I created a similar post for Pregnancy Events so I thought I would do one for SimChase too and see if it was actually possible to complete a SimChase in the time limit.

Tips for Completing SimChase:
- Start the SimChase event at a time you will be able to open the game every day, for example, I started at around 9am so I could complete as much as possible in the day time and didn’t have to get up so much during the night. You have about 24 hours to complete an episode before the rival will win (I don’t know the exact time the rival completes an episode as it depends on the spin tokens you’ve used against them too)
- Complete in the order best for you, you don’t have to complete them in order shown, I do have a few tips below which I found useful:
- Leave longer tasks for during the night (if you can) it took me a few days to realise this but if I did the longer tasks during the night I could sleep more!
- Do tasks that require several sims first or during the day, it doesn’t matter how long these are you want to get them out of the way quickly and not have to count several times that you have enough sims completing it during the night as you are more likely to make a mistake (and it takes longer to go back to sleep!)
- Have as many sims as possible completing the tasks that require several sims at the same time (I was fuming by this- I needed 28 sims for a few tasks but preteens couldn’t do it so I only have 27 sims who could complete it at once so I had to do it twice!) make sure you check a few times that you have enough sims completing the task so you don’t have to waste any time redoing the task for one sim you missed (although if you need a ridiculous amount of sims you will probably have to redo the task anyway!)
- Set a timer on your phone for when the task will complete so you know when to check back in and start the next one
- Use 3 star items (if possible) 3 star items give you the shortest amount of time to complete the task
- Use social points sparingly (if you want to) you don’t have to use any at all but if you do, check how much it costs to speed up the task on the sim and the SimChase menu as one will be cheaper! Also if you don’t have a lot of simoleons you can leave the mastery class until last and skip that with SP to complete the episode. I had to do this with episode 8 (due to an internet issue in the night I was behind) I used 25SP to skip episode rather than spending simoleons, 38SP or 51SP on the mastery class that would have also taken time to complete

I only have 27 teen/adult/senior sims and I’m at the maximum amount of sims I can have in my town so I can’t add anymore- some tasks can be completed my preteens but I think to just annoy us they have made this one so preteens cannot complete it. If they could I could complete it in one go but now it is going to take me double the amount of time.

I had to use social points to complete this before the rival won the episode, I would have been okay for time without the internet issue. Instead of starting this task I selected the skip episode option on the SimChase menu which cost 25SP

I was worried that the rival was going to overtake me at this point so I opened the game at 7:30am every half an hour in case I needed to speed up the final task
9:06am I was informed the rival would check in in 30 minutes. I had 20 minutes left so I knew I could make it

Episode 9 won! I can sleep now!
It has been a very long 9 days, I don’t cope very well on lack of sleep so the experience has made me even more grumpy towards SimChase, yes it is possible to complete if every sim in your town is a teen, adult or senior, you don’t have anything else going on during the week and you don’t mind the middle of the night wake up calls but none of that equals fun. I really don’t know how some people manage to complete every SimChase, Pregnancy Event and Live Event using this method, I would make myself ill if I did, just 9 days of it makes me resent the game.
I honestly didn’t mind the first few days, I think in future I might try and get to at least episode 2 prizes if I think they are worth it but I really don’t see the point in putting in so much effort for spin tokens- winning episode 6 gave me 3,000 simoleons which is nothing compared to how much I have spent on mastery tasks.
I don’t like that apart from one notification to say the rival will check in in 30 minutes you don’t really know how they are doing, it isn’t like a pregnancy event where you just have to complete the tasks in a certain amount of time and you know if you are on track, with SimChase you don’t really know how long you have left and I found that very stressful. However I did only used 25 social points on this and that was only due to the internet issue which I was surprised about, although if I wanted to get a good night sleep I would have used a lot more social points.
What I have learned:
- You don’t have to complete the final day within the time limit you just have to complete it before the rival, for example, I completed episode 9 at 9:26am when on previous days I started the next episode at 9:07am
- You should be able to find all the items you need for the task that requires 15 sims max in one go, I was worried about that, especially with the last task but I managed to find all 60 alphabet soup letters with 15 sims
- You are warned 30 minutes before your rival checks in for the final episode, I’m not sure if you are warned with the other episodes
- Oh and I know that I don’t function well on little sleep!

How did you use only 25 SPs total, did you use Simoleons with the mastery tasks? I was always debating between using Simoleons and SP, for this event I ended up using SPs to complete the mastery tasks because I had a lot of LPs from the cooking hobby that I was able to convert.
Yes I used simoleons as for me these are easier to earn than SP but it’s personal preference.
I’ve calculated what you have to pay in Simoleans or SP for the daily ‘expert’ task. For this chase it was 6,981,142.00 Simoleans (almost § 7 million) or 229 SP minimum to get what exactly? A green house and some virtual solar panels? In addition, add the lack of sleep, which can also cost you your marriage and/or job… it’s ridiculous. Thank you for sorting this out. I didn’t understand one thing: the stress you had about your opponent. It’s visible in the bars how near or far behind he/she is.

It may show you where your opponent is but it doesn’t tell you what task they are completing so when it shows them as half way complete in a task you have no idea how long it will take them to complete it. I just find the not knowing stressful.
I actually abandoned/ignored every SimChase after several attempts of winning it. I was always on time, spent lots of SP to avail the shortest time for Mastery tasks, always have enough Sims to do the tasks, and even used 3-star items. But unfortunately, the Rival still wins against me. I don’t know, maybe SimChase is not right for me, lol! I still want to win it though, even just once, when the price is worth it! 🙂

Now, I’m glad you put up this post because I feel mostly the same as you do! It’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who thinks there’s little/no fun in these events and that it severely cuts into one’s sleep!
A few questions if you don’t mind:
1) I’m just curious how you can only have 27 Sims in your town? I mean no disrespect, but haven’t you been at this for years? Shouldn’t you be at level 55 by now?
2) In some episodes (like #5, for example) when you were well ahead, why not wake up around 8:30 to check in rather than break your sleep in the middle of the night? The rival never checks in early as far as I know. Is that not so?
3) You seem to use your spins right away. Don’t you think that tends to add more fuel to the stress of not knowing? What I know is that as long as I don’t bother the rival, they always finish at the set time (9am in your case) and I believe I often, if not always, get the warning they’re on their last challenge. The thing is I’m the same as you and this way, the rival stays predictable and I don’t care what challenge they’re doing because I know I have 24hrs per episode to get it all done! So basically, I like to keep the spins in case of an emergency to slow them as much as possible, like when you had your Internet issue you knew meeting the 9am deadline was going to be impossible! But it’s after I use the spins that I’m not sure when they’ll finish on that episode and subsequent ones. By the way, you couldn’t use your data either I’m guessing? That sucks!

1. I don’t have 27 sims in my town, I have 34 but I only have 27 adult/senior/teens who can complete these tasks.
2. This was the first simchase I have completed so I didn’t know when the rival was going to check in, it isn’t easy to know what the rival is going to do so I think its best to get it over and done with so they don’t have a chance.
3.Lol the spins are completely useless, if they achieved anything they might be worth saving up but S3,000 isn’t going to help. Like I said this was my first simchase so I didn’t really know what to expect.
My iPad also doesn’t have data.. sorry I didn’t play this simchase like you wanted me to!

For my current sim chase, the Halloween one, when I have a task for a lot of sims it maxs out at 15. For example I’m currently doing the 26 sims solve riddle books but when I try to make my 16th sim do it I’m told I have the maximum number of sims doing the task. As a result I’ve had to do a lot of tasks twice which is making the chase even harder. Do you know if this is suppose to be happening or is something wrong with my game?

For Simchase season 20, EA has limited the number of people who can complete the tasks. For example, you need 22 people to complete a 3 hour task but after 15 people are assigned, it cuts you off so you can’t put any more to work. So now, it has to be done twice and taking 6 hours to complete instead of 3. Why did they do this?? Is this a glitch? I finally had a system to complete these with timers and being strategic with the task times but now it’s messed up.

I updated my game tonight and it ask me to start the simchase, if I exit the game will the clock start anyway, or will I be safe to just open the game again tomorrow and click the start game then so that my simchase starts in the morning. Please help.

I stopped playing the game for almost 3 yrs. Now I’m back and I dive into this Simchase. I’m glad you’re still here coz it helps me and a lot of players. Thank you ☺️ I realized I need to skip this event. And what was worse is, I do it together with Pregnancy event 🤣 My Simoleon went low so fast. But I decided to continue the pregnancy event and I am pregnant irl. Somehow I kinda relate now buying baby stuff and all 😂

You don’t have to complete any simchase if you don’t want to.
When I turned on my game this morning, the competitor was already at level 6 1/2. Completely unwinnable. This is my first SimChase, so I went ahead and started episode one tasks. As I went along I realized that Episode 1-6 were already out of reach (gone) and I would have to try to catch up. Guessing from your posts that I might have a glitch? What do you think?
Did you start on the day the event was first available or was it a few days later? If you start later the competitor will always win unless you use SP to catch up.
This happened to me too. I think it was because I reached level 15 (I think) after the event already started. Basically the rival was working before you even knew the event existed. Future events will start on day 1.
