No, you have to wait until you get the goal in the quest before you can build the bingo hall
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
How do I get 5 sims in a house?
Click on the whistle next to sims who aren’t busy on the simtracker from the house you want them at

Learned this the hard way… Do these quests with adult sims.
I started this quest line with a pre-teen because at the time, it was the only sim that I didn’t have occupied. While I didn’t note how long, the quest times of the first two were in HOURS… not seconds or minutes.
I used LP to move through them, started the third (listed as 9 hours) and went to bed. When I got up, there was still 5 hours left and over the course of the morning, I noticed that the timer seemed stuck. I shut down, cleared my cache and re-booted my tablet. Then I got a warning that I needed to use a Senior to complete these quests… (huh?)… don’t have seniors yet…
Logged here to find your breakdown and was surprised that all of the early steps are in minutes & seconds… not hours…
Anyway, it’s pretty evident that there’s a bug in this that messes with the timer if you’re using a sim that’s not an adult (well, definitely a pre-teen… not sure about a teen….)

I made the mistake of putting on the warn sims on the soap box with a different sim to start it early and it didnt work so I had to use 23LPs to complete it with the sim who made the future self

Well, after cancelling out the pre-teen, I was able to restart the quests with an adult.
The whole line reset with the adult and I never got “credit” for the actions that I had used LP to complete… bummer, since I had accidentally spent all but a small handful on a furntiure purchase that I <> was in my inventory… POOF! 150 LP gone, leaving me like, 4, before I realized that I was in the store and not my inventory!
Anyway, I was 7 hours into the soapbox when I read your post about being the same sim… so I brought her home from work and now SHE’s on the box… My timer says I’ve got two days so hopefully that last 24 hours will be enough to complete once this chic gets off the box.
This was such a major update, I’m not surprised that there are bugs…, but boy, it’s frustrating when you think you’re playing by the rules, only to find that you’ve lost LP and time (in a time-limited challenge) to a glitch. Since most of my LP are gone, I won’t even be able to expedite beyond the few that I can generate with my hobbies. We’ll see…

3 days isn’t long enough when so many of the tasks are really long!
They just do these things so you buy LPs using real money

You must remember which one investigated the door and created the future self? if not click on the future self, it should say their name
I am up to devoted dance at the moment (after having to spend 35LP on the snow park as I hadn’t built it), and I have added up the times and it comes to 2.76 days so far! 3 days is definitely not long enough to complete this unless LPs are used!
I know, its ridiculous! They just want us to buy LPs with real money!
I think EA are conniving. There has been complaints for ages that the quests are too long and the time limit unrealistically short and yet they continue torturing us.These 2 new quests are much harder and longer to complete than I have ever done with the others! What I find worse is that we spend hours completing the quests (I personally have never been so emotionally and time invested in freemium games) and to unlock rewards,we have to spend real money on real LPs.Why are they such sadists?I want to give up on this game but I can’t because I’m too far into this game already.
They definitely are unrealistic if they think you can complete a set of tasks in 3 days when several of the goals take a day to do!

Ya after I saw the wardrobe rubbish I figured who needs an exercise bike. Im sure eventually you will see it in the home store for less LP’s than it takes to finish on time….

what i do is try to find task that you can do 2 at a time and i have one sim do one another do the other, so when its time for the task, its already done, just click the sim. save a ton of time

I’m not sure, I tried it with a different sim at home and that didn’t work so I would stick with the same sim to be on the safe side!
I had a teenage sim do the ice skating rink and it worked fine
I didn’t want to risk it seeing as it didn’t work the first time! I’m not going to waste another day! 😛
I was in the same boat, trying to start it early and whatnot.. Ended up having to use LPs. Just to clarify – you don’t have to use the same sim, but there are 2 different “Warn Simanity” things.
One is the regular @ 1800 exp (doesn’t work) and the 2nd is @ 1200 exp (does work) but the kicker is that there will only be 1 option when on the soapbox, which is to Warn Simanity. The one that doesn’t work has the regular 4 options.
It’s difficult to explain, but the quest has to be in progress to get the soapbox with 1 option.. there isn’t a way to jumpstart it.
Well I had all 4 options when I redid it with the same sim!
It’s stupid, we used to be able to jump start goals and now they are making it impossible to do that!
I haven’t started the adulthood or senior quests, but my adult sims still have the option to have a birthday. Don’t I need to complete the quests before they can become seniors?

Nothing happens…you get a message that you need to finish the Seniors quest first.
You get the error that you have to complete the quest first. :). I tried before I started the quests. Hehe
I clicked it because of some stupid curiosity during the adulthood quest but then it says that we should first complete the adulthood quest for us to be able to age our sims to seniors.
By the way, i really liked your page for these quests. It’s really helpful for me in the adulthood quest. Though the extended wardrobe isn’t that great anyway. But still, thank you so much! 😉

After the skate 1day one you have to snowball fight for 2 hours then go back to park be nice to future self then you have to build the bingo hall (which has a 36hr build time!!!) I only have 24 hrs left and only 70% through so will have to use up some serious LP on the build of the bingo hall 😦 3 days defo not enough!

I read on firemonkeys that when you finish the second quest on time to get the excercise machine, it still will cost you 15,000 simoleons. I wanted the excercise machine but defiantly not that bad.

A 24 hr fishathon after the bingo hall build????? That would be a 60 point LP spend!! I’m not prepared to waste that many, the exercise bike is not worth it! it’s taken me weeks of working the carpenter hobby for LP, they’ve already taken away the bonuses for the carpentry items how long before they make it impossible to earn the LP on them, I’m stockpiling all the LP I can while I can as I refuse to buy them!

Nope, 24 hour Fish-a-thon…start now, and stay away from the park until the Bingo Hall is finished. After that, the longest task is 5 minutes.

After blowing all my LP on the senior quest I realized that the 3 days to complete was a joke. Not only are there a couple of 1 day tasks, you also have to build the senior center which is going to take 36 hours. I can’t believe they want us to spend real money to by LP to complete the quest just to receive an exercise bike. I feel differently about sims freeplay now that I know they never intended on you completing the goals in 3 days. We shouldn’t have to “pay to play”. =(

After the ice skating is it done?? My quest is 68% and I only have 1 day and 22 hrs.tsss i think they force us to use LPs. All of my sims cant even go to work just to do hobbies and make LP. Even my pre-teen is working hard to make LP LOL! Im on ice skating part tho. Pls update. Thanks more power.

Very discouraging reading this thread… (I hope that EA is reading here because they’re setting themselves up to lose folks who really enjoy playing.)
I know that this is a touchy topic for folks, but I don’t have problems with micro-purchases in free games that I enjoy. Programmers have to eat too and if a micro-purchase keeps them from abandoning an activity that I’m enjoying, then I’m ok with an occasional purchase. (It ends up being less expensive than a subscription-based model for me…)
Anyway, while I’m happy to spend real money on a micro-purchase for something that I want, it works in the other direction too. I resent feeling pressured into a micro-purchase that is dictated by an unrealistic in-game timeline. And once it stops being fun, I’ve got no problem walking away, even if I’ve got hours vested in the game. Not gonna continue adding good time (or money) once the pot begins to sour… there are lots of other things competing for that pot.
We’re coming off of a few longer term timed quest-lines that did require attention to the clock… I think I completed one of the holiday lines with minutes to spare… I’m hoping that I can do this; and while I do want that bike, I’m not going to go nuts to get it… definitely not spending money to get it. Probably won’t make any more micro-purchases if it’s not obtainable though.
I just find most games in app purchases so expensive, but I know that there will always be someone who buys them whatever they cost (that’s why they do it)
I do sometimes buy a game if I’m unlocking the whole game but I wouldn’t buy LPs because I can get them quite easily
I do agree though, they are making these quests impossible so we buy LPs and I think that isn’t fair- the Christmas one was the start of this pressure, it’s called sims FREEplay not sims SPENDREALMONEYplay! 😛

Same here. Put off by having to use LP to complete impossibly times tasks. I was happy to buy LP when I wanted some of the Xmas stuffs, but not this.
I don’t have issues with micro-purchases either, except EA is having some issues with theirs. I bought the flower to get LP, and it didn’t go through the first time so I did it again and it worked. However, I later found I was billed for two. I was sending in a request to be refunded or credited, and it said if I did that I would no longer receive the app updates. I tried contacting EA another way about it and that came to nothing. So I’m hesitant to do micro-purchases for a company who doesn’t respond. Then to have this happen. Yeah, I don’t intend to put any more money into Sims Freeplay, though I really still want the dress-up chest for the kids! It was cool they let the Toddler Girls dress up as witches for free! She took forever to do her tasks because of how slowly she “sneaked’ around, but it was so worth it!

You will end up using at least 80 LP’s to finish the quest on time. I just kept on playing the four minute hobbies on all my sims for two days and collected about 65 LP’s. Just enough to get the quest done. This quest will force anyone addicted to this game to either buy or work on the LP’s so, it is your choice.
I think it’s unfair that they have made this quest just so we buy LPs!
How do you get LP by practicing a hobby? My hobbies only award XP!
I only get them in a hobby by completing a set once I have got all the other rewards, so if you are fashion designing the first time you complete you get the outfits, the second time is a hat and the first time and times after that is LPs
I get quite a few LPs from catching ghosts when ghost hunting. Other than that I get it when I complete a full hobby collection again.

You can still build it and complete the quest you just wont get the exercise bike
They want you to spend real money on LP. But you can finish the quest, you just won’t get the bike, which isn’t even free when you get it (it’s 15,000 simoleons).

It can take a while after you’ve invited the friend (and after they’ve accepted) for the servers to catch up. I’ve only got two neighbors but both of them took over 24 hours (after I sent my invites) to register and be available to visit.

I think you have to skate at the snow park, that’s why the quest said to go there. Anyway, the Sim I’ve been using didn’t have the hobby of figure skating, so now I’ve had to reset his hobbies. Which sucks. >.> But I don’t want to use a different Sim and waste a day. I don’t even care about the exercise bike anymore though. I’m not using real money to complete a quest that they’re literally forcing you to use LP to complete on time. And they are VERY misleading with their language.
Remember the winter clothes and how we all thought they’d be free and you’d be able to change out of them at home? Then they weren’t. Thankfully they changed that in the last update, but they were so misleading with how they presented the winter clothes then. They did the same with the weather machine. We got one free one and then the rest are $300k. They didn’t make it seem like you’d have to put a machine at EACH house. So it’s no surprise they’re doing it again.
It usually doesn’t matter though, they have just done it to be annoying!

Well I haven’t got the exercise bike (and probably won’t) so I have no idea!
The exercise bike gives a 6 minute, 15 xp “fun” interaction to excercise for teens and above.
It works. 6 mins exercise.

There is nothing you can do unless you want to spend so many LPs! It doesnt end in a day, you just won’t get the exercise bike!
When I previously aged my Pre-Teen to a Teen she didn’t have any levels in diving anymore will this happen again if I age Adults to Seniors. I don’t want to have to start the hobby levels all over again….
Probably! But there is going to be a hobby for seniors soon so you can start a new hobby!
Hope it’s ok to post an external link here, but I found a forum that has some really good ideas for completing this quest line. (One person maps out doing it in 1.5 days!). One shortcut mentioned is that if you use a preteen for the 16 hr cupcake, that it will complete instantly… Most require attention to timing of jump starts–some things can be jump started, some can’t.
I was home sick and was able to veg with my hobbies in 4 minute intervals. Even though the LP generation seems nerfed since the update, I was able to keep everyone home and crank out enough to complete some of the longer quests.
Anyone starting this now (vs when it was first released) definitely has an advantage of being able to plan!

I used lps on the cupcake of doom maybe 5. And 4 to finish the build on the bingo hall..But the trick is do your devoted dance and fishathon at the same time. Do not visit the park after your last task of being there.Use lps to finish the build of the bingo hall. U should have hours left. Tap for task. Then go to the park to click fishathon. I did this and had 6 hours left.

Does anyone else’s game keep closing on them? Every time I try to click the icon and open up the game it loads and then closes on me. I can’t finish the goals if it keeps doing this
My Simpsons game does this loads, try closing all other open apps and see of that works, if not restart your device- that should work for a while but every so often you may need to turn it off

It’s in the create a sim menu, you probably wont notice it because it’s just the clothes they took away from the previous update and gave them back as a prize!
Ok so I just finished the senior quest (about 3 days late as refused to use LP) and it said that even though I hadn’t ‘won’ the exercise bike due to popular demand from seniors it was available to buy in my store anyway!! Seriously what was the point of putting a very unrealistic 3 day timer on it to then give you the prize anyway unless to panic people into wasting 60+ LP’s??! Such a scam, I expected better from this game 😦

Heckuva thread. I have had your link up ever since starting this quest. Yes, after spending LP to get the senior center, I saw the fishathon. Totally discouraged me. I have now decided after reading this thread, that I don’t need a scooter. I’m cool with them trying to incentivize us to purchase LP. Truthfully, if you have a team of Sims ghost hunting, you can rack up 5 LP each time you get a full set.
If I didn’t have an appointment in a while, I would just diligently ghost hunt.

I know, the exercise bike just isnt worth it!
So I didn’t get the free exercise bike but want to buy it for my senior. Where is it? And can my Senior sim no longer work? So I lose that income, too? Help
Seniors cannot work, and they cannot participate in hobbies for adults. They can garden, though. They can play Bingo, but if your sim loses you get nothing. The pot on mine seems pretty consistent at 15k. But a whole day wasted and not winning anything makes this a paltry prize to go after.
Seniors also cannot have romantic actions with adults, even their adult spouses. Seniors can have romantic actions (including woohoo) with other Seniors.
There is a new Senior-only hobby coming out Feb 5, so hopefully that’ll have something good.

And your senior can no longer work so you will lose that income
I found the exercise bike in the store where you have to spend real money. I live in England and it costs £1.99 to unlock so I don’t think I will bother getting it. I don’t know if seniors can work or not as I don’t have one, but I presume they can’t but they can participate in the Bingo Hall instead!

I’ve just started building the Bingo hall with about 30mins left to complete the tasks. If that was the last task I may have used my LP’s to finish but there’s another 24 hour task?! Yeah no thanks, don’t want the exercise bike that badly!

If you completed the quest in time you will find it in the electronics section, but it isn’t free

If you choose “hunt again” or “skate again”, etc, from the hobbies, you will build your lp at a pretty quick pace.
Yeah I did 4 minute quests to get through the Sr quest. Got my Sr in the bingo hall but trying to find out what hobby to give….any clues?

So I just completed the Warn Sim City task on the soap box in the park, and now I have to complain to the senior. But I can’t find her? She’s nowhere in the park and she’s not at the swim centre, the portal is gone from the swim centre too….where did other people find their seniors?
That’s strange, she should be in the park- she doesn’t move from there, try closing the game and opening it again

It seems they’ve increased the time limit. Mine was 5+ days (probably 6, but I didn’t look right away).
I thought this guide seemed pretty helpful (at the bottom the author suggests when to jumpstart longer tasks) :

Unfortunately for me, my game crashed repeatedly just as I was finishing the all-day ice skating task, kicking all my sims out of their activities. So I’ll have to restart that one. But with the increased time limit, and that guide, I think I’ll be okay.

During the Christmas update there was an awesome glitch that you just went to another simtown and it gave you three lp it sad they fixed it

I had built up a lot of LPs with the Christmas glitch so I was prepared to use some for the Senior quest. Just started it today — and it said I had 5 days 23 hrs to complete it. Either they listened to everyone’s complaints or the 3 day time limit was a glitch.
I had postponed updating until this week because I wanted to collect all those LPs, so maybe I got a “fixed” version. If people have saved to cloud before starting the quest, perhaps they can delete the app from their tablet/phone and re-install the most recent update. Hopefully that would fix the time glitch for the quest.

I had just finished the dispose of cupcake task and sent my sims to the park when the app crashed and now the senior in the park is gone! the futuristic elevator thingy is still in the park, but the senior is nowhere to be found 😦 anyone had the same problem?
If the futuristic thing is still there then the future sim must be somewhere, try closing the game and opening it again?
first time i restarted the game didn’t help but after the second time my senior is back, phew! thanks 🙂
