Completing this quest unlocks another senior hobby, the quilting hobby. If you complete this quest within the time limit you will unlock the patchwork teddy bear for toddlers to play with. You can still complete this quest once the time limit is up to unlock the quilting hobby but you won’t get the teddy

Version One
NOTE: the next quest allows your sims to age and die, if you don’t want them to die then do not finish this quest.
Some times may vary depending on the star rating the item has.
- Call a friend using a phone- 4 minutes
- Bring a sim to the park
- Gaze serenely on a park bench- 9 hours
- Ask a sim about the serene gaze- 3 minutes 42 seconds
- Cook pizza- 40 minutes (need to be level 2 in cooking with a one star microwave to make pizza) (can be started early)
- Give some pizza to another sim- 1 hour
- Feed ducks in park- 12 minutes (if you use a toddler this goal will only take 4 minutes) (can be started early)
- Paint a picture (using an easel- can buy from promotions r us)- 3 hours (can be started early)
- Freak out over amazing picture- 1 minute
- Draw out chess game- 1 day 20 minutes
- High five a sim- 1 second (two sims need to be friends to get this option)
- Call the old sim back (using a phone) – 4 minutes
- Get overexcited at another sim- 1 minute
- Search for quilting online (using a computer)- 4 minutes 57 seconds
- Drive to the quilt fair (click on a car on your drive, if you don’t have a car buy one from the car dealership)- 19 hours 30 minutes
- Make a fancy coffee- 4 minutes
- Grow potatoes- 2 hours (can be started early)
- Heat hands in warm water (using a sink)- 4 minutes 24 seconds
- Play ‘quilting mama’ game (using a tv)- 11 hours 30 minutes
- Get the quilting kit (from promotions r us store for S2,500)
The quilting kit can only be used by seniors, once brought it can be found in the inventory section under the hobby and career tab to place in your home.

I have missed this quest! Why can’t I start it yet?
You cannot miss main quests they have to be completed in order. You need to complete all previous quests (list can be found here) and reach level 25 before you can start this quest
Can I complete this quest even though I have passed level 25?
Yes, you just need to complete all previous quests then this quest will start automatically
The life dreams and legacies is the next quest but I don’t want my sims to die, what should I do?
Stay on this quest, if you don’t complete this quest your sims will not age and die
You can stay on this quest for as long as you want

Why are there two versions of this quest?
Some quests have two versions, as when the makers have updated the times for quests they haven’t updated them on all devices so some players still get the old times
Does a senior have to complete these goals?
No, an adult can
How do I send my sim to the park?
Go to the park and click on the whistle next to a sim who isn’t busy on the simtracker,this post explains more about the simtracker
Pizza is locked, how do I cook it?
Your sim needs to be level 2 at cooking and have a microwave at that house
How do I give pizza to another sim?
Just click on a sim and select give pizza
What do you mean when you say a goal can be started early?
Any goal that you can normally do can be started early because you will have access to it and any goal that you can’t normally do you will have to wait until you get the goal to be able to complete it.
The tip with this method is to put the sim doing that action early in a different house that you cannot go to until you get that goal or it will not work
How do I place an easel in my house once I have brought it from the promotions r us store?
You can find it in your inventory under career and hobby items
I don’t get the option to draw out a chess game, why?
Are you using an adult sim and the chess board in the park?
Do I need two sims to draw out a chess game?
No, you only need one
Why don’t I have the option to high five another sim?
Your sims need to be friends to get this option
I don’t have a car or the car dealership built yet, can I get a car without it?
Yes you can build a house that comes with a car, these can be found in my House Guides Part One and Part Two
Why do blue footprints appear when I try to use an item?
Blue footprints appear when your sim cannot access an item you want them to use, you need to either rotate the item or move an item that has been placed in front of it so they can use it
What do I get if I complete this quest in the time limit?
A teddy bear
What happens if I don’t complete in the time limit, can I still finish this quest?
Yes you have to finish it to unlock the quilting hobby before you can move onto the next quest
I didn’t complete in the time limit, can I restart the quest?
No, you cannot redo quests
Can I still get the prize if I don’t complete in the time limit?
No, the only way to get the limited time prizes is by completing the quest in the time limit

When you say you can start early for tasks can you start and finish those tasks before it asks you like 5 tasks prior?

Do you have to use two or one sims for the long drawn out chess game? I currently have two doing the task but I’d rather use the sim for something else if you only need one

If I complete the “In Stitches” quest will all of my sims die? Or only the sim that is doing the quest..

All of your sims will start to age and die when you start the life dreams quest.
If I finish this quest and I move on to life, dreams and legacies will it still automatically age my sims even if I don’t finish that quest?
Yes
No!! I wanted to get each married couple a child and have them all be teenagers before my sims started automatically aging!!! Will there be time in the preteen and teenager automatic life stages to have them go to school every day and get their grade average up to an A???
There should be enough time to send them to school each day and get their grades up but it depends how many other tasks you make them do so if you just send them to school everyday they will stay at that age long enough to reach A grade but if you make them go to school each day and then sleep each night they will age quicker as the more actions they do the quicker they age.
Can the chess game be started early?
No it can’t, it would say (can be started early) next to it if it could.
In drive to quilt fair can I go to a neighbor’s town and use their car instead of buying the car dealer?
No, you need to have a car in your town as all main quest goals have to be completed in your town.
How much is it for the teady bear for the in stitches quest

So what happeneds after all this after all the quests are complete what happeneds to my game can I go forward and still play all my winnings and stuff I bought I been wanted and waiting for someone to answer me because I went so far into getting a lot of this stuff and time and money so I hope I can still play my game has anyone have any idea how this works. Once you complete all the main quests there is still so much in the game to do, it doesn’t end after the main quests are complete. You still have discovery quests and time limited events each update as well as creating amazing houses and much more!
I’m currently on the senior quest, doing the fishaton, and i realize i want to finish some of the hobby (ones that takes a long time to complete, like woodworking) first before i want to let my sims age and die. Which one do you think is better to give up finishing on time, the senior quest, bird feeding, or the in stitches? What prize is most useful between the three?
I would recommend completing the seniors quest in time to get the exercise bike and then you could pause on the bird feeding quest as you win a bird in a cage, once you complete the bird feeding quest you also unlock a bird in a cage so you aren’t really missing out on that time limited prize.
Hi, I completed this quest before I found your blog. I have been playing for a long time on and off now. So if I understand this quest correctly, I completed it therefore my sims will now age and die? I did not complete it in the time limit to win the prize, I typically don’t. But now I’m a bit annoyed to learn that my Sims could be aging and dying when this quest never mentioned that at all. Otherwise, I’d build a time machine and reverse this action. Do they start aging when I tell them to pee or cook? Or fill the bowl?
I haven’t started the Life Dreams Legacy Quest. I probably won’t for a while now. I got schools to build and house-holds to support along with a movie set I’m trying to build up; not to mention a crumbling police department…sigh.
Unfortunately your sims will now age and die yet but there has been an update, once your sims reach the end of a life stage it asks you if you want to age them and the no option now is free instead of costing LPs: https://thegirlwhogames.blog/2017/02/25/the-sims-freeplay-ageing-update/ so you can keep reversing them if you don’t want them to age.

I’ve just purchased an architect home and it contains a quilting kit. I do NOT want my sims to age, and never completed the in stitches quest. Will owning the quilting kit interfere with the aging of my sims?
No it won’t, you would have to purchase one from the promotions r us store to complete the quest
Can seniors use the quilting kit purchased from an architect home though? I want to buy an architect home just to get the quilting kit because I can’t get it any other way- won’t be completing the seniors quest. I dont think the quilting hobby is unlocked since haven’t completed In Stiches Quest.
I think you would need to complete the quest to be able to use it

Do I have to use a Senior Sim to complete this quest? I didn’t need one for the Bird Feeding which I’m almost done with so I haven’t aged my Sim yet. They’ve been busy with the live event.
