The Girl Who Games

living for the next update

ATTENTION: Windows Phone Players

Unfortunately Firemonkeys have decided to stop updating the game for Windows Phones so the Easter 2017 update will be the last. I don’t know why they have decided to do this- I just hope this doesn’t mean they will be stopping updates on any of the other platforms!

You will still be able to play the game, but you won’t receive any of the new content including future events

You can read the post from Firemonkeys here: https://help.firemonkeys.com.au/hc/en-us/articles/115005399868

As you will no longer be receiving updates I have created a page containing all the quests goals as they are in this last update so you can still have a correct guide to completing the quests. BUT please remember that quests will change in the future so please don’t comment on a quest post saying it is incorrect if you are playing the game on a Windows Phone.

If you will no longer be playing the game then I would just like to thank you for stopping by, hopefully I was some help! All the best!

The Sims Freeplay- Boutique Hair Event

NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS THE RINGLETS OF FIRE/ LONG HAIR EVENT

This event is only here for 7 days from the 17th April!

You will need the easter update of the sims freeplay in order to start this event

To get all 9 new long hair styles you need to complete the fashion designer hobby collection 9 times! You get a new hairstyle each time you complete it, once you unlock a hairstyle you get to keep it even if you don’t find them all. If you have never done the fashion designer hobby click here for details.

If you completed this event last time it will not appear for you again. If you got some hairstyles last time you will start from the point you reached so if you got 5 last time you only need to complete the collection 4 times this time.

You need to buy a fashion studio from the promotions r us store to complete this hobby

image

You need to firstly accept this quest, it will remove the fashion pieces you have already created from the collection so you don’t get a head start.

image

If you say no you can start it from the goal tab:

Once you have said yes you now need to complete the collection nine times in 7 days!

Confused about time limited hobby events? This video explains how they work:

NOTE: YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL FOUR ROWS TO GET ONE HAIRSTYLE!!

12 FASHION PIECES= COMPLETE COLLECTION AND UNLOCKS 1 HAIRSTYLE

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one sim working on it
-it is easier if you have all the sims in one house, maybe build a room for them so they are all together but you don’t have to!

20140821-164936.jpg

-if you can, do the 10 minute option over and over, you will find the most designs this way (once you have a sim at level 6)
-have at least one sim at level 6 or working on getting to level 6 (maybe do 6 hour or 12 hour options) so all designs are unlocked (if you have previously completed the collection you do not need to get another sim to level 6 to complete this)
-remember to click start new collection on the fashion hobby collections list once you have got all the pieces
-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.

There is a new element now, from the hobby collection screen you can now use LPs to finish a whole row instead of using the lucky spin to find one at random. The LP price varies depending on the row you are completing and how many you have left to find in that row:

Hairstyles: Can be found in the wardrobe for female adults under hair for free

There are 12 different colours of each hairstyle; Black, Blonde, Blue, Light Brown, Dark Brown, Red, Grey, Violet, Pink, Bleach Blonde, Orange, Dark Purple

These last two come in 14 colours!

YOU CANNOT UNLOCK ALL THE HAIRSTYLES IF YOU DO NOT COMPLETE THIS QUEST IN THE TIME LIMIT

The Sims Freeplay- Bingo Hall

During the Seniors Quest you build the bingo hall, this post explains how you use it.
The bingo hall can be found on the mysterious island, it is a bit like the Competition Center, you cannot enter the bingo hall building but you send a sim there for 24 hours and they have a chance of winning S15,000!

To use the bingo hall:

1.Click on the bingo hall and a pop up will appear saying the prize is S15,000 if your sim wins, click select sim:

2.Only senior sims can play bingo, if they are busy the option will be greyed out, click on the sim you want to play bingo:

3.Your sim will be playing bingo for 24 hours, during this time they cannot do anything else and you cannot visit them:

4.Once the time is up you will need to go back to the bingo hall and it will tell you the results of the bingo contest:

You may lose:

but you could win:

Previously when I entered I never won but now it looks like they have increased the odds of winning!

Is it worth it? I rarely use the bingo hall, its a good way to make a few extra simoleons but there is a chance you won’t win and it does mean your sim cannot do anything else for a whole day.

Thanks for reading!

The Sims Freeplay- Dream Daycare Live Event

ONCE THE 11 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 3 DAYS TO PURCHASE ANY PACKS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore arts and crafts items or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!

If you want NEW toddler and infant content then this is the event for you! This is the second live event- if you didn’t partake in the French Romance one then it is very similar to a community event but this time you don’t need help from everyone who plays the sims freeplay to unlock the prizes, there are only personal prizes this time! You firstly need to update your game to the daycare update for this event to appear

This event is only here for 11 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event

NOTE: if you did the French Romance Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory, you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the playground event button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock moonlight siesta! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SPs or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the moonlight siesta pack (click on the playhouse event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the playhouse event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus gems as well if you speed it up!

Stuck on these tasks? Watch my video here:

I will add information on all prizes as I unlock them!

The grand prize for claiming all the prizes in the event is the Toddler Playground House Template, you can see how it looks in this video:

Constructor Coins

You earn constructor coins by:

Personal Progress prizes

Completing Daily Goals

Coin Plant Patches

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 480 candles,  720 pottery, 1080 jewelry or  1190 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 8 hours.

Thank you for everyone who let me know what Laura Craft does!

Do I think she is worth it? Definitely not! If she made constructor coins too then maybe but I’m really struggling to see how she is a good investment- even if I could afford her! I am shocked at how many people brought her before even knowing what she did!!

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? Unfortunately you will need to buy her again for this new event.

The Sims Freeplay- Day Care Update!

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys

The new update is out now! This post contains a sneak peak of some of the cuteness and cracking ‘egg-ventures’ to come in this Easter themed Day Care update!

This event will contain a new event- Day Care Live Event (live events if you haven’t done one before are similar to community events but don’t have community prizes, you just have personal prizes to unlock)

Click here for that post! just a note if you did the French Romance Community Event then you will find the candle arts and crafts station you need to place in the goals at the beginning of the Day Care Live Event in your inventory

Completing this event unlocks NEW ITEMS, some are shown in the pictures below:

The grand prize for completing this event in the time limit is the toddler playground template! This is a house lot with the toddler playground at the back of it and an empty plot to build your own house or day care center on it:

The only difference between building on a premium lot instead of a standard is the plot of land you can build on is bigger like all premium residences, the playground at the back is the same.

In the playground you will find a slide, swing (an adult is required for this action), seesaw, sandpit and playhouse. As well as seating and barbecues for your adult sims to use.

ALSO..

  • Of course there will be the annual Easter Egg Hunt Event
  • The Aerobics Event will be back (for those who didn’t manage to complete it last time) (complete the Grooving Guru Quest to unlock this hobby event)

It also looks like we will still be able to reverse a sims age for FREE in this update!

I was so exciting when I opened the beta and saw some of the new items!! I especially love that there are going to be changing tables for babies:

The reading island is also very cute:

And I cannot wait to build my very own daycare center!

Check out my video on the new update here:

And that’s really all I know right now, I’ll be creating posts on the new events as they are released!

Thanks for reading!
