Completing this quest unlocks the ability to age your baby sims to toddlers! If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the dress up chest for your toddler sims. You can still complete this quest once the time is up but you won’t get the dress up chest prize

- Change a diaper- 21 seconds
- Expand or change a room
- Buy a dollhouse from the children’s store- costs S7,000
- Have a fancy coffee- 5 minutes (if blue footprints appear read this post)
- Study geography on a globe- 9 hours 30 minutes
- Contemplate life at the lake- 6 minutes 48 seconds (click on ducks)
- Ask statue in park for advice- 2 minutes 24 seconds
- Stare at the park statue- 3 seconds

You can now age your babies into toddlers using a birthday cake (explained in this guide) BUT YOU DO NOT NEED A BIRTHDAY CAKE TO FINISH THIS QUEST, my Guide to Toddlers explains all about them!

Is the prize worth it? Yes! This is such a great thing to have, you can find it in the toddler section and when placed in the home your toddler can dress as a robot, panda, dinosaur or bee! If you use the chest they walk around acting like the character which is cute but you can put them in an outfit permanently using the wardrobe or costume and swim store

I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 12 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 12?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
I have watched a documentary but it hasn’t completed the goal, why?
You will not be able to complete this goal until you get the goal when the quest starts
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
The dress up chest
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the ability to age your babies to toddlers before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

My game crashed on level 12, and while I’m on level 15 now and have opened Mysterious Island, I was never able to complete Toddler quest. Sunflower St doesn’t come up on TV after watching a documentary. How can I complete this quest and get the pet store???? Please help.

You can’t go back, if you haven’t done the quest yet it means you have other quests to complete first

You need to complete the quests in order, you still have a few to go before you get to the quest for toddlers. The level is when it unlocks, it doesn’t mean the quest will appear then if you haven’t done the previous quests.
I am on level 14 and the toddler quest is in my quest queues…how can I do that so my baby can age? My cake is not available either…..
If it is in your queue you need to complete the quest you are currently on and any quests that come before the quest for toddlers.

I can’t figure out how to complete the toddler quest I am on level 14 and can’t bake a cake that’s still gray. The quest is in the queue but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it so I can age my baby Sim. I also can’t find the toy chest in the children’s store…help me plz
What quest are you on right now? You need to complete previous quests to be able to access this quest and all parts of this quest.

I’ve stuck at adding/create a room for this quest. Must i add it in the same house as the baby is in? I tried creating one in the original house as well as other houses but it just won’t acknowledge it.
Try expanding a room instead, I have started the game again on another device and on the baby quest there is the same goal and I had to expand the room as it didn’t recognise creating a new one

when the bake birthday cake option would show up? because i’m not yet at toddler quest and i want to bake it earlier so after i finished the quest i can give it to my baby asap than waiting for a day to bake the new one
The birthday cake should unlock at level 8 so you should be able to bake it at any point after that level

You must be on a different version of the game then, as the latest update it is now study geography.

I’m on this quest right now, trying to make nearly 50,000s to build the pet store. Is it a terrible idea to have 5 of my sims growing lettuce over and over? My thought process was that even if only one of them works every time, I’ve made more than I would growing corn during the same time frame.
Well I personally wouldn’t grow lettuce as it can turn into a sim eating plant rather than giving you the money but it isn’t a terrible idea if you are willing to risk it

You can’t start study geography or talk to statue early, sorry, the only thing you can really start early is watching the documentary
To complete in time you may have to use LPs
I’m finishing up my pet shop, 5 hours left, and have two babies now. However my birthday cake is still greyed out. Was this changed during the last update so that you can no longer make the birthday cake in advance or do I have a glitch? The dress up chest is free, it is definitely worth it, take your time on the need for steed and save up for the toddler quest.

You need to complete quests in order, just because you are on the right level doesn’t mean that quest will appear straight away.
Hello, I’m on level 15 and no task has popped up about the pet store. I don’t know what I did wrong. I haven’t got a swimming pool task or anything. I remember happening to expand my room but after that it just stopped with that quest and skipped . Please help.
Have you started the toddler quest yet?
Look in the goal tab to make sure it isn’t in there.
I am lvl 13 i have done the quests in best order i could i did my weekly also and i cant build my pet store or grow my baby do you know why? I just finished calling the real estate which said the phone is disconnected and i have nothing left to do…now what? I also did the wizard stuff and got my own wand it also didnt tell me anything about baking a cake or sun flower st. I am seriously stuck :[ also thisis the only sims i have ever played. You are not on the quest for toddlers yet, you are still on the real estate (ocean view) quest, quests need to be completed in order. Look in your goals tab to find the next goal in the ocean view quest, watch sim house blitz on tv should be the next goal.
Oh wait , no not the toddlers quest. It won’t let me. After I expanded or created a room it just stopped covering me tasks to do for the baby.
Look in your goal tab, just because it doesn’t show you a pop up for the goal it will probably still be in there waiting for you to complete it.
I forgot to complete the quest this morning and I missed the window to complete. I had plenty of time to complete the quest, all that was left was just an hour or two talking to the statue and then just dance to the radio which is zero time. And then an unexpected meeting came up at work and I then I forgot to log back in and complete the quest…..UGH!!!!!!
Is the Dress Up Chest available for purchase? I cannot find it in the “Home Store”.
Honestly this is one ONLY prize that I care about as it would be neat to see the toddlers acting as the character they are dressed up in.

You need to complete quests in order, just because you are past that level doesn’t mean you get the quest then, you must be on a previous quest

No you can’t but a previous quest will not affect this quest, so finishing need for speed late won’t effect the time limit for the toddler quest.
I think you should contact EA about the problem you are having clearing the rubbish, hopefully they will be able to help.

yes you don’t need to bake a cake to complete this quest and it isn’t essential to age the baby straight away

Do you happen to know why my cake disappeared and I can’t age my baby sim? I baked a cake, and when I came back the next day it was just gone. I can’t age my baby, I don’t see a cake in my inventory and I am out 5LPs. 😦
If you baked the cake it will be stored, not in your inventory but if you click on the baby and select have birthday it will age.
I did, and it said that I have to bake a cake first. That’s why I’m confused! 😦

Yes you can do the other quests as normal, but you need to complete the previous quest before you can start enough, it doesn’t matter what level you are on
