Completing this quest unlocks the snow park and the ability to change the weather in your sims town! If you complete in the time limit you will unlock snow outfits for all your sims. You can still complete this quest to unlock the snow park and weather machine once the time is up but you won’t get the snow outfits

Version One

- Search for UFOs in the park- 1 minute 30 seconds (using the telescope)
- Be nice to an alien- 1 minute
- Become friends with an alien (to bring him to your house, use the simtracker and click the whistle)
- Go to park
- End is nigh on soapbox- 9 hours 30 minutes (in park) (can be started early)
- Become best friends with an alien
- Browse internet- 4 minutes
- Be nice to Osiris (the alien)- 1 minute
- Spend 16,000 on electronics
YOU NEED TO BUY FROM THE ELECTRONICS SECTION OF THE HOME STORE TO COMPLETE THIS GOAL
- Negotiate with a sim eating plant- 3 minutes
Grow lettuce until it turns into a sim eating plant, this part can be done early, click on the sim eating plant to negotiate with it.
- Read fine literature- 12 hours (can be started early)
- Be rude to Osiris- 10 seconds
- Woohoo- 5 minutes
- Deep sleep- 6 hours 30 minutes (can be started early)
- Be funny to Osiris- 10 seconds
- Play electronica on stereo- 2 minutes 42 seconds
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
You can now build the Snow Park and begin the Figure Skating Hobby you also unlock the weather machine, keep reading for how to use it!
NOTE: the Snow Park is needed for the Seniors quest so build it before then
Using the Weather Machine- firstly the weather machine can be found in the electronics section for S70,000, you can have one per household
Once placed at a house you can:
- Make it day all the time, or night all the time regardless of the time of day
- You can make the weather random
- You can make it rain (so you can use umbrellas!) (your sims can also get struck by lightning which makes them inspired!)
- You can make it snow (so you can freeze pools and complete the ice skating hobby on them)
To get the weather back to normal you can resume day/night cycle or select blue skies
Time Limited Prize: Snow outfits
Is the prize worth it? Yes I think so, the snow outfits are free and they include snowboard suits and other items like woolly hats and earmuffs! Perfect to wear at the snow park!
Where can I find them? Outfits, hats and earmuffs (hair section) are in the wardrobe.

I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 16 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 16?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
Why are there two versions of this quest?
Some quests have two versions, as when the makers have updated the times for quests they haven’t updated them on all devices so some players still get the old times
How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker,this post explains more about the simtracker
How do I become friends with the alien?
Be nice to Osiris until your sim becomes friends with him, do this again to become best friends when you get that goal
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
I have spent S16,000 on items but the goal will not complete, why?
Make sure you are just buying items from the electronics section of buy mode
How do I negotiate with a sim eating plant?
You need to grow lettuce until it turns into a sim eating plant then when it has you will be able to negotiate with it
How do I get my sims to woohoo?
You need two sims who are partners to be able to get this interaction
I already have a world globe, do I have to buy another one?
Yes you do or you cannot complete this quest
I don’t have a stereo, where can I find one?
You can buy one from the electronics section
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
Snow outfits
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the snow park and weather machine before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests
Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

no, you don’t need to build it for this quest or it will be on the quest list
I’m trying to complete the weather machine quest in time for the snow suits..but i just wasted a whole day having a baby hibernate in a bed thinking that would complete the task and allow my adult and preteens to continue to work and go to school. So babies can’t be used for hibernation for task and stuff?
They used to be able to, they must have changed this in the last update

It also works if you use a toddler. I already had my toddler hibernating so I waited till he was finished in the hope that it would have worked and it did!

that isn’t a task in this quest, you have to complete the quest before you can unlock the weather machine, then it can be found in the electronics section

Damn. In the hobby tab, there is a button flashing with 3 LPs and a dice icon. I thought the dice meant some “try ur luck ” button. I kept waiting for the dice and pressed it. In the end, it sucked dry my hard earned 26 LPs!!!!! I’m sooooo shocked!!!!!
the dice button is the lucky spin, click on it and it refreshes the whole row and gives you one collectible in that row
I have been playing for a long time, this quest was not available to me when it was at the right level, I gave now gone past it and am on other quests. Anyway I can go back and complete the quest, or make it become available?
you can’t skip quests, you have to complete quests in order
I mean that this quest was never available to me, I was already doing later quests when it became available, for example, I never had to do any of the toddler or preteen quests.

The toddler and preteens ones if you have been playing for a very long time then you won’t have had to do those quests, you just got toddlers and preteens but this one you will have had to do the quest
It’s not in the quest queue, and never has been, same with the ghosthunting hobby, they’ve never been there and I’ve seen on other peoples games that I’ve done the quests that are after them.
you might want to contact EA then to see if they can fix this issue for you
It is exasperating!! Some tasks can’t be done early. as a result, I need to patiently wait for my Sims to finish every task. It’s so slow!

Warn simanity- 1 day
Watch a movie marathon- 8 hours
Deep sleep- 6 hours 30 minutes
Because of good planning (thanks to you), I finished the whole quest in less than 2 days.
(I start the actions in different houses, and only go to the house once the quest asks for that specific task, just so it still accepts it in case the action already finished early)

as long as they aren’t all doing them in the same house and you stay away from the houses until you get the goal it will work
How to complete all of these quest in 7 days with out use lps?
It is quite easy to complete this task in the time limit as a lot of the tasks you can start early

Hi there! Thanks for all the love you put into your blog. It’s awesome. I just did this quest right after the outdoors update and surprise, there was no movie marathon involved. It’s either a glitch or they deleted that task. Another thing I noticed from the update that isn’t mentionned anywhere is that cleaning dishes now give 7 xp. Great job with your blog.

I want to do the figure skating hobby, but it will cost me at least 275,000 to build the park, and it’ll take me ages to save all that money up. Is it worth the effort?
The only reason I would buy it sooner than you probably would like is because you will need it for the seniors quest

you probably need to build the costume and swim store for the outfits to show in your wardrobe.
