can’t use that many of my life points… help! I really want the house

     • You can use more than one sim at a time, just find the plants around your sims houses to get this option.

5. How many sims would you recommend having in order to actually finish the last set on time? I only have 8 adults right now.

   • I think the best thing to do would be if possible have as many sims completing the cooking hobby during the other days to earn 5LP each time you complete it to earn enough to skip at least one of these, this post explains all about how the cooking hobby works if you need more information: https://thegirlwhogames.blog/2015/01/14/the-sims-freeplay-how-do-i-have-so-many-lps/ I doubt many people have 28 adult sims in their town so this is what I will be doing.

     • do they all need to be adults or do senior/ teen sims work tooV

     • Teens and seniors work too.

     • It doesn’t need to be Adults, also Seniors an Teenagers can do the tasks in this quest!

     • I know, I still don’t have 28 adult/senior/teenage sims though

     Quick question: how do I skip a task on this quest? The option doesn’t appear for me like it does with the social tasks.

     • I’m glad it helps, unfortunately you can’t skip all tasks in this quest like you can with social and weekly tasks, the only ones you can skip are the ones that require more than one sim to complete them.

6. Would I be able to build this house if I haven’t done the cars on lots/in garages quest thing yet?

   • Yes you will still be able to build this house

7. Hi! I will like to ask, as I haven’t start patio discovery quest, so if assuming that I can finish all and unlock the above, will I still get get the patio/Balcony Paving prize when I finish the discovery quest at a later date? Because I just finish most of the main quest. Thanks in advance!

   • Yes you will find these pavings in the home store once you have completed the quests

     • Anyone else having problems with professional workplaces during this quest? The exchange bit on all professional workplaces doesn’t open since this quest started so I can’t complete the market place quests!

     • The makers are aware of this issue and are working on a fix but until then if you still have workstations to upgrade you should be able to click on the upgrade arrows to access the workplaces tab that usually appears in the corner, if not you might just need to wait until the Christmas quest is over before you can access the workplace tab.

   • It frustrates me so much how impossible the last day is. I do not have 28 sims (18 but 2 are not adults) so there is no way for me to complete the final day. I was so excited about this quest but now I don’t even want to try know that it is literally impossible to do the final day.

     • I agree, they have made it really difficult.    • It probably just didn’t start that early, you should be able to start it now

10. Hello I haven’t got quest for the lake side mansion

    • It has started so it may have been that it hadn’t started when you checked, if you still haven’t got this quest you may need to go to the App Store and update your game first.

11. I’m doing this right now and I’ve gotten to the place four Christmas decorations but it isn’t showing any in my home store! I checked the featured and the decorations section! What do I do?

    • How strange, does it say sale on top of the store tabs? These are the ones that contain the holiday themed items.

    • I’m on day 4 and have went to the nightclub to convince Santa to leave and he’s not there. Anyone else having an issue?

      • He should be on the simtracker, if you click on him you will go to where he is and then you can go back to the nightclub and he should be there

      • For some reason he didn’t even appear in my list of sims. I managed it eventually though. I had to back up my game, uninstall it and restore everything before he appeared. Thanks for your reply 🙂

12. I am wondering how to access my workplace overview/storage/resource exchange while the Hearth of Stone quest is going on. There is only one button (for the quest) in the upper left when I’m at the police station or hospital or movie studio – usually there are two options, one for the special event and one for the workplace tabs. This seems like a glitch – should I report this, or will it get fixed in a future update? Thanks! 🙂

    • It should open out when you click on the button in the corner and show you all the events etc

      • I am having the same issue when I send my sims to their workplace. The tab in the top right corner will not expand to show the workplace resource. I need to sell some resources but when I tap it, nothing happens. I tried it at both the police station and the movie studio.

      • It seems there is a glitch where some players can’t expand the button, the makers are aware of this issue and are working on a fix but until then if you still have workstations to upgrade you should be able to click on the upgrade arrows to access the workplaces tab that usually appears in the corner, if not you might just need to wait until the Christmas quest is over before you can access the workplace tab.

13. If I don’t finish the previous sets of goals, can I still get the lake house if I only do the 13th set?

    • You have to complete the previous set of goals before you can move onto the next set so you can only do the 13th set when the rest of the sets have been completed.

14. Love the info’s provided however I’ve being wondering regarding some of the task given. For example Day 5 prepare christmas cookies 14 times, Day 7 pick fresh spices 17 times, Day 11 annoy Cirrus 16 times. Is it possible to have more then 1 sim to perform the action? or only 1?
    And as a new player to the game, I currently only have 19 sims and I was wondering if I’m able to complete some of the tasks that requires more then 20 sims?

    • You can use as many sims as you have available to complete these tasks otherwise you won’t be able to complete it in the time if you just use one sim, if you do have a few spare sims I would recommend completing the cooking hobby over and over to earn enough LP in case you need to use LP to skip these tasks that require too many sims, this post explains how that works: https://thegirlwhogames.blog/2015/01/14/the-sims-freeplay-how-do-i-have-so-many-lps/

15. Hi! I completed day 2 yesterday around 7pm. The timer then said I would be able to start day 3 at 8am this morning, but when I tried to just now the timer told me I still have to wait for 12 more hours! I am really frustrated! Is this a glitch? Thanks for your help!

    • Try force closing the game, maybe restart your device too and try again, it may just be that the timer is stuck and a restart should fix it.

16. On day 12 it says to send 25 apology examples. Is that 1 Sim sending all 25 in the 5 hours or is it 1 Sim sending 1 example every 5 hours? In other words, do I just use the 1 Sim or do I need more?

    • You need to do it 25 times so it’s best to use as many sims as possible at the same time, if you tried using only one sim you wouldn’t complete it in time.

17. Day 3 Hearth of stone I did the extra hot coffee amount of times required at the end of the time I had to do two again using LP also Watch next season I did it didn’t work had to use LP to complete is there a glitch

    • I had the same issue with the next season one, I put my sim on to complete it and when I came back 3 hours later she wasn’t even near the tv so that might be a glitch

18. Just a detail to fix, when it says ‘have 12 sims complain about Santa’, for me I only needed 7 sims to do it.

    • Maybe it varies depending on the level you are on as I definitely needed 12 sims to complete this today.

19. I like this quest, it’s not impossible to complete and the house template is adorable.

20. Here’s a tip: when you’re completing a task that others can join in, have as many join as possible, to maximize your chance of getting an ad that let’s Osiris auto-complete the task. During one of the “watch TV with Santa” tasks, I had 9 other sims come over to the crowd around the TV. When the last one joined, an ad started, and it said Osiris would auto-complete, and the quest moved on to the next task. Saved me a few hours!

21. Sorry if this is a silly question, but do we have to complete the daily set tasks by midnight or are we given a full 24 hours? I’m not sure as I’ve always managed to complete them by the evening but I’ve stumbled across your blog and day 13 looks really challenging! Thanks in advance

    • You have the full 24 hours but you can take longer on every day apart from the final day you will just be behind in the quest and won’t get the waiting time. But you will need to complete the final day in the time you have left (see the timer on the quest goals) to earn the Lakehouse.

    Where do I find the lake house if I have left it?

    • You can find the sleigh at the park to get back to the lake house.

23. How do I thave the additional 16 people “pick fresh spices”. I am not seeing an option to purchase 16 more potted herbs..

    • Click on trees and plants around your sims houses to get the option.

24. I’m to the point where you have to pick fresh spices. Do you have to pick the chili peppers? I am very confused.

    • No, you need to click on plants around your sims houses to get this option, the picture in the post shows you how to do this.

25. Fingers crossed that I’ll need fewer than 28 sims on the last day. I’ve noticed that the requirements have been less for me, such as bake 10 cookies instead of 14, and gather 12 spices instead of 17. Maybe because I’m lower level?

    • I think it does vary by the level you are on so hopefully you won’t need as many as those of us who are at level 55.

26. In the later days when we need lots of sims to complete actions (like 28 on the last day), will preteens be able to help?
    If I complete the action with 25 sims instead of 28, will I need fewer LP to complete the last 3?

    • Preteens can’t, only teenagers, adults and seniors can complete these tasks and yes, the amount of LP you need will reduce with each sim that completes the task.

27. Can you use time extensions with this quest?

    • Unfortunately time extensions cannot be used on this quest

28. I just started playing after a few years away (LOL)
    When the quest says 13 days to complete, does that mean I had 13 days from December 12th or 13 days from whenever I started the quest? I just re-installed the game yesterday and today is December 20th. Should I even bother with this quest? Yes I know you can unlock furniture but with all the trouble I would like to unlock everything (including house).

      • Thanks for the reply! I figured it would come down to “To Pay or Not To Pay” with finishing this quest on time, LOL. Strangley enough when I logged into my account/save from the cloud, I already have 297 LP. Trying to decide if I wanna use it for this or not.

29. Why can’t the Expresso machines at the coffee shop be used to defrost coffee? The option comes up but I got blue footprints and if I selected another option like tend coffee machine it worked. Just annoyed it would have saved me from buying a couple of coffee makers.

    • It might be that there isn’t a chair for them to sit down on after they have used the coffee machine, I had this issue using the regular coffee machine, I placed a chair for one sim and that worked, the others it worked without placing another chair once I tried again but it might have been that they wanted to use the same chair that another sim was walking towards already.

30. Hello! Just a tip… multiple sims can use one coffee machine! I figured this out after I bought 22 coffee machines. Oh well!

    • I just figured that out too, be careful though, blue footprints tend to appear when you use the same one so make sure you go back and check that they are actually completing the action.

      • I checked mine multiple times during the task to make sure they were still performing the task, but even on the one where I had 22 different coffee pots some of the Sims showed the feet instead of completing the task at the end of the 3 hours. 😦

Yay- super happy with my progress so far as I’ve got up to the eighth set- and I might get the ninth- within the time limit and I’m only level 10- about level 8 at the beginning- and I’ve been doing this along side the main quests and I’ve completed the main quests in the time limits and before I level up- so j get a break in between. Thanks for your blog as it allows me to prepare for the quests

32. I’m stuck on the 12th Day quest where I need to talk to Pepper the Elf. She’s stuck under the hillside and my Sim can’t reach her. Even when I click on her action bubble, nothing happens (yes, I’m using an adult Sim). Restarting the game/my phone hasn’t fixed it.

    • Does anything happen when you click on Pepper on the simtracker?

33. I’m on the 12th set of goals and am stuck on “talk to Pepper”.

    Pepper is in an area of the lot that none of my sims can get to, so when I click on the “cloud” on top of Pepper, nothing happens! Pepper looks to be half buried in the snow! Help!

    • Does anything happen when you click on Pepper on the simtracker?

34. So I have 4 hours before I can start day 13. Can I start doing some of the task a little ahead of time that require multiple sims?

    • Unfortunately none of these tasks can be started early

37. Thanks for the post. My game only updated 2 days ago when I turned on the Wi-Fi. The remaining time for the quest was 2 days. I thought that the quest was going to be short for the 2 days duration. Only after careful reading on comments here that I realized I missed out the rest 10 days because the game did not update much earlier. I did the quest in 2 days (I just have to get the house, it looks so amazing!) ! Heavily referring to your post, and working crazily to collect Lps from cooking hobby. Managed to finish with only 4 minutes remaining! This is the first time I played crazily day and night for this game. Thanks to you!!

38. My game is updated but nothing has shown up for me to even start it

    • This quest is now over, it finished on the 24th December.
