LEVEL UNLOCKS: 11 UNLOCKS: romantic furniture and submit houses feature TIME LIMIT: 2 days PRIZE: hot tub

This quest unlocks the ability to submit your houses for a chance for them to be added to the architect houses tab so other players can build them! Find the realtor in the park to begin this quest. If you complete in the time limit you will unlock the hot tub, you can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the romantic furniture and the ability to submit your houses but you won’t get the hot tub

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has and whether a sim is inspired or not.

Ask Lucius about hubbub- 1 minute [inspired: 57 secs]

Go to work at the real estate (click on the pulsing suitcase of a sim who is a real estate agent) NOTE: keep them at work so you can see the sign for the next task

Read a real estate sign- 6 hours 30 minutes [inspired: 6 hrs 11 mins] (the sign will appear by the mailbox once a sim has gone to work as a real estate agent)

Discuss home takeover with a sim- 1 minute [inspired: 57 secs] (select the interaction between two sims)
Search for well groomed sim on simbook- 9 hours (computer)

Extend or build a room
Have a sim take a selfie- 10 seconds [inspired: 9 secs] (click on currently selected sim)

Post selfie on Lucius’s Sim Book- 6 hours

Become incensed- 2 minutes [inspired: 1 min 54 secs]

Check fine print on a sign- 12 hours 30 minutes [inspired: 11 hrs 53 mins] (the sign will appear by the mailbox once a sim has gone to work as a real estate agent again)

Buy an item from the home store
Submit house via sign (you don’t even need to submit at this stage, just click on the sign then click the green arrow to complete the task, if you don’t do it now you can submit a house later- make sure a sim is at work as a real estate agent first so you can see the sign)

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

Submit your home for a chance for it to be featured in the architect tab so anyone who plays can build your house! Click here for more information on this feature

Prize: Hot Tub

Where can it be found? In the outdoor furniture section

Cost? First one is free then cost S65,000

Is the prize worth it? This quest is really easy to complete in the time limit, as long as you have a sim to go to work as a real estate agent when you need to click on the sign! The hot tub is fairly expensive but I do think it is worth completing in time to unlock it as the first one is free!

If you don’t complete in the time limit you will still receive the romantic beds, seats and fairy lights:

Beds can be found in the bedroom section and cost S17,500 each

Fairy lights can be found in the lighting section and cost S21,000

Romantic seats can be found in the outdoor furniture section and cost S15,00 each

How do I start this discovery quest?
Find the real estate developer in the park to start this quest

Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can

Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start the quest you don’t have to do it at all but if you have already started it you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

I can’t see the sign to read it, why?
You need to send your sim to work as a real estate agent to see the sign in front of your houses

I can’t find Lucius to become incensed, where is he?
He should appear at the house you are currently at, if not try looking around simtown for him

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
The hot tub

Why can I only get one sim using the hot tub at a time?
If the hot tub is against a wall or has items around it they will not be able to access all sides to get in

Why didn’t I get a free hot tub?
The hot tub prize isn’t free, it will cost you S65,000

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the option to submit your houses and romantic furniture before you can move onto the next quest

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start it you don’t have to do it

How do I submit my house?

Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using, as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal

The Sims Freeplay- Boutique Hairstyles Review

This is my review of each of the new hairstyles you can unlock from the boutique hair event. There are 12 different colours of each hairstyle apart from the Harajuku hairstyles which come in 14 colours

You can find all the styles you have unlocked from a wardrobe or create a sim for adult females

I will be rating the hairstyles from 9 to 1 with 1 being my favourite! Although I like all of them so this was quite difficult!

9. Wavy Fringe– This is my least favourite but only because I really don’t like how the fringe is cut, I like the rest of the style!

8. Harajuku Bows– I know the title of this hairstyle would need changing but I just don’t like how many bows there are on this one, the hair itself is really nice especially in the multi colours, it could just do with a few less bows!

7. Side Part– not a big fan of hair all pushed to one side but that is just my opinion

6. Harajuku Pigtails– from the front I love this one but I think it would look better if it was just pigtails and didn’t have the loose hair at the back

5. Simply Straight– this one is very similar to the hair unlocked on the ringlet of fire quest, really like it but some of the ones in this event are more interesting!

4. Wavy– simple but classic! I think it looks great in the natural colours

3. Loose Ponytail– I really like curly ponytails, I just don’t think some of the hair bands go with all the colours, for example the orange one with the blue hair would look better in the blue or black seen on some of the other colours

2. Parted Fringe– I just love this one! It didn’t make 1st place only because I love the other one more!

1. Loose Side Plait– LOVE this one so much! It was the first one I unlocked and I could have just stopped after completing that first set!

The Sims Freeplay- Competition Center

The competition center is a good way to earn extra LP or simoleons, if you haven’t built it yet you can find out where it is in simtown from the town map
The higher level you are in a career or hobby the more chance you have of winning first prize at the competition center.

When you click on the competition center (as shown in the picture below) it will appear with a competition (I had the archery hobby) it tells you how much you will get for each placing (which is always the same, regardless of the competition you get):

1st place- 3LP
2nd place- 1LP
3rd place- S1000 and 1000XPs
4th place- S500 and 500XPs

Then you can select a sim- always go for the sim with the highest level in that hobby/career (it will tell you what level your sims are at)

For example: Zack is level 6 in archery so I would definitely use him over Hayley who has never done archery before (level 0/6)

NOTE: your sim must not be busy for them to partake in a competition, they will appear greyed out if they are busy.

Once you have selected your sim they will be busy competing for 24 hours, once the time is up you will need to go back to the competition center to see where they were placed.

If your sim is level 6 then they should come first but they don’t always!

At 9am everyday a new competition becomes available if your sim isn’t partaking in one already so keep checking back until you find one that you want to do!

NOTE: If you changed a sims career or hobby, for example if they did cooking and then you changed them to fishing their skill level for cooking will now be 0 so entering a cooking competition will earn them fourth place.

Is it worth it? I rarely use the competition center if I am being completely honest, it is a good way to make a few extra LP but it does mean your sim cannot do anything else for a whole day.

The Sims Freeplay- Pet Salon

This is going to be a very quick post as there isn’t much to say about the pet salon but I have been asked about it.

If you don’t know where to find it it is near the competition center (the location can be found on my town map post)

What can you find in the pet salon?

If you complete the A Puppy Odyssey quest in the time limit you unlock outfits for your kittens and puppies that can be brought from the pet salon

The main reason for it though is to buy collars for your adult cats and dogs so they can go to the Pet Park (which can be built once you complete the life dreams and legacies quest) to complete the Cat Show, Dog Agility and Dog Obedience hobbies!

You can also buy Christmas antlers and hats for your adult cats and dogs!

How do you buy items?

The pet salon works the same way as the sims salon, you select the pet you want then you can choose the collar, hat, headwear or outfit for them to wear and click the green tick in the corner to buy

Dog– collars, hats and headwear

Cat– collars, hats and headwear

Puppy– outfits (if you complete the A Puppy Odyssey quest in the time limit)

Kitten– outfits (if you complete the A Puppy Odyssey quest in the time limit)

How do I remove an item? Click the back arrow which is the first box on the options

If I replace an item with another one, would the first be stored? No, you would have to buy it again

How do I send a pet to the pet park once they are wearing a collar? Click on the pet and select, send to pet park

This post is about pets; it will explain about dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and rabbits, what accessories you can get and how they interact with your sims. If you want to know how to buy a pet please read the Pet Store post.

How can I get my pet to use the accessories? Most items you click on the item and select call over, most of the time if they aren’t busy they will use it but they sometimes use items without being prompted.

NOTE: food and water bowls need to be filled up once a dog has emptied them, you can either get a sim to click on the bowl and select fill or you can store the bowl in your inventory and get it out again and it will refill.

Do you need to buy accessories? Not if you don’t want to, no. They do use them sometimes but they are mainly for decoration. It doesn’t increase their happiness if they have these items.

How do I play frisbee with a dog? To complete this task you need to buy a frisbee and place it on the ground at a house where the dog lives, a sim can then click on the frisbee and play with the dog.

Dog Hobbies

Once you complete the life dreams and legacies quest and build the pet park your dogs can partake in Dog Agility and Dog Obedience hobbies (to take a dog to the pet park they need to be wearing a collar from the Pet Salon)

Collecting Treasure

Once you have brought the pet they will wander around the house and garden and collect treasure.

Collecting treasure using dogs

A dog will run off and a shovel bubble will appear above their head, click on it and they will dig up simoleons or LPs.

Collecting treasure using cats

A cat will run off and a exclamation mark bubble will appear above their head, click on it and they will pounce on simoleons or LPs.

NOTE: The higher the star rating of a cat or dog the more LPs and simoleons they should find

Puppies and Kittens cannot find treasure

Ageing Puppies and Kittens

To do this you need to bake a birthday biscuit on a stove (which cost 15LP and take a day to cook) then click on a puppy or kitten and select the option to Age to Adult:

You only need to bake one birthday biscuit for each pet you would like to age

Renaming a Pet

Click on the pet, select rename and you can then choose a new name for your pet

Relocating a Pet

Click on the pet, select relocate and select a sim from the list that appears, that pet will then move to that sims house

Happiness Bar

The happiness bar indicates how happy your pet is, the more unhappy they are the slower they walk and the less treasure they will find.

To make a pet happy you need a sim to click on the pet and select an option with a smiley face, for example on a dog you can shake hands or praise to increase their happiness:

Deleting a Pet

Click on the pet, select relocate and the first option is put up for adoption which will remove the pet from your game

RABBITS

can be found in buy mode under pets

What rabbits can you buy?

1 Star Rabbits cost:

S15,000
12LP

2 Star Rabbit cost:

20LP

3 Star Rabbit cost:

30LP

Rabbit Interactions with Sims

NOTE: the time the interactions take depends on the star rating of the pet

Adult, Teen and Preteen Options:

Senior Option:

Babies and Toddlers cannot interact with a rabbit

That is all you can do with rabbits, they do not find simoleons or LPs like dogs and cats

Can pets die?

No! Your pets don’t die, even when they are unhappy

There are a few other pets that you may have in your pet store but these are not mentioned in this post as not everyone has access to them as they were limited timed prizes
