Once you reach level 11 in The Sims Mobile you will be able to complete the Baby Quest to add babies to your town!

The first thing you need to do is purchase a Changing Table which you can find in the baby steps collection in buy mode:
Once placed you will get the goal to complete the Baby Quest, to start this click on the changing table and select ‘conceive plan for a baby’:
You will then have 2 days to complete the baby quest to unlock the bassinet, if you don’t complete the quest in the time limit you can start it again by clicking on the changing table to try and earn the bassinet but you won’t be able to add babies until the quest is complete
There are 15 parts to complete:
Can’t find one of the event options on your sim’s partner? You may have a story chapter to complete first, if not check under the friendly or flirty options as it might be there. If you still cannot find it try using another sim who your sim has a friendly relationship with
1.Bring up baby plans with your partner or family member- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
2.Tap on a table to create a baby wishlist- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
3.Complete the Baby-Steps Budgeting event- takes up to 8 hours to complete (will take up to 4 hours if their partner is one of your sims)* (select the option under flirty on your sim’s partner to start this event) Reward: 25 simoleons and 10XP
Can’t see the event?You may need to complete a story chapter event first
4.Tap on a couch to call friends and share the joyous news- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
5.Complete the Baby Talk Event- takes up to 8 hours to complete* (I could only get this option on a friend of my sims, not their partner, select the option to start this event) Reward: 25 simoleons and 10XP

6.Complete the Baby 101 Event with your sim’s partner- takes up to 8 hours to complete (will take up to 4 hours if their partner is one of your sims)* (select the option on your sim’s partner to start this event) Reward: 25 simoleons and 10XP

7.Decide on a baby name with your sim’s partner (select the option on your sim’s partner)- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
8.Save up sleep (select the option on a bed)- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
9.Complete the Baby Proofing Event with your sim’s partner- takes up to 8 hours to complete (will take up to 4 hours if their partner is one of your sims)* (select the option on your sim’s partner to start this event) Reward: 25 simoleons and 10XP

10.Complete the Adoption Options Event with your sim’s partner- takes up to 8 hours to complete (will take up to 4 hours if their partner is one of your sims)* (select the option on your sim’s partner to start this event) Reward: 25 simoleons and 10XP

11.Read ‘The Hungry Llama’ children’s book on a couch- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
12.Complete the Baby 101 Event again- takes up to 8 hours to complete (will take up to 4 hours if their partner is one of your sims)* (select the option on your sim’s partner to start this event) Reward: 25 simoleons and 10XP

13.Browse dream nurseries (select the option on a table)- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
14.Complete the Baby Proofing Event again- takes up to 8 hours to complete (will take up to 4 hours if their partner is one of your sims)* (select the option on your sim’s partner to start this event) Reward: 25 simoleons and 10XP

15.Agree with your partner or family that it’s time for a baby (select the option on your sim’s partner)- 5 seconds, costs 2 energy Reward: 25 simoleons
QUEST IS COMPLETE!
*the event can be completed quicker than time shown if you complete the actions with your sims during the event
Completing this quest in the time limit unlocks the Bassinet which you can find in the storage section:
Once placed your sims can:
- Adopt a Baby Boy
- Adopt a Baby Girl
- Have a Baby
Sims don’t need to be married to have a baby
Once you select an option the baby will arrive in 30 minutes, you can then name the baby, feed and check the baby and complete family events with the baby.

Is there any way I can have a baby without the quest?
No, you need to complete the baby quest before you can have babies for the first time, once the quest is complete you can have babies in the game without completing this quest again.
Do you need to have a third sim slot available to play as the baby when its grown up?
Only if you already have 2 playable sims in your house.

I ran out of time for the baby quest and now I don’t know how to restart it
Click on the changing table and select conceive plan for a baby again to restart the quest.
It took me more than two days so I had to repeat now I have a baby
I’ll share you some tips regarding first baby event.
There are 7 long events, normally it means you need 7 * 8 hours (56 hours) to complete it without any actions.
#1st tips: if you do it between your 2 own sims, each event will be reduced to 4 hours. It means you only have to spend 7 * 4 hours (or 28 hours) without help. Luckily having two sims do it means you have 2*30 energy to help it faster. You can imagine it yourself.
#2nd tips: if you already have 3rd sim when you do it the first time. You can save some time by reduce 1 duplicate event (either baby 101 or baby proofing, you can only choose one of it ). For example you don’t wanna repeat baby proofing, at the time you do the first baby proof event, your 2 sim and your other sim (with its partner) execute the same event. One will last 4 hours, the other 8 hours. Never complete the 8 hours event, until the 2 sims reach the 2nd baby proof event. You save time by complete the other pair event.

Hey I have a little trouble. So, I couldn’t finish the quest in time, so I had to start over. That also happens a second time. Now I’m on my third try, but I’ll probably not pass again. How did you pass? Or did you just pay for cupcakes and stuff?
What goal are you stuck on in this quest? I didn’t pay to complete it, I just made sure I set a timer on my phone so I didn’t forget to log back in at the right time.
Hi, I would also like to thank you for the images towards the steps. I have two quick questions. One, how do you earn money fairly? (Besides purchasing, and if that’s the only option, that’s fine). And two, how much patience did you have when first trying to do this quest?
You’re welcome! I didn’t find this quest too difficult to complete, I usually wait for when I have a few days off to complete a quest like this and then I set timers for each task so I can stay on top of it and complete it in the time limit. I personally don’t buy money so it does take quite a while to earn a good amount as you don’t make a lot when you complete events but as you level up in careers and hobbies you will start to earn more money.
I already accomplished this mission, but when I want to have a baby (not adopt), the option is not available and said that my characters need some privacy. Do you know why? I already tried to drive people out but still can’t have the option
Try again once there are no other sims in the bedroom, they need to woohoo to have a baby and for that they need privacy.
Hi, thank you for this site! I just tried the baby quest, but run out of time during the second baby 101. I have to try again, but now I wonder if my roomate (that is not married) can to do some of these quests too? If I can have two sims working at the quest I should be able to complete it in time. Also, it would be nice if you could write how long each step takes in your guide.
Both sims can complete these tasks yes but you won’t be able to complete more than one task at a time so they can only really help out with the events that both sims are completing at the same time. I have added the times for the events to the post for you, the reason they weren’t in the post is the times for events really don’t mean anything, you can complete it a lot quicker than the time stated when you complete the actions with your sim.
What do you do with the baby? It allowed me to do one family event and now it will not pop up.
The family events only appear every once in a while, the baby will be ready to age in a few days and they will become a child.
There is for sure no other way to have a baby? I can already tell I won’t be able to do this. I can’t ever complete limited time quests. My sim is getting married right now and the quest ended while she was stuck in the VERY LAST event with 5 hours left, only 2 simcash, and no cupcakes and barely any energy. I can’t spend actual money and my only other player sim is another girl so I couldn’t speed it up enough even doing the showers and naps and everything. And they are technically already supposed to be retired since I’m on level 16 but I didn’t figure out how to date until after unlocking marriage so she’s just now on level 4 relationship. And I want them to have at least one kid.
The quickest way to complete these quests is to check back in often, you will struggle if you sit around and wait for the long events to complete on their own but if you complete actions in that event with your sims you will complete them faster and in time.
Do you have to be married to have a baby?
No sims can have a baby without being married.
Do u have to do it again if u want another child?
No, this is only to unlock babies for the first time, after this you can add a baby without completing the quest.
