1. Completed it the first time, in part thanks to your advice. Now I’m being a good sport and give it a go for the community. Funny, I have all the deposits from last time as decor in the spa, so 13 sims are at it already 😆.

2. it shows that all my deposits are being used and I can only put down 1 moonstone deposit and coin flower patches. All the others are locked! what could be causing this? Was there an update? I didn’t see any.

   • Do you have them placed already from last time?

     • I did part of this event before, and wanted to finish it. It took me quite awhile to figure out where I had placed all of my deposits from the last time , until I figured out that if you look on the town map there will be a flashing pickaxe symbol at the house where your deposits are located. I hope this helps anyone else who can’t find their deposits

5. Same for me as Faio! I completed it last time but have mine going to help community progress for those not done and new players since that event! Good luck all! The prizes are worth the effort.

6. I have two questions:

   1- If I build the spa on an island template, will it have the mud fence instead?

   2-The stone brick looking pavement, will j get that if I unlock the template?

   • It will have the same fence as it does in sim town
     The patio paving on the spa template? Yes, you unlock both of these.

7. Third moonstone node was 15SP. Going to guess that the second jade will be 20 Will keep you updated!

8. Oh. Now this is kind of cool. I’ve never seen a community progress event repeated before even though I’m a long time player. Community progress just reached the spa doors and even though I’ve already completed the spa event I got the set of doors free again.

9. If you update your Sims Freeplay game late (hence get the quest late), will you still be given the full 12 days, or only up to the initial deadline (14th November)?

   • The time limit and deadline is the same for everyone so if you start late you will have less days to complete this event.

11. Fr some reason I cannot see community progress. It only progresses when I collect gems. Looks I am the only one who is playing. Any ideas?

    • Is it increasing more now? It takes a while to get going when the event first starts.

12. why my global community progress aren’t increase since yesterday?

    • It is increasing the same for everyone but you have to remember it will be slower this year as a lot of people completed the event last time so aren’t harvesting gems this time around.

14. Can I change around furniture on the Sim town Spa template?

    • Yes, it is just like a normal house template.

15. If I don’t have enough SP to buy more jade or moonstone nodes, do you think I’ll still be able to get all the prizes? Rn I have 7 sims working on this but the progress is really slow. Is there anythin I can do?

    • If you work hard at it, doing the shortest options as much as possible and collecting the bonuses you should be able to but I don’t know how you play so it is difficult to say- you just have to work hard at it.

17. Does anyone know if you can edit the walk way to the 3 benches in the back of the template? Ya know, the part that has the long walkway that leads to the lake-river? Just wanna know if I can add or remove the furniture or change the floor. I can tell it’s ‘beyond the property range,but I’m still curious. Can sims even access that part since it’s off property?

    • That part cannot be edited but a sim can admire the zen rock and sit on the benches so that area can be used.

      • Okie dokie. One last question… do you know if the land changes at all if I build it on the island?
        I put the wizards cottage on the island and the fence and ground changed (all the leaves were gone and the fence was typical island fence you get on regular properties.
        I just want to make sure the surrounding ‘river’ that runs along the sides of the property will still be there if I build it in the plot at the bottom of the volcano. Thank you!

18. Hi, I love your blog. I have a question though. Last time we could make purchases for a week after the event ended. But if we finished buying all the different items after the event during that week would we still get the template or do we have to purchase everything during the event itself to unlock the template?

    • It will probably be the same this time but I don’t know for sure.

      • Okay thank you. Also, one more question: you know how some houses on the island don’t show their special fence and road, such as the wizards cottage, does that also apply to the spa template because I want to build it on the island

      • No the spa template seems to come with the same fence as it does if built in simtown

19. What is the rainbow gem harvester that is being offered for 9.99? Is it worth it?

    • It auto harvests 300 Quartz, 400 Garnet, 600 Moonstone or 700 Jade every 8 hours, I don’t know if it is worth it as I haven’t and won’t be buying it.

20. This is my first time doing the spa event and I’m loving it. I have one question…if I don’t get the spa template, can I build on an empty lot and put the prizes in there to build my own spa?

    • Yes you can do that

21. In order to buy all the prizes, you need:
    97445 Garnet
    95200 Moonstone
    94500 Jade
    The max amount of jade you can produce in a day, not counting bonuses (which are buggy and require you to be looking at your phone the entire day) is 8500.

    This is my first time doing this event and I unlocked the jade node on the 3rd day.

    It’s impossible to get all the jade needed without:
    1) already having a jade node from the beginning
    2) using social points to speed up the jade
    3) buying the rainbow harvester with real money

    • Yes this is so true! Theres less than a day left and i wont be able to unlock the sauna and maybe not thr massage tables. From the start ive been playing everyday and i got the extra jade mine using 30sp as i thought it would help but it hasnt much!

      Defo wont unlock the spa.now!

    • Hi Fran, I don’t usually buy in games – but I made the mistake of buying this as I really wanted to try to get the template – however… as quartz become so important I’ve only generated that… it gives you less than half what an additional sim mining quartz would give you – 300 every 8 hours (assuming it doesn’t become available at 4am when sleeping – so average maybe 600 quartz per day – disappointing for the price! I’ve had 13 sims mining round the clock and I still can’t see how anyone can get the template without spending money on a LOT od SP’s – not sure if Weightlessmagic agrees with me on this.         It definitely isn’t easy to complete on time and I used so many SPs to complete this last time but because the social plant flower now costs 20LPs instead of 5 I just don’t have the SPs to waste on this so I am not attempting to finish it all this time, I just want the meditation area! If they have brought it back once they will probably bring it back again.

23. Hi! Glad to know you visited San Francisco last month. Did EA sponsor you? Regardless… that was so cool! Anyway, there’s this flashing item below the flower icon on the upper left corner, and selecting that will show the Rainbow Gem Harvester. It comes with 10 SP, 1,500 quartz and 5,000 simoleons. The package costs quite a bit though. Any idea what this is for?

      The rainbow gem harvester auto harvests 300 Quartz, 400 Garnet, 600 Moonstone or 700 Jade every 8 hours but that is all I know! I don’t know if it is worth it as I haven’t and won’t be buying it

24. Is this a glitch? I have stopped working on the bird feeding quest, I have no interest in the life dreams and legacies quest so I figured the bird feeding quest would be a good place to stop. Today the quest popped up and said I finished searching a tree as part of fhe quest, which I haven’t even started. So it’s as if the quest is starting itself since I haven’t messed with it. I sure hope this isn’t a way to force us into the life dreams and legacies quest.

    • Sounds like a glitch! Did you definitely not start the goal?

25. Do you have to buy all the milestones things you unlock to get the spa resort template?

    • Yes all the items need to be purchased to unlock the spa template.

26. For the sauna do your sims change into towels automatically or do you have to rely on the community progress and change them yourself?

    • They change automatically.

27. If gobal community progress finished and we didn’t get some prizes….can we still have chance to earn them?
    I want towel warp outfit but unfortunately the gobal community progress is so slow and I don’t think to get this on time so I ask this question here.
    I thought maybe you could help me

    • Probably not but they may be nice and give us them anyway! 😉 Don’t give up hope just yet, there are still a few days left!

28. When you claim a prize, do you “spend” the gems to get it? or do you still keep them?

    • You claim the community prizes, you buy the personal prizes so buying the items such as the rugs or the sauna uses the gems it shows you above where it says purchase, if you don’t have enough gems it will cost you SPs to buy it early.

29. Thanks for the guides. I played years ago a while, but everything was very different. I just restarted 3 or 4 days ago… so alas I got started on this event with less than 6 days to complete….
    I rarely use guides, but was going crazy with a new town, no money, few sims becausee I couldn’t afford houses, and then an event quest which meant my sims couldnt go to work or garden to earn money…
    I found your earning money guide and I now have 1 sim cooking to earn money, 7 mining, 1 doing timed quest chains, and 1 gofer… doing whatever I need at the moment.
    My progress bar may hit the manicure station, but I doubt I will purchase it. I will be getting the mud bath however.
    I’m probaby not buying anymore gem deposits unless the event repeats again. 10k for 3rd garnet when I know I can’t complete seems too pricy.
    Anyway… I have 1 (2?) Questions…
    – did unspent gems carry over between the times this event ran?
    And
    – my migraine math-challenged brain wonders.. assuming you are able to monitor your sims progress and retask when needed… is one of the mining timers a more efficient choice than the others? More gems/hour?

      The 3 hour 30 minute option, if you can check your game that much really allows you to earn the most gems

      • Thanks for the answer. I “unlocked” all the way to the meditation station, but will not have enough jade to purchase that although I am still trying.
        I just converted all my quartz into coins, hoping maybe these will carry over since you say spendable gems don’t. And once the event is over I will purchase the best items I can to use up my remaining gems.
        Now I have a guy slowly ever so slowly learning to be a woodworker… he just hit level 2. I hope I have time to max him before the next event starts….
        Anyway, as I see others asked the same questions I did, perhaps you can add a “if you do not complete the event, what happens on a repeat?” FAQ with things like do gems carry over to spend, does progress bar start at zero, do constructor coins carry over, etc, and save yourself some of the same questions. Lol

30. Thanks guys, I appreciate it. I’m kind of frustrated with this one. Only because I’ve had them mining around the clock and I know I’ll complete my portion in time, but I do not think the community portion will be finished in time. I think so many people’s completed it the first time that this time therequired aren’t enough to push it through for the rest of us. So that’s dissappointing.

    • They probably have made the required gems needed to unlock the community prizes less than last time but don’t give up hope yet, still a few days to go!

31. I would like to buy the sea voyage boat. It says that i need to wait to the next event. I am doing the spa event right now. Why can’t I buy it?

    • That is part of a different event, the romantic island event is currently unavailable, if they bring it back one day you will be able to unlock it then.

32. What happens to the gem deposits after the event is over? Can I still harvest gems? If I can, where can I use them? Thanks!

    • They become unusable so you won’t be able to harvest anymore gems.

33. Do you think it is possible to get the massage and sauna area in the the next three days with all of the deposits unlocked?

    • If you do the shortest option as much as possible, collect as many bonuses as possible and just keep working at it then you should be able to but its difficult to say!

34. Hello,

    When they started the quest again did you have your leftover gems from the previous time or did you start from scratch? Think I’ll be running out of time on this one so not sure if it’s worthwhile to keep going at the moment! Just aiming for items I like rather than everything.

35. So what happens if I don’t complete within the 12 days, will I still get a chance to purchase everything else including the spa resort?

    • If you don’t earn enough gems in the time limit you will not be able to purchase all the items unless you use hundreds of social points.

    I have a question. It seems like I would not be able to finish this spa event. If you have to choose between mediation area, massage table and sauna, which one you’ll choose? I’m not sure which one is the most worth to buy.
    Also, will this event started again someday? I really want that spa template.

      I would choose the massage table but that is only my opinion, read through the post and see what you get with each and what they all do as my opinion may be different from yours!

37. hey, i was just wondering i only have enough of the gems and constructor coins to get either the massage table or the sauna and i want both! Which one do you think i should get?     • I would choose the massage table but that is only my opinion, read through the post and see what you get with each and what they all do as my opinion may be different from yours!

38. Hi, does anyone remember how long it’s been between the two spa events because I really don’t think I’m going to complete it. I have the massage table & sauna to go. Hopefully I get the massage table before it finishes. But I think I will need to wait until they run it again to get the template to build it properly.

39. Ok, so I do have another question. I could have sworn that I saw an option that we could win the divider walls worth the candles in them. However, now I don’t see them anywhere. Was that just my imagination or did they change it?

    • Those come with the massage table as shown in the post.

    • I know they are working on bringing the romantic island event back but that one is more tricky to sort out so hopefully one day it will return!

42. Is it possible to use neighbors gem deposits so you can harvest more in a day? None of my neighbors still play so I don’t think they’d have any, but just curious.

    • No, you cannot harvest gems at your neighbours.

43. Several people asked about the fence/road appearance of the spa template, if built on the island, and I was concerned myself. My haunted mansion has the surroundings it should have, but I finally deleted my Neo Tokyo and rebuilt in a standard lot on the mainland, just to have the cool fence and streets. My Latin Villa, Medieval Castle, and DIY Model Home will just have to keep the dull and boring island fence and road, for now.

    However, after searching my neighbors’ cities, I can happily report that placing the spa template on the island won’t ruin it. It has the river overlook at the back, even on the island! (-:

    (I can send you a screenshot, but it doesn’t really prove anything.)

44. Just out of curiosity, how long ago was it they ran this event? I’m no where near completion so hoping the event will come around again soon.

    • May this year was the first time this event was available.

45. May I ask when has this event happened before? I’m two prizes short of getting the template, and there’s only an hour left…

    • It happened back in May.

46. Hello the we days end and I didn’t finish but the give 7 days but I can’t use the stones any more it won’t allow me now what do I do?

    • You cannot use them anymore, you can now only use the gems you have got to buy any of the prizes you have left, you cannot make anymore gems or coins so if you don’t have enough you have to use social points or not get the prizes.

47. I wasn’t around during the first go of this event so it took me too long to realize just how many Sims you have to commit to this quest to finish in time. I only unlocked as far as the foot spa, with gems enough to buy as far as the manicure station. So I have two questions:
    1) Do you have any other tips on quickly earning SP so that I can buy my unlocked stations (other than your cooking tips– thanks for that!)
    2) Do you think that this event may have a third go, or should I sell my deposits? I hope that it does because that spa template looks amazing!

    • The best way, and its not really that great anymore since it now costs 20LPs instead of 5LPs is to use the Social Point Flower to earn them that way, the only other way really is to visit your neighbours and complete social tasks.
      I think if players keep demanding it they will bring it back again one day 🙂

48. Actually I couldn’t complete and I missed the romantic island event so, is this really the last chance?????

    • The romantic island event is a different event which they haven’t brought back yet. If you couldn’t do this event then you probably don’t have the most up to date version of the game.
