ONCE THE 8 DAY TIME LIMIT IS UP YOU WILL HAVE 2 DAYS TO PURCHASE ANY PACKS YOU HAVE LEFT– you will not be able to collect anymore arts and crafts items or coins, you have to use the resources you have, if you don’t have enough resources all you can do is use social points to buy the requirements or wait until the event returns!
Party Time!! Complete this event to unlock new party items!
Live Events are very similar to a community event but this time you don’t need help from everyone who plays the sims freeplay to unlock the prizes, there are only personal prizes this time! You firstly need to update your game to the dance party update for this event to appear
This event is only here for 8 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event
NOTE: if you have participated in a Live Event before then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory, you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event
NOTE: I completed this on the Early Access Beta so some information may be slightly different but I will update the post as I complete the event.
Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)
Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds
This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the discoball event button in the corner of the screen)
Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the archway entrance! When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up! 
Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SPs or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time
Buy the archway entrance (click on the discoball event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)
Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)
Check the daily goals (click on the discoball event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)
Remember to claim your rewards each day!
Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)
Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!
If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SPs, you will get the bonus gems as well if you speed it up!

Restocking
Each station (apart from the first candle one) comes with a stock of 9 which means you can use the station 9 times before it needs to be restocked (if you got your stations out of your inventory they will all need restocking first (apart from the first candle one)) When you need to restock you will have two options:
- Restock 18 uses which happens instantly but will cost you 10SPs
or
- Restock 9 uses which will take you 2 hours 30 minutes but will be free
NOTE:
- if you store the station you will lose all the stock so when you place it again you will need to restock
- if you cancel making something using a station you will lose that stock so if you had one stock left and then you cancelled that action you would need to restock before you can create anymore arts and crafts items
Your Progress:
Click the discoball button in the top corner of your game to see your progress
Daily Goals
Check on the first tab every day because if you complete all the daily goals you will get additional constructor coins
NOTE: remember to click CLAIM once you have completed a daily goal to collect the reward and remember to claim your free constructor coins and free items each day!
Prize Progress
The prize progress is how far you have got on this event, the more arts and crafts items you make the more prizes you will unlock
NOTE: the bar at the top of the personal progress tab shows you how close you are to unlocking an item, the more arts and crafts items you collect the more the bar will fill up. Once you have unlocked an item on the bar at the top you will be able to use the arts and crafts items you have collected and constructor coins to purchase that pack which you will then be able to find in the home store.

Earning Construtor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LPs, I can then turn the LPs into SPs using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LPs- the social point plant now costs 20LPs so you may want to try the option below first instead:
Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant
Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 480 candles, 720 pottery, 1080 jewelry or 1190 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 8 hours.

Do I think she is worth it? Definitely not! If she made constructor coins too then maybe but I’m really struggling to see how she is a good investment- even if I could afford her! I am shocked at how many people brought her before even knowing what she did!!
If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? I believe you will have to buy her again for this event BUT everyone gets to try her out for 24 hours in this event:

I foolishly bought Laura Craft two events ago — she was definitely NOT worth the money. However, during the last crafting event, she did *kind of* show up again, without having to repurchase her. That is to say, she herself did not reappear, but every now and then I saw the bubble showing that I could get some objects from her, and I could choose which objects. Whether or not she will mysteriously “kind of” show up again during this one remains to be seen, because I can’t tell if that was a bug or not. I do see that they are offering a 24-hour free trial of an “improved” Laura Craft. I’m not sure if I should bother with that — would rather wait to see if she shows up again on her own. She’d have to be massively, vastly improved for her to be worthwhile, anyway.
Hey! Same for me! The bubble appeared when I opened the game, so I’d open the game over and over… I got 50 000 objects a day doing this 😐
I feel like it’s impossible to buy every pack if I don’t spend SPs, I have alarms every 2.5 hours day and night and I’m still far behind what’s required, so a little glitch in our favor was appreciated!
They probably have fixed it, I don’t get that bubble this time.
I feel so much compassion for the ppl that can’t be on the game as often as me..
Tips for beginners : I buy prizes on the last days of an event, so I make sure I always get the 5 coins for “unlock or buy a prize” and the 20 coins for completing everything. Coins are so precious lol.

Haha, okay so I had one of my preteen sims cramming and when he finished, it said I earned the volcano project. So I saw a little one pop up on the home tab and I clicked on it to see the volcano project was, for some odd reason, in the same category as the new event items. Just wondering, is this a glitch or just something new i’m missing? Thanks!
There is a new items tab, this is where you will find all the new items you unlock so your event items will also appear here.

Do know if Sims’ relationships will go up en. mass on the dance floor like they do at the nightclub? And their romance go up real fast when they make out on the couch like at the restaurant (as against the plaid ones in our houses)?
Every update some people seem to have issues with this tab disappearing but I have been told that it does reappear after a while.

The relationships don’t increase on the dance floor like at the nightclub and the romance relationship doesn’t seem to go up very fast on the loveseat, but it does increase.
I have my stations from a previous event but it’ll only let me use 2 out of my 4 candle stations, why? When I try to put more candle stations it just says limited object even though I have only 2 out.
Are the other two stations in your inventory?
This happened to me last time. Search your whole town and look for houses that indicate the are participating in the event by showing the disco ball. I had crafting stations located in houses I had forgotten about.
Wow, this is another event I super do not care about! The toddler event was boring (and not really worth it) to me too, I wish EA would make more stuff for seniors! Or introduce another ne wind of event, these are getting monotonous
Lara is changed this time around. You get to try her free for 24 hours. She collects everything that’s unlocked and you can collect one resource type every 2 hours. 200 candles, 300 pottery, 450 jewelry, 500 glass.
Since there’s a much lower amount of coins you have to get this time I’ll probably collect pottery for the remainder of my 24 hours. Not sure if there’s a cost change to her, but if there isn’t I probably still won’t be buying her.
At least I feel like I have a chance with the event this time…

I agree with you on the event fatigue. If one participates (and, honestly, I tend to just because I can’t seem to make myself hit no/ignore*) then it really eats into time that you can do other things in the game, such as earning money, the regular quests, or even just the fun little interactions. It kind of makes earning all the things in the even moot if you never have time to do anything with them.
*This was the first one I considered ignoring, but then I saw the party house /sigh/. But the chances of getting it is so low (without spending money or something), and frankly I don’t really even want anything of the other items that have to be purchased save for the love seats
It seems like they keep giving us new events, rather than bringing back the ones we weren’t able to finish. I’ll work on it and unlock some of the stuff, but I never expect to be able to get everything until the second go-round.
My game has super glitched since I did this update. I can’t progress past the task saying use a spin plant and the game crashes whenever I visit neighbors. I put a ticket in to fix, but by the time it does I’m going to have missed this whole event. Super sad
Why won’t it let you progress past that point? What happens when you use it?
Have you tried restarting your device, that might stop it crashing so often.
I have no idea why it won’t let me. I’ve done the spin plant tons of times and it just won’t progress. I’ve restarted the app so so many times and shut down and turned back on my iPad about 5 times now. I’m hoping they get back to me soon because I really would like to complete this event.

You will probably struggle with just 10 sims as there are a total of 13 arts and crafts stations to use and if you can use all the stations you will be in with the best chance of completing in the time limit. Don’t worry too much though because they usually bring these events back again so you can start again from the point you got to this time when it comes back.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I had no Laura Craft at all and still don’t. No free trial and can’t even purchase her. Apparently it was luck of the draw… some got her and others like me didn’t. Very unfair in my opinion. Oh well, that is EA’s loss on money.

Same happened to me, Lara was not available for purchase, no buying option anywhere including the store. I contacted Firemonkeys and opened a ticket. About 24 hrs later, I had Lara available in the game and they also sent me a bunch of SP as a gift to help me catching up with the event 🙂

Wow March Rose you are really lucky! I contacted them too and submitted a ticket, but they did nothing like that for me. Only a few days left of the event now and I still don’t have access to Laura Craft and no accommodations made either.

I submitted my ticket 3 days ago. I got an email reply with links to 3 help articles that didn’t solve my problem at all. I replied back & I’m going to communicate the problem (Laura Craft wasn’t available at all) again! I didn’t really have plans to purchase Laura, but the free trial for 24 hours would be nice, especially since time is quickly running down. 😕

I finally got a reply from Firemonkeys that they had sent Laura Craft to my game & they also sent me SPs to help me catch up in the game since I didn’t have Laura present. 👍🏻 However, I still haven’t seen Laura nor the gift of SPs!! 😐😕😒 I’m playing constantly (except at night during the 8.5 hour option) & I haven’t seen anything. I’ve restarted my device to see if that helped…still nothing. Is there something that pops up telling you about the gifted SPs?
Did you download the saved data after they told you they had fixed the issue as this is how they fix your game, so if you didn’t do this you wouldn’t have got her or your SP gift.
Weightlessmagic, I don’t remember seeing any data to download on my device that I mostly play on. I just saw the option to “upload save data”….nothing to download.
Which would be why you didn’t get the items back in your game as once they fix the issue, the fix is in the version you need to download from the cloud to apply these to your game.
I cannot get this update to run. Since updating, The Sims Freeplay crashes every time I open it

Did anybody else notice we lost all the architect homes in this update? Plus, now the dog bone gets stuck to the dogs (or at least the puppies) like the lobster toy 😦 I really hope these things are fixed soon…

Last time i couldn’t compete the daycare one because did not get enough constructor coins.
Its very hard to say as how many constructor coins you will earn is mostly just luck but there are less coins needed in total so that should make it easier!

First of all, thanks for all your help. I’m a new player and your blog is amazing. It says the party house is ‘Unlocked by claiming all of the prizes above’. What do they mean by ‘claim’? Do I have to purchase each pack once unlocked or simply unlocking them is enough to win the house? Thanks.
You’re welcome! Claim means you need to purchase each of the prize packs using your arts and crafts items and constructor coins. Once you purchase them all you will unlock the party house.
I’ve had some weird glitches with this update. But a weird one is I’ve had sims switching of their own accord to places they shouldn’t be. Example: I had a sim cooking in the kitchen at one of my houses where I’ve got some of the candle stations set up and I went to check on another house, came back about ten minutes after only to find another sim who’d been at his own home cooking instead and the sim that had been cooking is at their own home.
I’m not sure if i should report this? Or if this has always been an issue? I mean, I guess it’s not that big of a deal, it’s just a little weird. Far more frustrating is that it seems this update has caused the game to lag sometimes on my tablet.
Oh thats a weird one! You could always report it so they are aware of it, even if they don’t fix it for you this update it hopefully should be fixed for the next one!
For the lagging have you tried restarting your device before opening the game? That usually fixes it for a while.
For some reason I am only able to use one candle station. It says I have 4/4, but it also says “Limited Object.” Do I have to wait a certain amount in time in order to have access to the other 3 stations? Thanks in advance!
Have you participated in a live event before? If so you will either find them in your inventory or have a look around your simtown, you may not have stored them from the last time.

I managed to finish it but I did end up buying SPs. 😐 I had plenty of items (candles, jewelry, etc): it was still the construction coins that got me! There weren’t as many to get this time which is good but there *has got* to be an easier way to get them. Plus I was in the group of players that posted about not getting Laura Craft in this event at all. I was told by EA/Firemonkeys that Laura had been sent along with some additional SPs to my game. I never got anything…😕😠
How many hours do your Sims work at the workstations? 2, 4, 6 or 8?
If you do the shortest option as much as possible you will earn the most arts and crafts items.

Hi, I don’t have the option to restock my station for 2 times for 10 seconds. I still have to do the 2 1/2 hour option one for 9 restock. I don’t have Lara Craft either. I put a ticket in with EA for Lara but I wasn’t sure about the ten second restock if it was just a beta thing that only you got?.
You only get to restock for 10 seconds when completing the goal to restock, after that it takes 2 hours 30 minutes.
I hate the spin plant now. It’s not generous unlike before. I used to get 8 constructor points in the last event. Now it’s just 2 or 1. Nice play ea

I bought laura craft during the chateau event (for some odd reason). then, during the daycare event, the sign was there to purchase her, but i didn’t have to because every time i closed and opened the app (or visited neighboring towns and returned home) i was able to collect resources from the little bubble that appeared above her, except that she wasn’t there at all. now for this event, i don’t even have the sign outside the houses, no option to buy her again (not that i would) or do the free trial.
For some reason some people don’t seem to have the option to purchase Laura Craft this time, sorry about that!

Granite is a resource used to upgrade one of monuments on the mysterious island.
I saw this new update but I’m not ready to start the event yet because I’m busy with exams so I just haven’t updated it (my phone updates aren’t set on automatic).
If I wait to update later when I’m ready to start the event, will I miss the opportunity or will the 8 days countdown from that time?
If you wait then you will miss the chance to participate in this event as it is only around for a limited time but it might come back again one day!

Ugh do you know whether the CC spins are fixed? I’m missing a little over 200 coins – I’ve got all the other required resources though. It’s the same thing as during the last events – my best spin so far were triple ladybugs – twice. Today, I had to spin 7 times for 10 coins… Do you know whether there’s any way to get better odds? Cause I’d really love to finish an event once more…

Just seems to me like some people are just always unlucky with the spin plant (me included!) and other people seem to do really well which is frustrating for those of us who always get 1-2 coins! Unfortunately there isn’t a way to get better odds, you could try the mega spin plant for 25SPs but this still doesn’t guarantee a large amount in return.

Does anyone know why I was only given 3 days to complete this Event?! As if it wasn’t hard enough.
That is what happens if you update too late, you don’t get the full amount of time unfortunately.
Will we be offered a time extension like an extra three days at the end of this event like some of the other ones?

First off, just wanted to say I love your blog! Thought about making one myself (before I found yours) many years ago, but never have I had the time needed to dedicate myself to both the game/blog and real life, let alone time to the game the way I want/real life, so props for that! Anyway, I have taken a 32-week hiatus to focus on real life issues going on and just started playing again during the last 3 days of the daycare event, so I never bothered with the Laura Craft, and have hesitated about using her free for 24 hours until I unlocked the glassware station, now that I have, where would you suggest I use her (or use her most often)? I considered the candles so I could use that for the spin plant for constructor coins (I have less than 20sp so haven’t been using any of them since this live event started) but didn’t know if another area might be a more profitable angle..my goal of course being the house everyone else is after, of course lol. Thanks in advance for any advice given!!! =)

I used her on the glassware station because it seemed to take quite a while to unlock the glassware station this time so I thought I could do with the boost, otherwise I would have used her for the candles.

What are the small/individual dance tiles like? I haven’t seen any photos and they don’t appear in the standard house. I also wondering how much they cost in comparison to the large tiles, after being unlocked.

Well I managed it! But I suspect I wouldn’t have, or it would have been just barely (or a need to use SPs on a Mega Spin plant) had I not gotten lucky once with 125 coins on one spin. Seriously though, for the most part, I would only get 1 or 2 so I concur with the conversation above about how ungenerous the spin plant is.
Are those spinning purple and blue wall lights exclusive to the party house template, or is there somewhere else to get them?

Ugh. The constructor coins are the real pain in this events! I only have 2 more to unlock but then at the last hours of the event I tried the spin plant and just only getting 1 CC at the spin plant.
I agree! So many people say they have managed to complete it but I had one left still due to lack of constructor coins given! 😦
Yay! Completed the quest with 19 hours to spare, no social points spent! Thank you EA for finally doing the math on an event! I did use Laura Craft, however I think it might have been possible without her, as well. Nice for a change! Satisfying.
Well I had one thing left to get, still didn’t have enough constructor coins.. 😦
ME Too, I need still 120 coins… I really hope I can make it. I’m hoping to be able to get more constructor coins but I have had so many 1 coin spins that it’s ridiculous 😦
How is it that we can only build the house if we collect everything if it says I have a couple thousand to collect until I unclock it??
Because that is the prize for completing the event, you complete the event by buying all the prizes using your arts and crafts items and constructor coins.
Wow. I have 2 things left to claim but I’m low on constructor coins for both smh. The one event I get close to beating 🤦🏽♀️
So I’m at the point where if I want to spend $15 for 110 sp can get the party house, I spent the same for the French chateau last time. I don’t know if it’s worth it though…..Do you think this event will come back soon? If it does, would you recommend unlocking the harder prizes this time so it will be easier to get the house next time?
I don’t know if this event will be back soon, or at all but it probably will be back one day! That is one way to do it so it is easier next time, if you aren’t that bothered about the event you could just purchase the prizes you want the most first.

I’ve managed to get my last coins using the spin plant with 40 seconds to spare lol Then I had to spend 30 sp to buy the house, but I still think it’d worth it. This is the first time I complete one of these events and I didn’t need to spend any real money, I hope I can do the next as well. Prom clothes don’t excite me that much, but I can’t wait for the laundry and the teen events. I love new furniture!
What is the minimum number of coins you win from the mega spin plant? I need coins for the next prize, and am running out of candles for the regular, chintzy spin plant.

So this event is all about luck. I noticed some people manage to complete this event. But some people say they got lucky they got the 3 grasshopper on the spin plant.
It seems so! The luck is in that spin plant and it never seems to be in my favour!

I did not get the choice for Laura Croft this time – she was completely MIA. I actually got lucky on contructor coins with one of my lucky candle spins so they were not a problem, but I came up short on craft items and had to kick in some SP to get the last prize and the house. I hated having to do it , but I don’t like these events much and so wanted to get it over with in one go. I like the prizes you get, but the events eat up tons of time and the life of your sims.
Seems like all you do are these events, unlock & work new hobbies so that you’ll be ready for hobby events, and work on life dreams. There is not much time for anything else. Plus, all of this makes the baby and the preteen life stages annoying, because neither can contribute much to any of the above. Babies and preteens are basically in the way in this game now. Toddlers can at least contribute LP if you keep ’em in that playhouse for their entire childhood. Hahaha!
Hello there. I have a question about this event, will it come back again? And if does, do we need to start all over or just continue where we left off? Since I only had one more item to buy to get the house but I ran out of time. Thank you so much for this post it was really helpful.
They have brought some events back in the past so hopefully they will do the same with this one! You start from where you got to, you won’t have to start from the beginning.
