Completing this quest unlocks the ability to age your baby sims to toddlers! If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the dress up chest for your toddler sims. You can still complete this quest once the time is up but you won’t get the dress up chest prize

Is the prize worth it? Yes! This is such a great thing to have, you can find it in the toddler section and when placed in the home your toddler can dress as a robot, panda, dinosaur or bee! If you use the chest they walk around acting like the character which is cute but you can put them in an outfit permanently using the wardrobe or costume and swim store

I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 12 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 12?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
I have watched a documentary but it hasn’t completed the goal, why?
You will not be able to complete this goal until you get the goal when the quest starts
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
The dress up chest
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the ability to age your babies to toddlers before you can move onto the next quest

Do you need special stuff to take care of your toddler? I have got a bed, a rocking horse, a nightlight and a bathtub, do I need anything else? also, I clicked on the toilet (with a baby, if you click once, it gives a cross, the second time it will tell you who can use the object) but it seems like toddlers can’t use it, do they have the same thing as babys where the parents have to clean the diaper? I was in another sim town but yet I did not have the option to clean their toddlers diaper…

A toddler can use the toliet, they just take longer than an adult

Do you still get the toddler costumes (for example in a wardrobe or at the costume shop) even if you don’t beat the quest in time to get the dress up chest? Seems like the difference being that the kids don’t walk cute like the costume?
no you only get them if you complete the quest in time.
Does this quest start as soon as you reach level 12? Because I am only 3% away from level 12 and I wasn’t sure if I should start watching the documentary.
yes, unless you are on a previous quest, if you are it will be added to your queue and will start once an previous quests have been completed

I am in level 16 but I am the quest need for steed
you need to complete quests in order, you can’t do this quest until previous quests have been completed.
Can you please help? I am at level 18 and can not get my babies to turn into toddlers. I have followed everything but can’t unlock the pet store to complete the quest, and the birthday cake is still unavailable. Please help! 🙂
are you on this quest yet? If you haven’t got the goal to build the pet store yet then you can’t do it yet.
I can’t unlock the pet store either. It says it’s still building the horse steeds and that’s why I can’t build the pet store. But I’m 200% sure I fully completed that quest, I have the horse stables and horses. I’m also sure because the toddler quest has started up. Could this be a bug in the game?
go back to the stables and click on all the stables to make sure that there is nothing still being built.
Hi! Do you know why my sims make different amounts of money with the same job?a lot of my sims are at the highest level for musicians or firefighters for example and one day they make $2500 and the next day the same sim is only making like $1600…do you know why that is? I always send all of them to work inspired so that’s not it…I’m so confused!!
are you sure they are the same sim on the same level? They might be different sims on different levels
they don’t earn anywhere near 2500 each a day anyway the highest is 1860 for a level 5 actor.
I’m seeing this, too. I have two Firefighters, each at 6/6 in their careers. One will come home with $2250, the other with $1500. It doesn’t seem to matter whether they’re inspired. The only thing I can figure is that the more times in a row I send them to work on time, the more money I get.
This has got to be a glitch!

I just completed Need for Steed and I’m level 16. I haven’t got the toddler quest but it just gave me the In Da Clubhouse quest instead.. I am almost done with the magic spells quest, do I need to complete that first?
are you sure you haven’t done the toddler quest? as you can’t do in da clubhouse unless you have a toddler, which you unlock in the toddler quest.
I’m sure. It’s not in the missions waiting to be completed, it has all quest except that one. I have 2 kids in town, and they’re still babies. I don’t know why it skipped over that quest.

have you completed the quest for toddlers? If so you need to bake a cake for 5Lps, then click have birthday on the baby

First thanks for the making more money post that was a huge help getting my pet store built. I’m at the end of this toddlers quest(asking the statue for serious advice) 13 hrs in my game quit and now all of my sims are back home. Even the ones who were at work were sent home and none of the progress was kept. They’re even still I. Their work clothes. I have 28 hrs left to finish the quest but is there any way I can go back? No sorry you can’t go back, the only things you can to stop it happening again is make sure you restart your device frequently to avoid crashing and save to the cloud regularly
At the end you have to make a birthday cake which takes a day! Waste of time! It costs 5 lp which I don’t have atm 😦 Sucks I was so excited I thought I finally finished the quest!
Sorry if someone has already asked this question but, I missed several quests including”a quest for toddlers”. I learned that I can bake a cake to age the baby, but my main concern is the pet store. Is there any way to get around this? Also, I’ve missed out on the horses due to another quest missed. 😦
You can’t miss quests, like it says in the post you have to complete previous quests first before you can do this one.
Can you start the “study geography on a globe” early? My pet store is taking two days to build, and it took me a day to get the money to build it. I won’t be able to finish the quest on time if I can’t start the globe early. Thanks for all your help so far!

Help please!! I’ve reached level 14 and I still can’t get my baby to age. I completed the Quest for Toddlers but it says i didn’t when i try to age my baby sim but it says i have to complete the quest still and I can’t buy the pet store because it says I haven’t completed it either and the quest still hasn’t came back for me to complete it but i’m pretty sure I did complete it. You can’t have completed it if you haven’t built the pet store, look in your quest queue to see how many quests you have to complete first, you have to complete them in order.

there is no other lake you can use, everything has to have a star rating and as there is only one lake, it only has a one star rating.

this quest unlocks the ability for you to age your babies into toddlers, that is why you don’t have toddlers yet and the preteen quest comes later one
But you should have a baby as you have to make one during the two and a half sims quest, have you done that quest yet? If not you have to do that one first to unlock babies, quests have to be completed in order and no you cannot skip quests.
Hi there Thanks for all your blogs for sims free play it’s very helpful! So I am on level 28 and there are several quests that I have unfulfilled! Todallers quest the pets quest amongst others. How am I able to go back to the unfulfilled quests and begin them? It only allows me to view the quests but doesn’t give me the option to start them and there’s no guidance. It just moves forward each time I level up or open a new business while all my others are left behind with no option to start them! Please help! Thank you in advance for all your help.

you cannot start a quest early, you have to complete the one you are on before you can move onto the next one that is in your queue.
Right. But what about unfulfilled quests that are in my que..? Why can’t I go back and begin them? I have 18 quests in total unfulfilled in my quest, yet I can’t start them.

You have to complete them in order so if you are on the quest for toddlers you need to complete that before you can do all going swimmingly.
I have a same issue with that. I just already finished the quest of need of a steed and it gave me a new mission which is a quest for toddlers but there is no unlock for the pet house ? I remember completing the Mystery Island quest because I have the bridge, but it still is in the queue. There is another quest I have not completed, but I don’t know how to know how to get it. I completed the Need for Steed already, but it went straight to ‘In Da Clubhouse’. I guess it is a technical issue. I obviously can’t complete the other quest if I’m on a quest already, could you help? If not, that’s totally fine. I just don’t really want to contact EA. Thanks!

During the quest do the toddlers age themself, cause it says to listen to stereo, then the quest is over. Do i have to age them up using the b-day cake after the quest 😕😝😛
No toddlers don’t age by themselves, you have to bake a birthday cake to age them after you have done the quest, it is the same for each life stage.
I’m sorry to bother you, but on my version of the Sims (I have a Windows phone), it asks me to bake a Rocky Road after the fancy tea. Has that happened to anyone else?
Windows phones are no longer updated so the quests will be slightly different, I am sorry but I have to post the most up to date version for the majority of players.

Two more questions- does the fact that Windows phones are no longer updated also mean that I won’t get the magic/ sorcery or the restaurant quests? Also, what’s the maximum number Sims one needs to unblock buildings and stuff? I have 12 Sims and 2 babies, and collectively they take 20-30 minutes to fully satisfy every day. Really helpful blog btw!

I can’t remember exactly how many are needed but I think it is around 20 but you can just add them if/when you need them (and you could always delete them afterwards if you don’t want them)
