Main/Progression Quests have to be completed in the order they appear on this page, even if you are on a high enough level to unlock another one, the previous quest has to be completed first.

Frequently Asked Questions about Main Quests

I have missed a main quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in the order they appear in this post

Can I complete a main quest even though I am passed the level it unlocks at?
Yes, it will start automatically once previous quests have been completed

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish a main quest?
Yes you have to finish it before you can move onto the next quest

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete a quest in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one

What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work

Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal

Some times are really off/ different goals show for me, why is this?
This will be because the quest has been updated recently, I try my best to keep the posts up to date but it is difficult as I cannot redo every quest each time the game is updated. If you notice any changes please let me know so I can update the post

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 24 UNLOCKS: bird feeding hobby TIME LIMIT: 4 days PRIZE: pet bird

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE SENIORS QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
This quest unlocks the bird feeding hobby for senior sims (you don’t need a senior to complete these goals, an adult can complete them) If you complete this quest in the time limit you unlock the parrot on a perch. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the bird feeding hobby but you won’t get the pet bird

Times may vary depending on the star rating the item has.

  • Search a tree at a house for birds- 3 minutes 30 seconds

  • Read birdhouse illustrated magazine- 8 minutes (stack of magazines can be found in the living room section of buy mode)

  • Pick seeds- 1 day (plant)
  • Wash seeds in sink- 10 hours
  • Throw seeds at park water fountain- 6 minutes

  • Throw seeds at swim center- 6 minutes

  • Search a tree at the swim center for birds- 16 hours 30 minutes

  • Call a friend- 4 minutes
  • Watch Osiris with a telescope in the park- 7 minutes

  • Watch news on TV- 4 minutes
  • Be nice to a sim- 1 minute
  • Go bird spotting on a park bench- 22 hours

You can now complete the Bird Feeding Hobby

Time Limited Prize: Parrot on a Perch

Is the prize worth it? It’s a good idea to have one for when you have to complete life dreams in future (but if you don’t complete in time you can win another caged bird by completing the hobby itself)

You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 24 before you can start this quest

Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically

Does a senior have to complete these goals?
No, an adult can

I can’t place the magazines in my house, why?
You need to put them on a table or counter, you cannot place them on the floor

My sims won’t read the magazine, help!
Do blue footprints appear? Read the answer below

Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it

What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it

Homer is the starting character of the Simpsons Tapped out, you don’t need to unlock him, he is the main reason for the game, he destroys Springfield so you have to rebuild it!

Break into the Brown House and watch TV- 3 mins (needs brown house)

Walk maggie- 8 hrs

Eat at skips diner- 4 hrs (needs skips diner)
Take a nap- 6 hrs (needs bench)
Feed the birds- 8 hrs (needs bench)
Babysit bart and lisa- 12hrs (needs simpsons house)
Walk around thinking its 1953- 24hrs (needs retirement castle)

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 23 UNLOCKS: seniors TIME LIMIT: 4 days PRIZE: exercise bike

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE GHOST HUNTERS QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
Once you have completed this quest you will be able to age your adult sims to seniors. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the exercise bike. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the ability to age your adult sims but you won’t get the exercise bike
HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

  • Send a sim to the swim center
  • Feed the pigeons- 2 seconds

  • Investigate pigeons- 2 minutes

  • Wait for a senior on a park bench- 2 minutes 42 seconds

  •  Investigate the door in the park- 10 seconds

  • Welcome senior sim- 5 seconds

  • Talk to senior- Be nice- 1 minute
  • Stand on the x- 4 seconds

  • Complain to a senior- 1 minute
  • Warn simanity on a soap box- 19 hours

  • Complain to a senior- 1 minute
  • Be nice to future self- 1 minute
  • Search garbage for cupcake (kick over trash can first- 2 seconds) 30 seconds

Go to the swim center and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker, this post explains more about the simtracker

I don’t have the option to feed or investigate the pigeons, why?
Make sure you using an adult sim

How do I search garbage for a cupcake?
Kick over the trash can first then you will get the option

I can’t afford the bingo hall, how can I earn more simoleons?

Can I build the bingo hall early?
No, you have to wait until you get the goal in the quest before you can build the bingo hall
