2. Select the store tab in the wardrobe:
3.Visit the costume and swim store or hair salon
It says NEW next to clothes you have recently unlocked in the store or brought in the wardrobe:

When you buy a new item it is then available in your wardrobe for as many sims as you want (who are of the same gender and life stage) to use at the same time, instead of having to buy the item for each sim like you previously had to.
How do you send a Sim to the second floor? I can’t even see the second floor. Im on the part where I have to investigate a store on the second floor
If you are on that goal you have already been to the second floor, use the escalator to get upstairs and up buttons on the side of your screen to see the upstairs: https://thegirlwhogames.wordpress.com/2015/09/07/the-sims-freeplay-pretty-little-planters-quest/
What age sims can go in the cinema? Can teens go on a date there?
Teens can go to the cinema, I cannot remember if they can go on a date there though, I completed this one my game that I lost so I don’t have the cinema at the moment to find out.
Can I just build the juice bar and the movie theater but none of the shops?
No, firstly you need to build stores to unlock the bowling hobby to be able to complete the hobby to build the juice bar and you need to build 8 stores to unlock memory lane to be able to build the cinema.
do the upstairs shops count as “mall shops” to unlock mall area 3? I completed pretty little planters and the catwalking hobby and am trying to get to the bowling alley hobby but im worried the upstairs shops wont count and im wasting my money
I believe you have to build downstairs shops to unlock that area, I don’t know for sure but you do have to build upstairs shops to unlock upstairs areas so I’m guessing it is the same for downstairs!
Hello. I can’t build the mall tell I finish the pretty little planters. Please help!
I have heard of a few people having this issue. If the game was working correctly it would let you build the mall and then start the sunset mall quest but it seems there is a glitch where it is telling you to complete the pretty little planters quest that you cannot access until you have completed the sunset mall quest. I would recommend that you contact EA about this issue as I am unable to fix technical issues and hopefully they will be able to sort this out.
For some reason I have this quest but havent built the mall, now its saying I can not build the mall without completing the quest. And this is stoping me from doing other quests.

Hi I’m having a problem.. I’m completing the bowling hobby currently to get the juice bar and have unlocked all the shops downstairs. I wish to gain access to the hangout area upstairs but I have to build 4 shops and only 2 are available. Will more become available once I buy the two already there? Thanks.
If you look at the picture in the post of the mall, stores 17,18,19,20 are all in the first area of the mall upstairs, these need to be built before you can unlock the hangout area.
I just finished the pretty little planters and wanted to build the make up kiosk, but I dont see bubbles to clean the trash. Do I need to build 4 stores on the 2nd floor first?
Yes, you need to build 4 stores then you can build the hangout central area, then you will need to clean that area to be able to build the makeup kiosk.
I can’t Build the back loft,
And I have 14 shops and I cleared 3
It doesn’t have a ✔️At the 8 shops
So you have built 14 shops? Or just unlocked them?
Hi there! Just wondering if it is normal for a mall shop to say it will take a certain time to build but then take much longer? So I just clicked on a shop, it said it would take 8 hr and 90,000 simoleons. I clicked yes to build it and the construction icon appeared saying it had 23hr 59min left to go! Do you know if that is normal or a glitch? Thanks for such an awesome blog.
Sounds like a glitch to me, if this keeps happening I would suggest you contact support to see if they can fix this issue. You’re welcome!
Thanks for replying, I had a feeling it might be a glitch. Unfortunately since the last update, I can’t get the game to even open so I have had to send a ticket to support for that. Haven’t had a response yet so all I can do is wait and see. Thanks again for your help.
Have you been back on the app store and downloaded the hotfix? My game wouldn’t let me in earlier so I went to the app store and saw another version to download and that seems to have fixed the issue.
Thanks again for your help. I did download the hotfix when it came out and from then on my game wouldn’t work. As I mentioned, I put in a support ticket, but they have not provided any help. I save my game every day to the cloud (after reading about your experience!), so I ended up uninstalling the game and re-installing then restoring my save data. Unfortunately this still hasn’t fixed the problem and my game continually just stops working and when I can get it to work it is really glitchy. I am having to un-install and re-install constantly just to get some game play always uploading my data to the cloud so that I don’t lose too much and then repeating the un-install/re-install process over again. I also have plenty of storage still on my phone, so that shouldn’t be a problem either. *sigh* Takes a lot of the fun out of playing and I am now hanging out for the next update hoping it will fix the problem. Thanks again for your suggestion, much appreciate.
Oh that is really annoying, I really hope the next update fixes these issues for you, its definitely no fun when the game doesn’t work properly!
This is just amazing!!!♥️
Thanks! 🙂
How many life points would you suggest to finish the fashion hunter?
100? 1000? A million?
I need a goal of i end up spending what I have.
By the way… Thank you!! You’ve been a godsend and helped me get through so many quests.
Every time I start one i check out your site so I can get it all done.
I would save at least 100, hopefully that will be enough but it is hard to know for sure!
You’re welcome!
Can you win Coins From The Coin Fountain?
No you cannot unfortunately.
Hi! For the event coming up on the sleepwear, if I understand correctly you mentioned not to start building the mall yet? Is that correct?
No, you will need the mall to be able to complete this hobby event, it says on the post not to bother if the event has already started as you have to complete the discovery quest first and then build the catwalk model hobby area so it would take longer than the time limit for the hobby event but you might be able to start the sleepwear event if you start building it now!
Hi, I’m finished the Pretty Little Planters quest but I still can’t see the clean up options. I’ve already built the first 3 stores (Little Mischief, Fash N Dash, The Buisness).
Can you build hangout central or does it say you need to clean up first?
Do any of these stores feature a braid for women?
The only shop that contains hairstyles is Bang!Bang! Salon and there aren’t any in there.
What happens with the skydiving center location if you do NOT finish the fashion hunter quest within the time limit? Do you PFY simoleons? Or does it become something else?
It will just be an empty space.
Thank you!
And I just realized my typo: “PFY”. Should say “pay”.
It would be nice to have a pay penalty rather than nothing at all. The task completion items are very skewed to The same few 😫.
I did, however, find I can have 6 sims going at the same time: 5 in my town and 1 in the neighbor’s.
Are there any wedding dresses you can purchase in the mall?
No wedding dresses aren’t available in the mall.
Hi! Thank you so much for everything you do! You’ve helped so many of us optimize our ability to play this game, and we are all so grateful!
I have a question about the cost of building the shops in the mall. Does each shop count as a separate business in Simtown? If it’s going to cost me 300,000 to build the mall, will the first shop cost 325,000 and all subsequent shops cost 350,000? Or are the prices in this post what the shops actually cost? Usually in your posts, you have a caveat about the price and time it takes to build a location varying upon how many other Houses/Businesses/Places one has in their town, but does the same principle apply here? Or is the Mall an exception?
Thanks! All best
You’re very welcome! The costs of the shops doesn’t increase like other businesses, I’ve recently completed the ground floor on my second game so all those prices in this post should be accurate, I will update the second floor prices when I unlock them.
