LIFE DREAMS AND LEGACIES QUEST – BEACH: SURFING KIOSK – TEENS AND ADULTS SIMS – PRIZES: SURF VAN AND 5LP

Once you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest you will be able to use orbs to build the Beach, once the Beach is built you need orbs to build the surfing kiosk (4 Bronze Sporty Orbs and 1 Silver Sporty Orb) before your teen and adult sims can complete this hobby.

Once built a teen or adult sim can surf using the first board:

Surf on Wakebaker Board- 3 hours

Once you find all 3 surf boards on the first option you will unlock surf on tooth chipper board to find those 3 boards, once you find those 3 you will unlock the coconut buster board to find those 3 and then you will unlock the sharkbaiter board to find the next 3 and then you will unlock the bodhi board to find those 3 and unlock the final board, boogaloo board to find the last 3 boards and complete the collection:

Surf on Tooth Clipper Board- 4 hours
Surf on Coconut Buster Board- 5 hours
Surf on Sharkbaiter Board- 6 hours
Surf on Bodhi Board- 7 hours
Surf on Boogaloo Board- 9 hours

NOTE: only one sim can do this hobby at a time.

Once you complete the collection for the first time you can use the boards in any order but you will still need to do each option to find the different items to complete each row

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the surfing collectibles in that row. You still level up in this hobby but the hobby level up percentage isn’t important as the surfing collectibles don’t unlock depending on your level, when you finish one row of surfing collectibles you will unlock the ability to find the boards in the next row using the next board.

The table below shows you the level up reward that your sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

You won’t find a new collectible each time, you will get repeats, if this happens just keep going, you will find them eventually! If it is still taking too long you can use the lucky spin on the row where you cannot find the item, this will cost LPs, when you click on the LP button it will clear the row and give you a random collectible on that row so you aren’t guaranteed a new item (you will get back any other collectibles you already had in that row) Need to earn some LPs to use the lucky spin?

The completed surfing collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):

The first time you complete this hobby every row you complete you unlock a new board to find more collectibles. After the first time you will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 18 of the collectibles

The rewards for completing this collection are the surf van and 5LP:

The first time you complete the surfing hobby you unlock the surf van, which you can buy for 20LP from the car dealership:

From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 5LP

LIFE DREAMS AND LEGACIES QUEST – CARNIVAL: JUGGLING STAGE – TEEN AND ADULT SIMS – PRIZES: CLOWN SHOES, FACE PAINT AND 3LP

Once you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest you will be able to use orbs to build the Carnival, once the Carnival is built one of your teen or adult sims will be able to complete this hobby on the juggling stage.

When they click on the juggling stage they will select the option:

Juggle Pins- 30 minutes

When you start you will only have this first option, you need to find all 3 different pin moves to complete the first row in the juggling collection to unlock the swords option, you then need to find the 3 sword moves to unlock the rubber chickens option and find the 3 rubber chicken moves to unlock the final option which is flaming torches to find the last three to complete the collection

Juggle Pins- 30 minutes
Juggle Swords- 1 hour
Juggle Rubber Chickens- 2 hours
Juggle Flaming Torches- 4 hours

NOTE: only one sim can do this hobby at a time

Once you complete the collection for the first time you can select any option in any order but you will still need to do each option to find the different moves to complete each row

LIFE DREAMS AND LEGACIES QUEST – BEACH: SEASHELLS – TODDLER AND PRETEEN SIMS – PRIZES: EARRINGS, HATS AND 6LP

Once you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest you will be able to use orbs to build the Beach, once the Beach is built one of your toddler or preteen sims will be able to complete this hobby by clicking on the seashells washed up on the beach:

This is my least favourite hobby, just because you have to do this at different times of the day to find all the shells, the night ones are the worst as night starts at midnight! I will not be doing this hobby again.

You have to come back at different times of the day to find all the shells:

Night- 10 minutes (between 12am- 6 am)
Dawn- 1 hour (between 6am- 12pm)
Noon- 2 hours (between 12pm-6pm)
Dusk- 3 hours (between 6pm-12am)

Each option will unlock two rows of shells in the hobby collection:

The rewards for completing this collection are earrings, hats and 6LP:

The first time you complete the seashell collecting hobby you unlock earrings for female preteens (found in the store under accessories, once purchased they can be found in the wardrobe under accessories) and hats for female and male toddlers and male preteens (found in the wardrobe under hats)

From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 6LP

The Sims Freeplay: How do I have so many LPs?

I constantly get asked this question, “how do you have so many LPs? I don’t have any!”

The one word answer: Cooking!

The cooking hobby is the best way I have found of making a lot of LPs very quickly, some people seem confused about how this works so I will be explaining exactly what I do in this post.

Firstly you need to complete the Bread Winner Quest to unlock the cooking hobby

Then you need:

Sims– as many as possible, you can have 1-10 in one house, obviously the more you have the quicker you are going to complete the collection
Oven, Toaster and Counter for each sim– if you have 6 sims, you will need 6 ovens, 6 toasters and 6 counters (TIP: if you have a toaster on a corner counter and it cannot be accessed by any sim you only need one toaster in the house for all sims to use)
Space– I use an empty house with all sims in one room, they are spaced out in their own workspaces with an oven and toaster on the counter, just so another sim doesn’t get in their way and cause them to cook a meal without getting a collectible- this can happen if they are squashed together. NOTE: you don’t need all your sims in one house, I just do because it is easier

Next you need to start cooking!

The one minute option, cheese and tomato on toast is the one you want to select

So click on the oven, click cooking and then on cheese and tomato on toast, it costs S5 each time but you get a lot more simoleons back when you find a new item.

Every time you make a dish a plate is left on the floor, I clean each one up after each dish is made, otherwise the house will be full of dishes and it really slows down the game.

TIP: If you have no sinks in the house, they will take the plates to the trashcan. A quick way to get rid of the plates is that if you kick over the trashcan the plates will just disappear OR if you store all the doors and remove all sinks from the room then the plates should disappear!

Black circle under plates– if a black circle appears under your plate this means you have so many plates in one pile so when you clean up it will take you several goes at cleaning (as you have so many plates to clean up) before the black circle will gradually decrease and the plates will disappear.

TIP: to save time click clean up, then cancel the action when they bend down to pick it up, the dish will disappear and you save some time!

Once you have completed the whole collection you will get 5LPs (you need to complete this hobby once to unlock chopping boards before you start earning LPs when you complete it) with lots of sims you can complete this collection in under an hour!

Make sure you then click restart collection before another sim finishes making the dish

Each row you complete you get an XP reward:

1st- 750XPs
2nd- 1000XPs
3rd- 1500XPs
4th- 2000XPs
5th- 3000XPs
6th- 5000XPs

And a reward for each time you level up:

Level 2 Hot Mess Maker= 250XPs
Level 3 Ready Meal Maestro= 500XPs
Level 4 Home Cooking Hero= S750
Level 5 Flavor Savior= 10,000 town value
Level 6 Hail to the Chef= 1LP

Once your sim gets to level 6 cooking it is a good idea to put them onto a different hobby for one go at that, I use the ghost hunters hobby as it is quite quick too, then I go back to cooking to start from level 1 again.

This means you will get more money, XPs, town value and an LP for levelling up to level 6 again.

Don’t worry- going back to level 1 doesn’t mean they will just find level 1 items as you have unlocked them all now!

A DANCE TO REMEMBER – BOOM BOX – TEEN OR ADULT SIMS – PRIZES: BREAKDANCING THEMED ITEMS AND 5LP

TIME LIMITED HOBBY – TIME: 7 DAYS – TIME LIMITED PRIZE: DJ BOOTH

Once you complete the Salsa Dancing hobby you will be able to complete this hobby using your teen or adult sims, to begin this hobby you need to buy the boom box from the promotions r us store for S5,000 and place it in one of your sims houses:

I cannot place the boom box, it says its locked/ limited item, what do I do? You will have this problem if you try and place it from the new items tab, look in your inventory instead to be able to place the boom box in one of your sims houses.

The 7 day time limit will begin as soon as you complete the salsa dancing hobby, if you complete the breakdancing hobby in the time limit you will unlock the DJ booth:

Your teen or adult sim needs to click on the boom box and select one of the options:

Quick Break- 1 hour 30 minutes
Long Break- 10 hours 30 minutes

NOTE: the first time you complete this hobby you can only buy one boom box so only one sim can complete this hobby but you can send another sim to a neighbours town to complete this hobby (if they have a boom box) after the first time as many sims as you want can complete this hobby as you can buy as many boom boxes as you want

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the breakdancing collectibles. Every time your sims complete one of the options above their breakdancing hobby skill level up percentage will increase, once they reach 100% they will level up, there are 6 levels. You need to reach level 6 to be able to unlock all of the breakdancing collectibles, once unlocked you will be able to find them.

The table below shows the level up percentage for each option:

NOTE: it says 330% but you will start from 0% at level 2

The completed breakdancing collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection/restart breakdancing trophies’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):

You will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles

If you complete this hobby in the time limit you will unlock the DJ Booth, you can find it in the electronics section and it costs S100,000! (far too expensive!) And a sim can’t even dance while another is DJing

The rewards for completing this collection are the breakdancing themed items and 5 LP:

The first time you complete this collection you unlock the breakdancing themed items (even if you don’t manage to complete in the time limit) it seems to just be lights, wallpaper and flooring:
