Once you have completed The Sunset Mall Quest you will be able to build the escalator at the mall and begin this discovery quest. If you complete this quest in the time limit you unlock the seesaw. You can still complete this quest once the time is up to unlock the top floor of the mall but you won’t get the seesaw
You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest
HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?
Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.
- Send a sim to the 2nd floor of the mall
- Read the poster- 1 minute
- Investigate a store- 2 seconds
- Ask the plant to move- 5 minutes
- Grill patties at the park- 20 minutes (using the barbecue)
- Feed burgers to the plant- 6 hours 30 minutes
- Clean the plant’s mess:
- Broken tile- 5 hours 30 minutes
- Trash- 1 hour 30 minutes
- Trash- 30 minutes
- Call sim fashion- 24 minutes (on a phone)
- Return to plant (go to the mall)
- Yell at plant- 5 minutes
- Step closer to plant- 12 hours 30 minutes
- Search for teleport remote- 19 hours (using a computer)
- Build a teleport remote- 20 seconds (using a TV)
- Teleport plant- 8 seconds
- Go to park
- Teleport plant to the best spot- 12 hours 15 minutes (the image below shows you which spot you need to select)
- Build the first store- 1 hour (costs S10,000)
- Try something on (using the wardrobe)
- Take selfies- 5 hours 30 minutes
- Email fashion photos- 19 hours
- Send 2 sims to the park
- Start photoshoot- 12 hours 30 minutes (you need two sims- one needs to wait for the photographer then the other sim needs to start the shoot)
- Capture photo of plant (using the camera button on the screen)
- Hug plant- 1 day
- Say goodbye to the sim eating plant- 10 minutes

You can now clean up the top floor of the mall to unlock new stores, my Guide to the Mall shows you what needs cleaning in the mall, how much the stores cost and what clothes you unlock in each store! You can also now build the Wumples Play Center which is on the second floor at the mall (mainly for toddlers)
It has two swings, a slide and a see-saw for your sims to enjoy!

Hi, this is a really small thing but I noticed it in when using the social function in a friends town and in some of your photos. The crib in what appears to be the nursery is super cute and fancy but I don’t seem to have the option for this? Maybe i missed an opportunity or havent gotten there yet but I was wondering how you got it
Unfortunately that was a limited time item that is no longer available, I am sure they will bring it back again one day though!

that sucks. I think EA fixed the problem in the christmas 2015 update, though.
I’m now doing this photo shoot for the third time. Some sort of glitch. Glad I’m not gonna be losing much in the prize
Is anyone doing the Makeup Quest yet? Mine keeps glitching out. It will show on my Sims list that one or both Sims are done with the blinking circle but they won’t be. Or one will have wandered off while the other is waiting with their exclamation point or still doing the activity. Or the two Sims will be doing things in unison, stuck at 9 minutes when you go back. I also only got the second award on the first level four times even tho both Sims had reached level two until I used the spin and got the third, then I next got the fourth.

How do I contact the sims freeplay crew? My sims who are doing the makeup quest keep freezing (every other sim is a-okay when I come back a few hours later) but they’ve been on 4.5 hours for like 8 hours and this is the third time already in 2 days 😩 no way I’m winning this quest

Send the first sim to wait for the customer, then wait for that sim to actually get in the correct position before you send the second sim to try on makeup. Then click on the second sim to make sure the timer has started ticking down. If the timer is frozen, cancel the action and try again. That’s the only way I know to avoid this annoying glitch.

You cannot buy limited time items, the only way you can get them is by unlocking them by completing a quest/hobby in time

The game is not letting me build the store after teleporting the plant as my sunset mall second floor is underway construction. How do I rectify it?
Is there a building that needs to finish building first? If you see a green flashing lock click on it to complete the building so you can build the store

The catwalk is the staging at the mall on the right hand side, you need to click on that to finish building it
Hi, I have tried the photoshoot with the plant several times with two sims and the camera button and nothing happens. Not sure what I am doing wrong? I have already missed the deadline, but it’s very frustrating and I want to move on to other quests/tasks. I have the two sims do the photoshoot and take a picture of the plant with the button in the top right and after the 12hrs 30, nothing happens!? Please help!

I will as soon as I complete the outdoor event that is on right now because I really don’t want to be doing two timed hobbies at once, sorry!
I am doing the Fashion Hunter quest now. Be warned that it is NOT POSSIBLE to complete this quest on time without using (a lot) of LP. So make sure you have a good bank of LP before you start. I’d say you need 50-100 LP. The task takes 5 and a half hours and the problem is getting one sim to level six in time to finish in the deadline. I am four days in and I am not really sure I am going to make it as I have run out of LP and am cooking like crazy to keep going. You can have five sims doing it at once, but even so that doesn’t help much unless you have the level to get the prizes. The technique seems to be to focus on just one sim and use LP to level her up as fast as possible. Good luck! It’s a pity this one is so hard as the prize looks great.
Help! I can’t figure out how to get to the 2nd floor. I have the pickles burger place built and one set of escalators. The other escalators (on the right side) aren’t finished. When I use the ones already built once I get to the topic automatically takes me right back to the 1st floor. I’m supposed to feed the plant burgers but can’t find it or get to it. Help please!?!
click on the upstairs button at the side of the screen then you can just click on the plant instead of walking upstairs

Hi, for the capture photo task this doesn’t need to be saved to the device in order to complete the task
Help! ALLL of a sudden my escalators are locked to get to the burger bar and second floor… I completed the pretty little planters quest, and built the burger bar, wumples center, and the juice bar. I had to unlock the escalators in order to complete the quest to get the wumples center in the first place, and I know that I got a milkshake from the burger bar before. I just went back to the mall and built the hangout center, but when I had a sim go clean up the area they kept saying they couldn’t get there… Then I noticed the left escalators from bottom floor to burger bar are locked again? But the escalators from the burger bar to the second floor are not. There’s no option for me to unlock the escalators, and I’ve completed every single quest in the game. Any idea what happened? Or what I should do?? I’m totally stuck.
How strange! I think you will need to contact EA about this problem to see if they can fix it for you as I am unable to fix technical issues unfortunately.

Babies can’t but there are pictures at the bottom of this post that show you who can use it and how.
I added a time extension on this quest and completed it within the extra time but it didn’t allow me the seesaw 😭 Is this normal if you addhave the time extension?
No because that is the point of the time extension, that you complete in time to get the prize. They should be in the toddler section of the buy mode
Same thing happened to me, I used a time extension but did not get the seesaw even after it said I had unlocked it. It’s not in the toddler section
I think you should contact EA about this issue to see if they can fix it for you.

Try restarting your device and return to the mall, that may make the plant reappear.

There’s a new limited time quest(Pretty little planters). But the thing is that I haven’t built the sunset mall yet, but to start a quest I need a sunset mall. And when I want to build a sunset mall it shows that I need to complete a “Pretty little planters” quest. How is it possible? What should I do?

If the game was working correctly it would let you build the mall and then start the sunset mall quest but it seems there is a glitch where it is telling you to complete the pretty little planters quest that you cannot access until you have completed the sunset mall quest. I would recommend that you contact EA about this issue as I am unable to fix technical issues and hopefully they will be able to sort this out.

Sigh… I was in the middle of the teleporting the plant when the game updated. Had to start that over. Used LP to finish. I started the first store build, it finished, them went away. So, I completed the cat walk, but now I can’t start the hobby. Pretty mad right now, as I have spent money to progress through the game.
That’s frustrating! I know there is an issue with the simtracker glitching in this latest update, hopefully it will be fixed soon!
