To begin this discovery quest you need to click on the salsa dancers in the park next to the thinking man statue. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock rugs. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the salsa dancing and breakdancing hobbies but you will not get the rugs
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest
HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Watch the dancing couple- 2 minutes
- Enthuse to a sim about dancers- 12 seconds
- Talk to the dancers- 15 minutes
- Drive from the park to the villa (using the red car that appears)
- Have 5 sims at the villa (use whistles on the simtracker)
- Eat Hors D’oeures- 10 minutes (on the table in the villa)
- Have 5 sims cheer on the fantasias- 2 minutes (Can’t cheer on? Send your sim home from the villa and back to the park then use the car again to get back to the villa, the dancers should appear and you should be able to complete this task)
- Have 2 pairs of sims chatting- 10 hours 30 minutes (2 pairs=4 sims)
- Thank the fantasias- 1 minute (select interaction with one of them)
- Have all sims leave the villa (click on the car to drive home or use the simtracker)
- Have a sim hibernate- 19 hours (can be started early)
- Salsa dance to a stereo- 16 seconds
- Read spicy salsa from a bookshelf- 7 hours 30 minutes
- Place an ad on a computer- 12 minutes
- Watch dance lessons on TV- 22 hours
- Check email- 36 seconds (on a computer)
- Send a sim to the park
- Wait excitedly on a bench in the park- 8 hours 30 minutes
- Assess dancers- you need to access 3 dancers in turn:
- Dancer 1- 5 seconds
- Dancer 2- 10 seconds
- Dancer 3- 12 seconds
- Have 2 sims at the park
- Be hilarious to another sim- 4 hours 30 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
- Dance with another sim- 3 seconds (interaction again)
- Have 2 sims watch a movie marathon- 8 hours (can be started early)
- Have 2 sims play a long chess game- 2 hours 30 minutes (click on chess board in park)
- Have 2 sims eat a meal- 10 minutes (select cooking on the stove to cook cheese on toast- 1 minute then select call to meal)
- Have 2 sims dance to a stereo- 2 minutes 42 seconds
- Practice dancing together- 1 hour 30 minutes (practice salsa interaction between two sims)
- Have a sim hibernate- 19 hours (can be started early)
- Send a sim to the park
- Investigate meowing – 5 minutes (under bridge in park)
- Rescue cat from under the bridge- 10 hours 30 minutes (what a way to waste time!)
- Have 2 sims at the villa- using the car at the park
- Apologise for being late- 8 seconds (click on one of the fantasias)
- Dance at the villa- 4 hours 30 minutes (sim one clicks on jukebox and selects wait for sim, sim two clicks on jukebox and selects dance with partner)
- Have all sims leave the villa (use the simtracker)
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now complete the Salsa Dancing Hobby! You need to buy the jukebox from the promotions r us store for S5,000 to start this hobby. The time limit for the hobby begins as soon as you complete this quest

Where can I find them? In the rugs section of the home store
- Costs 5 social points each: Break Dancing Mat, Latin Orange 4×1, Latin White 4×1, Latin Ballroom Rug and Bathroom Rug
- Costs 6 social points each: Latin Orange 3×2 and Latin White 3×2
- Costs 7 social points each: Latin Orange 4×2 and Latin White 4×2

You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed
Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can
Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest
I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like
Help! I used the wrong aged sim to watch the dancing couple, now I can’t enthuse, what should I do?
Try using two adult sims to enthuse, if you still don’t get the option you may need to contact the makers
I left the villa, how do I get back?
Use the car at the park
I explored the villa but the roof is still on, how do I eat hors d’oeures?
You will need to contact the makers to see if they can fix this for you as I am unable to fix technical issues
My sims won’t cheer on the fantasias, why?
If they are still in the park you won’t be able to complete this goal. Have all sims leave the villa and go back to the park, restart your device and hopefully the dancers should have left the park. Go back to the villa using the car to cheer them on.
The task have two pairs of sims chatting won’t complete, why?
Are you sure you used 2 pairs of sims? (4 sims)
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
Do you get to keep the cat you rescue?
No, you never see the cat
All sims left the villa but it didn’t complete the task, what should I do?
Try and have all your sims not doing any action, this sometimes makes the game recognise you have completed that goal
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Rugs
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the salsa dancing hobby before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests
Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start it you don’t have to do it

Yes, the time limit for the hobby starts straight away once this quest is complete, you can click no when the hobby pop up appears but this does not stop the timer going down

If i missed the time frame of the salsa dancing quest am i not able to fo to the villa? Where is the villa and how d i send 5 sims there? Im already at the build the mall quest but i can’t because of the Villa issue
No, the villa is the prize for completing the salsa dancing hobby, not this quest, you won’t get the rugs if you don’t complete this quest in the time limit

My preteen sim watched the dancers and I tried to get him to enthuse to another sim. I tried other preteens, adults, and toddlers, but the option to enthuse didn’t come up. I went to the park and tried to get an adult to watch the dancers but it didn’t let me. Do you know if I can reset the quest or if there’s any way around this? Thank you!

how do i get to the villa if none of my sims are already there? i used to just leave one sim there and then click on them on the sim tracker to get to the villa, but now all my sims are home and i have not completed the quest yet! is the villa on the map? because i dont see it. how do i get to the villa?!

I didn’t finish the “A Dance to Remember” quest on time and now I can’t move on to construct the Sunset Mall. Also, I don’t know how to have 2 sims to Salsa Dance because my Sims left the villa early and now there is no car at the park to ride them to the villa. What can I do? Can you help me? All you can really do is restart your device until the car reappears at the park

My weekly task is that to make a meal on a stove, I’ve tried 1,2,3 star stoves, I make a meal after selecting the opt. Cooking.. Still the task is not getting accepted.. That’s very annoying 😦

By the way, i also face same trouble when i need to talk to the dancers, i use two different sim but nothing happen, the task still show me that i need to talk to the dancers, i follow your suggestion to talk the dancers again but still nothing happen.. getting frustrated 😦

When I talk to the dancers (adult sim) I wait 15 minutes but once I’m done it says I have to do it again because it won’t complete is this a glitch?

Hello, thank you for this helpful walkthrough. But I have a really SERIOUS problem. I sent all my sims to their respective homes (because i know that going to the park and finding the red car there will help me return to the villa, i did that for the first time) and did the first ‘have a sim hybernate’. And now i’m stuck on the salsa dance to a stereo, because when I went to the park and brought a sim over, i can’t find the car anymore!! how am i supposed to get back to the villa? ;~;

Please help me. Everywhere on the internet, I see that a couple of dancers is next SALSA JUKEBOX, for me they do not exist – there are all the time in the park. So when doing a task:
Have 5 sims to cheer on the fantasias- 2 minutes. Sims refuse me. Cloud appears, indicating that there is no space. (Blue Footprints)
I went out all Sims out of the house, I came back again and continued lack of a dancing couple. How do I kibocować them? You have an idea?
Send all sims home from the villa, have one sim in the park then restart your device, this works for some people to get them to go to the villa. If that still doesn’t work you may need to contact EA about fixing this issue for you
Hi I was at the villa and had to eat the thing for 10 mins. I done that but now am supposed to cheer on. But the dancers are not at the villa their in the park how do I get them back to the villa. I was thinking maybe they only go there at night time. Idk I already submitted a ticket to the ea but I got an email back saying it could take up to 2 weeks before I hear back from them due to a lot of submitted tickets I’m hoping you Can help
Have you tried sending all your sims home from the villa and having one sim in the park, then restarting your device, that works for some people to get them to the villa

I’m so glad I found this! I used to play all the time, then stopped for awhile, and now with knowing what is coming next, I can plan accordingly for while I’m at work (to time the long tasks when I won’t be able to play anyway).

I have a question. There is a new quest about “Skating” which is gonna start after 7 days and is requiring me to start building the “Snow Park”.
My questions are:
1. Will the quest still start after 7 days even though I am currently in level 19 and only in the “Money Grows On Trees” quest?
2. If you say ‘no’ to a quest and want to view it in the goal tab/start playing it when you’re ready, where can I see it? I can’t find it in the goal tab. ): I used to do that in the “Ringlets Of Fire” quest. But wasn’t able to find it in the goal tab.

1. It depends what level you can start the skating quest from, I don’t know what the level requirements are for this quest yet, sorry!
2. The goal tab also known as the active tasks tab (where you can see your weekly, social and quest goals) is just above your sims needs on the simtracker

I have tried your tip of starting goals early twice but they dun seem to work.
It does work, you just need to remember to stay away from that house until you get the goal or you will have to start again.

1. How many quests were you not able to achieve? (Including limited timed quests) What are those quests?
2. I know this sucks, but it has been more than 5 times or I think more than 10 times that I have literally reset my “Sims Freeplay” due to quests that I wasn’t able to finish, limited timed quests, etc. It became a habit of mine. Because, I hate it whenever I don’t finish those quests on time or when it’s a limited quest and I’m barely on that level. -_- Any advice?

I’ve been stuck on the goal where they need to “Cheer on!” the dancers at the jukebox. But the dancers aren’t at the Villa, and the game won’t let me do anything with the jukebox. I keep trying to give them the command to Cheer On! but it shows a little foot icon above the Sims.
The problem is the dancers are probably still in the park so get all your sims to leave the villa then have one sim in the park, then restart your device, hopefully the dancers will no longer be in the park so you can go back to the villa using the car at the park and cheer them on
When I try to click on the beach for the salsa challenge it does not give me the option to wait excitedly on the beach please help
Beach? Do you mean bench? You need to click on a bench in the park to get the option

No you can’t quit a quest, you have to finish it or just leave it
