To begin this discovery quest you need to click on the salsa dancers in the park next to the thinking man statue. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock rugs. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the salsa dancing and breakdancing hobbies but you will not get the rugs
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest
HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Watch the dancing couple- 2 minutes
- Enthuse to a sim about dancers- 12 seconds
- Talk to the dancers- 15 minutes
- Drive from the park to the villa (using the red car that appears)
- Have 5 sims at the villa (use whistles on the simtracker)
- Eat Hors D’oeures- 10 minutes (on the table in the villa)
- Have 5 sims cheer on the fantasias- 2 minutes (Can’t cheer on? Send your sim home from the villa and back to the park then use the car again to get back to the villa, the dancers should appear and you should be able to complete this task)
- Have 2 pairs of sims chatting- 10 hours 30 minutes (2 pairs=4 sims)
- Thank the fantasias- 1 minute (select interaction with one of them)
- Have all sims leave the villa (click on the car to drive home or use the simtracker)
- Have a sim hibernate- 19 hours (can be started early)
- Salsa dance to a stereo- 16 seconds
- Read spicy salsa from a bookshelf- 7 hours 30 minutes
- Place an ad on a computer- 12 minutes
- Watch dance lessons on TV- 22 hours
- Check email- 36 seconds (on a computer)
- Send a sim to the park
- Wait excitedly on a bench in the park- 8 hours 30 minutes
- Assess dancers- you need to access 3 dancers in turn:
- Dancer 1- 5 seconds
- Dancer 2- 10 seconds
- Dancer 3- 12 seconds
- Have 2 sims at the park
- Be hilarious to another sim- 4 hours 30 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
- Dance with another sim- 3 seconds (interaction again)
- Have 2 sims watch a movie marathon- 8 hours (can be started early)
- Have 2 sims play a long chess game- 2 hours 30 minutes (click on chess board in park)
- Have 2 sims eat a meal- 10 minutes (select cooking on the stove to cook cheese on toast- 1 minute then select call to meal)
- Have 2 sims dance to a stereo- 2 minutes 42 seconds
- Practice dancing together- 1 hour 30 minutes (practice salsa interaction between two sims)
- Have a sim hibernate- 19 hours (can be started early)
- Send a sim to the park
- Investigate meowing – 5 minutes (under bridge in park)
- Rescue cat from under the bridge- 10 hours 30 minutes (what a way to waste time!)
- Have 2 sims at the villa- using the car at the park
- Apologise for being late- 8 seconds (click on one of the fantasias)
- Dance at the villa- 4 hours 30 minutes (sim one clicks on jukebox and selects wait for sim, sim two clicks on jukebox and selects dance with partner)
- Have all sims leave the villa (use the simtracker)
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now complete the Salsa Dancing Hobby! You need to buy the jukebox from the promotions r us store for S5,000 to start this hobby. The time limit for the hobby begins as soon as you complete this quest

Where can I find them? In the rugs section of the home store
- Costs 5 social points each: Break Dancing Mat, Latin Orange 4×1, Latin White 4×1, Latin Ballroom Rug and Bathroom Rug
- Costs 6 social points each: Latin Orange 3×2 and Latin White 3×2
- Costs 7 social points each: Latin Orange 4×2 and Latin White 4×2

You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like
Help! I used the wrong aged sim to watch the dancing couple, now I can’t enthuse, what should I do?
Try using two adult sims to enthuse, if you still don’t get the option you may need to contact the makers
I left the villa, how do I get back?
Use the car at the park
I explored the villa but the roof is still on, how do I eat hors d’oeures?
You will need to contact the makers to see if they can fix this for you as I am unable to fix technical issues
My sims won’t cheer on the fantasias, why?
If they are still in the park you won’t be able to complete this goal. Have all sims leave the villa and go back to the park, restart your device and hopefully the dancers should have left the park. Go back to the villa using the car to cheer them on.
The task have two pairs of sims chatting won’t complete, why?
Are you sure you used 2 pairs of sims? (4 sims)
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Do you get to keep the cat you rescue?
No, you never see the cat
All sims left the villa but it didn’t complete the task, what should I do?
Try and have all your sims not doing any action, this sometimes makes the game recognise you have completed that goal
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Rugs
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the salsa dancing hobby before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests
Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit
I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start it you don’t have to do it
Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using, as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal

This quest unlocks the salsa dancing hobby, does the time limit start straight away once I have completed this quest?
Yes, the time limit for the hobby starts straight away once this quest is complete, you can click no when the hobby pop up appears but this does not stop the timer going down
NOTE: the breakdancing hobby timer starts as soon as you complete the salsa dancing hobby

have you completed the collection for the first time? Once you have everytime you complete the collection you get 5Lps, if you have completed it then click restart collection
Just do the 1 minute option over and over and you should soon complete the collection
When they listen to the stereo, I can’t hear the what the singer is saying, just some words that don’t make sense. Do you know what they are singing?

They sing in the language that they talk so its simlish, it isn’t meant to make sense

The best thing to do is to start tasks such as the hibernating one early but I think you are doing well, that will just save you a bit of time

How do you afford to use all your lp to skip tasks, have you just been saving up for a really long time x
I save up by completing the cooking hobby, I complete it several times to get enough LPs to speed up tasks

These quests with time limit hobbies are ridiculous. The same thing keeps coming and I can never finish them on time. 😦 disappointed.
I know! The thing that annoys me the most about them is that the timer for the hobbies starts as soon as you finish the quest, it shouldn’t start until you start the hobby for the first time so you can take some time off if you would like to- as I would like to 😛

I’ve had a sim dance with another sim about 100 times and it won’t advance me to the movie marathon one.
are you choosing the right option? it is the 3 second dance not the 10 second one

Go to the mysterious island and click on the monuments, one will say upgrade, click on that to upgrade it

No, if you don’t complete the quest in the time limit you don’t get the rugs but you still unlock the hobby

yes, they have cheated by basically hacking the game, not a thing I would suggest you do

no, you get the villa if you complete the hobby you unlock in the time limit
I speed up some tasks with Lps.
You could always start tasks such as hibernating and growing pumpkins in a different house early to save you some time.
Read spicy Salsa on a bookshelf is actually 9 hours, 30 minutes.
no I am right, a 3 star bookshelf is 7 hours 30 minutes.
if you are using a 1 star or 2 star it will take longer
It really seems not even worth it after reading about the rugs. What gets me is they barely give you enough time and then give you a task that takes so long that you have to use all your LP’s to complete it. I refuse to pay after they got rid of the FB version. I thank you for posting these because at least I can get some done ahead of time. I would not have completed the Red quest without you. 🙂

Anyone have a feeling the dancing hobby to get the house will be as hard to complete as all others have been. I’ve levelled up to level six and still have 8 “trophies” to get. I keep getting the same thing every single time. It’s beginning to become a bit of a joke really

Very easy to complete in time limit…if u have a few lps going spare. Managed to get it done in 3 days. The cat rescuing task didn’t feature I’ve no idea why the prize should be free for the first of each rug you buy. Why would someone want to buy a rug if you have to use sps to have one

For the hobby, how many dancing pairs can be dancing at once? I can get two pairs dancing to one jukebox but when I add another one the dance options don’t come up, only the waiting for a partner option. Is there a away to buy another jukebox somewhere or add more pairs dancing?
it appears you can only have two pairs dancing at once and you can’t buy another jukebox as you can only have one per town
The quest hasn’t come up. I have finished the new year’s one. I play this game on two different devices, and on one of them the quest came but on the other, it has not come and the dancers aren’t in the park.

No, I am not on the book of spells quest. Also, when I open the sims freeplay app a pop up comes up telling me about the quest to unlock the villa, when I haven’t even done the dancing one and the villa quest hast come up. This is weird.

regular I don’t know what level though, but it is a discovery quest so if you are on the book of spells you won’t be able to do it until you complete that one

Just as a heads up if you haven’t unlocked the cooking hobby it just skips that goal. Hope this helps other readers who are way behind the quests, like me.
