Completing this quest unlocks another senior hobby, the quilting hobby. If you complete this quest within the time limit you will unlock the patchwork teddy bear for toddlers to play with. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the quilting hobby but you won’t get the teddy

- Call a friend using a phone- 4 minutes
- Bring a sim to the park
- Gaze serenely on a park bench- 9 hours
- Ask a sim about the serene gaze- 3 minutes 42 seconds
- Cook pizza- 40 minutes (need to be level 2 in cooking with a one star microwave to make pizza) (can be started early)
- Give some pizza to another sim- 1 hour
- Feed ducks in park- 12 minutes (if you use a toddler this goal will only take 4 minutes) (can be started early)
- Paint a picture (using an easel- can buy from promotions r us)- 3 hours (can be started early)
- Freak out over amazing picture- 1 minute
- Draw out chess game- 1 day 20 minutes
- High five a sim- 1 second (two sims need to be friends to get this option)
- Call the old sim back (using a phone) – 4 minutes
- Get overexcited at another sim- 1 minute
- Search for quilting online (using a computer)- 4 minutes 57 seconds
- Drive to the quilt fair (click on a car on your drive, if you don’t have a car buy one from the car dealership)- 19 hours 30 minutes
- Make a fancy coffee- 4 minutes
- Use power tool (plant)- 2 hours 25 minutes
- Heat hands in warm water (using a sink)- 4 minutes 24 seconds
- Play ‘quilting mama’ game (using a tv)- 11 hours 30 minutes
- Get the quilting kit (from promotions r us store for S2,500)
The quilting kit can only be used by seniors, once brought it can be found in the inventory section under the hobby and career tab to place in your home.

You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 25 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 25?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
The life dreams and legacies is the next quest but I don’t want my sims to die, what should I do?
Stay on this quest, if you don’t complete this quest your sims will not age and die
You can stay on this quest for as long as you want

Does a senior have to complete these goals?
No, an adult can
How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker,this post explains more about the simtracker
Pizza is locked, how do I cook it?
Your sim needs to be level 2 at cooking and have a microwave at that house
How do I give pizza to another sim?
Just click on a sim and select give pizza
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it.
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
How do I place an easel in my house once I have brought it from the promotions r us store?
You can find it in your inventory under career and hobby items
I don’t get the option to draw out a chess game, why?
Are you using an adult sim and the chess board in the park?
Do I need two sims to draw out a chess game?
No, you only need one
Why don’t I have the option to high five another sim?
Your sims need to be friends to get this option
I don’t have a car or the car dealership built yet, can I get a car without it?
Yes you can build a house that comes with a car, these can be found in my House Guides Part One and Part Two
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
A teddy bear
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the quilting hobby before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests

No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

Got slammed with work and still have to finish the bird feeding quest. Do you know if I have to finish In Stitches in five days from Feb 19 to get the teddy bear, or do I 5 days from once I finish the bird feeding quest and the In Stitches quest (currently shows as “in que”) begins?
You have 5 days once you start the quest, after you finish the bird feeding quest the in Stiches one will start with 5 days on the timer

Its to try n force you to spend real money to buy lp so u can complete it and they can make money from a free game.

Yeah, I’m almost done with the quest and I wouldn’t have made it if I hadn’t of used almost 20LP. This game reads it as if were playing the game 24/7 😞
I think they expect you to play 24/7 or just buy LPs, which of course is what they want you to do and that isn’t fair
Is there anything in this quest that can be done at the same time?
Bake apple pie, feed ducks, grow potatoes- nothing very long I’m afraid!
You have 120 hours to complete the quest, and it takes (roughly) 116 hours to do everything with no delays. It’s tight, but it can be done.
Running concurrently the pie baking, duck feeding, painting, and potatoe growing, you can gain an extra 6 hours.
Also, I wonder if the drive to the fair is quality-dependent (ie a 3-star car taking 18 as opposed to 24 hours)?

Yeah they make it so all the long goals have to be started after completing the previous task, it’s really annoying but they do it to make us buy LPs to speed them up!
I started this quest right at midnight and I have been setting alarms if need be and I will be just making it with out using LP’s. That’s not fair to people who can’t play that diligently.
I know, its annoying, this is meant to be a game but it can be stressful! I wasted 13 hours doing a task, with an hour left my game crashed and I had to start the task again 😦
yeah, some of us have classes to go to, work to do, etc etc. i don’t want to be one of those kids who die after not sleeping 3 days straight for a video game 😦 in essence, sure we can complete the tasks within the time frame provided, but we don’t want to adjust our lives to an ipad game! but i guess they have to make money somewhere. rant over.
I know they could at least give us a week so we don’t have to be on it at every minute of the day, but I wouldn’t worry about getting the patchwork teddy, just go at your own pace.
To shave off several hours, I have been trying to catch the longer tasks with less than two hours left (1 hr 59 mins is optimal). That way, you only use one LP at a time and its not so bad.
I’ve done that in the past using LP’s with about an hour left but missed completing on time for whatever reason and ended up wasting those LP’s for nothing. It’s a tad ridiculous they want you playing 24/7 lol
Just go at your own pace, the prize really isn’t that worth it and you will still unlock the hobby when you finish 🙂
Oh I know! I just try hard on quests which I want the limited reward for and go at my own pace for rewards I don’t want. I think they need to give us more ways to get life points as my supplies are dwindling

I need to paint.. But I don’t have the shop built 😦 I’ve already wasted 7 hours of doing nothing. On top of that, I can’t build it before the timer because it’ll take 2 days, approx. 60 hours, to build it. And I still have a long way to go to finish the quest.
You need to build it to complete this task, you will just have to finish the quest late, you will still unlock the hobby you just won’t get the patchwork teddy

I will create a bird feeding hobby post soon but you need to go to the bench in the middle of the park that has the pigeons on it and get your senior to feed the birds
Does the Teddy bear have any value? Is it just a little decoration or can kids play with it?

It’s really not even that worth it to get the bear since you still have to buy it for almost 30,000 simoleons. I recommend just taking your time and not wasting LPs
how do I get my sims overexcited?
You need to click on another sim and select the option
If you have a toddler feed the ducks it only takes five minutes opposed to 15 minutes by adult. Thought you might like to know that tip 🙂

This teddy bear is handy when a toddler gets a life dream where he wants to play with a teddy bear. It costs 5 lp normally but now you can choose 28 000 simoleons version.
Is there any house that includes a teddy bear? I couldn’t find any in my town.

I think you can, but obviously you wont be able to do the hobby without a senior
Oh I knew the hobby itself would require a senior: I just wanted to see if adult Sims could do the tasks. I’m not ready to age up any adults yet! 🙂

I’m doing this quest on Android and after Tai Chi there is a 24 hour fishathon. this fishathon is the kind of thing that I could have started 23 hours ago and then by now after the Tai Chi I could have just waited one hour and then used that in the quest to keep ahead of things. So I really like that you have all of the steps in the quest here but could you add the fishathon after Tai Chi for Android users? If I had known, I could have gotten the 24 hour jump on this quest. I know it’s impossible to keep up with all of the new changes that they introduced, however I find it extremely valuable that you have listed out all the mundane tasks that I can have somebody doing in a remote house then I just visit that house when I need that task to be done like growing potatoes or baking an apple pie. Just don’t visit that house or do anything with that sim until you need that portion of the quest to be completed.
Oops wrong quest. But the trick on having a Sim doing a portion of the quest ahead of time is great, I must look like a noob being excited about it but it helps to pare down on the time required to complete a quest.

The fancier car does cut the time for driving to the quilt fair (I had 19 hours for 3-star). Also while driving around looking lost, you can collect simoleons from the car as it travels around town.
Shawn on 2/20/14 asked about a higher quality car helping – yes, just drove to the quilting fair in my luxury car in 19 hours. But I’m still behind… Oh well

I am stuck, the upgrade made my microwaves etc. unusable until I complete the breadwinner challenge, but I am on the stitches challenge and I need to cook a pizza, there is no pay to skip option. So I can not do any more challenges help

Hi. Thanks for this wonderful site. I’m stuck, please help. I just completed the Stitches Quest. I bought the quilting centre and put it in my senior’s house. I even bought the over priced teddy bear. But now I’m not seeing anymore quests. I still have the weekly goal and the social one that you need neighbours for. What happened? Please help.

My version says I’m at Lvl 24. I just don’t know poo w what to do. And I have this version where I have no real idea how much simoleons, life or social points I have.
The figure is the same for all and it’s somewhere in the millions. Have you ever come across a version like mine?

At level 24 you should have started the bird feeding quest, are you sure it isn’t in your goal tab?

I’ve never played on a kindle so I’m not sure how the information should appear on your screen but not having an amount for LPs or SPs sounds very strange!
Hi again. So I just checked my game and here is what I know.
Town worth: 4,531,254 simoleons
Next reward st 5,000,000
Next Sim unlocked at Lvl 26
Daily reward: 6,065
That 1,962,934,272 figure scrolls across at the top of the game just below the level, date and time and %. That figure is fixed below the simoleons dollar sign and scrolls below both the yellow and purple diamond. When it scrolls it is ended with the letters ‘ ‘lp’ and ‘ sp’ meaning life points and social points, I’m sure.
My town’s Sim count is 19/20. I know I have to add another sim.
In the sim tracker it only says 2 active tasks. One is a weekly task and one is a social task.
That million dollar figure has remained the same since I began playing.
While it is really nice to get a break from pressured pace of completing quests, I would like my quests back. So any ideas or suggestions. This is open for anyone to comment as well.

So we can still make pizza even if we haven’t completed the Sous Judgemental or no? Because im stuck on “Cook a Pizza” and whenever i press “cooking” at the stove.. It just says NAH so please and thanks.

I’m currently on the In Stitches quest, and after “Ask a sim about the serene gaze- 14 hours” it jumped straight to “Feed ducks- 15 minutes (toddler- 5 minutes)”, completely ignoring “Make pizza- 40 minutes” and “Give some pizza to another sim- 1 hour”
