FREEZER BUNNY HUNT: Suns Out, Buns Out

On the 14th July you may have seen this fridge prize in your inbox:

This was a teaser for the Freezer Bunny Hunt. There are 3 types of Freezer Bunnies which will be hiding in SimTown and each day of this new update we will receive clues (and a small gift) to our inbox to help us find the hidden Freezer Bunnies at different locations around SimTown.

This is a community event so if one player finds a bunny then that counts for everyone playing (you may not have access to some locations if you are a new player)

NOTE: there is no interaction when you find the bunny, it just needs to be in the frame on your device to be counted

There are 3 phases, each lasting 6 days. If all bunnies have been found at the end of the 6 days we will all receive a prize to our inbox.

Phase 1– 21st July

The Sims Freeplay- Best Another Sim Town Houses to Visit

Another Simtown has had a very big makeover in recent updates making it much easier to complete many Social Tasks in the default town (but impossible to complete others!) In this post I will be listing the best houses to visit in Another Simtown that contain the majority of the items you will need to complete Social Tasks so you don’t have to keep moving houses as well as tables that show the items available in each house so you can easily find something specific.

I will be talking about these houses as numbers as it is the easiest way to explain their location, the images below show each houses location in Simtown and the Mysterious Island.

Which items are missing? None of the houses have a firepole, preteen bookshelf or ghost hunting items.

Using the above houses you can find most of the items but some of them are missing from these houses or contain items with a lower star rating so we need to visit two more houses to find everything we need 25 and 27.

To conclude you will need to visit houses 1, 2, 3, 17, 22, 25, 27 and 36 to find all the items you need.

There are new time limited prizes when you complete the 9 day pregnancy event in the time limit and earn the baby bonus between 7th-19th July

If you start the 9 day pregnancy event anytime during the time frame you have the chance of earning the maternity items in that pack if you complete the event in the time limit, for example if you start a pregnancy event on the 19th July and complete in the time limit you will earn the items above

You need to have completed the first pregnancy event in the A Bump-y Ride Quest before you can earn the maternity prizes

COMMUNITY MARKET

The Community Market is the new way to earn simoleons, customers will request items that you will need to trade to make simoleons. Gardening has been moved to the community market so your sims will be able to grow seeds that customers ask for and fufill their orders to earn simoleons and other rewards, this means you can no longer grow seeds at your own houses. A big change is coming to The Sims Freeplay in the Family Farmhouse: Spring to Action update available from 28th April 2025, instead of gardening on our home lots we now have a dedicated space to grow called the Community Market, in this post I will explain how it works.

The Community Market can be found near the park:

At the Community Market you will receive requests from customers, you need to grow the items they require to complete their requests and earn simoleons.

Clicking on a customer directly or on the stall where Patty Cakes is will show you all the customers and what each of them requires as well as your reward:

If you already have enough of an item it will be green with a tick, once all items are ticked off you can click fulfill to receive the reward:

There are 10 garden patches here you can use to grow but when you first start only one is unlocked, you will need to level up to unlock the other 9 and then use simoleons to unlock them:

To plant you need to click on the garden patch and drag the seeds to a garden patch:

Any sim who is not busy will appear at the Community Market to grow those seeds. If all your sims are busy you will not be able to plant.

If you want to see the cost of the seeds or how long it takes to grow click and hold when you click on the seeds and this information will appear:

If you do not have enough items you can fulfill using LP or skip an order with the bin icon, you will then need to wait for the next order to arrive:

Can I still garden at home? Garden patches are still available but can only be used for growing Simoleon Sprouts, Life Point Lotus and Social Point Flowers.

However you will unlock fully grown versions of each vegetable when you unlock the seeds at the community market to place on house lots to use as decor:

If you have any plants growing or had any stored gardening seeds when you update you will be rewarded the xp or simoleons from these.

The aim of this is to shorten the amount of time it takes to earn simoleons from gardening, I do agree that you can earn a lot more simoleons in a short space of time but it is not very useful for players who cannot be on the game as much and we can no longer earn simoleons planting overnight! When I tested this feature I also found it difficult to earn enough experience points to level up without those gardening XP. Time will tell if this actually is a good way to earn more money.
