The Ghost Flustered Halloween Quest is back as a Player Favourite Quest, which means you will be able to start this quest between the 30th September- 8th October to get the full 9 day time limit. These are optional so you will need to click on the green play button next to the title of the quest in the active tasks tab to start:

Complete this quest in the 9 day time limit to unlock the Halloween Sleepwear for all your sims to wear!

There are 5 sets of goals to complete, each set of goals you complete earns you a prize, the first four unlock a body paint for all your sims and the last set unlocks body paint and the sleepwear. If you completed this quest before you won’t be able to complete it again, if you started it but didn’t finish it last time you will start from the beginning but you will get 5LP when you complete each set you already completed

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

First set: Complete the first set of goals to unlock the red body paint for all your sims

Answer the phone- 48 seconds

Calm sim on a phone- 40 minutes

Search a home lot- 1 hour 40 minutes (click on candy pile at front of house)

Go to the park
Discuss paranormal activity (select option on Wizard)- 4 hours 10 minutes

Discuss paranormal scene findings (you’ll find the Wizard at one of your houses)- 1 hour 40 minutes

Travel to the Wizards cottage (click on the wizard)

View ghosts in crystal ball- 2 hours 30 minutes

Discuss stopping ghosts with Wizard Wickham (go home first)- 5 hours 50 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE RED BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Second set: Complete the second set of goals to unlock the yellow body paint for all your sims

Apply red body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the red paint to apply it to that sim)

Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the red body paint)- 4 hours 10 minutes

Still confused? You can either:

Have a sim with red body paint select the interaction to trick or treat with another sim, do this 5 times with those 2 sims, this is the longest option and I wouldn’t recommend it
Have 5 pairs of sims (10 sims), have 5 of them wearing the body paint and then select the interaction to trick or treat with another sim without red body paint on, do this with all 10 sims so you are doing this 5 times all at once to complete it quicker

Talk to Ghoulio the Ghost- 10 hours 50 minutes

Plant corn- 20 minutes (using a garden patch, can be started early)
Give corn to Ghoulio- 4 hours 10 minutes

Grow watermelon- 1 hour (using a garden patch, can be started early)
Give watermelon to Ghoulio- 9 hours 10 minutes

Ask Ghoulio for help- 4 hours 10 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE YELLOW BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Third set: Complete the third set of goals to unlock the blue body paint for all your sims

Apply yellow body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the yellow paint to apply it to that sim)

Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the yellow body paint)- 6 hours 40 minutes

This task can no longer be completed quicker with preteens!

Give Hack scaring advice- 12 hours 30 minutes

Go to the park
Talk scares- 50 minutes (click on Hack)

Approach statue- 40 minutes each (you need to complete this 3 times but 3 sims cannot complete this at the same time, you can have one sim complete it 3 times)

Ask Hack for help- 2 hours 30 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE BLUE BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Fourth set: Complete the fourth set of goals to unlock the green body paint for all your sims

Select blue body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the blue paint to apply it to that sim)

Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the blue body paint)- 4 hours 10 minutes

This task can no longer be completed quicker with preteens!

Talk hopes and dreams- 7 hours 30 minutes (click on Warts)

Apply body paint to Warts- 5 hours 50 minutes (click on Warts again)

Ask Warts for help- 50 minutes

YOU CAN NOW FIND THE GREEN BODY PAINT IN THE WARDROBE

Fifth set: Final set- unlocks more body paint and the sleepwear for all life stages

Select green body paint from a wardrobe (select browse clothes on a wardrobe, find the body paint tab and click on the green paint to apply it to that sim)

Find last ghost-2 hours 30 minutes (click on Warts)

Trick or treat with 5 sims (select the interaction between 5 PAIRS of sims (10 sims), one sim in each pair needs to be wearing the green body paint)- 9 hours 10 minutes

This task can no longer be completed quicker with preteens!

Reason with Capsworth- 5 hours 50 minutes

Pursue Capsworth to the park (go to the park)
Interrupt Capsworth- 50 minutes

Study at candy stash- 4 hours 10 minutes

Reveal truth- 10 hours 50 minutes

Speak to Wizard Wickham- 2 hours 30 minutes (click on wizard and select request backup)

Go to the Wizards cottage (click on Wizard)

Listen to ghosts- 15 hours 50 minutes

Thank ghosts- 4 hours 10 minutes

Hug Ghoulio- 1 day 1 hour

Leave Wizards cottage (you can use the crystal ball to leave or leave using the simtracker)

QUEST IS COMPLETE! YOU CAN NOW FIND MORE BODY PAINT AND THE SLEEPWEAR IN THE WARDROBE!

You cannot complete this quest or earn the prizes once the quest is over

Prizes: Body Paint

Once you complete the quest you will unlock the pink, orange, purple and grey body paints. You can find all the body paints in the body paint section for every life stage:

How do I remove the body paint? Once you have applied the body paint click on the colour you previously applied to remove it and go back to a normal skin colour!

Prizes: Sleepwear

You can find the sleepwear in the sleepwear section for all age groups, your sims will change into the sleepwear when going to sleep or you can select change into sleepwear on a wardrobe

The Sims Freeplay- Illustrious Industrial Live Event

Starts 10th September 2023

Complete this brand new live event (starts 10th September) to unlock industrial themed items and if you complete the whole event in the time limit you unlock the Illustrious Industrial house template. This event is only here for 13 days and the aim of it is to collect enough arts and crafts items from the arts and crafts stations (found in the event tab of buy mode) to unlock all the items in this event.

NOTE: if you did another Live Event then you will find your arts and crafts stations in your inventory (or in the house you left them at) you will only be able to use the candle ones until you unlock the other stations in this event

Can’t find your arts and crafts stations? Click on the craft station in your event tab to get the option to find your station, it will take you to the house where your stations can be found!

Place a crafting station (find the candle station in the events tab of buy mode (or your inventory)- you can only buy 4)

Make some arts and crafts items (click on the candle station to make)- 23 seconds

This takes you to the prize progress tab (you can get to it by clicking on the button in the corner of the screen)

Here you will see you have collected enough items to unlock the Chic Concretes pack. When you unlock each pack, before the items are available in your home store you need to purchase them with the arts and crafts items you make- this goal is coming up!

Restock a crafting station (when the stock runs out you will have to restock before you can make anymore arts and crafts items)- You can restock instantly for 18 uses for 10SP or restock for 2 uses which will take 10 seconds this time

Buy the Chic Concretes pack (click on the event button, scroll down and click purchase- this will cost you 50 candles)

Use a coin flower patch (buy the coin flower patch from the event tab and select the spin plant option)

Check the daily goals (click on the event button and find the daily goals tab- claim the ones you can!)

Remember to claim your rewards each day!

Collect bonuses (while collecting after a certain amount of time you will see the arts and crafts item appear above that sims head, click to collect the bonus item!)

Continue collecting arts and crafts items- this is the last step but the event is not over, keep collecting the arts and crafts to unlock everything!

If you want to speed up a collecting arts and crafts action it will cost you SP, you will get the bonus arts and craft items as well if you speed it up!

Happy (inspired) sims will collect arts and crafts items quicker:

2 hours 23 minutes

Sad sims will take longer to collect arts and crafts items:

2 hours 38 minutes
4 hours 44 minutes
6 hours 49 minutes
8 hours 55 minutes

Restocking

Each station (apart from the first candle one) comes with a stock of 7 which means you can use the station 7 times before it needs to be restocked (if you got your stations out of your inventory they will all need restocking first (apart from the first candle one) When you need to restock you will have two options:

Restock 18 uses which happens instantly but will cost you 10SP
or
Restock 9 uses which will take you 2 hours 30 minutes but will be free

NOTE:

if you store the station you will lose all the stock so when you place it again you will need to restock
if you cancel making something using a station you will lose that stock so if you had one stock left and then you cancelled that action you would need to restock before you can create anymore arts and crafts items

Your Progress:

Click the event button in the top corner of your game to see your progress

Daily Goals

Check on the first tab every day because if you complete all the daily goals you will get additional constructor coins

NOTE: remember to click CLAIM once you have completed a daily goal to collect the reward and remember to claim your free constructor coins and free items each day!

Prize Progress

The prize progress is how far you have got on this event, the more arts and crafts items you make the more prizes you will unlock

NOTE: the bar at the top of the personal progress tab shows you how close you are to unlocking an item, the more arts and crafts items you collect the more the bar will fill up. Once you have unlocked an item on the bar at the top you will be able to use the arts and crafts items you have collected and constructor coins to purchase that pack which you will then be able to find in the home store.

This template can be found under the driveway homes tab and built on a standard or premium residence, the first one is free then they cost simoleons depending on how many houses you have already built. You can add up to 4 cars to this house lot!

The house is the same on the standard and premium residences, the only difference is the garden on the premium included an outhouse:

I quite like this house on the standard residence, I am confused as to the purpose of the outhouse on the premium- it is a living, kitchen and dining room all in one (not much point when the main house has this already!) I think it would work better if it had a bed in it to make it into a guest house.

Earning Constructor Coins? Previously on these events I used social points on the Mega Spin Plant to win constructor points. I earn social points by completing the cooking hobby and earning LP, I can then turn the LP into SP using the social point plant on a normal garden patch- this was when it cost 5LP- the social point plant now costs 20LP so you may want to try the option below first instead:

Or you can use 450 candles for the Spin Plant (a good way to use up any spare candles) which will also earn you constructor coins but the amounts are less than they are from the Mega Spin Plant

What is the minimum and maximum amount of coins you can earn on the mega spin plant? The minimum is 10 and the maximum is 500

Now on the coin flower patch you can see the chances of getting the different combinations on each spin plant, click on the green i button to see:

Laura Craft? You may have noticed at the front of one of your houses there is a board with a bubble of a person holding arts and crafts items above it, this is Laura Craft, you can buy her for real money to help you complete the event. When you buy her, you select the item you want her to make from the options: 200 candles, 300 pottery, 450 jewelry or 500 glassware (the amounts seem to differ for most of you and I have no idea why that is!) (you will unlock all the options once you have unlocked all the stations) and you will be able to collect them after 2 hours.

Do I think she is worth it? They have improved Laura Craft a lot since the first event (although it would be great if she made constructor coins) she used to be able to collect every 8 hours, they have now changed this to 2 hours so she is more useful now so if you are struggling then you may want to splash out and give her a try but remember you will only get her for this event, you will have to buy her again to use her for a live event in the future. I personally don’t ever buy her, if I don’t manage to earn enough items or coins in the time limit I just wait until the next time the event is available!

If I brought Laura Craft in the last event do I get her for free or do I have to buy her again? You have to buy her again for this event.

Once the event is over it will convert your unused resources into simoleons, the conversion rate is half the amount of resources, for example, if you have 10,000 candles left over you will earn 5,000 simoleons, if you only have 1 of a resource left over you will only earn 1 simoleon. When a new live event becomes available you start from 0 resources

If I don’t complete this event this time will I have to start from the beginning when it returns? No, you will start from where you got to this time!

If you start the 9 day pregnancy event anytime during the time frame you have the chance of earning the maternity items in that pack if you complete the event in the time limit, for example if you start a pregnancy event on the 15th October and complete in the time limit you will earn the items above

You need to have completed the first pregnancy event in the A Bump-y Ride Quest before you can earn the maternity prizes

Returning Events?

The Mean Curls Hair Hobby Event (no longer available) will be returning on 7th September for 7 days, complete the fashion designer hobby in the time limit to unlock hairstyles for adult sims

The Ghost Flustered Quest (no longer available) will be back on 30th September for 9 days, complete in the time limit to unlock body paint and Halloween themed sleepwear for all age groups

The Gallery Francais Live Event (no longer available) will return on 2nd October for 10 days, complete in the time limit to unlock gallery themed items and the gallery template

The Sims Freeplay- Prepped for Prom Hobby Event

The time limited hobby event that unlocks prom clothes for your teenage sims returned on the 29th July! (sorry for the late post!) Be quick it is only around for 7 days! To get the prom outfits you will need to complete the fashion designer hobby collection 8 times in the 7 day time limit. If you have never done the fashion designer hobby click here for details.

You will need to have completed the teenager quest to be able to complete this time limited hobby event

If you completed this event last time you will not get it again, if you got some of the outfits last time you will only have to find the ones you have left, for example, if you got 5 last time you only need to complete the collection 3 more times.

You need to buy a fashion studio from the promotions r us store to complete this hobby

If you haven’t started the fashion designer hobby yet click here for details on how to complete the hobby

You need to firstly accept this quest, it will remove the fashion designs you have already created from the collection so you don’t get a head start.

If you say no you can start it from the active tasks tab, you will not get any extra time if you start this late.

YOU NEED TO COMPLETE ALL FOUR ROWS TO GET ONE OUTFIT PACK!!

TIPS FOR FINDING THEM ALL IN THE TIME LIMIT:

-have more than one sim working on it, you can have as many sims as you want completing this hobby at once but you will need a fashion studio for each of them
-it is easier if you have all the sims in one house, maybe build a room for them so they are all together but you don’t have to!
-if you can, do the 10 minute option over and over, you will find the most designs this way (once you have a sim at level 6)
-have at least one sim at level 6 or working on getting to level 6 (maybe do the 12 hour option) so all designs are unlocked (don’t know if you already got a sim to level 6? If you have previously completed the collection you reached level 6 or you can see when you look at the hobby collection, if boxes are greyed out you haven’t completed it yet)
-remember to click start new collection on the fashion hobby collection once you have got all the pieces
-most importantly: just keep going! I know it’s annoying when you get the same one constantly (those heels are a nightmare!) but you will eventually get the ones you need.

NEW SUPERYACHT EVENT

From 29th July you will be able to begin the SuperYacht 2 Event, the first SuperYacht Event was released in January, this one is very similar (and similar to Downtown Developer Events) but with different prizes. Read my walkthrough post here for more information (SuperYacht 2 info has been added!)

Why is this update called Creator’s Choice? This update is dedicated to the EA Creator’s for The Sims Freeplay (I am one of them!) A few months ago we voted on which events we would like to make a return. EA Creator L’UniverSims picked the theme of Victorian Fantasy for this update. Finally TorbenLaux, Keelly_Sims and I have created an Architect Homes house each that will be available in the game from 27th July!
