To begin this discovery quest you need to click on the salsa dancers in the park next to the thinking man statue. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock rugs. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the salsa dancing and breakdancing hobbies but you will not get the rugs
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest
HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Watch the dancing couple- 2 minutes
- Enthuse to a sim about dancers- 12 seconds
- Talk to the dancers- 15 minutes
- Drive from the park to the villa (using the red car that appears)
- Have 5 sims at the villa (use whistles on the simtracker)
- Eat Hors D’oeures- 10 minutes (on the table in the villa)
- Have 5 sims cheer on the fantasias- 2 minutes (Can’t cheer on? Send your sim home from the villa and back to the park then use the car again to get back to the villa, the dancers should appear and you should be able to complete this task)
- Have 2 pairs of sims chatting- 10 hours 30 minutes (2 pairs=4 sims)
- Thank the fantasias- 1 minute (select interaction with one of them)
- Have all sims leave the villa (click on the car to drive home or use the simtracker)
- Have a sim hibernate- 19 hours (can be started early)
- Salsa dance to a stereo- 16 seconds
- Read spicy salsa from a bookshelf- 7 hours 30 minutes
- Place an ad on a computer- 12 minutes
- Watch dance lessons on TV- 22 hours
- Check email- 36 seconds (on a computer)
- Send a sim to the park
- Wait excitedly on a bench in the park- 8 hours 30 minutes
- Assess dancers- you need to access 3 dancers in turn:
- Dancer 1- 5 seconds
- Dancer 2- 10 seconds
- Dancer 3- 12 seconds
- Have 2 sims at the park
- Be hilarious to another sim- 4 hours 30 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
- Dance with another sim- 3 seconds (interaction again)
- Have 2 sims watch a movie marathon- 8 hours (can be started early)
- Have 2 sims play a long chess game- 2 hours 30 minutes (click on chess board in park)
- Have 2 sims eat a meal- 10 minutes (select cooking on the stove to cook cheese on toast- 1 minute then select call to meal)
- Have 2 sims dance to a stereo- 2 minutes 42 seconds
- Practice dancing together- 1 hour 30 minutes (practice salsa interaction between two sims)
- Have a sim hibernate- 19 hours (can be started early)
- Send a sim to the park
- Investigate meowing – 5 minutes (under bridge in park)
- Rescue cat from under the bridge- 10 hours 30 minutes (what a way to waste time!)
- Have 2 sims at the villa- using the car at the park
- Apologise for being late- 8 seconds (click on one of the fantasias)
- Dance at the villa- 4 hours 30 minutes (sim one clicks on jukebox and selects wait for sim, sim two clicks on jukebox and selects dance with partner)
- Have all sims leave the villa (use the simtracker)
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now complete the Salsa Dancing Hobby! You need to buy the jukebox from the promotions r us store for S5,000 to start this hobby. The time limit for the hobby begins as soon as you complete this quest

Where can I find them? In the rugs section of the home store
- Costs 5 social points each: Break Dancing Mat, Latin Orange 4×1, Latin White 4×1, Latin Ballroom Rug and Bathroom Rug
- Costs 6 social points each: Latin Orange 3×2 and Latin White 3×2
- Costs 7 social points each: Latin Orange 4×2 and Latin White 4×2

You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like
Help! I used the wrong aged sim to watch the dancing couple, now I can’t enthuse, what should I do?
Try using two adult sims to enthuse, if you still don’t get the option you may need to contact the makers
I left the villa, how do I get back?
Use the car at the park
I explored the villa but the roof is still on, how do I eat hors d’oeures?
You will need to contact the makers to see if they can fix this for you as I am unable to fix technical issues
My sims won’t cheer on the fantasias, why?
If they are still in the park you won’t be able to complete this goal. Have all sims leave the villa and go back to the park, restart your device and hopefully the dancers should have left the park. Go back to the villa using the car to cheer them on.
The task have two pairs of sims chatting won’t complete, why?
Are you sure you used 2 pairs of sims? (4 sims)
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Do you get to keep the cat you rescue?
No, you never see the cat
All sims left the villa but it didn’t complete the task, what should I do?
Try and have all your sims not doing any action, this sometimes makes the game recognise you have completed that goal
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Rugs
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the salsa dancing hobby before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests
Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start it you don’t have to do it

Yes, the time limit for the hobby starts straight away once this quest is complete, you can click no when the hobby pop up appears but this does not stop the timer going down

yes, as long as you finish the hobby in the time limit you will unlock the villa, it just unlocks it, it cost 125SPs on a standard plot

The latin villa costs 125 sp on a regular lot and 175 sp on a premium lot. Lucky me because I was already saving 100 sp for the houseboat, now I’ll use them for the villa. I still have to save up 75 more though. It’s so hard to get sp when they reward 1 sp for tasks as long as 12 hours or even more.

Hey I am currently on the ‘Dance to remember quest’ I am stuck trying to make 2 sims dance. I have and it takes 10 secs but nothing happens. According to this blog it should take three, please help I have 2 days left.
Select the first option on the interactions, that is a 3 second dance, it isn’t the 10 second one.

I can’t have all the sims in the villa (the last task) it always tell me the place is so crowded .
What can i do
The task is make all sims leave the villa, not go to the villa.
I have my sims dancing non-stop to get their trophies but they are staying stuck on level four of six. It keeps resetting and going back to the beginning of level four. Any ideas?
This is a glitch but it doesn’t stop you from levelling up, the hobby bar % just goes back to 0 everytime you do the hobby but if you look when you finish the hobby it will show the correct % before you start it again

After two sims get engaged, can they break up? I accident.y did the 10 second dance instead of the three second one. When it didn’t work, I kept doing it to see if it would work then. That afternoon a friend got them engaged for a joke and I want to break them up!

I FINALLY finished the Salsa Dancing Hobby and had to use numerous LPs to do it as I’d been stuck with only one trophy needed for over 2 days! That’s nuts! Once you unlock the villa you then have to pay out 175 SPs to build it! VERY unfair! Shouldn’t they give you one freebie for all your hard work? The break dancing hobby is now another 7 days long with yet another dance hobby after that. We’ll be caught doing hobbies for another two weeks with prizes themed to the hobby it looks like. ACK!
I am also stuck. Uts the first medal of the final bunch. Anaconda, Eduardo, anaconda, eduardo over and over. It’s 6 lps each time and I must have spent 40 by now. This is total and utter nonsense! It’s giving results you would find from something rigged. I am so annoyed!!!
When I get to the villa it tells me to eat Hors D’ oeures before I explore the villa. I can’t click on the door to explore. PLZ HELP

It isn’t a quest, it’s a hobby, click on the jukebox to start the hobby
That weird I did the hibernate quest early and when it said to hibernate it won’t let me skip it
did you complete it early? You should stay away from the house where you do that task until you get the goal to do it or it doesn’t work

I hate how it’s never really a prize, just an unlocked item you still have to pay for. I’ve pretty much given up completing quests on time if I just have to waste LPs or SPs on useless items. I am doing the salsa dancing hobby and sometimes when I have the 2 couples dancing, when I come back to it, one of the couples has stopped and I don’t get any reward. Do you know why this is happening?

Hi! I’m a little behind but when you have to have a sim hibernate can it be an infant or does it have to be an adult?
it can be any sim.
Like it is said on this post, it’s not worth spending lp’s on the lucky spin. You will spend 5 or 6 lp’s on a random spin a may get the same thing. It’s too much lp’s to lose. But for some ppl that can’t avoid pressing that button, why don’t try instead having your Sim dance for the hour and half min. And using only 1Lp finish the task early. At least you have 5 tries using 5 lp, compared to one try using 5 lp. Hope this helps the compulsive lp buyers 🙂

If you aren’t on a goal that requires you to be at the villa you can’t go there until you get a goal to go there, then you use the car at the park to go there.
I live in new Mexico on the Texas/Mexico border, trust me if someone is trying to sell you an authentic Latin (Mexican, Pueblo) blanket and it has plain colors it is not authentic. My grandma Irma makes some of these for us and they are all kind of color blind styled.
If you want to see the most common colors Bing traditional Mexican carpet or blanket and you get a page FULL of color.
What I mean is, why do they all have to be Latin?
Some plain ones would be nice too.

I’m inpatient so I just used a gazillion LP’s and rushed through everything. I built the villa on both small and large lots. I like the large lot because I added a second story and mixed my New Years party decorations with the dance stuff and I got a lil club going on. Lol
The blog really helped me I didn’t know I had to buy the radio to dance wasted a whole day trying to figure it out!

yes, you need to complete the salsa dancing hobby to unlock the breakdancing but it doesn’t have to be in the time limit
When you are working on the salsa dancing hobby, other people can cheer you on. Does that do anything? Like it would be nice if it decreased the time needed to complete the dance. Or make it easier to get the dance award that you don’t have yet.
I don’t know whether it does anything, I’m not sure it would make a huge difference to what rewards you get but it won’t decrease the time it takes.
So, I just got the quest, and I just hit level nine. Only commenting because you said you didn’t know the level the quest unlocks at, and since my brother got it at nine too, I figured that’s it. Sorry if I’m a bother, bye. 🙂

Im trying to complete the salsa dance hobby within 7 days to get the villa. I can only buy/use one jukebox, until the hobby is complete. I put it inside a house, then had 3 other sims start the hobby. (4 sims, 2 dance partners) Was wondering if you knew how many couples can do this hobby at once to increase the chances of finishing within the time to get the villa?
Just saw your posts saying only 2 couples can dance at once. Is it faster completing the hobby by the extended dance, since it earns more XPs? Or should I do the shorter one?
I mostly used the short option, I only used the longer one to level up overnight.
