YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE PREPARING FOR PRETEENS QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST

Completing this quest unlocks the restaurant once unlocked you can repair the restaurant like you repair the stables and then it will be ready to use! If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the chef outfits for your adult sims. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the restaurant but you won’t get the chef outfits

- Build the restaurant- times and prices may vary (need more money?)

time and price varies depending on how many businesses you have already but these are the requirements I had

Call a sim to the restaurant
Be nice to the Grouch- 4 minutes

Taste the Grouch’s special dish- 1 minute (click on grouch)

Complain to the Grouch- 2 hours 10 minutes

Call the first judge on a phone- 3 minutes 12 seconds

Take Wumples’ order- 5 minutes (he will appear at the house you are at)

Cook any dish for Wumples’- 1 minute (cheese on toast)

Select cooking on stove, pick dish, click on bubble above sims head when dish is ready

- Serve food to Wumples’- 10 minutes (click plate for the option)

Call the second judge on a phone- 3 minutes 12 seconds
Take Santa’s order- 5 minutes
Cook pizza for Santa- 40 minutes (you need to be level 2 at cooking and have a microwave)
Serve food to Santa- 10 minutes (click plate for the option)
Call the final judge on a phone- 3 minutes 12 seconds
Take the Grouch’s order- 8 hours 30 minutes
Make a quiche for the Grouch- 4 hours (you need to be level 4 at cooking and have a 2 star fridge and oven)
Serve food to Grouch- 10 minutes (click plate for option)
Investigate what the Grouch dropped- 5 minutes (blue X will appear at front of the house you are at)

Have a sim make a mud pie- 3 hours 30 minutes (using a garden patch)

Go to the restaurant
Give mud pie to Grouch- 4 hours 20 minutes

Open front door- S25,000- 1 hour 30 minutes

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 16 before you can start this quest

I can’t afford the restaurant, how can I earn more simoleons?

Can I build the restaurant early?
No, you cannot build the restaurant until you get the goal in this quest

How do I send my sim to the restaurant?
Go to the restaurant and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker, this post explains more about the simtracker

How do I taste the Grouchs special dish?
Click on the Grouch and select the option

How do I cook a dish for Wumples?
Click on a stove and select cooking, pick the dish (cheese on toast is the quickest but you will need a toaster) wait for it to be cooked and then click on the bubble that appears above your sims head when the dish is ready

Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it

How do I serve the food?
Click on the plates and select the option

I cannot find Wumples/Santa/Grouch! What should I do?
Firstly restart your device then try looking around all your houses in simtown for them, they have got to be somewhere!

Pizza is locked, how do I cook it?
Your sim needs to be level 2 at cooking and have a microwave at that house

I cannot make the quiche, it is greyed out, why?
Your sim needs to be level 4 at cooking and have a 2 star fridge and stove

How do I give the mud pie to the Grouch? It disappeared!
You don’t see the mud pie, just click on the Grouch and select the option to give mudpie

My game says there is something under construction when I try to open the front door, what do I do?
Firstly you need to read the pop up as it tells you exactly what is under construction, once you have go there and click on it to finish building, then you will be able to open the front door to the restaurant (it will be something you have built previously but probably just haven’t clicked to finish building yet!)

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Chef outfits

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the restaurant before you can move onto the next quest

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one

This is the first quest in the game, quests unlock new content and main quests have to be completed in order. This quest unlocks from level 6 and shows us how the cooking hobby works, once completed you will be able to earn LP quickly by completing the hobby

Watch SimChef on TV- 1 minute 30 seconds [inspired: 1 min 8 secs]

Buy a stove (kitchen section, after fridges costs S350)

Cook Bacon and Eggs on a stove- 5 minutes

you will find an item for the cooking hobby collection when you click on the bubble above your sims head once they have finished cooking

Grab a plate of Bacon and Eggs- 5 minutes (select the option on the plate) [inspired: 4 min 45 secs]

Clean up: Wash the dishes- 3 seconds (click on dish, select clean up)

Search a bookcase- 2 minutes [inspired: 1 min 52 sec] (1 star bookcase already in first house)

Buy a toaster (kitchen section, after coffee machines, 1 star costs S750)

Cook cheese and tomato on toast- 1 minute

if you use the same sim to cook both times you will reach level two in the cooking hobby

Have 2 sims in the same house: Invite a sim over (click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker)

You will not get the option until you get the goal when the quest starts

Why can’t I buy a toaster?
You need to place a toaster on a counter or table, it won’t let you buy it if you try to put it on the floor

I can’t make cheese on toast, why?
You need to have a stove and a toaster in your house to be able to make cheese on toast

How do I invite a sim over?
Click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker, this post explains more about the simtracker

Where can I find the chopping boards?

The Sims Freeplay- Careers: Scientist

Scientist is one of 8 careers your adult sims can have (not including profession careers) and this post explains all you need to know about this career.

How do I start this career?

You firstly need to build the science lab and then you will be able to select scientist from the list of careers.

Once your sim is a scientist you can click on the pulsing suitcase on the simtracker to send them to work once a day. During this time you won’t see them at work and you cannot go to the science lab, on the simtracker it will just say they are at work, once the time is up they will arrive back at home and be rewarded with the simoleons and XP they earned for that shift. The more they work, the higher level they will reach in that career and the more money they will earn.

You can then send your sims to work again at/after 12am as it is the start of a new day.

What hours do they work?

You can send your sims to work anytime of the day for 8 hours, once they finish their shift you will receive the simoleons and XP they have earned. When they reach a new level in that career a pop up will appear to show you how much they will earn for the next shift.

What are the levels and how much money and XP do you earn for a day at work?

How do I find out what level my sim is on?

You can see this information in the occupations (career) tab. This tab is where you give your sims careers to begin with. Here you can see your sims career and the level they are on and if you click on the symbol of the career you will be able to see how much your sims earn and you can quit jobs from here too.

Can I increase my sims career level from home?

Yes you can buy the telescope from the promotions r us store or hobby and career items tab of the home store. It costs S3,490 and once placed in your sims garden you can cloud watch (during the day) or stargaze (at night) for 3 hours. During this time your career bar will increase like it does when they go to work (but slower) If you don’t want to buy the telescope you can also use the chess board in the park to play chess for 10 minutes, this will increase it too!

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE HIDDEN UNICORN QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST

Completing this quest unlocks the Toddler Playhouse hobby. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the trike for your toddler sims. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the playhouse hobby but you won’t get the trike

Have a toddler take a catnap- 30 minutes (looks like you don’t have to use the toddler bed anymore for this!)

Send toddler to swim center

Explore magic castle- 2 minutes 33 seconds

Ask wumples to read to your toddler- 5 minutes (wumples is the rabbit standing at the entrance to the swim center)

Feed toddler a snack (need an adult sim to do this but the adult is not required for the whole hour)-1 hour

Have toddler play with cat at swim center- 6 seconds

Have toddler search a tree at swim center for torn page- 8 hours 30 minutes

Talk to professor cat- 24 seconds

Have a cat holiday in the playhouse- 2 hours 10 minutes

Have a toddler dance with a tree- 3 minutes 12 seconds

I can’t find the playhouse in buy mode, where is it?

You need to complete the hobby collection first using the playhouse at the swim center, once completed you will unlock the playhouse to buy and place in your houses

Time Limited Prize: Trike

Is the prize worth it? Its a nice toddler toy but it is very expensive after the first one, all you can do is ride the big wheeled trike for 1 minute like you do in the quest

Where can I find it? The toddler section

Cost? The first one is free after this they cost S5,000 each

COMMUNITY CENTER – PRETEEN SIMS ONLY

Once you complete the Multi Story Renovations Quest your preteen sims will be able to practice karate at the community center, this is different from other hobbies as you do not earn prizes for completing a collection as there isn’t a collection!

You complete this hobby by clicking on the sparring dummy or wooden karate board on the left hand side of the downstairs of the community center, the options are:

Sparring Dummy:

One Punch- 10 minutes
Quick Duel- 1 hour
Karate Practice- 6 hours
Lengthy Battle- 12 hours

Wooden Karate Board:

Karate Chop!- 1 minute 30 seconds
Extended Session- 20 minutes

Or you can buy the sparring dummy from the preteen section of the home store for 10LP

After the time has passed come back and they will have completed the action, an exclamation mark doesn’t above your sims head in this hobby and they will not find a collectible, you will just earn rewards each time your preteen sims level up in this hobby, once you reach 100% you will level up, there are 6 levels.

Why does this hobby not show up with a collection in the hobby tab?

This and Ballet do not show up because you don’t unlock a collectible each time you complete the hobby, you only get the rewards shown above when you level up for the first time and the town value reward for further times you level up. You will receive no other rewards.
