Santa is having a hard time getting his daughter Milly to take an interest in the family business, can you help save Christmas future? There are 13 sets of goals to complete in the 13 day time limit so there is a set of goals to complete each day from the 12th December, if you complete the quest in the time limit you win the Santa’s Cabin house template

You have to wait between completing each set so you complete one set per day, after completing a set you have to wait for a certain amount of time before being able to continue with the quest (the time varies depending on how long you take) unless you are behind then you will move straight onto the next set once you have completed the previous. You can use social points to skip the daybreak but it is very expensive:

TIP: there are lots of tasks that need to be done more than once, you can use LP to skip all these tasks or you can still use the maximum sims you can to complete the task but remember if you just use one sim you will run out of time (the maximum amount of sims you can use will vary depending on the level you are on in the game)

First set: Complete the first set of goals to unlock the Light ‘n’ Lumber pack (at the end of the post you can find all the information and images of all the prizes)

  • Wave at Santa- 2 minutes [inspired: 1m 54s]  (x at front of house)

  • Place a Xmas Fireplace- you can find this in the featured tab of the home store for FREE

  • Warm hands at fireplace- 24 minutes [inspired: 23m]

  • Place 10 Christmas Decorations- you can find these in the featured tab of the home store, the cheapest are the reindeer that cost S500 each (it should work if you place stored items from your inventory)

  • Build a snowman- 2 hours 30 minutes [inspired: 2h 23m] (x at front of house)

  • Sing Christmas Carols 8 times using 8 sims– 11 hours 35 minutes each [inspired: 11hrs each] (x at front of houses) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

Second set: Complete the second set of goals to unlock the Cabin Coffee Table

  • Answer the phone- 4 minutes [inspired: 3m 48s]

  • Go to the park
  • Talk to Santa- 30 minutes [inspired: 29m]

  • Accept Santa’s Request- 45 minutes [inspired: 43m]

  • Wait for Milly- 2 hours 30 minutes [inspired: 2h 23m] (park bench)

  • Ask about Milly 9 times using 9 sims– 9 hours 30 minutes each [inspired: 9h 1m each] (phone) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

SECOND SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 3 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the second set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the second set

  • Go to Santa’s Cabin (using Rudolph in the park)

  • Look in the window- 3 hours 15 minutes [inspired: 3h 5m] (from the x)

  • Inspect the footprints- 10 minutes [inspired: 9m 30s]

  • Clear snow- 10 mounds of snow using 10 sims– 9 hours 30 minutes each [inspired: 9h 1m each] (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

THIRD SET IS COMPLETE

  • Search for 36 photo parts- 5 hours 30 minutes each [inspired: 5h 14m each] (select this option on objects around your sims houses) NOTE: there is no maximum on how many sims you can have completing these tasks that require multiple sims so have as many as possible completing them TIP: if you speed up with LP you will find more coins than if you just wait for it to complete (or can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Give Ghoulia photo parts- 10 minutes [inspired: 9m 30s]

  • Dissuade Ghoulia- 5 minutes [inspired: 4m 45s]

  • Discuss Ghoulia 12 times using 12 sims– 9 hours 30 minutes each [inspired: 9h 1m each] (phone) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

FOURTH SET IS COMPLETE

Thirteenth Set: Santa’s Cabin

You will find Santa’s Cabin under the driveway homes tab on a standard or premium residence, the first one is free, after that the cost in simoleons depends on how many houses you have already built. You can add up to 4 cars to this house lot.

The other three car parking spaces need to be unlocked by purchasing with simoleons:

  • Additional Space One: S250,000
  • Additional Space Two: S750,000
  • Additional Space Three: S1,500,000

Once you purchase an additional space you will be able to add another car but you need to have more than one adult/senior sim living in this house to add more than one car otherwise it will just switch their car to the new one you have just brought. For example if you wanted 3 cars in this house you need 3 adult or senior sims living in this house.

The house is the same on both the standard and the premium residence, the only thing that differs is the garden on the premium contains a barn for hosting Christmas parties!

I prefer this house on the standard residence, I really like the house and the surrounding area although I don’t think the texture on the roof is right- it just looks white rather than like snow but I don’t think it needs the barn in the garden on the premium residence, it doesn’t add anything special in my opinion!

  1. Thank you very much GirlWhoGames for contacting the team about the number of sims required for a task in this quest. It’s absolutely ridiculous. They make some of the tasks impossible to complete so we have to spend real money to complete them

    • The quest “ talk to milly with santa “cannot working because the sim person has to remove object to talk to milly and im stuck in this quest i dont know how to make milly move she sat on the sofa infront of fireplace and above her is chandelier i think the problem is the chandelier i cant come up to milly and talk to her please help me 😦 !!!!

  2. Thank you again for everything you do! I always, always check your blog, and it makes the game so much easier. I highly doubt I’ll be able to complete this quest because I don’t have enough sims to do the tasks that require lots of them, unfortunately, but I’ll give it a try!

    • You’re very welcome! You may need less sims if you are on a lower level, these are just the max amount of sims you would need also they have changed the amount of sims needed to have discuss finding Anna on day 7 from 18 to 9 so hopefully this makes it more manageable for you. Good luck!

      • I just did that task to discuss Anna and used 18 + sims it wasn’t enough, I have to do it again, it says only 11 discussions completed!!! So now that’s 18 hours to complete this task 😡

  3. Thanks for another great post! Do all of the day’s tasks have to be finished within the 24-hour time limit in order to get that day’s prize? In other words, if it takes you 26 hours to complete a set of tasks, do we still get the prize and just have 2 hours less to complete the following day’s tasks or do we lose the prize for the day that took 26 hours?

    • Thanks! You don’t need to complete it in 24 hours to win the prizes, if you are running behind you will move on to the next set of goals once the previous set has been complete so you don’t have to wait for the next day but you will still get the prizes for each set of goals you complete.

  6. Hi! Thanks for another fantastic post! I’m super excited about this event, and I can’t wait to win Santa’s Cabin!

    Just wondering though, have you heard back from the makers regarding this from day 7?:

    “Discuss finding Anna- 18 sims need to have a discuss with another sim- 11 hours 35 minutes each [inspired: 11hrs each]
    This means at level 55 we need 36 sims to complete this at the same time which is impossible and we would have to do it twice taking over 22 hours! It wouldn’t be such a problem if there weren’t any other long tasks today but it would take over 30 hours to complete this day! I have let the makers know this so hopefully they will reduce the amount of sims needed before this quest begins”

    I’m on level 54, but I only have 28 Sims of 33, including 2 teens, 2 preteens, 2 toddlers, and 2 babies. Questwise, I’m stalling on Higher Education to bank Simoleons (I’m at about 3.5 million), and I have fewer LP than I’d like to because this does look SUPER expensive! I use your Cooking Hobby technique and it’s awesome! (I have a dishwasher too, which is really helpful at cleaning up all those piles of plates!)

    • Thank you for your kind words and thank you for reminding me to update this! This has been changed from 18 to 9 sims so 18 sims will be needed to complete this at the same time rather than 36 making it more manageable! Good luck!

  7. Hi! With the actions to a certain amount of items, eg the 174 traces of the grouch, how many sims would you recommend was used? All of them? Thanks

    • Hi Bea,
      I can’t help now for this quest but hopefully I can help you and maybe others for future ones with the following info:

      So, this task was 6 items minimum per Sim; you needed max 29 Sims. Usually, 1 less Sim will be okay because you will get enough Sims giving you an extra +1. So for this task, 28 Sims would’ve been enough since you’d have a few 7s that add up to an extra 6! 😉

      How do I know this?
      In the future, if you can keep track of how many the previous BIG task produced (on the previous day), you can guess that it’ll be +1 on the next day, but not always I think… So, you can rely on another trick, which is to try and divide the total by 4, 5, 6, 7, etc.
      In this case, 174 only divides nicely into 6 leaving no remainder!

      If it’s still not clear, here’s a bit more detail:
      For day 12, you had 2 tasks that tell you that it was 5 items per Sim and 26 Sims total:
      – “Search for 130 herbs” (divides nicely into 5 – with no remainder; 130 ÷ 5 = 26 Sims)
      – “Search for the turkey using 26 sims” (also tells you that 26 is the number of Sims)
      So both those tasks on that particular day needed 26 Sims. But, remember that you can use 25 and be totally ok, but ONLY for the 1st task (“Search for 130 herbs”) because a few Sims will give you 6 items (herbs) instead of the expected 5!

      For day 13, you didn’t have that 2nd task telling you the number of Sims, but when you use the 2nd trick and divide 174 by 6, you’ll (hopefully) notice that there’s no remainder! 😉

  8. Hi, It’s Dec 12 an this quest hasn’t popped up for me. I’ve been playing since October and the Halloween quest didn’t pop up either. What should I do?

  9. I’m on level 36 and have 24/26 sims, including one infant, two toddlers and a preteen. I only needed 5 sims to sing carols, so it does seem like the fewer sims you have the fewer you need to complete tasks. 😁

    Also, since there is no timer on the daily tasks, do you know when does the next day begin? Is it midnight? I have done a Christmas quest years ago (but had to restart my Sims game from scratch when my phone broke which is why I’m relatively low level) and I can’t recall if it’s midnight or like 6am that it restarts. I want to say it was around 6am?

      • Hi Olive and Weightlessmagic,

        Hope this helps but, I live in the US in the Central Time Zone. Now that we’re on Standard Time, my timed quests (Live Events, Sim Chase, this one, etc) all start at 1am IF I’M PLAYING AT THAT TIME. I’m a night owl, so I’m usually up playing that late. If I happen to go to bed earlier, the pop-up for the event is there when I first get on in the morning.

        From what I have gathered from my time playing, whatever time you start playing that day, whether it’s 2am or 10am when the pop-up appears, that’s when your 24 hours begins for that day. So, if you start at 10am, you have until 10am the following morning to complete your tasks. My point being, that if it’s December 12 and you start at 2am, I don’t think you get 8 hours more than if you start at 10am. That’s been my experience anyway.

        For me, my ideal time to log in would be late afternoon so I could tie up loose ends before my next cycle begins, and then blow through any short tasks in the quest I could with LP, then set up the long tasks for overnight or during the workday or something, but that’s my ideal schedule. Figure out what works for you, in my opinion, you want to give yourself some time to check in before your next day starts, just to make sure you didn’t miss anything, or your game didn’t crash overnight, or whatever.

        (maybe East Coast is 12, we’re 1, Mountain is 2, and Pacific is 3? just a guess…)

        (hope I’m replying to the right message 🤞)
        I just wanted to say that what you said is pretty much what I’ve always experienced as well. But, I think the official start times might be reversed for the time zones. I’m on EST and new quests usually start at 2AM for me, but only if I’m on the game like you said. If I’m not on it, then it starts the moment I open the app! 🙂
        So, it’s a good thing to not be up at late hours playing the game. Otherwise, you have be to awake each night at that hour for the goals of the next day… 😑

  10. Hi it’s the 14th Dec, I’m trying to get my sims to remove the mounds of snow but some of my sims wont leave the cabin to remove some of the snow. They’re stuck inside. What should I do?

  11. For santa cabin template, if we build it in out simtown does it come with the snow covered fir trees and the brook or do we get the cabin on a summer lot like some of your pics are showing up. I want to make sure i get the snow, the pine trees and the brook in the back of the cabin. Is it possible.

  12. Hi. Glad you are giving these walkthroughs. There is a bug on day 5. Millie sits in the middle chair at the dining room table and nobody can get close enough to her to start a chat. Have rebooted my iPad without getting her to move around. The day will finish without an early task completed.

  13. I finished collecting all the seeds on day 6 but now I can’t get to the cabin. (No rudolf and Santa takes me to his shop) and I can’t skip the task either. It’s like I’m totally stuck/glitched

  14. The glitch has NOT been fixed. I actually had 20 Sims to Discuss Finding Anna. I used LP’s to Quick Complete only to be told that ONLY 10/ 18 DISCUSSIONS WERE HELD. So in actuality, you must have 18 DISCUSSIONS not have 18 SIMS… Wow!!! 😲😲 36 SIMS ARE NEEDED FOR THIS TASK or you will not successfully complete this set.

  15. I am currently doing christmas is in the heir and when I am trying to reintroduce Anna to the ice queen it won’t do it the foot print bubble keeps popping up like something is in the way. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to fix it. Thanks in advance

  16. Hi! I have a problem with the “chat to Milly” task in the fifth day: she is sitting in one of the middle chairs in the dining room and so I can’t reach her to complete the action! I also can’t skip the task and I don’t know why. I tried everything (sending the sim home, force closing the app, even updated it) but she’s still sitting there..

  17. First, thank you! I get very angsty when I don’t know what is coming up next or if I’ll ever finish a quest. Your lists keep me on task and I know the end is in sight by following along. I also appreciate that you give max numbers of Sims needed and max time needed; it helps me to plan my day. I’m always grateful that I was aware of how many Sims I needed so they didn’t end up at work or doing some long hobby when I need them for the quests. My only beef with this one is not knowing when the days start or end. It’s nice that they still give the prize after a late finish but if we lose track, we will miss the best prize.

    • You’re very welcome, I’m glad it helps! The start time seems to be different for everyone this time, I found out mine when I completed a day early I took note of how long it said I had to wait for the next day and worked out it would start at 7am.

  18. Hi! I love your content. This is a little unrelated but I purchased LPs on my phone to help me with this quest but I usually only use my iPad for sims. The LPs haven’t shown up on my iPad version even though they’re the same account what should I do? Will they arrive? Or do they just stay on the older iCloud phone version where I’m behind by a day on the quest?

  19. It won’t let me complete action to “support milly” on the last challenge! Sims refuse no matter what house/computer I try. I’m so frustrated. Can’t use lifestyle points to skip ahead either!

  20. YOU R THE BEST!!! This is the 1st time I have finished this quest….YEAH!! the key for me was having sims COOK so I could get free LP. I was able to plan out work schedules so I had enough sims to complete tasks in a timely manner.
