The Sims Freeplay- A Christmas Carole: Christmas 2020 Quest

THIS QUEST IS OVER

Christmas seems to be on track this year, will your sims get the chance to have a holiday instead? No chance! Join them for this 13 day quest from the 12th December! There are 13 sets of goals to complete in the 13 day time limit so there is a set of goals to complete each day, if you complete the quest in the time limit you win the amazing Albion Square template! Make sure you update your game to the 2020 Christmas update to be able to start this quest

You have to wait between completing each set so you complete one set per day, after completing a set you have to wait for a certain amount of time before being able to continue with the quest (the time varies depending on how long you take) unless you are behind then you will move straight onto the next set once you have completed the previous. You can use social points to skip the daybreak but it is very expensive:

TIP: there are lots of tasks that need to be done more than once, this year you can use LP to skip all these tasks or you can still use the maximum sims you can to complete the task but remember if you just use one sim you will run out of time (the amount of sims you need to complete an action will probably vary depending on the level you are on but the amounts shown in this post are the maximum)

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

First set: Complete the first set of goals to unlock the Pruned Plants and Planks pack (at the end of the post you can find all the information and pictures of all the prizes)

  • Place 5 Christmas Decorations- you can find these in the featured tab of the home store, the cheapest are the reindeers that cost S500 each but it seems to work if you place stored items from your inventory

  • Build a snowman- 10 minutes (x at front of sims house)

  • Talk to the snowman- 30 minutes

  • De-stress on a couch- 2 hours

  • Research holiday destinations- 1 hour 16 minutes (on a computer)

  • Talk to the snowman again- 3 hours 50 minutes

  • Wait for Santa’s sleigh in the park- 4 hours 40 minutes (click on x)

FIRST SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 2 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the first set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the first set

Second set: Complete the second set of goals to unlock the Tudor Exteriors Pack

  • Go to Santa’s workshop (using the sleigh in the park)

  • Question Santa- 10 minutes

  • Inspect ergonomic workstations 9 times- 8 hours 15 minutes (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?) NOTE: there are only 6 workstations at the workshop but you can click on them with more than one sim at the same time

  • Inspect present machine- 45 minutes

  • Inspect Santa’s letter pile- 1 hour 25 minutes

  • Say goodbye to Santa- 1 hour

  • Send all sims home
  • Resume holiday research- 2 hours 20 minutes (on a couch)

SECOND SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 3 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the second set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the second set

Third set: Complete the third set of goals to unlock the Tudor Side Table

  • Talk to the snowman- 10 minutes

  • Go to the Ice Palace (using the sleigh in the park)

  • Speak to the Ice Queen- 40 minutes

  • Inspect the frost blaster 5000- 1 hour 15 minutes

  • Talk to the Ice Queen- 45 minutes

  • Review snow schedule 10 times- 8 hours 15 minutes (click on the Ice Queen with 10 sims to get this option)(can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Receive warmthfulness therapy- 2 hours 30 minutes (Ice Queen)

  • Send all sims home
  • Book overseas holiday- 4 hours 30 minutes (select the option on a dining table with a chair)

THIRD SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 4 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the third set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the third set

Fourth set: Complete the fourth set of goals to unlock the Tudor Coffee Table

  • Search for vacation clothes- 15 minutes (on a wardrobe)

  • Talk to the snowman again- 30 minutes

  • Talk to Pepper in the park- 1 hour 15 minutes Can’t find Pepper? Pepper should appear on the simtracker so you can whistle them to the park

  • Review Pepper’s roster- 30 minutes

  • Give Pepper some warmthfulness therapy- 2 hours 50 minutes

  • Check simbnb confirmation- 24 minutes (on a computer)

  • Find 36 winter socks- 8 hours 30 minutes (select this option on objects around your sims houses) NOTE: there is no maximum on how many sims you can have completing these tasks that require multiple sims so have as many as possible completing them

TIP: if you speed up with LP you will find more socks than if you just wait for it to complete (or can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Call a cab- 24 minutes (from a phone)

FOURTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 5 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the fourth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the fourth set

Fifth set: Complete the fifth set of goals to unlock the Grand Entrance Pack

  • Talk to Kam Ham in the nightclub- 10 minutes

  • Decline Kam Ham’s offer- 30 minutes

  • Go to Albion Square (using a phone) TIP: if you leave Albion Square during the quest use the phone to get back there

  • Collect the key from Carole- 10 minutes

Albion Square is the stunning house template you unlock if you complete this quest in the time limit, it is actually 3 houses in 1. Carole can be found in the house furthest from the park area, Fran the ghost is in the house closest to the park and our sims simbnb is the house in the middle where Paul the ghost can be found:

  • Inspect the house- 1 hour 15 minutes (click on the x in front of the middle house)

  • Have a rest in bed- 2 hours 30 minutes (Albion Square bed) can be completed in 2 hours 20 minutes using a 3 star bed at home

 

  • Search for noise 14 times- 8 hours 30 minutes (click on 14 items around Albion Square and your sims homes) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

FIFTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 6 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the fifth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the fifth set

Sixth set: Complete the sixth set of goals to unlock the Tudor Heights Pack

  • Relax at a TV- 10 minutes (Albion Square or 8 minutes 3 star TV at home)

  • Clean up the rubbish- 30 minutes (ground floor kitchen in the middle house in Albion Square)

  • Panic over ghost- 1 hour 15 minutes

  • Talk to Carole about ghosts- 15 minutes (first house in Albion Square)

  • Get some air at the bench in Albion Square- 1 hour 16 minutes (bench in the park area)

  • Talk to the ghost- 30 minutes

  • Research ghost languages- 2 hours 30 minutes (bookcase in Albion Square, 2 hours 3 star bookcase at home)

  • Find 60 ghostlish translator parts- 8 hours 30 minutes (select this option on objects around your sims houses) NOTE: there is no maximum on how many sims you can have completing these tasks that require multiple sims so have as many as possible completing them

TIP: if you speed up with LP you will find more parts than if you just wait for it to complete (or can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Make the ghostlish translator- 15 minutes (from x in the kitchen in the middle house)

SIXTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 7 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the sixth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the sixth set

Seventh set: Complete the seventh set of goals to unlock the Albion Streets Pack

  • Use ghostlish translator on the ghost- 10 minutes

  • Greet the ghost next door (in the third house, closest to the park area)- 15 minutes

  • Question Fran (the ghost)- 10 minutes

  • Ask Fran about haunting- 30 minutes

  • Ask Carole about ghosts- 45 minutes

  • Think about Carole’s lesson- 1 hour 16 minutes (dining chair)

  • Search for 17 pieces of information about Carole- 8 hours 30 minutes (one computer is needed for each sim completing this task) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Clear snow near phone booth- 4 hours 10 minutes (across the road from the house, near the lion statues and Christmas tree)

  • Call a private investigator- 1 hour 16 minutes (using the phone booth)

SEVENTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 8 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the seventh set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the seventh set

Eighth set: Complete the eighth set of goals to unlock the Iron Fencing Pack

  • Ask Paul about Carole- 10 minutes

  • Change into something stealthy (select browse clothes on a wardrobe and change an item of clothing)

  • Find 19 pieces of information about Carole’s past- 8 hours 30 minutes (click on 19 items around Albion Square and your sims homes) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Read Carole’s diary- 2 hours 50 minutes (Albion Square or 2 hours 20 minutes 3 star couch at home)

  • Reflect on Carole’s childhood- 45 minutes (x in middle house in Albion Square)

  • Watch Carole’s video tape- 1 hour 40 minutes (Albion Square or 1 hour 20 minutes 3 star TV at home)

  • Weep at a couch- 1 hour 35 minutes (Albion Square or 1 hour 16 minutes 3 star couch at home)

  • Rest on a bed- 2 hours 40 minutes (Albion Square or 2 hours 20 minutes 3 star bed at home)

EIGHTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 9 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the eighth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the eighth set

  • Search for 100 pieces of the contract- 8 hours 30 minutes (select this option on objects around your sims houses) NOTE: there is no maximum on how many sims you can have completing these tasks that require multiple sims so have as many as possible completing them

TIP: if you speed up with LP you will find more pieces than if you just wait for it to complete (or can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Read the contract- 1 hour 35 minutes (x on balcony in middle house in Albion Square)

  • Confront Carole- 15 minutes

  • Find someone to persuade Carole- 1 hour 16 minutes (dining chair)

  • Call Santa- 24 minutes (phone booth)

  • Wait for Santa- 2 hours 15 minutes (x near Albion Square park area)

NINTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 10 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the ninth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the ninth set

  • Apprise Santa- 10 minutes

  • Think at the bench in Albion Square- 1 hour 16 minutes

  • Confront Carole with her past- 30 minutes

  • Confront Carole with her present- 1 hour 15 minutes

  • Consider what happened- 1 hour 40 minutes (Albion Square or 1 hour 20 minutes 3 star couch at home)

  • Talk to Santa about contract- 20 minutes

  • Search for Santa’s contract 22 times- 8 hours 30 minutes (click on 22 items around Albion Square and your sims homes) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Read Santa’s contract- 1 hour 35 minutes (x on balcony in Albion Square)

  • Explain contract to Santa- 30 minutes

  • Give Santa warmthfulness therapy- 1 hour 15 minutes

TENTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 11 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the tenth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the tenth set

  • Support Santa’s confrontation- 15 minutes (click on Carole)

  • Devise a way to cheer up Santa- 30 minutes (Albion Square or 24 minutes 3 star couch at home)

  • Push Santa on sled- 2 hours 20 minutes

  • Show Santa the giant Christmas tree- 3 hours 20 minutes

  • Sing 23 Christmas carols- 10 hours 20 minutes (have 23 sims click on x at the front of their houses and in front of the tree in Albion Square) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Accept Santa’s apology- 30 minutes

  • Hatch a plan with Santa- 1 hour 16 minutes (dining chair in Albion Square)

ELEVENTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 12 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the eleventh set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the eleventh set

  • Panic with Pepper- 45 minutes

  • Ask Santa about his thoughts- 15 minutes

  • Find 150 stocking fillers- 7 hours 30 minutes (how is that possible in one go?!) (select this option on objects around your sims houses) NOTE: there is no maximum on how many sims you can have completing these tasks that require multiple sims so have as many as possible completing them

  • Give Pepper good news- 20 minutes

  • Finalize plan with Santa- 15 minutes

  • Ask Fran about Alex- 30 minutes

  • Search 25 times for Alex’s address- 8 hours 30 minutes (click on 25 items around Albion Square and your sims homes) (can skip all for large amount of LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

TWELFTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 13 (come back tomorrow for the final set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the last set, the time depends on when you completed the twelfth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the twelfth set

One sim selects take a snapshot and a second sim selects have photo taken using the camera- I love the realistic animation on this one!

Thirteenth Set: Albion Square

You will find Albion Square under the driveway homes tab on a standard or premium residence, the first one is free, after that the cost in simoleons depends on how many houses you have already built. You can add up to 4 cars to this house lot!

The other three car parking spaces need to be unlocked by purchasing with simoleons:

  • Additional Space One: S250,000
  • Additional Space Two: S750,000
  • Additional Space Three: S1,500,000

Once you purchase an additional space you will be able to add another car but you need to have more than one adult/senior sim living in this house to add more than one car otherwise it will just switch their car to the new one you have just brought. For example if you wanted 3 cars in this house you need 3 adult or senior sims living in this house.

Once unlocked you will be able to interact with all the surrounding areas too such as the Christmas tree, phone booth, sled in the park and be able to collect your daily reward from the snowy red mail box:

I really love this house template, I love the London theme and the fact that there are 3 townhouses in one really fits in with that. This still works like a normal house so you can only have 4 sims living here at one time.

You could always demolish this house and build one house in it’s spot if you would prefer.

The only difference between the standard and the premium is the back garden is bigger on the premium and there is a little park behind the houses. I don’t think the extra park is needed so I prefer this house on the standard residence.

The standard is 18×18 and the premium is 18×36 so you can only edit the house, you can’t edit the park area next to the house or across the road. On the premium the little park behind the houses is in the grid so you could replace that with another house if you wanted to:

The bay windows are amazing, the curtains can be opened and closed and you can even put items in them this year!

TIP: If you do want to move the bay window you need to remove the items inside it first as they aren’t technically in the room

Firstly sorry for the late post, my internet stopped working on the 9th and it has just been fixed. The Missing Claus Quest is back as a Player Favourite Quest which means you will be able to start this quest between the 11th-17th November to get the full 13 day time limit. These are optional so you will need to click on the green play button next to the title of the event in the active tasks tab to start:

There are 13 sets of goals to complete in the 13 day time limit so there is a set of goals to complete each day, if you complete the quest in the time limit you win the gorgeous Farmhouse template!

If you completed this quest last time you won’t get it again, if you started it last time unfortunately you will have to start from the beginning this time (these are the times from the last time this quest was available, let me know if anything has changed and I will update this post)

  • Discuss Christmas spirit with sims (4 times)- 2 hours 15 minutes (select the interaction between two sims, use 4 pairs of sims (8 sims) to complete this at the same time)

  • Have 4 pairs of sims panic- 2 hours 15 minutes (select the interaction between two sims, use 4 pairs of sims (8 sims) to complete this at the same time)

  • Place 5 Christmas decorations (buy 5 decorations, you can find these in the featured section of buy mode, the cheapest are the glowing reindeer that cost S500 each but there should be a free Christmas tree which also counts)

  • Research snowfall- 12 minutes (computer)

  • Call the ho-ho-hotline- 32 minutes (phone)

  • Search for the weather expert Almanac (5 times)- 2 hours 20 minutes (bookcase, use 5 sims to complete this at the same time)

  • Phone Cirrus- 3 hours 20 minutes (phone)

FIRST SET IS COMPLETE

No need to wait this time around, you will move straight onto the next set!

Second set: Complete the second set of goals to unlock the Rustic Walls and Floors Pack

Thirteenth Set: Farmhouse and A-Frame Roofing

You will be able to build the Farmhouse on a standard or premium residence, the first one is free, after that the cost in simoleons depends on how many houses you have already built

NOTE: it is not possible to build a house with the veranda (roofed porch) it is currently only available on the Farmhouse

The only difference between the Farmhouse on a standard and a premium is the garden and one different object in the basement. You still get the chicken coop, table and barn on the premium like you do on the standard, you just get an extra picket fenced area on the premium:

The standard comes with a candle in the basement and the premium has a lamp to match the one on the other table:

I think I prefer this house on the standard rather than the premium as I don’t think we really need the extra picket fenced area that you get with the premium

update your game to the School’s Out update to begin this quest

L-SHAPED ROOMS ARE HERE! ONCE YOU COMPLETE THIS FEATURE QUEST YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE L-SHAPED ROOMS IN ALL YOUR HOUSES! TO START THIS QUEST YOU NEED TO FIND LEE THE MECHANIC AT THE NIGHTCLUB. THERE IS NO TIME LIMIT BUT IT WILL COST YOU EITHER SIMOLEONS OR SOCIAL POINTS TO BEGIN THIS QUEST.

What is a feature quest?

  • A feature quest unlocks and introduces a new feature
  • The quest is shorter than a main or discovery quest
  • There is no time limit or time limited prize
  • Costs simoleons (or social points in this case) to start the quest (cost varies depending on your level)
  • You cannot start a feature quest at the same time as another feature or discovery quest
  • Before there was only the Cars In Lots Feature Quest but now there is also this one you can select which feature quest you want to do when you click on Lee (if you haven’t completed the other one already)

Click on Lee the mechanic at the nightclub to get the pop up to begin this quest, there is a drop down menu so you can select the feature quest you want to complete, it will cost simoleons or social points to begin (the amount varies depending on your level):

  • Talk to Lee in the nightclub- 15 seconds

  • Get psyched with Lee- 30 seconds

  • Watch DIY Homes on a TV- 36 seconds

  • Peruse room designs- 24 seconds (on a computer)

  • Call Bree the builder on a phone- 48 seconds

  • Discuss l-shapes with Lee at the nightclub- 30 seconds

  • Admit defeat with Lee- 1 minute 15 seconds

  • Send your sim home
  • Build or resize a room (like you normally would)
  • Create an l-shaped room. You will notice one of these two orange buttons now on the screen, click on the room renovator button to be able to create an l-shaped room and when you are done click the room button to create normal rooms:

1.Build a room like you normally would

2.Click on the room renovator button

3.You will see yellow lines on some walls, these are the ones that can be extended, click and drag on these to make your l-shape

4.Click the green tick to confirm

The next step is listed under the next task

  • Modify an l-shaped room. From the image above:

5.Click on the room button to modify your l-shaped room (this allows you to drag that section to make it wider)

6.Click the green tick to confirm

  • Question reality using a mirror- 48 seconds

  • Lose your mind with Lee at the nightclub- 5 minutes

  • Say goodbye to Lee- 45 seconds

The Sims Freeplay- Snow Problem Quest

THIS QUEST IS OVER

The Snow Problem Seasonal Quest is back for a limited time (from the 27th June- sorry for the late post!) complete this Player Favourite Event* in the 13 day time limit by completing a set of goals everyday to unlock the stunning Snow Chalet!

*What are Player Favourite Events? These are events or quests you opt in to complete for a second chance to complete them, you will be able to start these within an open period date if you haven’t completed it already. These are optional so you will need to click on the green play button next to the title of the event in the active tasks tab to start:

 

You have to wait between completing each set so you complete one set per day, after completing a set you have to wait for a certain amount of time before being able to continue with the quest unless you are behind.

If you completed this quest last time you won’t get it again, if you started it last time but didn’t finish it you will have to start it from the beginning this time. If you brought the snow chalet from the online store but haven’t completed the quest unfortunately you won’t be able to complete it this time.

  • Repair the bad luck locomotive- 5 minutes

  • Check the manual- 1 hour 3 minutes (on a park bench)

  • Kick locomotive- 4 hours 40 minutes

  • Get coordinates- 6 hours (snowman)

  • Go to the park

  • Find Jack Frost in an ‘iron-ic board’ disguise- Jack is the Ironing Board at the Ice Palace- 5 minutes

  • Find Jack Frost in his ‘newsworthy’ disguise- Jack is disguised at the Newspaper Boy at the Ice Palace- 1 hour

  • Ask Jack for his quarters’ key- 6 hours 20 minutes

FOURTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 5 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the fourth set) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the fourth set)

Fifth set: Complete the fifth set of goals to unlock chalet doors

  • Wait for day 6 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the fifth set) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the fifth set)

Sixth set: Complete the sixth set of goals to unlock a chandelier and wallpaper

  • Discuss weather- 30 minutes (Wizard Wickham)

  • Think of a petty problem- 1 hours 50 minutes (on a park bench)

  • Argue with another sim- 2 hours 30 minutes (select the interaction between two sims)

  • Speak to Wizard Wickham- 11 hours

  • Go to the wacky weather source- 6 seconds (click on the locomotive)

SIXTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 7 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the sixth set) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the sixth set)

Seventh set: Complete the seventh set of goals to unlock rugs and flooring

  • Go to the wacky weather source (click on the locomotive again)

You will arrive at the stunning Snow Chalet- this is the prize you unlock if you complete this whole quest in the time limit, keep reading for pictures and a video tour of the chalet!

  • Confront owner- 1 minute (grouch)

  • Persuade Grouch- 50 minutes NOTE: you have to do all 3 options as none of them work with the Grouch, then you persuade him one last time so you will get the goal to Persuade Grouch 4 times

  • Persuade Grouch- 2 hours (select one of the other 2 options) GLITCH: the glitch should be fixed now, if you are still having issues or would like to ask for compensation due to you being unable to complete in the time limit please contact the makers
  • Persuade Grouch- 5 hours (select the last option)
  • Persuade Grouch- 12 hours 30 minutes (last time!)

  • Use locomotive- 1 second

  • Go to the chalet (locomotive in park)

  • Give present- 1 minute (Grouch)

  • Hug Grouch- 6 hours 40 minutes

  • Speak to Grouch- 14 hours 10 minutes

  • Leave chalet (on the locomotive select go to the park or use the simtracker to go home)

The rugs can be found in the rugs section, you unlock the small and large black and white shag rugs, the first small and large white shag rugs are free, after that the small ones cost 6LPs and the large ones cost 8SPs

The flooring can be found in the floors section, the first one of each is free, then the Chalet Skirting costs S2,000 and the Chalet Grey costs S150

Eighth Set: Chalet Dining Tables and Chairs

These can be found in the dining room section, the first chalet blonde table is free after that it costs S15,000, the chalet black costs S15,500 and the chalet white costs S16,000. The first four chalet black chairs are free, after that they cost S8,000, the chalet grey chairs cost S8,500 and the chalet white cost S9,000

Ninth Set: Chalet Countertops

These can be found in the countertops section, the first one of each are free after that the wood panel overhead costs S25,000, the wood panel corner costs 4LP, the chalet corner costs 6LP and the wood panel costs 12SP

Tenth Set: Oven, Stove and Sink

The wood panel stove can be found in the kitchen section, the first one is free then they cost 10SP

The chalet double oven and chalet granite island can be found in the countertops section (the oven can also be found in the kitchen section) the first of each is free then the oven costs 40SP and the island/sink costs S65,000

Eleventh Set: U- Shaped Couches

These can be found in the living room section, the first chalet black and brown ones are free, after that the black one costs 30LP, the brown one costs 31LP and the grey one costs 32LP

Twelfth Set: King Size Beds, Bedside Tables and Lamps

The beds and bedside tables can be found in the bedroom section, the first king blue and king pale pink beds are free after that the king blue costs 40SP, the king pale pink costs 41SP and the king white costs 42SP. The first chrome and rose gold bedside tables are free, after that the bedside chrome costs 24SP, the bedside rose gold costs 25SP and the bedside black costs 26SP

The hanging lamps can be found in the lighting section, the first black one is free, after that the black and white ones both cost 15SP

Thirteenth Set: Snow Chalet and Other Items!

You will be able to build the Snow Chalet on a premium or standard residence, the first one is free, after that the cost in simoleons depends on how many houses you have already built

You can also find another new floor, Chalet White Carpet which costs S300, four new doors, two are door frames which cost S500 and S700, the other two are deep wood doors there is a single and double and they both cost S2,500

In the bedroom section you will find 3 new sidetables, black, white costing 1LP and the blonde sidetable costing 2LP and in the rugs section you will find two more shag rugs in white and black, these ones are extra large and cost 9LP each

THIS QUEST IS NOW OVER

Your sims are just waiting to see what disaster will occur this Christmas, join them for this 13 day quest from the 12th December! There are 13 sets of goals to complete in the 13 day time limit so there is a set of goals to complete each day, if you complete the quest in the time limit you win the spectacular lakehouse template! Make sure you update your game to the 2019 lake house Christmas update to be able to start this quest

 

You have to wait between completing each set so you complete one set per day, after completing a set you have to wait for a certain amount of time before being able to continue with the quest (the time varies depending on how long you take) unless you are behind then you will move straight onto the next set once you have completed the previous.

TIP: there are lots of tasks that need to be done more than once, this year you can use LP to skip all these tasks or you can still use the maximum sims you can to complete the task but remember if you just use one sim you will run out of time

First set: Complete the first set of goals to unlock the Beige Diamond Rug (at the end of the post you can find all the information and pictures of all the prizes)

  • Call another sim about Christmas- 4 minutes (on a phone)

  • Have cinnamon tea- 8 minutes (you will need to buy a kettle first from the kitchen section if you don’t already have one)

  • Ponder Christmas problems- 1 hour 16 minutes (on a couch)

  • Place 4 Christmas decorations (from featured tab of home store)(can skip all for 10LP but the glowing Reindeer can be brought for S500 each)

  • Give Christmas present- 3 hours (select interaction on another sim)

  • Build a snowman from the X- 2 hours 40 minutes

  • Call Cirrus from a phone- 56 minutes

FIRST SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 2 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the first set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the first set)

  • Meet Cirrus in the park (send a sim to the park)
  • Talk to Cirrus at the park- 20 minutes

  • Ask Cirrus to crank up power- 50 minutes
  • Crank weather machine up to 11- 1 hour 30 minutes

  • Inspect the sky from the X- 3 hours

  • Reassure Cirrus- 30 minutes

  • Send your sim home
  • Sleep it off- 1 hour 20 minutes (in a bed)

  • Check phone for missed call- 8 minutes

  • Speculate about S.C.- 24 minutes (in a chair) (surely it has got to be Santa!)

SECOND SET IS COMPLETE

  • Wait for day 3 (come back tomorrow for the next set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the next set, the time depends on when you completed the second set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the second set)

  • Play in the snow with Santa- 2 hours 40 minutes (select interaction on Santa)

  • Have a snowball fight with Santa- 1 hour 20 minutes (select interaction on Santa)

  • Watch TV with Santa- 1 hour 20 minutes (select option on TV)

  • Say goodbye to Santa- 2 minutes (select interaction on Santa)

  • Watch next season with Santa- 3 hours 10 minutes (on TV)

  • Prepare cottage pie- 24 minutes (on a stove)

  • Give cottage pie to Santa- 30 minutes

THIRD SET IS COMPLETE

  • Pull the plug on the music- 45 minutes (select option on DJ Decks)

  • Send your sim home
  • Contemplate Santa’s words- 15 minutes (select interaction on Santa)

FOURTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Pickpocket Santa’s phone- 3 hours 20 minutes

  • Call Mrs Claus- 45 minutes (click on X at house)

  • Meet Mrs Claus in the park
  • Talk to Mrs Claus in the park- 1 hour

  • Consult with Mrs Claus in the park- 55 minutes
  • Prepare Christmas cookies 14 times- 4 hours (on a stove)(can skip all for 8LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Give Santa Christmas cookies- 45 minutes

  • Ask Santa for favour- 2 hours

FIFTH SET IS COMPLETE

Sixth set: Complete the sixth set of goals to unlock the Lakehouse Hallway pack

  • Meet Mrs Claus in the park
  • Go to the Lake House (select the option on the sleigh in the park)

  • Admire the area- 15 minutes (on the X) (this is the house you unlock if you complete the whole quest in the time limit)

  • Introduce your sim to Santa Senior- 45 minutes

  • Check on Santa- 1 hour (if you can’t find Santa at the Lake House click on him on the simtracker and he will return to the Lake House)

  • Go ice skating on the frozen lake with Santa- 1 hour 40 minutes

  • Make snow angels with Santa- 2 hours

  • Clear 4 branches at the Lake House- 4 hours (can skip all for 10LP, the task will complete but the branches won’t be removed- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Report progress to Santa Senior- 15 minutes

  • Report back to Santa- 20 minutes

  • Get motivated with Santa- 5 hours 30 minutes (select the interaction on Santa)

SIXTH SET IS COMPLETE

  • Make holiday eggnog- 1 hour 40 minutes (on a 3 star stove, takes 2 hours 10 minutes on the stove in the Lake House)

  • Check on the Lake House roast- 25 minutes (can only be done using the stove in the Lake House)

  • Pick fresh spices from plants 17 times- 5 hours 30 minutes/4 hours 30 minutes (can skip all for 58LP- need to earn LP quickly?)

  • Add spices to roast- 1 hour 50 minutes (on Lake House stove)

  • Check in on Santa- 45 minutes

  • Vacuum the Lake House- 10 minutes (using vacuum in corner)

  • Wash the dishes- 2 hours 30 minutes (it is a shame that sink isn’t a prize in this quest!)

  • Check on the Lake House roast- 2 hours

  • Turn up the heat on the Lake House stove- 15 minutes (this isn’t going to end well!)
  • Give Santa Senior an update- 30 minutes

  • Give praise to Santa- 1 hour 10 minutes

  • Wait for day 13 (come back tomorrow for the final set of goals, you need to wait a certain amount of time to start the last set, the time depends on when you completed the twelfth set but you can start the next day early by skipping the day break for a large amount of social points) NOTE: you will not get this goal if you are behind in completing the goals, it will go straight to the next goal once you complete the twelfth set)

Thirteenth set: Complete the final set to unlock the Lake House and Bay Windows

  • Go to the Ice Castle (using the sleigh)

  • Write 28 Christmas letters- 4 hours 30 minutes (click on a dining chair at a table)(can skip all for 95LP- need to earn LP quickly?)(way too many sims needed for the final day!)

  • Have 28 sims brew hot chocolate- 5 hours 30 minutes (using a stove)(can skip all for 43LP- need to earn LP quickly?)(28 sims again?!)

  • Call Santa from the X at the Ice Castle- 2 hours

  • Greet Santa at the Ice Castle- 1 hour 10 minutes

  • Cheer on the Ice Queen- 3 hours 20 minutes (select the interaction on the Ice Queen)

  • Celebrate with Santa- 2 hours 40 minutes

  • Explain to Santa Senior- 1 hour (at Ice Castle)

  • Appreciate the moment with the Ice Queen- 45 minutes (select the interaction on the Ice Queen)

  • Say goodbye to Santa- 15 minutes

  • Send all your sims home

The chimney needs to be placed on the exterior (outside) of the house, you can only place the chimney on the ground floor (or on a balcony) and cannot place it if there is something in the way above where you want to place it (red squares will appear)

Thirteenth Set: Lakehouse and Bay Windows

You will be able to build the Christmas Lakehouse on a standard or premium residence, the first one is free, after that the cost in simoleons depends on how many houses you have already built

Once unlocked you can also use the canoe, snow angel mounds and ice skates outside the lakehouse:

The only difference between the lakehouse on a standard and a premium residence is the patio area on the premium is longer, there is also a patio table and chairs and trees on the premium residence

There is enough room on the premium to build a guest house, if I manage to unlock this house I think I will add a bed and breakfast or hotel in this area
