This quest allows you to add babies to your town, you can only add babies to a house where a couple live (only 4 sims can live in a house at one time) If you complete this quest within the time limit you unlock the baby decoration pack. If you don’t complete within the time limit you can still complete this quest and unlock babies you just won’t get the baby decoration pack prize

Times may vary depending on what star rating the item has.
You need to be good at time management with this quest as 1 task takes a day! (which gives you some practice for later quests!)
- Be nice to a sim- 1 minute [inspired: 57 secs]
- Expand or create a room
- Spend S450 on wallpaper and flooring
- Read better farms and cradles magazine- 5 minutes [inspired: 3 mins 48 secs]
Using stack of magazines from the living room section, the first one is free
- Have a double shot of coffee- completes straight away (if blue footprints appear read this post)
- Watch ‘Dr. Cots’ on TV- 5 minutes [inspired: 3 mins 48 secs]
- Build the children’s store- time and cost varies (need more money?)
Once you click build this can be quick completed for free so you don’t have to wait for it to build
- Buy a crib and place in a sims house (from the children’s store or infant section of home store)- the first white crib is free
If purchased from the children’s store you can find the crib in the infant section of the inventory or home store, make sure you place the crib in the house you want the baby to be added to
- Add a baby- 1 day
- Click on blue add sim symbol on the crib
- Click add on the pop up, the baby will take a day to arrive
- After a day the add symbol will now be green, click on this
- You will be taken to create a sim, name and customise the baby before clicking on the green tick in the corner to add them to your town

You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 8 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 8?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
I can’t place the magazines in my house, why?
You need to put them on a table or counter, you cannot place them on the floor

Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it

When I hit the magazines the farms and cradles option doesn’t show up.
I don’t know why you don’t have that option, it should appear once you are on that goal
You might need to contact EA to see if they can sort out the problem for you

you did unlock them, you don’t get them free- it says in the post that the mobile costs 2LPs.

the amount of simoleons varies depending on how many sims you already have in your town.
I’m on level 10.. And still haven’t created a baby should I start the game all over again?? I’m confused I have 8 sims that are all in a relationship and one couple is married please Help
did you read the post? it says quite clearly that you need to complete previous quests before you can do this one
Don’t start again, just look in your quest queue, that shows you all the quests that need to be completed first.
It says I have competition center under construction so I can’t build a children’s store any suggestions
is the competition center under construction? If it is you will have to wait for it to finish building before you can build the childrens store.
Every time I try to build the childrens store it says that something else is already under construction and I can’t build it. NOTHING else is under construction and I am meeting all of the requirements. 😦

why can’t you read it? If blue footprints appear you may need to move it onto a table that your sims can access.
i figured it out, there was a chair in the way of the table that i put it on so the sim wan’t able to read it

If you don’t complete in time you just won’t get the baby pack prize but you can still complete the quest once the time is up

Not really but you can buy two cribs and have two children at the same age, you can’t have triplets though because you can only have 4 people living in one house.

You need to complete previous quests before you can do this one.
Must we start the quest immediately? Say we didn’t start it, will the time be counted as well?
The time starts counting down as soon as you get the first goal for the quest, so if you don’t start it straight away you will probably miss out on the time limit prize

Hey, why do you have to wait a day for the last step, also on a totally different subject, why sims keep denying the proposal, I saved up all my lps to get the best and most expensive ring, but it didn’t work.
That’s just how long it takes for the baby to arrive

yes, if you only have 3 other sims living in that house as you can have 4 sims living in one house at a time
This is actually my second time playing the game, I decided to get a more expensive crib (6 LP) this time because I heard that the baby would arrive faster that way. But it still took 24 hours! Probably because the first baby is free/part of the quest?
If I use the crib again after this baby becomes a toddler, will the next baby come faster?
No, it still takes a day

That is what the two story mansion comes with, even if you didn’t complete the quest in time you still get them in that house.

Hi 🙂 I was wondering if you could start the “deep sleep” part early? Like have one of the sims read the magazines (2hrs??) and have another sim start the deep sleep (7hrs??) so that when the magazine is done, there’s still few hrs of the deep sleep left and therefore the quest will advance normally? Or do i have to wait until he is done reading the magazine completely? Does it have to be the sim that is married / having a baby?
Yes you can start deep sleep early
And no it can be any sim

You’re sims will stay married unless you do negative interactions to get them to divorce.
Is there any way to have 2 adult sims have three babies but before the third one actually came to life, the dud moves out?
no because you won’t be able to create the 3rd baby with the dad still in the house, and you also won’t if he leaves

Yes you can, a married couple can have 2 children as 4 sims can live in a house at one time so once the first baby has arrived after waiting 24 hours you can add another baby 🙂
