The Sims Freeplay- Teen Life Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

The teen life event is back again but it’s only here for 7 days, you will need at least one teenager in your town to be able to participate in this event!

To get all 7 teen furniture and hairstyle packs you need to complete the teen idol hobby collection 7 times. You get a new pack each time you complete it, once you unlock a pack you get to keep it even if you don’t find them all.

If you completed this event last time you will not get it again, if you found some packs last time you won’t need to find those ones again, for example, if you unlocked 5 packs last time you will only have to complete the collection twice this time to finish the event.

NOTE: you need to have completed The Road To Fame Quest AND have a teenage sim to be able to start this event

You are completing the Teen Idol hobby so will need to buy teen idol instruments from the teen section of the home store, click here to read the Teen Idol hobby post

You need to firstly accept this quest, it will remove the teen idol notes you have already created from the collection so you don’t get a head start.

 If you say no you can start it from the goal tab

Once you have said yes you now need to complete the collection 7 times in 7 days!

NOTE: you can have up to 5 teens completing this event!

NOTE: YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL FIVE ROWS TO GET ONE PACK!!

15 NOTES= COMPLETE COLLECTION AND UNLOCKS 1 PACK

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one teen working on it- you can have a maximum of 5
-it is easier if you have all the sims in one house, maybe build a room for them so they are all together but you don’t have to!


-you don’t have to level up for this hobby you just need to find all 3 notes on each instrument:

  • first row- keyboard notes (1 hour, 54 minutes or 48 minutes)
  • second row- bass guitar notes (2 hours, 1 hour 50 minutes, 1 hour 40 minutes)
  • third row- drum kit notes (3 hours, 2 hours 40 minutes, 2 hours 20 minutes)
  • fourth row- electric guitar notes (4 hours, 3 hours 40 minutes, 3 hours 10 minutes)
  • fifth row- microphone notes (5 hours, 4 hours 30 minutes, 4 hours)

SELECT THE WRITE NOTES OPTION ON AN INSTRUMENT

To complete quicker have one teen on each instrument if you can! You can buy 1, 2 or 3 star instruments, if you buy the 3 star instruments you can find the notes quicker.

-remember to click start new collection on the teen idol hobby collections list once you have got all the pieces
-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.

Party Hair Prize Pack– find these in the wardrobe under hair for teenage sims 

Moody Headphones Prize Pack- find these in the wardrobe under hats for teenage sims

Poster Prize Pack– the posters can be found in the teen section

Simtone Wallpaper Prize Pack– the wallpaper can be found in the walls section 

Pro Gamer Prize Pack– the gaming stations can be found in the teen and preteen sections (they are the same two gaming stations in both sections) 

Bunkbed Prize Pack– the bunkbeds can be found in the teen section

The Sims Freeplay- Sassy Stockings Event

Early Access to Beta Provided by EA/ Firemonkeys (Presented by EA GameChangers)

THIS EVENT IS OVER

A brand new hobby event has begun, complete this event in the 7 day time limit to unlock 12 pairs of stockings, you unlock 2 styles of the stockings each time you complete the fashion designer hobby collection so you will need to complete the collection 6 times to unlock all the stockings. If you have never done the fashion designer hobby click here for details.

You need to buy a fashion studio from the promotions r us store to complete this hobby

You need to firstly accept this event, it will remove the fashion designs you have already created from the collection so you don’t get a head start.

If you say no you can start it from the active tasks tab, you will not get any extra time if you start this late.

If you already have a sim as a level 6 fashion designer (or previous have) then you will complete this a lot quicker as you aren’t waiting for all the designs to become unlocked.
It is really helpful to have loads of sims doing the hobby, and have them doing the 10 minute option over and over if possible!

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL FOUR ROWS TO GET TWO PAIRS OF STOCKINGS!!

12 FASHION ITEMS= 2 STOCKINGS

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one sim working on it
-it is easier if you have all the sims in one house, maybe build a room for them so they are all together but you don’t have to! 
-if you can, do the 10 minute option over and over, you will find the most designs this way (once you have a sim at level 6)

-have at least one sim at level 6 or working on getting to level 6 (maybe do the 12 hour option) so all designs are unlocked (if you have previously completed the collection you do not need to get another sim to level 6 to complete this)
-remember to click start new collection on the fashion hobby collections list once you have got all the pieces
-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.

The Sims Freeplay- Chocolate Lover’s Carnival Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

The limited time hobby event to unlock carnival outfits for your adult sims is back but it is only available for 7 days. There are 6 packs to unlock so you will need to complete the chocolatier hobby collection 6 times in the time limit to unlock all the outfits:

The Chocolatier Hobby post can be found here if you have never done this hobby before!

If you completed this event last time you will not get it again, if you started it last time you will start from where you got to this time, for example, if you unlocked 3 outfit packs last time you will only have to complete the collection 3 times this time to complete the event

You need to firstly accept this event, click yes then you can buy a chocolatier bench from the promotions r us store (you can buy 4 for 500 then the price increases each time, you can have a maximum of 15 or 19 if you already brought 4 previously)

Then it can be found in your inventory under hobby and career items so you can place it in your house:

12 CHOCOLATES= 1 CARNIVAL OUTFIT PACK

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-buy as many chocolatier benches as possible to have as many sims as you can working on it

-you can have a sim in a neighbours town working on it too if you don’t want to buy anymore benches!

-have at least one sim working on getting to level 6 so all chocolates are unlocked (you only need one sim to reach level 6) you may need to use LPs to speed your way through the levels- I waited until the time was 1 hour 59 minutes and used 1 LP to speed up one sim so they reached level 6

-if you do want to speed it up, wait at least 15 minutes until the timer is 2 hours 59 minutes or below then it will only cost you 2LPs instead of 3! This post may help if you want a quick way to earn LPs.

-remember to click start new collection on the top of the hobby collection list once you have got all the pieces otherwise you won’t find any new items, this post explains how to do that.

-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need- and remember these events always come back so don’t worry if you don’t complete it this time!

PRIZES

You can find the outfits for free in the wardrobe for adult sims, each pack contains one outfit for a female adult and one outfit for a male adult

I didn’t complete this event last time as I was too busy but also because I didn’t see the point of having carnival outfits, I will be completing it this time but I still don’t really want the outfits

The Sims Freeplay- Sleepwear Hobby Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

The time limited hobby event to unlock sleepwear for all your sims is back but only for 7 days! You have to complete the catwalk model collection 5 times to unlock all the sleepwear, each time you complete the collection you unlock a sleepwear for a different life stage. If you have never done the catwalk model hobby before my post here will help

If you completed this event last time you will not get it again. If you unlocked some sleepwear last time you will start from where you got to so if you managed to get 4 sets last time you will only need to complete the collection once more this time!

TIP: you can send another sim to a neighbours town to try and complete quicker (as only one sim can do it in your town at a time)

You need to firstly accept this event, it will remove the poses you have already got on the collection so you don’t get a head start.

If you say no you can start it from the goal tab.

NOTE: YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THESE BEFORE YOU CAN START THIS EVENT:

  • Build the mall (there isn’t much point starting to build this now if you haven’t already, just wait for this event to return in the future!)
  • Complete the sunset mall quest
  • Unlock area 2
  • Build the catwalk

12 POSES= 1 SLEEPWEAR PACK

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have a sim in a neighbours town so you can have two sims working on it at once instead of one

-have at least one sim at level 6 or working on getting to level 6 so all poses are unlocked, you may need to use LPs to speed your way through the levels to have the chance of unlocking all the sleepwear

-if you do want to speed it up, wait until the timer is 1 hour 59 minutes or below then it will only cost you 1LP instead of 2! This post may help if you want a quick way to earn LPs.

Where can I find the sleepwear? In the wardrobe and create a sim under sleepwear

When you change their sleepwear they will change into it when every they go to sleep or when you click change into sleepwear on a wardrobe.

you can mix and match with the teen sleepwear: choose a onesie and socks for a male, choose a top, bottoms and slippers for a female.

Is it worth completing in time? Definitely! The sleepwear is so much better than your sims sleeping in their underwear!

The Sims Freeplay- Outdoor Event

THIS EVENT IS OVER

The outdoor event to unlock new outdoor items is back for 10 days!  I am so glad this event is back! I have been waiting to be able to complete this one again for so long! You need to complete the survivalist hobby 7 times within the 10 days time limit to unlock all 7 outdoor packs. You get a new outdoor pack at random each time you complete it.

You need to have built the Campgrounds and completed the Vacationers Guide to the Outdoors Quest so you can do the survivalist hobby (I really wouldn’t bother trying to complete if you haven’t even built the campgrounds yet as the event time limit will be over before you can start)

If you completed this event before you will not get it again this time. If you got some of the packs last time, you will only need to find the ones you have left to unlock this time, for example, if you unlocked 5 packs last time you will have to complete the survivalist hobby collection 2 more times this time to complete this event.

12 SURVIVALIST ITEMS= 1 OUTDOOR PACK

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one sim working on it if you can! You can only have one sim completing the hobby at your campgrounds but you can send a sim to a neighbours to try and complete it faster

-if you are not at level 6 yet it may take you longer to find all badges, speed up with LP if possible (wait for the timer to reach 1 hour 59 minutes and you will only need to use 1LP instead of 2!)

-the cooking hobby is great for earning LP to speed up timed events, this post explains this in more details 

-remember to click start new collection at the top of the survivalist hobby collections list once you have got all the badges to be able to complete the collection again,  this post explains how to do that if you are unsure

-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly but you will eventually get the ones you need.
