YOU NEED TO COMPLETE THE TWO AND A HALF SIMS QUEST BEFORE YOU CAN BEGIN THIS QUEST
Completing this quest unlocks the premium residence which gives you bigger houses next to the ocean. If you complete this quest in the 2 day time limit you will unlock the beachside escape house. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock premium residences and the real estate agent career you just won’t get the beachside house

- Read House, Garden and Llamas Magazine- 1 hour (you can find this in the stack of magazines)
- Call real estate agent on phone- 5 minutes
- Watch sim house blitz on TV- 13 hours
- Have a double shot of coffee- 1 minute (if blue footprints appear read this post)
- Call a sim to the park
- Perform fake auction with ducks in the park- 1 minute 36 seconds
- Wash hands in the sink- 7 seconds
- Build the real estate agency- time and price varies (need more money?)

Where do I find it? Click on a house to build it and a list of houses you can build will appear, find the beachside escape in the list:
Cost? The first one is free then it costs simoleons, the cost depends on how many other houses you have already built

I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 9 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 9?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
Why are there two versions of this quest?
Some quests have two versions, as when the makers have updated the times for quests they haven’t updated them on all devices so some players still get the old times
I can’t place the magazines in my house, why?
You need to put them on a table or counter, you cannot place them on the floor
I have played the sims on a computer but it doesn’t complete the goal, why?
Are you sure you are playing the sims, not sim city?
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it.
How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker,this post explains more about the simtracker

Yes you have to finish it to unlock the real estate career and premium (larger) houses before you can move onto the next quest.

In the ocean view quest it says a sims has to play the sims on the computer. I’ve done it 5 times but the game won’t acknowledge it so I can go on to the next task. What do I do?
sounds like a glitch, there isn’t a lot I can suggest as this is a technical problem so you might need to contact EA
I had that 2 i can’t figure it out
What I kept doing is play Sim City on the computer instead of The Sims. They look similar so maybe you are playing the wrong one? Hope this helped😉
It needs my town to have 12 sims before I can build the real estate building 😦 I used LPs to get my 12th sim and now I need to wait 28 hours to build the building! How am I supposed to finish the entire quest in 2 days when just the banana bread and building adds up to be 48 hours?! I feel so unlucky… everyone else seemed to have a much easier time with this.
If you have built lots of places already it is going to take longer for you to build this place and you could have started baking banana bread early to save time 🙂
@weightlessmagic how can i have many neighbors without using facebook ?Cause i have a social task but i can’t complete it cause it need pool BUT my neighboors dont have pool how come ?
If you have an apple device you can add via game center, if not Facebook is your only option, sorry!
if u complete the quest on time does it give u a discount on the beach side escape or do u get to get it for free?
No it costs 50LPs, if you don’t complete on time you dont get it

No, in the sims freeplay buy a computer and select the option play sims

I am on this quest now and just baking banana bread. When I went to look at the real estate agency it says I can’t start it because I need the Ocean view estate quest complete to start it. Help?
You can’t build it until you get the goal to build it.

Are the baking of the bread and the playing Sims the only ones I can start early? I have 21 hours left and the bread takes 20 hours, I don’t think I can build the agency in time!
yes those are the only ones you can start early
I done the quest within the time but I didn’t see the beachside reward
You need to click on an empty plot, it will be towards the end of the houses that you can build.

This quest is not allowing my sim to “play sims” on a computer. It’s requiring 1, to do so but I just had my sim do it twice and it hasn’t been completed. I have the calcutronic computer that I’ve been using.

i only have like 5LPs and its never gonna be enough to buy the beachside escape….does that mean i cannot continue to do the next quests or level up? sigh
Buying the beachside escape is not part of this quest, that is the prize you get for completing the quest, you don’t need to build it at all

What happenstance if you don’t pass I really want that house and I won’t pass because I have 7 hours left and it takes 8 to build 😓😓😓
If you don’t complete in time you get the house but you can still complete the quest once the time is up
You could use LPs to speed up the building (to do this you click on the building and click on the orange circle (I would wait until you have only an hour left for the building so you only have to use 1 LP then you will still have time to complete the last two goals as they can be done within minutes

I completed the quest on time but when I went to build the house it said I didn’t have sufficient funds

you can definitely use it because it completes the goal before you click on the bubble to see if it has burnt or not, if you just leave it on the stove with the bubble then get the goal it won’t complete the goal.
Hii there I have something to ask…I’ve been wanting to buy a one story mansion but I noticed that the one for the premium lot is much cheaper than the standard lot. Do you know why is that? Does the one story mansion on a premium lot comes along with a luxury car as well or is it just for the standard lot? Thanks in advance x

did it say you completed the play the sims on a pc goal? If not that would be why you can’t ring as you will only get the option when you get that goal.
If you haven’t completed it, try again and make sure you play the sims, not sim city.
If you have completed that goal and you still don’t get the option you may need to contact EA
Just so you know – working on this quest right now and started the banana bread early but in the quest it’s actually pumpkin pie now (10 hours)!

No, but this is a glitch, you can only usually have 4 sims living in a house at one time
Hi, weightless magic. After giving up the SFP months ago due to the crash issue and the defunct boat party, now I’m back to start everything over again.
I don’t know if it’s only me but I just got the task to bake pumpkin pie instead of banana bread for this quest. It was frustrating because I had already started to bake banana bread early… then the task dialog appeared saying pumpkin pie (10minutes before my banana bread was completed!) ://

Stuck on “ocean view estate quest “. The task is have a sim play sims on a pc. I tr I ed with each of sims and even use LP points to skip the task and nothing. Not sure what to do, would hate to restart 😦
