How can I get my pet to use the accessories? Most items you click on the item and select call over, most of the time if they aren’t busy they will use it but they sometimes use items without being prompted.
NOTE: food and water bowls need to be filled up once a dog has emptied them, you can either get a sim to click on the bowl and select fill or you can store the bowl in your inventory and get it out again and it will refill.
Do you need to buy accessories? Not if you don’t want to, no. They do use them sometimes but they are mainly for decoration. It doesn’t increase their happiness if they have these items.
How do I play frisbee with a dog? To complete this task you need to buy a frisbee and place it on the ground at a house where the dog lives, a sim can then click on the frisbee and play with the dog.

Once you complete the life dreams and legacies quest and build the pet park your dogs can partake in Dog Agility and Dog Obedience hobbies (to take a dog to the pet park they need to be wearing a collar from the Pet Salon)

Collecting Treasure
Once you have brought the pet they will wander around the house and garden and collect treasure.
Collecting treasure using dogs
A dog will run off and a shovel bubble will appear above their head, click on it and they will dig up simoleons or LPs.
Collecting treasure using cats
A cat will run off and a exclamation mark bubble will appear above their head, click on it and they will pounce on simoleons or LPs.
NOTE: The higher the star rating of a cat or dog the more LPs and simoleons they should find
Puppies and Kittens cannot find treasure
Ageing Puppies and Kittens
To do this you need to bake a birthday biscuit on a stove (which cost 15LP and take a day to cook) then click on a puppy or kitten and select the option to Age to Adult:
You only need to bake one birthday biscuit for each pet you would like to age
Renaming a Pet
Click on the pet, select rename and you can then choose a new name for your pet
Relocating a Pet
Click on the pet, select relocate and select a sim from the list that appears, that pet will then move to that sims house
Happiness Bar
The happiness bar indicates how happy your pet is, the more unhappy they are the slower they walk and the less treasure they will find.
To make a pet happy you need a sim to click on the pet and select an option with a smiley face, for example on a dog you can shake hands or praise to increase their happiness:
Deleting a Pet
Click on the pet, select relocate and the first option is put up for adoption which will remove the pet from your game
RABBITS
can be found in buy mode under pets
What rabbits can you buy?
1 Star Rabbits cost:
- S15,000
- 12LP
2 Star Rabbit cost:
- 20LP
3 Star Rabbit cost:
- 30LP
Rabbit Interactions with Sims
NOTE: the time the interactions take depends on the star rating of the pet
Adult, Teen and Preteen Options:
Senior Option:
Babies and Toddlers cannot interact with a rabbit
That is all you can do with rabbits, they do not find simoleons or LPs like dogs and cats
Can pets die?
No! Your pets don’t die, even when they are unhappy
There are a few other pets that you may have in your pet store but these are not mentioned in this post as not everyone has access to them as they were limited timed prizes

But in my iPad in at level 44. If I log into game enter on my iPad will it make me go back to the beginning bc I’m Using the Game Center on my phone? Thank you

If you used the same game center on both it would be saving over the other game each time you saved so if one of your devices was to die and the other devices game saved last you would lose one of your games.

Hi! I’ve found another option for kitten/ puppy interacting with sims! If an adult sim is carrying a kitten/ puppy, you can click on a couch/ chair to relax with them!

No they can’t
And no, that is the only way puppies can grow up. I don’t really know why everyone wants to grow them up anyway- they are so cute! And you can complete a new hobby with them.

Hi! I have two dogs and one cat in my town. Sometimes when I click on the animal to have my sim pet them, the options to pet or praise them does not come up. I click on the animal several times and the options do not come up. Is this a glitch?
No this isn’t a glitch, when they are going to collect treasure you will not be able to get these options, you need to wait until they have finished finding simoleons or LPs and try again.

How can you fill up a fairys happiness bar? I have the 3 star purple fairy and she has no happiness and I can only rename and relocate her when I click on her. Please help!!!

One trick (perhaps others have also but if not I wanted to share) I noticed with the puppies and kittens if you simply have a sim pick them up and then put them down again it will greatly increase their happiness. Instead of having to do the longer actions you can do that. I’ve been able to increase their happiness from almost empty to full my simply picking them up and putting them down again twice in a row.
Just wondering how to throw Frisbee with a neighbours dog? Do I just have to find a neighbour with a dog and Frisbee or do I need to buy a Frisbee specifically to use for that task? Its driving me crazy have had this task for aaaaaaaages lol thanks
Your neighbour needs to have a dog and a frisbee at the same house for you to be able to complete this task, if they don’t you won’t be able to do it

I have two kittens in one house and I have brought them both an antique cat bed, I have left them every night in their room and put the door in my inventory. I have watched them for a while and they use the food bowl and the scratching post but not the beds. Is this a glitch or can kittens not use the cat beds? Also, I have the food and water bowl, they never drink the water- they only eat the food, is this supposed to happen?
Kittens don’t use the adult cat items as much as the adult cats, I don’t know why but maybe they will have their own items one day!
Its not suppose to happen but it isn’t really a major issue as they don’t need to drink to survive.

Hello, I’m doing the puppy odyssey quest and I got up to, click on the pet store. I did that and there was a puppy for free. I got the puppy, then when I went to look at the kittens, my game crashed. Now when i play the game and click on my pet store the game crashes. Now I can’t go to the pet store anymore cause the game always crashes. Is this a glitch and can it be fixed? Thank you. Try restarting your device before visiting the pet store again, this usually stops it crashing for a while

I went to the pet salon at sometime because I have several puppies and kittens with clothes and all my adults have collars. For some reason I can’t find where I bought the clothes at. I have tried for hours to figure this out with no luck. Thanks for all your help!!
The clothes are from the pet salon but you only got them if you completed the puppy quest in the time limit and they are only available for puppies and kittens
My greyhound puppy always has the lobster toy in her mouth. I think it’s a glitch, but I have no clue how to fix it.

Hi I’d bought a house that came with lots of pet stuff. I put the kennel in my inventory and now it’s not showing in my inventory. I don’t have a pet store or any pets so that might be the reason why. Will the kennel appear in the inventory once I build the pet store?
Yes, you need the pet store to access the pet section of buy mode
Hello, so I am working on the cat show hobby. I was working on dog obedience hobby which I have completed. I noticed when I went to put collars on cats to send them to the pat park…. It takes my coins for the collar but doesn’t put the collar on the cat. This has been for several months now. Is this because of a cap on how many pets can have collars or a glitch? Thanks-

Yes. The submit button doesn’t click or engage. Another question. I am on level 55. I am board with the furniture provided and there’s limited decoration. I missed the urban furniture woodworking event. I am doing woodworking now but the prize is the dog kenal. If I repeat the hobby after this one will I have access to additional furniture/decorations?

I’m a big fan of your blog and play Sims Freeplay a lot, but today I was trying to move a kitten into a house owned by a teen, only it didn’t give the option for the pet to be owned by my teen. Is this a glitch or is it meant to be like this?
Technically teens shouldn’t be able to live in a house on their own (yes they can, but you can’t relocate them in a house on their own) this is probably why you cannot move the kitten.
You could try moving an adult in with the teen then moving the kitten, then delete or move that adult to a different house, that might work!
Will puppies and kittens automatically start aging after completion of the Life Dreams and Legacies quest (like sims do), or will they always remain puppies and kittens until you bake them a birthday biscuit?
No they don’t age unless you bake a birthday biscuit.
Will a dragon play with dog stuff or do dragons not get that option?
No they can’t play with dog toys.
I recently contacted EA because before the puppy/kitten update I had two adult cats and two adult dogs. In short one of my adult cats is missing, I have checked every house with a paw present and even houses with no paw, just incase. Within two days they said no, no cat is missing, which I responded that I know for a fact it is. That was almost three weeks ago, now all the sudden they can’t promptly respond, annoying. So today I go to a house where I know I have an adult cat and a puppy, and guess what ….I found another puppy and a kitten running around the house…weird cause I thought it was a two pet per house max, so how do I have four? Should I contact EA through the ticket claim that is already open, or should I do a new one. I feel this proves something hinkey is going on in my game. Have you ever had or seen 4 pets in one house? Were you on the puppy odyssey quest? As during that quest a kitten and puppy appear in your town, if not I wouldn’t worry about contacting them about this because it isn’t a major problem, its actually quite nice that you have extra free pets! But if you want to contact them again do it through the open ticket you already have.

Any idea how frequently we need to feed our cats? I have a cat and kitten in the same household and I’ve refilled my food bowl (2 star) about 10 times in the last 90 minutes. I hadn’t noticed how quickly the food disappears until now.

Some of them seem to eat a lot while others barely touch their food, honestly you don’t actually need to feed them at all, they won’t die and it does not decrease their happiness if you don’t
Hi I have this greyhound puppy in Sims Freeplay and when I got the puppy I had a lobster toy and he picked it up and started to play with it. But the problem is that he won’t put the toy down and I think it’s glitched because its showing that its in his head instead of him carrying it around. Is there anything I can do? Help! Pick up the puppy, it should drop the toy.
How do I increase my dragons happiness?
Click on it and select either praise or feed, if you don’t get these options you need to try again when they aren’t busy looking for simoleons or LPs.
What prizes can a one star dog find?😄
They mostly find simoleons, but they do occasionally find LPs

No, you cannot have a farm, if someone has a farm that is because they added their pets before the 2 pet limit was added to the game.

You have to click the bubbles to get the money from them.

Hello again! This is an odd observation/question, sorry it is long.
There are occasions when I’m busy so I’ll just have my sims work and then check back in again and have them garden – sometimes I’ll do this for a few days. Obviously in the meantime, my pools and pets have been neglected so when I have time I’ll go through and get everything caught up. Just today after having done this (my pools are all green, etc), my pets’ happiness meters are all full! This has happened a few other times. Any idea why they would stay happy for so long or is it just a glitch?

The hutches aren’t available separately, if you buy the rabbit they come with the hutch.

I’m new to the sims franchise so forgive me. I currently have one sim with 2 cats and another sim with a dog. I’m planning on getting them hitched (the sims, not the pets lol). I’m assuming I’ll have the option of moving them in together so what will happen to the 3 pets considering only 2 are allowed per house?
