The Sims Freeplay- Hobbies: Catwalk Model

SUNSET MALL QUEST – CATWALK – TEEN AND ADULT SIMS – PRIZES: MALL STORES, BOWLING HOBBY AND 3LP

Once you have completed the Sunset Mall Quest you will need to build area 2 of the mall and then you will be able to built the catwalk area (see my guide to the mall for more details) once built one of your teen or adult sims can start this hobby at the mall.

There is only one catwalk so only one sim can complete this hobby at a time, click on the catwalk and select:

Strut Your Stuff- 2 hours 15 minutes

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the catwalk collectibles. Every time your sims strut their stuff on the catwalk their hobby skill level up percentage will increase, once you reach 100% you will level up, there are 6 levels. You need to reach level 6 to be able to unlock all of the catwalk collectibles, once unlocked you will be able to find them.

The table below shows the level up percentage:

For example you would need to complete the hobby 4 times to reach level 6 from level 5

NOTE: it says 133% but you will start from 0% at level 2

The next table shows you for each level what catwalk collectibles you unlock (so you can then find those ones too) and also the level up reward that a second and future sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

NOTE: only the first sim completing this hobby needs to get to level 6 to unlock all the collectibles, future sims will be able to find any collectible even if they are only on level 1 in this hobby

You won’t find a new collectible each time, you will get repeats, if this happens just keep going, you will find them eventually! If it is still taking too long you can use the lucky spin on the row where you cannot find the item, this will cost LPs, when you click on the LP button it will clear the row and give you a random collectible on that row so you aren’t guaranteed a new item (you will get back any other collectibles you already had in that row) Need to earn some LPs to use the lucky spin?

The completed catwalk model collection is shown below, once you complete the collection you need to click ‘start a new collection’ at the top of the hobby collection screen, this clears the board so you can complete the collection again to earn more rewards (you will only get the option to restart the hobby collection when you have completed the collection):

The first time you complete each row you will unlock new mall stores, after this time you will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles

Find the first row of walks to unlock:

Casual Clothing (adult female)- 90,000 6 hours
Wumple Zone (toddlers)- 100,000 6 hours

Find the second row of walks to unlock:

No small feet (adult male shoes)- 75,000 3 hours
Growing up (preteens)- 110,000 6 hours

Find the third row of walks to unlock:

Shoulder pads (adult female business wear)- 110,000 6 hours
Heel yr sole (adult female shoes)- 90,000 8 hours
Style for men (adult male)- 125,000 10 hours
Zip it (teen male)- 90,000 10 hours

Find the fourth row of walks to unlock:

Leap (teen female shoes)- 100,000 1 Day
Seniors Clothing (senior)- 110,000 8 hours
Sport and Skate (male teen shoes)- 70,000 8 hours
Simmer- Fun Fashion (teen female)- 80,000 1 Day

From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 3LP

Time Limited Hobby Events– the catwalk model hobby appears in these events, to complete these you have to complete the catwalk model hobby a certain amount of times during the time limit to unlock all of the prizes, you can find a list of time limited hobby events here. If you want to complete these time limited hobby events then have one sim get to level six in this hobby before the next event starts so you only have to do the shortest option when the event begins!

The Sims Freeplay- Hobbies: Seashell Collecting

LIFE DREAMS AND LEGACIES QUEST – BEACH: SEASHELLS – TODDLER AND PRETEEN SIMS – PRIZES: EARRINGS, HATS AND 6LP

Once you complete the Life Dreams and Legacies Quest you will be able to use orbs to build the Beach, once the Beach is built one of your toddler or preteen sims will be able to complete this hobby by clicking on the seashells washed up on the beach:

This is my least favourite hobby, just because you have to do this at different times of the day to find all the shells, the night ones are the worst as night starts at midnight! I will not be doing this hobby again.

You have to come back at different times of the day to find all the shells:

Night- 10 minutes (between 12am- 6 am)
Dawn- 1 hour (between 6am- 12pm)
Noon- 2 hours (between 12pm-6pm)
Dusk- 3 hours (between 6pm-12am)

Each option will unlock two rows of shells in the hobby collection:

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the seashell collectibles in that row. You still level up in this hobby but the hobby level up percentage isn’t important as the seashell collectibles don’t unlock depending on your level, you just have to go back at different times of the day to find all the shells.

The table below shows you the level up reward that your sims will receive when they level up in this hobby:

The rewards for completing this collection are earrings, hats and 6LP:

The first time you complete the seashell collecting hobby you unlock earrings for female preteens (found in the store under accessories, once purchased they can be found in the wardrobe under accessories) and hats for female and male toddlers and male preteens (found in the wardrobe under hats)

From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 6LP

The Sims Freeplay- The Sunset Mall Quest

LEVEL UNLOCKS: 12 UNLOCKS: the mall TIME LIMIT: 7 days PRIZE: burger bar

To begin this quest you need to build the mall, you can find it on the right hand side in simtown. If you complete this quest in the time limit you will unlock the burger bar. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the mall but you won’t get the burger bar

You cannot complete this quest at the same time as any other discovery quest

HOW LONG DOES THIS QUEST TAKE TO COMPLETE?

Times may vary depending on the star rating an item has.

Send a sim to the mall
Buy something from the mall store (click on the store icon in the entrance)
Send a sim home
Invite a date to the new mall- 8 minutes (click the interaction between two sims)
Summon courage on a couch- 12 hours 30 minutes

Invite a date to the new mall- 5 minutes
Send 2 sims to the mall
Investigate strange noise- 10 hours 30 minutes
Introduce your sim to the robot- 10 minutes
Leave the mall
Have 2 sims watch the news- 4 minutes
Ask another sim to return to the mall- 2 hours 30 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
Remind sim about shopping- 3 hours 30 minutes (select interaction between two sims)
Watch self defence on TV- 11 hours

Send 2 sims to the park
Have a sim go running- 9 hours 12 minutes (click on thinking man statue)
Send 2 sims to the mall
Clear boxes- 2 hours 30 minutes
Talk to robot- 25 minutes

Suggest a prop- 2 hours 40 minutes (select any option)
Suggest an animal- 5 hours 30 minutes (select any option)

Perform an act- 7 hours 31 minutes
Talk to a sim- 15 minutes (the sim is standing outside the mall)
Shut down the lasers (switch off red button on wall- 1 minute)
Distract the robot, you need to do two things to complete this goal:

1. The correct object is Wind up dog– 5 hours 30 minutes

Then once that task is done you need to click on the lasers again (switch off- 2 seconds)

Investigate the robot- 15 minutes

Oh and he is a toddler– that wasn’t obvious at all!

Investigate the robot head- 10 minutes
Build a new store- 1 hour S1,000

Browse new store (click on store icon in entrance)
Cheer with another sim- 1 minute (interaction)

QUEST IS COMPLETE!

The entrance to the mall now needs to be cleared before you can unlock the next areas (including the Catwalk Model Hobby) My Guide to the Mall shows you what needs cleaning in the mall, how much the stores cost and what clothes you unlock in each store!

Prize: Burger Bar

Is the prize worth it? Yes, I think it is- otherwise you have an empty space on this level of the mall!
The burger bar is located on the middle level of the mall above the ground floor you have already opened.

NOTE: you need to click on the upstairs button at the mall to get the option to build the burger bar. If you can’t see the button you need to have a sim go to the mall. Click on a bench on the left side upstairs as if you want that sim to “rest from shopping.” The icon should appear now.

What can you do with the bar?

Adults can have burgers (wait for burger- 1 hour) have a sim serve at the bar (10 hours) so that sim can have a burger- 10 minutes

Teens can have burgers but also milkshakes at the bar (wait for milkshake- 10 minutes) if you want them to have a milkshake you again need a sim serving and then 2 sims sitting at one table as they share the milkshake.

How do I start this discovery quest?
Build the mall to start this quest

Does the time limit start when I click to build or once the building has complete?
Once it has finished building the quest and time limit will begin

Why can’t I do this discovery quest yet?
You cannot do more than one discovery quest at the same time, if you are currently on another one (the list can be found here) you will not be able to do this one until that one is completed

Can I do discovery quests at the same time as a main quest?
Yes you can

Do I have to do this quest?
If you don’t start building the mall you don’t have to do this quest at all but if you have already started building or started this quest you need to complete it before you can move on to the next quest

I haven’t started this quest yet, will it still be available when I want to do it?
Yes it will be, you can choose to start it whenever you like

How do I distract the robot?
Click on the wind up dog then once that task is complete click on the lasers

My game will not recognise I have completed the leave the mall goal, what should I do?
Try and have all your sims not doing any action, this sometimes makes the game recognise you have completed that goal

What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
The burger bar at the mall

I can’t complete construction on the burger bar, why?
You need to click on the upstairs floor button at the side of the screen to see the next floor at the mall

What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the mall before you can move onto the next quest

I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

I don’t like this quest! Can I just skip it?
No, you have to complete this quest before you can move onto the next one now that you have started it, if you don’t start building the mall you don’t have to do this quest but once it is built the quest will begin

Some times are slightly different on my game, why is this?
Times may vary depending on the star rating of the item you are using, as the higher star rating an item has the quicker you will complete a goal

Some times are really off/ different goals show for me, why is this?
This will be because the quest has been updated recently, I try my best to keep these posts up to date but it is difficult as I cannot redo every quest each time the game is updated. If you notice any changes please let me know so I can update the post

A DANCE TO REMEMBER – BOOM BOX – TEEN OR ADULT SIMS – PRIZES: BREAKDANCING THEMED ITEMS AND 5LP

TIME LIMITED HOBBY – TIME: 7 DAYS – TIME LIMITED PRIZE: DJ BOOTH

Once you complete the Salsa Dancing hobby you will be able to complete this hobby using your teen or adult sims, to begin this hobby you need to buy the boom box from the promotions r us store for S5,000 and place it in one of your sims houses:

I cannot place the boom box, it says its locked/ limited item, what do I do? You will have this problem if you try and place it from the new items tab, look in your inventory instead to be able to place the boom box in one of your sims houses.

The 7 day time limit will begin as soon as you complete the salsa dancing hobby, if you complete the breakdancing hobby in the time limit you will unlock the DJ booth:

Your teen or adult sim needs to click on the boom box and select one of the options:

Quick Break- 1 hour 30 minutes
Long Break- 10 hours 30 minutes

NOTE: the first time you complete this hobby you can only buy one boom box so only one sim can complete this hobby but you can send another sim to a neighbours town to complete this hobby (if they have a boom box) after the first time as many sims as you want can complete this hobby as you can buy as many boom boxes as you want

After the time has passed come back and click the exclamation mark above your sims head to find one of the breakdancing collectibles. Every time your sims complete one of the options above their breakdancing hobby skill level up percentage will increase, once they reach 100% they will level up, there are 6 levels. You need to reach level 6 to be able to unlock all of the breakdancing collectibles, once unlocked you will be able to find them.

You will earn XPs when you complete a row in the hobby but to complete the collection you need to find all 12 of the collectibles

If you complete this hobby in the time limit you will unlock the DJ Booth, you can find it in the electronics section and it costs S100,000! (far too expensive!) And a sim can’t even dance while another is DJing

The rewards for completing this collection are the breakdancing themed items and 5 LP:

The first time you complete this collection you unlock the breakdancing themed items (even if you don’t manage to complete in the time limit) it seems to just be lights, wallpaper and flooring:

I was hoping for some breakdancing outfits!

From the second time onwards each time you complete the collection you will earn 5LP

Once you complete the A Dance to Remember Quest the time limit for the salsa dancing hobby will start straight away, to begin this hobby you need to buy the jukebox from the promotions r us store for S5,000 and place it in one of your sims houses:

I cannot place the jukebox, it says its locked/ limited item, what do I do? You will have this problem if you try and place it from the new items tab, look in your inventory instead to be able to place the jukebox in one of your sims houses.

If you complete this hobby in the 7 day time limit you will unlock the Latin villa from the quest:

You will need two sims to complete this hobby at one time, the first sim selects wait for partner and the second sim selects one of the hobby options:

Quick Salsa- 1 hour 30 minutes
Extended Mambo- 7 hours 30 minutes

NOTE: you can only buy one jukebox the first time you complete this quest and 4 sims can use a jukebox at one time (2 couples) after the first time as many sims as you want can complete this hobby as you can buy as many jukeboxes as you want

Every time your sims complete one of the options above their salsa dancing hobby skill level up percentage will increase (it increases for both sims), once they reach 100% they will level up, there are 6 levels.
