  1. Doing the math and assuming the next task is started the second the previous one is complete, just shy of 7 full days are needed to complete this quest. Which means they are forcing us to spend LP if we want the prize. The prize sounds like it probably would be desirable and so I feel sorry for you ad those who missed out because of the hidden LP sink.

    • Well I missed out because it took me almost 6 days to save up to build the swim center which was the most annoying part! They do just do it so we spend real money buying LPs which is unfair

      • Hi, I realised that I wasn’t going to be able to complete the task in time as I was going on holiday, and the gift didn’t seem worth the hassle.

I still haven’t even started the task, two weeks later, as I’ve used this time to do other things with my sims- improve houses and save up money etcetera without having to worry about missing out on decent rewards. Personally I think that’s a good tactic- else you just have task after task it seems.

      • How much did it cost for you to build the swimming center? And what level were you on? I’m still on the toddler quest but I was getting prepared for this quest. I’m on level 18 so I think it’s gonna be expensive. 😞

    • I agree and the prize when we complete the quest within the time is not worthed!!! You have to purchase the reward with ur lifepoints anyway, so completing the quest within time limit is not inspiring enough

    • I just started this quest and the pool is going to take me 48 hours, meaning that for me i can’t finish in time without using lp’s. Not really that bothered about the prize anyway

  2. I have a question! My town value is $858,000 so my next reward is $900,000. I am supposed to build the swim center that will increase my town value past $1M. I dont want to miss the 2LP reward they give at $900k. Do you know if it will give me the reward for $900k and then the reward for going over $1M as well? I dont want the reward just for going over $1M i need both! Thanks!

  3. Hm… when i click on my town value, It says my next reward is 2lp when i reach $900K. I was just hoping that I dont miss that 2lp bc if there is also a reward at $1M it might skip the reward… hope not. We’ll see, I will let you know.

      • The reward comes whenever you pass the town value. After that it just keeps going higher. So you would get one after you hit or get passed 900k. If you are way passed 900k then you would just go up to the next reward. They don’t expect you to get exactly 900k. So it’s just when you hit 900k or pass it. You will get both rewards. I know this because it’s the same thing that happened to me except it wasn’t because of the swim center it was from the new mansion I bought.

  4. For me, the swimming center is going to take 42 hours, cost 150,000 and I need 10 people in my town. It’s really frustrating because I had the simoleons I needed but then I leveled up and now it takes longer, costs more and I need to add a person to my town.
I will definitely not make the deadline.

    • I had the same build time on my swim center, for a total task time in excess of seven days. As I type this, I have two hours left on the fake errands task, and three hours left on the quest time limit. If I’m going to make it, then I’ll have to spend something like 35-40 LP rushing tasks, depending on how much I exploit the fact that it takes 1 LP to rush something with 1 hour and 59 minutes left.

      I’m not going to bother.

  5. Wow this is looking like I’ll spend all of my LP to make the dealine since between sleep schedule and work schedule there was significant idle time between tasks. Is there any other way to get the volleyball pool set?

      • This is my main concern at this point. Is it worth it? I’m going to hold out and see how many LPs I need to make the deadline if it is too much I’ll probably just go without and if it is worth it after all buy it with real money. It’s all a matter of what is more valuable to me the LP or the real money cost. Do you happen to know how much that is?

      • Converting that to USD that would be over $6. I’m not sure it would be worth that either. I ended up spending like 26 LP to complete the tasks in time.

      • And anyway when you do the teen idol quest you get teen idol mansion for free, and it comes with volleyball set in its pool so you can move it if you want, or just use it in the mansion!

  6. Ok. So, i got 2lp for reaching the $1M mark. It skipped over rewarding me 2 lp for hitting the $900K mark though. I was hoping to get both rewards since the one building brought me over 2 different town value goals! Just fyi, you dont!! 🙂 i was about $30k from the $900k reward, should have added another small house!! Then i would have gotten both awards!! Oh well!

    • I’m sure the 2 LPs you got was from the 900k mark not the 1M.
I don’t really pay attention to when my next town value reward will be though, it’s just a nice surprise when I get one 😛

  7. So if we don’t complete this. We can’t unlock the feature to build swimming pools right? This is a little depressing hahaha!

    • I had a stash of 50 LP from completing quests and tasks from the beginning until I was level 14 at which time I completed this quest. It costs a minimum of 19 or 20 LP. Because without any real life delays 6d 18h 39m are needed to complete the tasks not counting the time to get the 1st set of diving medals (took me about 20 minutes to do that). I can’t afford the LP to place the volleyball net on my lot atm to say if buying the LP is worth it but assuming you have the difference in LP already earned 15 LP costs just over $3 (USD). Which is based on conversion from the price above is cheaper than the over $6 (USD) to unlock it if you don’t complete the quest in time.

  8. Thank you for your useful blogs. It has helped me so much :*
It only cost me 20,000 to build the swimming center. I wonder whether it is because of the new update or my level (12) :’O

  9. One thing that I think is worth mentioning is the ‘◾Use vehicle in swim centre car park- 22hours 30 minutes’.
I’d speeded up a couple of tasks by this point using LP as I thought it would be nice to get the prize, however when I read the list above and realised just how many looooooong tasks there were in this mission and then saw the comment someone left about using LP to place the net after earning it, I just thought ‘sack that!’ so decided not to waste any more LP on speeding up steps. So far I’ve not spent any real money in the game, and I’m determined to keep it that way!! So, back to my original comment, the run fake errands step, this is a brilliant way to earn back all those LP’s you’ve used up to now!!! My sim on these fake errands is driving round town and every ten seconds he produces a bubble with a musical note in it, that when tapped gives you money. Dogs do the same thing in the garden digging up money for you and very occasionally an LP, however with this, in the space of an hour I’d gained 9 LP!! It is very labour intensive I admit, but far less so than watching the dogs, as the car produces a bubble every ten seconds like clockwork, and when you tap on the car, the game will follow it round and you just have to tap the bubbles every ten seconds 🙂

    • Yes! I have bought the mansion earlier, and with the mansion came a luxury car (3 stars), and when I go drive with it I often get 2 or 3 lp’s in a 3 minute drive. So I usually just go for a drive while watching a tv show/movie or something, and seeing as you don’t really have to have much patience for this and just watch the tv show while tapping the bubbles, it’s reaaally easy to just get 50+ LP in just ONE day.

  10. Whenever I use the slide for the quest it says the weather changed and the task could not be completed. I’ve sent the sim home and brought him back and it’s still saying it when I check on him. Any advice? Ty!

    • If you read the post you would have noticed that I did mention this. You need to either stay at the swim center for the amount of time or just skip it with LPs, if you close the game or leave the swim center it will come up with this message.

  11. I’m at the slide starring at it right now. I haven’t used any lps either.i still have 2 days and 12hrs it took me a while to find the metals. Good thing is the center only cost me $20,000 and 16 hrs but one of the quick task happened while I was a sleep. What I want the most is the 2story mansion and I don’t know where to get it 😦

  12. I’m about to start this quest and I’m wondering about something…. You said, “Use the slide- 3 hours 30 minutes (there is a glitch on this goal, so leave the swim center and go back, if you leave the pool screen and it says due to the weather change you can’t do that action, the only way around this is to stay on the screen for the whole time which is very annoying or skip it with LPs)”
Did you mean “so DON’T leave the swim center” instead of “leave the swim center”? Because then later you say to stay on the screen.. Confused.

  13. I can not get past the “collect 1st collection at the swimingpool” any ideas? I have collected the three medals and cot the price for that bud the next task dos not com up

  14. I have them all and did get 750 xp as revard and still nothing, I put 4 sims divin a fev times fo 10 min each extra and gott all the medals a few tims extra, still it does not get it that Im don with this task

  15. ;( need to use 23LPs to unlock the volleyball net. I tried my best to follow the quest on time for days.. And end up, I’m still 20 hours away from getting my volleyball net. Haiz. It’s definitely not worth deleting the game and redoing all the quests again. So tired of this whole cycle

  16. Yup, still stuck on the collection… I have four sims diving for the last twelve hours, and nothing.

  17. on sims i think what they could do is like have an ID like bakery story so then peaple can be freinds and give gifts to peaple like lp points and simleons a bit like bakery story i think that would be cool

  18. it took me like 8 days just to save then, when I got the prize with real money after finishing it was so not worth it!!!! DO NOT BUY WITH REAL MONEY!!!!

  19. Do you need to buy a cat to cuddle it at the swim center or is there a cat already there? Anyone, please reply as soon as possible. Thx!

  20. I am so sad that cant do anything except waiting for these long tasks to be over :(( building the swim center took me days and 150000 sm :(( thank you for your blog. I really find it helpful. Now my sim is stuck hiding in the toilet. Hahahaa

  21. im actually doing the cuddle cat quest.. but i cant do that because the bunny guy is blocking the way.. i cant get near the cat, what happend?? please answer thanks..

  22. To complete the deadline, I’d have to stay up for the next 4 days. Its ridiculous how long certain things are. Hiding in the bathroom for a day and looking at the slide apprehensively for 16 hours? If a 24 LP volleyball set is doing all this, I think I’d rather go for a prize that’s worth it.

  23. Hi, I’m on this quest now and need about 100,000 simoleons (ridiculous amount of money), and I was wondering if u max out the xp bar by gaining money growing plants before you even save enough money will the quest disappear or anything?

  24. How can i find the last medal in the task “find the first set of diving collectables” i can’t find the middle first row medal i have this task for 3 weeks already i did all the diving but i can’t find it help!!!

  25. Is it worth spending life points to skip one task in a weekly task? I haven’t finished the swimming pool task. I can’t build a swimming pool in my house to complete the weekly task.

  26. Mission is… To go for a drive at swimming center with vehicle in swimming center parking lot. But there is No car in parking lot.

  27. Ive been given the all goes swimmingly as a weekly task. It says to add or build apool but I dont have the tab in the home store. And when I try to build the swimming centre it says I cant until I finish the all goes swimmingly task. So im a little confused and cant see what I can do…. help :s

    • So you have been given a weekly task to add a pool? You can’t do this until you have completed the all going swimmingly quest, then you can build pools in your gardens.
The weekly tasks arent specific to your game, if it gives you a task to do something you don’t have all you can do is skip it with LPs or just ignore it.

  28. I found the first set of dives when I did the task of making a sim do a dive because I had three sims do dives. I clicked all the exclamation points when they finished and then it told me to find the first set when I already had. Now it won’t let me complete this task, even when I get all the dives over again. Help!!

  29. Hi this hasn’t really got to do with the quest but it’s really bugging me. I want to buy swimsuits for my sims and I already have the costume and swim store, but it doesn’t seem to have a swimsuit tab.

    Can someone tell me why??

  30. How much does the swimming center cost on average? I know prices vary but I just want to know like how much did u have to pay for it? Thank You(:

  31. Ok I’m new here and new to the game. I’m on level 13. My weekly task is to add or resize a swimming pool. I don’t seem to have that option anywhere to buy one. I thought maybe I had to build the swimming center, but when I go there, it says I need to finish the “It’s all going swimmingly” quest. Not sure if I’m missing something or if things are still coming or what??

  32. I just wanted to start off by saying, I’m thankful I’ve found your blog, it’s been incredibly useful! I’m on this quest currently and once again am glad to have this as a reference. I’m not going to kill myself trying to complete it in time, in fact I may let it linger as others have done so I can build up money before the next quest. Other’s have noted the difference in cost/time, and I just wanted to chime in with mine, $200,000 to build the swimming center and 48 hours to complete, Level 17, 11 Sims. awful 😛

  33. Hi! Thank you so much for your blog! It’s amazing! I do have a question though. Sorry if you have already answered it. If you don’t complete the task in time, can you still get pools in the backyard?

  34. Ugh it took me 6 days to just get the money!!! I already got one more person A WEEK after the quest ran out of time! I’ve just been using this spare time to make my houses look better, improve families, and even get a good stash of money! The point is I think we should use this time for more important things not to worry over this one quest, its too long anyways.

    • Yeah that is a good thing to do! I’m doing that on the quest for toddlers as it took forever to make the money for the pet store, so I’m saving up for future quests right now 😀

      • Smart! I have some savings, and I have renovated three houses, added some people, and started building the swim center. I’m glad that the next quest doesn’t really spend any money so you can just ” sit back “!

  35. Will there ever be a time were you don’t have quests to do? But you can still make LPs? Like quests that don’t have time limits or special prizes.

    • Once you have completed the life dreams and legacies quest there are no more time quests (unless they update the game and add more) but there are still the weekly goals and neighbour goals, you can get LPs doing the weekly goals also by completing hobby collections and increasing your town value.
preparing for preteens has no time limit, nor does coming of age, or higher education
